Where to Eat Around Lake Minnetonka | Eater Twin Cities

"With a bright, airy dining room that evokes Nantucket and a menu to match, CoV feels like a vacation to the East Coast. Start with the crab cake, dense with lumps of of crab meat, or a bowl of New England clam chowder. For the main course, there’s an excellent selection of sustainable seafood as well as steaks, burgers, and sandwiches." - Stacy Brooks

What happened to this place. I used to recommend the COV to everyone. If someone wanted a great brunch spot in the cities, this was the place. We used to drive almost 45 minutes to get here almost every Sunday. After a 1-2 year hiatus we have returned for the past 2 weekends, last week was just as bad but we were hoping it was just an off day. Definitely not the case. Today was even worse than last. Flies everywhere, food is burnt, took too long to come out, and the recipes seem to have changed. They used to have the best creamy hash browns, not they are scabby, overloaded with cheese on top, and random black beans that aren't supposed to be in there. I'm not going to complain about a complimentary cinnamon roll but it's not the same cinnamon roll anymore. It's half the size, extremely hard to cut through and eat, and the caramel is burnt onto to roll. Bacon is almost always perfect here, and today it came out dry and basically disintegrating when you took a bite. Tried to send it back but not a single waiter or waitress has came by. The manager doing her rounds ended up being the one to come by. Sausage burnt and shriveled. English muffin was basically a hockey puck, inedible. Prices have absolutely skyrocketed. 2 adults and a 5 year old and it's basically $100 with tip. After spending almost $10,000 with this place over nearly 10 years (lunches, dinners, drinks, and thanksgivings) , they have officially lost our business and will never recommend the again.

Google
Beautiful day to sit on the patio and watch the boats go by. Had one of the best spicy bloody Marys I've ever had. Ordered the rainbow sushi. Very good and fresh. Plenty to share. My partner got the mahi sandwich and was pleased as well. The fries were very good and came with 3 dipping sauces. It's pricey here but the experience is worth it.

Google
Decent food. Cauliflower wings and truffle fries were the best. Every dish served had a unique flavor.

Google
Stopped by for dinner on a coworker's recommendation while visiting out-of-state for business. To my tastes, this is the overall best dining experience I've had anywhere. Top notch food, top notch service, excellent views of the lake, and a nice steel drum band while I was there.

Google
I love the COV. Its located right by the lake with the patio dining area to overlook. People are walking by near the lake, train tracks running nearby the restaurant and the views are killer. Just for that alone is quite the visit. Adding in the food which was amazingly delicious. Various assortment from steak to lobster and everything in between you can't go wrong in your choice. Highly recommend 10/10

Google
Had dinner here this week. Our wait was only about 10 minutes for inside. Our server Taylor was wonderful and she seemed very experienced. My wife had the Halibut and I had the Fish and Chips (Walleye). The meals were good but not special. The atmosphere was nice and the Brownie Sundae was big and delicious. Overall a great experience even though the entrees could have used a little more flavor.

Google
We went for Happy Hour on a sunny hot day and it felt like a tiny vacation. The cocktails perfectly refreshing. I had White Sangria and loved it. All of the appetizers that we ordered were delicious and nicely presented. We had the spicy tuna roll, oysters on the half shell crab cake sliders and calamari fries. The crab cake sliders were particularly notable because they were so fresh. The service was friendly and managed to take care of many customers without seeming frazzled. The view of the lake past the patio tipped the scale for me. I will be back.

Google
Had a nice late lunch here. Tried some kind of baked oysters or something here and they were so good! I think I even had a celeb sighting. I’ll definitely gonna back for the cuisine and lake views.

Yelp
We went to COV Wayzata for Sunday brunch and really enjoyed our experience. The complimentary caramel roll was absolutely delicious to start with, and we also tried the crab cake (fantastic!) and the truffle fries. The ambiance was wonderful as always--the décor at COV is one of my favorites and creates such a great atmosphere. The only downside this time was that service felt a bit on the slower side. That said, we still love COV--it's consistently a great spot and one we'll definitely be back to!

Yelp
The service and ambience were really nice. Staff was really friendly, I had no problem with that. The food was absolutely subpar. I'm confused by the positive reviews of the food here because my husband and I felt the food was not worth the price and extremely bland. We ordered the walleye sandwich, and mahi tacos. The walleye sandwich and tacos were under salted and underwhelming. We could've got better tasting food at a Culvers tbh. Save your money and go somewhere else. You're basically paying for the ambience.

Yelp
I came here on a rainy day with a friend and the view was incredible, even with the gloom! Would love to come back on a clear day. We ordered the halibut ceviche which was super refreshing. I had the walleye fish and chips - the battered was really well fried and thin, the fries were average, but I loved the tartar sauce. My friend had the Cobb salad with grilled chicken - she enjoyed it but it had a bit too much dressing. Service was good and prices are HIGH, you're definitely paying for the view.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and had an overall amazing experience! Service was great, we came and were seated immediately with no wait. I had the grain bowl and my boyfriend had the chicken piccata which we really enjoyed! However the artichoke is what really was the star, it surpassed both of our expectations so much! I really recommend people give it a try from the appetizer list. Everything inside is decorated very well and I love that you can look out on the lake while dining. My only suggestion is for them to make the grain bowl warm rather than cold, especially for the winger it would be better in my opinion! Plenty of free parking options available and it's a great upscale restaurant to swing by for lunch or dinner. Melissa was our server and she was great as well!

Yelp
I went to COV to celebrate my 21st birthday, and while the evening had some nice moments, overall it didn't quite live up to expectations. The service was just okay--not rude or anything, but not particularly warm or attentive either. It felt a little rushed, and for a special occasion, I was hoping for a bit more care. One thing that was disappointing: happy hour is only available at the bar, which wasn't made super clear when we were seated. We found out too late, and that definitely affected our experience. The food itself was decent, but the portion sizes felt small for the price. Everything looked nice, but for what I paid, I expected a little more in terms of quantity and overall value.

Yelp
Cov has a great ambiance. I like the closeness to the water. The food is not memorable though. I have been many times, and I am always not excited by the food. Plus it is very $$$. I tried the burger and a sushi roll. Both were not worth the price tag as they were just average. Nothing to write home about. I appreciated that our waitress cut the burger in half for my friend and I who were splitting them!

Yelp
Consistently good food and drinks! Great Lake side patio in the summer/ fall and decorations inside during the winter for the holidays!

Yelp
This was the best waffle I've had in a long time. I'd for sure go back for just that alone! The only thing I didn't quite like was the cheesy hash browns. It was a little too cheesy for me. That doesn't dock any points, tho, as that's just a me thing. What lost a star was my step mom's food. She got the French Dip Au Jus. I took a bite to try it, and it tasted okay to me but I asked her if they are supposed to be cold (it just came out) and she said no. She also said the meat was a bit too chewy and not quite right. I was okay with the meat, but I'm sure it would have been better if warm! The free pastry (I think that's what it was: free) was VERY sweet. I could only handle one bite! A bit tough as well but it was still nice that it came to the table. Oh and we sat next to a fire place which was really nice! My back enjoyed it.

Yelp
White Lotus was so good! The quiche was also good but the crust was a bit hard. Ambiance was superb like always.

Yelp
beautiful lake view, the patio is the best and the happy hour is my absolute favorite. They have delicious drinks and lots of food options, favorite is the oysters and flatbread. Love the friendly and attentive service.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful! I loved every single detail about this place from start to finish. Starting with beautiful outdoor seating with lake views and florals everywhere. The indoor decor also did not disappoint with more florals and lighting. We started with the calamari - it was amazing. We also had the lobster roll and clam chowder. This was the best lobster roll I have had, including those from Maine and Montauk. So flavorful and the roll was toasted to perfection. Clam chowder was also delicious. I would say this was the best meal of our trip to Minnesota!
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
What a fantastic spot! Having spent a few years in Boston, the decor really brought back that New England vibe. My group settled onto the patio, which offered stunning views of the lake, and I loved the eclectic mix of music--from Frank Sinatra to Janet Jackson--filling the air. The staff was incredibly attentive, and the food was excellent. I savored a Foggy Geezer IPA alongside my sausage flatbread. My wife opted for the lobster roll, available hot or cold, and my sister tried a spicy yellowtail roll that came highly recommended. Everything was on point.

Yelp
Loved COV! Such a fun spot by the water, great atmosphere and view. We had the lobster fried rice and the Sandbridge and Galley specialty sushi rolls -- everything was fresh and delicious. Perfect place for good food and drinks by the lake!
google avatar

Lexi M.

Yelp
Absolutely stunning restaurant. Upon entered the decor makes you feel you are on the water in a relaxing spa. But the restaurant is perfectly situated on the water and can see lake Wayzata perfectly. The menu was amazing and there's something for everyone! The waiter recommended the sushi and the turkey sandwich. I ended up going with the lobster roll because this place had me feeling I was on the east coast.

Yelp
Cov is an excellent spot to hang out with friends and loved ones! While we did need to wait about 25 minutes for a table, it was worth it! The hostesses were friendly and were friendly when I asked for an update after 20 minutes. Happy Hour was delicious! Our waitress was prompt and friendly. She took our order and the evening went by smoothly. The burger was juicy. The crab cakes not overly bready or gummy texture. Very nice crab texture and flavor! The prime rib sliders were my personal favorite of the 3 sliders tried. Great bite, flavor, heat, and the pickles are stellar! The chicken wings are good. The ribs are cooked well, but a little tight in texture to my personal liking. The shrimp were cooked perfectly and had a good amount of spice!

Yelp
I had the turkey cranberry sandwich, one of my favorites. We also had the smoked salmon appitizer is always spot on and could be enjoyed as a meal. The HH chicken strips are great, ask for buffalo sauce and some bleu cheese or add them to a the wedge salad. Service is always great, very attentive and accommodating. How can you beat a patio on a summer day in MN looking at the lake and enjoying a great lunch!

Yelp
American / Seafood I was in the Minneapolis area and just so happened to have an old friend in the area. I mentioned I would be heading west which took my right through Wayzata so he suggested we meet at Cov for dinner. It was off season already when we met up and there were plenty of tables available. I got there first so took a look around while waiting for my buddy- there is a very large bar to the right as you walk in- good water views from the bar area. The decor is sort of "new England-ish" lots of white and wood -it gives you that summer vibe. We grabbed a booth in the main dining room and started with some fried calamari and glasses of wine. Calamari was on point. When in Rome, so the saying, do what they Romans do... so after the waitress hyped up the walleye fish & chips - I went and ordered the Walleye fish & chips. Food arrived in what I would say is the proper amount of time - and everything was definitely fresh. The Walleye was decent enough - I don't think it was the best thing I've ever had, but it was a solid meal and a good sized portion. All in all, this place seems like it is a probably a hot spot in the warmer weather, which I am sure it is. Give it a shot if in the area.

Yelp
The Mr. currently works in MN and I was up for the weekend to visit. One of his favorite places to eat is CoV. While he usually has dinner here, we decided to try Sunday Brunch. This is a beautiful restaurant with amazing ambience. We were seated right at the edge of the patio, so had magnificent water views while we dined. There were lots of great options on the menu, but we opted for the Sweet Corn Dip, French Dip Au Jus (me) with a side of clam chowder, and the Turkey Cranberry Sandwich (the Mr.) with a side of fruit. Everything was SO good. Service was top notch and we were quite pleased to be served a complimentary Caramel Roll. So yummy. We couldn't finish it all, so our sweet waitress (Elsa?) boxed it up for us. The Mr. will be able to have it all for lunch tomorrow. Pricy yes, but so worth it! When I return for my next visit, CoV is on my return list!

Yelp
This was my second time dinning here and truly just as wonderful as the first! I'm not sure why the reviews are on the lower side, this place is truly a gem in Minnesota! There is free street parking or 2 parking ramps that are also free close by. The decor is here is modern and beautiful! You FEEL fancy just walking in the door. This place is first come first serve, no reservations can be made for parties less than 6. Anywhere you sit will be a great seat but the patio is by far the best with views of Lake Minnetonka! The hostess and server with both spectacular! The food: The fresh ceviche is a MUST! Very fresh and full of flavor! The mushroom gnocchi has great flavors and I recommend adding steak! Mine was cooked to a perfect medium and was delicious! We got the chocolate cake for dessert and it was FANTASTIC!! All of the desserts are on the larger side and perfect for sharing! If you haven't been, this is a great little spot! Definitely worth checking out!!

Yelp
Sat outside on a Friday night it was so beautiful and the sunset was gorgeous on the lake. The menu items are a bit pricey. So I'd suggest going for happy hour if you're on a budget. My friend and I split a chicken flatbread which was really nice. It had roasted tomatoes, a nice zesty lemon mayo, spinach and back . And of course you can't beat the location!
google avatar

RT J.

Yelp
First of all special shout to Angeline for great service . She was awesome , friendly , helpful and knew the menu like a pro. The food came fast and cooked to perfection . Between the food, impeccable service , killer view and cool vibe I would definitely comeback again .
google avatar

Katherine G.

Yelp
Great location, consistent quality and service, but very pricy. This place is great for work team and client dinners, and needs an advanced reservation. I prefer CoV in Southdale in Edina - it has a younger vibe.
google avatar

Matthew J.

Yelp
Started with a Sauvignon Blanc and the lollipop Chicken Wings. Perfectly grilled with a nice BBQ tang. Super juicy wings. The main dish I had was the Scallops which had a nice sear with perfectly done interior. Finally, finished up with the Crisp and Key Lime Pie. The Pie slice could feed 5 people and the crisp at least 3. So I was satisfied and STUFFED by the end of the meal!
google avatar

Yelp
What a lovely view. And the food is amazing despite everyone complaining it was a little more expensive. I will pay for good service. I can't find the photos but the burger and salads were awesome. And the chowder soup. We celebrated my dads birthday and the piece of cake was massive!!
google avatar

Mark H.

Yelp
Ambience was A+ Drinks were great App and sides were good Service was ok - it was really busy. The 60 dollar steak dinner was one of the worst I've had. Not cooked anywhere near to order. Meat was absolutely tasteless and tough. Charging prime meat prices and serving choice is lame - seems to be the case? There was a cold hollandaise sauce that I guess was supposed to cover the lack of seasoning on the steak. Side veggies were cold. I also think our dinner sat out for a while because it was busy. Bummer.
google avatar

Stacy A.

Yelp
Stopped in to COV for drinks at the bar, and had a nice time. The bar has TVs and also good people watching. I got the Moscow mule and it was really good! I noticed that they have a happy hour on Saturdays from 10-4. I plan to come back for happy hour with girlfriends!
google avatar

Ashley G.

Yelp
Loved this place! Very upscale but still casual. Menu was packed with great options for food and drinks! The lobster guacamole was fresh and so delicious.

Alyssa Ann T.

Yelp
This restaurant is lovely in ambience and menu options. When I visited yesterday for lunch, the food came out fairly quickly. You can see the cooks making food, which is exciting when there is a wood fire grilled area. I ordered a chopped salad to eat in restaurant and a chicken picatta to go for easy dinner that night. Unfortunately, my salad had one chicken bone and two pieces of chicken cartilage. The server noticed and kindly insisted to provide a fresh one. They simply bagged a new salad up for me, then I nibbled on the other dish, had a cappuccino, and left. Today I am eating the other salad and I found yet another chicken bone. The staff really need to make some changes to how the chicken is prepared.
google avatar

Kendra W.

Yelp
What a great location. I was excited to see sushi on the menu and it did not disappoint. The sunrise roll and hamachi nigiri were so good. Service was timely with a great attitude given our large party. Really pretty themed restaurant with fireplace as well. I hope to bring a client back to use the reserved spaces outside.

Doug A.

Yelp
With a great view and amazing food, what is there not to love. The happy hour is a good deal if you can get in there. Try the seafood dishes for a real treat.
google avatar

Anna T.

Yelp
Absolutely divine experience! My bf and I came here one night for dinner and had the most lovely experience. No need to make reservations as they don't take them but I've never had an issue. The location gives you views to Lake Minnetonka during the day and gives you the charming coastal, classy vibes. The place is very cozy and we were sat by the fireplace which was so welcoming as it warmed us up coming in from the chilly fall weather. The drinks were delicious and fun! The food was delectable and hit the spot! Highly recommend getting seafood here if you're a fan. I loved my sushi order and my bf loved the lobster roll. We both finished our plates and drinks. Our server was attentive, super nice and fast, while giving us time to talk and enjoy our meal. This is cozy coastal vibes with delicious food and wonderful service. This would be a great place to take a walk along the lake before or after your meal too! There's a free parking ramp nearby. We loved our time at COV in Wayzata!
google avatar

Daquynh N.

Yelp
I love the lobster guacamole. They don't skimp on it. The oysters were okay, I could have skipped it. The seafood dish and sushi were both amazing. Great for hanging out. It could get loud and crowded, so make sure you have a reservation. Parking was a pain. I had to drive around a few times and walk a couple of blocks. Love that this restaurant is on the water and the train comes by every now then
google avatar

Hanah H.

Yelp
Definitely go there for the views! Great location and an excellent place to go there with a group. Outside dining even on a sunny day is good especially with all of the umbrellas. The sushi rolls were good and service was quick. Will definitely try again.

Yelp
We hadn't been to CōV until a few weeks ago (only Sunsets when it occupied the same space years back and was on the, um, forgettable side). We added a new sheltie puppy to the family in April, and he's such a well-behaved little dude who loves people and other dogs, so we use any excuse to get him on a dog-friendly patio so he can live his best life. My little guy, Mac, was not only fawned over by the hostesses and service staff as we got in, but the clientele there was super friendly even when Mac wanted to jump up to say hello. The outdoor patio was already classily designed and comfortable, and the food turned out to be every bit as good. My wife had the CōV Chopped Salad. Her takeaway: "Oh my god Scooter it's not a huge gut buster of a salad like a chain restaurant or a tavern slings at you, and they toss it friggin' perfectly. Nom nom nom." 5 stars. I had a cup of New England Clam Chowder, which was creamy and illuminating, transporting me to the first light of dawn as it crept over the horizon, casting a golden hue across the dewy Maine coastline as I settled into a weathered Adirondack chair. Where was I? Oh, so I stuck to the sea and opted for the Lobster Roll as well. Just one man's opinion here: It's the most wicked pissah lobstah roll I've had in the Twin Cities, I've had them all, and it isn't even close. In fact, my favorite Lobster Roll for years has been from Captain Kidd's in Hermosa Beach, and I'd honestly need to do a side-by-side to truly rule fairly. It's a seriously delicious sandwich and worth every bit the 35 shekels I paid. 5 stars for both items. We frequent Wayzata restaurants like 6smith for special occasions, Gianni's when we want a steak and say hello to our favorite waiter Scotty, McCormick's when we want some good pub food and be low-key, or Benedict's when we want an amazing breakfast. CōV has easily been added to the rotation specifically for relaxing outdoor time, and now I can't wait to check out what dinner is like. We'll be back [not a threat].

Yelp
We had never been to Wayzata, Minnesota and were impressed with the downtown area. We were a party of 4 and had dinner at the Cov and it was a vibrant place. Everyone was enjoying themselves and the view of the lake. The bar area was hopping. The property is upscale and our server Kimber and the food were excellent. Parking is plentiful in the free public lot and on the street. I could imagine this restaurant being right at home in Manhattan Beach or Hermosa Beach in Southern California. Now for the food, two of us had the fish tacos, one had the sashimi plate and the fourth had the sushi plate. Everyone was very pleased with their respective selection. We plan to go back to The Cov in the future as well as explore the shops in Wayzata.
google avatar

Mary N Dan C.

Yelp
We've been to Cov many times and the people watching is amazing. We always have a laugh when they ring the bell when the train goes by, nice distraction and good marketing. We took the boat over and knew we'd get a good meal. But this is really about Gaby or Gabby. We really prefer the bar or the waterfront. But the wait time was too long so we were in Gaby's area off the main street. She's a jewel. Thanks for taking such good care of us. I think I'll ask for her again and sit in her section.

Brianna Lisa Jarzebowska M.

Yelp
The food is amazing. The staff is so kind and attentive. You do not feel rushed. There is music playing, however, you can hear people speak to you. So no need to shout.

Yelp
My mom and I met up with a few other mother-daughter pairs for a girls lunch here over the weekend for lunch and we all enjoyed it! The weather didn't hold out for us unfortunately and it was super snowy, but the interior of the restaurant stayed bright and warm! In the summer it is super nice to come here and sit on the patio overlooking the water before walking around. Service here was also wonderful, we were given water and drinks quickly and the food came out perfectly timed! For food, I ordered the walleye sandwich with a side cup of the lobster bisque. The soup was delicious and I could definitely have had a larger bowl of this for lunch alone! The sandwich was great as well, the bread was super soft, the fish flakey, and the tartar sauce paired perfectly. The only downside to the food here is it is on the pricier side. Despite the quality and good-sized portions, it is sometimes her to justify just how expensive it is here. I also ordered the espresso martini and thought it was okay but the other girls at the table raved about it so that was probably just a difference in personal tastes! Overall, I would love to come back here for a happy hour priced lunch on a sunny day when we can walk the waterfront after!
google avatar

Sydney N.

Yelp
I took my mom to Cov Wayzata as a fun lakeside lunch in the winter! The ambiance is amazing - coastal and bright even on a snowy day. I can't wait to come back and sit on the patio in the summer. Service here was great, we were well taken care of and everything we ordered came out quickly! Was disappointed there wasn't any room at the bar for happy hour, and we were seated in the normal area without really being warned. Luckily we weren't riding on happy hour deals, but I wish when we were being seated they would've asked if we were here for HH. For drinks I had a hard time deciding between their ginger margarita and their espresso martini (available during brunch), I decided on the marg for a lighter option with the meal. This was a delicious cross between a moscow mule and margarita! Definitely would order again. I ordered the broiled fish tacos for lunch and they were great! Fresh and crisp, they were the perfect light seafood lunch. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but very good. Overall, I think the price point is high for an everyday meal, but I love their happy hour deals!

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cov, Wayzata with my wife of 44 years and I can't wait to go back! The food was absolutely incredible, especially the king salmon--it truly melts in your mouth. Our server, Trisha, was exceptionally great and accommodating. She made fantastic suggestions that enhanced our meal. I've been here before and had the lobster roll, which was just delicious And let me tell you about the key lime pie--it's to die for! The portion is so generous that it could easily feed four people. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience with outstanding food and service, I highly recommend Cov. You won't be disappointed! And come hungry.
google avatar

Diana P.

Yelp
This is our go to for a night out with the girls! Love this restaurant, the food, the mood it sets. Boujie looking and everyone is friendly and attentive. In the summer time you can choose to sit outside and enjoy the pretty lights and sometimes even live music.

Yelp
Came here for a date night and they did not have one single vegan dish. I was a bit shocked since it's located in Wayzata where apparently there is a steakhouse (my love) and a vegan menu (his love). Sure, they had some vegan sides like Brussels sprouts--and a couple other sides would make the cut by removing cheese garnishes lol. The 'V' on the menu is for vegetarian and not always vegan-friendly. I've never worried about this but it bummed me out that my date wouldn't have a meal to look forward to. So get this....we made one up! S/O to our server w the red festive holiday nails who listened and chuckled when we said she'd need to write it down. He ordered a pasta with angel hair, tomato sauce, asparagus, brussels sprouts, carrots, tomatoes--told her we'd trust the chef to dazzle it up with seasoning. It was delicious! So flavorful and we suggested they add to the menu as their new vegan option. I ordered a the dragon roll and subbed spicy tuna for the eel. I'm picky about my sushi but it was delicious and the rolls are about $20.

Yelp
I love this location. It's close to the water, in a very walkable area, and in the summer, the fresh air just takes your dining experience to the next level. The overall service is relaxed. The food is always just "okay." There's nothing "wow" about it, but it's satisfying. I don't have any complaints, but it just doesn't give anything that you couldn't get anywhere else. But it's a great lunch spot when in Wayzata.
google avatar

Yelp
It's that time to enjoy nice dinner and drinks along the water! I love downtown wayzata and Cov having prime seating when it's beautiful out during the summer. It's busy when it's nice out, don't get me wrong - parking and wait times are definitely a trade off I'm willing to make! While you wait to be seated for your meal, there's a really beautiful covered patio area to sit and have drinks at. I usually like to enjoy a wine when I go out to eat, but I decided to try the pineapple cov this time around - it was quite strong, but definitely tasty. For dinner, I ordered the tuna poke and serving it with the spicy Mayo was THE move *chefs kiss*. I'm not sure I'll be able to order anything differently because it was that good. It was a great portion size and I made sure to finish every last bite. You won't be disappointed with that tuna poke! Each time I've been to this Cov location has been a great experience! Yelp
We normally love Cov, but today was a little disappointing. First - I didn't realize that Sunday is only Brunch until 2PM. I really wanted something specific when we went there, but we were fine. We ordered the French Dip sandwich - and it was not at all the same as what they served the last time I had it. It is now ONLY some beef on a french roll with a little drizzle of horseradish sauce. But it is now also SMOKED. It did not say that, and I don't care for that at all. It used to have cheese too. It was just a shock to look forward to it and have it be so different when it arrived. The soup was "OK". Not amazing... We will be back, but I will read the menu carefully next time.

Yelp
We had an excellent time at CoV. The ambiance is incredible with views of Lake Minnetonka and cute decor. I had the french dip sandwich and it was amazing. The shaved ribeye was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. My parents loved their meals. Service was prompt and kind. We will definitely return.

Yelp
My favorite happy hour in the twin cities! I wish you could have it out on the patio as well, but on a nice day with all the windows and doors open it can feel like you're outside enjoying the lakefront view! The happy hour menu is still worth it. The full menu is overpriced, but still good.

Yelp
I love this place! I love coming here day or night. The views are beautiful and the location itself is so pretty. I deeply enjoy a good cocktail and they didn't disappoint. I have even been recommended to come here either close to or on Thanksgiving Day. I have been told they have wonderful holiday decor and it is a great alternative to dinner at home.

Yelp
Terrible service! Poor accommodations for seating larger group of 10+, seating uncomfortably(broken down sectional, that feels like sitting in a hole) in the hot sun, when there were available spaces to seat that would comfortably accommodate. Happy Hour is limited to just the Bar area; of course that was not an option due to the size of the group, even though we arrived earlier before the rush. When voicing our concerns we were basically met with oh well too bad so sad for you attitude, & this is what you get!
