"The village of Chigny-les-Roses in the heart of the Montagne de Reims is the site of this restaurant in a former classroom, which is, indeed, entirely hemmed in by vineyards. Chef Benjamin Gilles can be seen in the kitchen through a window in the dining room. Now his own boss, he signs modern dishes overflowing in fresh flavours and enhanced by a zest of creativity. Vegetables and fruit feature prominently in his culinary score through a variety of preparations (raw, cooked, pickled)." - Michelin Inspector

How to Drink Champagne Like a Local

"A rural venue singled out as a personal favorite for those looking to enjoy a more intimate, less touristy Champagne experience in the countryside." - Danika Leminski

Great spot in champagne area. Beautiful curated daily menu at a great price point. The amuse bouche were a display of the foresight and technique to bring ingredients together. For starters, we had the hake with peas, rhubarb, and fennel - very fresh, tender, eye catching way to start the meal. We were surprised by getting peas in 3 different ways, in 3 different textures, especially the pea ice cream was pleasantly unexpected. For mains, we had the chicken with lemon and pistachios, which was very tender, full of flavor, perfectly complemented by the carrot puree, but what made the dish stand out were the fava beans with mussels to its side - a fantastic complement to bring a zing to the dish Finally, the cheeses were a perfect way to end the meal. Combination of local creamy cheeses, beautifully accompanied by blackberries and parsley - like picnicking in a sunny grassland

Very good food. We had a lovley evening here with good service from all the staff. Above standard, but if they aim for 1star Michelin there is still a gap to be filled.

Had dinner here on a quiet night in March. What a great experience. They served a tasting menu. The dishes were inventive and with many interesting components. But above all - tasty. Couldn't fault the cooking and friendly service. And it was fun to be able to watch the chef hard at work through a window into the kitchen. Recommended!

Overpriced for a fixe menu which also has expensive options. Food was culinarily good. The Champagne bottles were crazy priced especially in this Champagne region…aube they have enough one time customers to make enough money?

A wonderful experience! We enjoyed exquisite cuisine that was made of the finest ingredients, cod and steak not overly spiced or salted but subtly flavored with The most healthy ingredients put into the sauces and accented with the accompanying fruits and vegetables. The service, the wine, and the coffee were also excellent. We will go back there.

Incredible! This was our second time eating here and it was just as amazing if not better than the first. If you’re in the area this is an absolute must. Wonderful staff, atmosphere and food. This fantastic restaurant will definitely be a permanent fixture when we visit the champagne region. If you visit, make a reservation in advance.
