Great spot in champagne area. Beautiful curated daily menu at a great price point. The amuse bouche were a display of the foresight and technique to bring ingredients together.
For starters, we had the hake with peas, rhubarb, and fennel - very fresh, tender, eye catching way to start the meal. We were surprised by getting peas in 3 different ways, in 3 different textures, especially the pea ice cream was pleasantly unexpected.
For mains, we had the chicken with lemon and pistachios, which was very tender, full of flavor, perfectly complemented by the carrot puree, but what made the dish stand out were the fava beans with mussels to its side - a fantastic complement to bring a zing to the dish
Finally, the cheeses were a perfect way to end the meal. Combination of local creamy cheeses, beautifully accompanied by blackberries and parsley - like picnicking in a sunny grassland
