We bought my niece a cute little outfit and the sales girl (a very pretty blonde) offered to sew a flaw. She was so kind and helpful. What a great sales women and a wonderful seamstress. Thank you for the best customer service.

I came in today. Super cute collection - tried on a few things I really liked and had no problem purchasing but customer service was awful. No one checked in on me. Associates around the cash wrap charring doing nothing. Could’ve easily sold me on $300 worth of clothes.

At the recommendation of a friend, I stopped at this boutique during a trip. While my friend was right that the boutique carries great brands (especially Spell!), I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. The staff was rude and unhelpful. I was in the store for over 20 minutes, while many other customers were in the store, and the staff stood around the register, gossiping and talking negatively about other people. They never took a break from their chatter to interact with us or ask me (or anyone else in the store) if we needed assistance. At one point, I asked one woman who had moved over to the mirror and was playing with her hair if they had more sizes of "the green pants over there." Without asking me which pants and barely looking at me, she simply said "no, that's it." Even if her response was accurate, she didn't even bother to look at the pants I was referring to. She immediately went back to checking herself out in the boutique's mirror. If you want me to spend that kind of money on a pair of pants, I expect much better service. Spend your money somewhere else, this place isn't worth it.

I went into Cove this week and was amazed at the lack of customer service I received. I purchased a Rails dress for almost $300. I’m a size small and because it had an elastic waist I knew it would fit. I purchased and left with my friends. I went to wear the dress that evening and immediately noticed a 4” opening where it had become separated from the seam towards the bottom. I had not noticed when I purchased because I handed it to the girl at the counter. I immediately called the store when I realized it to see if they had another I could replace it with. They did but said they were closing and wouldn’t be open until 10:30 the following day. I was headed home to Dallas so called and asked if my friend could bring the dress back and if they could ship me the new one. The manager and the sales person said I would have to pay for shipping even though they sold me a damaged dress. I asked to have the owner Rebecca Yanoff, to please give me a call to chat. She didn’t bother. Here’s the deal - I have my own store and have worked in luxury retail for 25+ years and I will do anything to make a customer happy. To drop a $250 dress into an envelope and ship it for $10 is nothing in the scheme of things and would have earned a customer for life. I will now tell anyone who will listen not to shop in this store and make a point of warning my friends not to go there. Buyers BEWARE.

As a small business owner, I rarely write negative reviews. I usually come to google to write because I want to share a great experience. But I want to write this review to hopefully give the staff and owner of this store something to think about. We walked into Cove on a very crowded Saturday at 6:51... they close at 7pm. We didn't realize the time and the store had shoppers in it, lights on, etc. The first thing out of the employees mouth (before we were even totally inside the building" was not "Hello!" or "Welcome!"... it was "WE'RE CLOSING," at which time we all looked shocked I'm sure... and she replied, "at 7!" Okay... so we will just take a quick look for dresses because we were with friends from out of town who were specifically looking for a dress. She found a dress quickly... now 6:53, and asked if she could try it on. The reply..."Yes, but we close in 5 minutes." Not friendly or kind, but very rude, very cold, unwelcoming and honestly, pretty offensive when a customer is holding an expensive item. We were so put off, we left without making purchase. If you want to close at 7pm, that is great, but how about being more welcoming when guests enter and **you're still open**. I have been to many stores at the end off the day, and they simply lock the front door and let the remaining guests finish up while they begin their end of shift duties. Kindness goes a long way. I run a business based on customer service, so I understand 'hours' and employee retention. The bottom line is, we weren't there to keep them past their shift, but we were made to feel very unwelcome with 2 "warnings" that they'd like us to leave. When we did leave... not a word. Not a "thank you" or any kind gesture to make us want to ever step foot in that store again. It's a shame, because they have great merchandise! I don't feel comfortable going back simply because I felt extremely unwelcome in the first place. Please have a system in place for closing that works for both the guest, and the employees. You have a fabulous store and a prime location!

This shop has great items but does tend to get very crowded (I've had to wait in line for like 20 minutes to try something on). I miss the days when they limited the number of people in the store. However I'm writing this review to IMPLORE you to never park in that parking lot next to this shop. Someone else mentioned this in a review and I'm honestly surprised more people have not - I just got a bill in the mail for $90 for having parked in that lot in a Cove-designated parking spot (before they removed them) for 20 minutes. This is OUTRAGEOUS!! I don't even know how this "company" can get away with it? Anyway, if you're going to shop here, DO NOT park in the W Gibson St lot :/

I like to browse what's new in this cute little boutique on SOCO. They have trendy casual women's fashion and accessories including dresses, pants, tops and swim suits usually in the $50-150 price range. The customer service has greatly improved in the last year and the staff now are extremely helpful. The styles update fairly quickly and they have a sale rack worth a look.

There's a reason this store has 2.5 stars. I ASKED IN PERSON BEFORE checking out what the return policy was and I was told 2 weeks. I bust my butt to get there before the 2 weeks and I can only get store credit. THEY LIED to me in person to scam me into not being able to return. I would have NEVER bought the item.. the return policy isn't the issue- it's the way that I was lied to and the RUDENESS that came from the store manager Ting Win!!!! (not sure how you spell it) young girls don't read reviews a lot and they're located on south congress so they will never go out of business, but they should!!!

Worst customer service, walked in and the employees behind counter barely looked up. LOL okay. Anyways, took my time to go through the inventory and concluded this place is not worth my time or money for the following reasons - 1. Maybe because of COVID? The selections are pre-pre season. I have at least 3 of the same items in the store that I bought on sale in Nordstrom ONE YEAR ago. And they are still full price here. 2. One silk top they carried was an off color from the brands official website. I saw that exact same color marked down twice on the official website, but sits full price here. 3. As others had said, don't expect any help. The point of these boutique is to have the associates make recommendations...etc. Yet here they are just sitting there making you feel unwelcome. There is really nothing special here, the selection are not great or the latest, and the price is not competitive. And the employees that often make or break a boutique shop like this ? Broke it.

Upscale boutique very pretty friendly staff, lots of windows but definitely expensive they have retro T-shirts for $140, beach towels for $45, perfume's, clothing, bathing suits, Bracelets four $95-$125.

Honestly, for a high end boutique the customer service here is disgusting. Their clothing is cute and priced correctly for what it is. However, when I entered the store I was not greeted at all, if anything, stared at with judgement from behind the register. I have no issue dropping racks on Misa, Saylor, ext. -- I have a shopping problem. BUT that being said I had absolutely no interest in shopping any longer than I had to in this store because of the people that worked there and their "service". The last place I would go to if I ever go back to Austin. Go check out Hemline they have the same brands and are 10000% more helpful and friendly.

I went in recently to get a gift for my wife and typically I'm lost as a goose when it comes to shopping for clothes. However I felt so welcomed by the staff and they walked me through my options and helped me find the perfect gift. Great experience!

While I thought the boutique had lovely clothing, as an out of town shopper, I didn't appreciate my inability to return a garment for a full refund - it's store credit only, which had I known, would have influenced my decision to buy something there at all as I like fair return policies. So buying clothing here is a risk, as you will never get your money back if you so chose.

I bought a dress for $88. I wore it once to dinner and a section of the seem ripped while sitting down. When I returned to the store to ask for help I was sent away with no offer to fix it, replace it, or even store credit. I'm very disappointed that the quality of the dress didn't match the price, and that the staff was so inconsiderate. The store has beautiful items, but I would think twice before purchasing a product. You don't want to spend that much money on an item that can only be worn once (and you'd have to spend additional money getting it repaired). This product clearly had a malfunction and it is the store's responsibility to make sure the products they sell for in that price range can be worn more than once.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE TO WOMAN OF COLOR I walked into the fairly empty store and not a single salesperson greeted me. I kept walking throughout the store and closely examined several pieces of jewelry, housewares and clothing and even though it was very clear that I needed assistance no one bothered to help me. Even though it was clear that I was a fashion enthusiast by my attire (Rag & Bone jeans, Alexander Wang shoes, Picard bag - not that this should matter), the staff was oblivious and failed to see that I was an ideal customer, fashion lover and ready to spend money. I was concerned that the salespeople didn't know how to greet diverse customers like myself, but I had faith and remained optimistic that they would eventually greet me, but NO. Moments later, as soon as a group of Caucasian women walked in, they were warmly greeted by the sales staff, engaged in friendly conversation and followed around the store. I was appalled at how differently we were treated and immediately informed the salesperson (who didn't greet me but did say HI to the Caucasian customers) that she should "help ALL customers" because "I was never helped the entire time I was in the store". Instead of accepting responsibility and seeing how she could finally offer her service, she instead became defensive and lied saying that she did greet me but that I just didn't hear her. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR OR WANT TO SUPPORT PEOPLE OF COLOR. THEY DEFINITELY THOUGHT THEY WERE TOO GOOD FOR MY MONEY AND DON'T EVER DESERVE MY PATRONAGE OR OTHERS WHO ARE AT RISK OF BEING DISCRIMINATED.

Clothes are ok, overpriced but ok. Staff is horrible. Horrible customer service. Never greeted when walked in and they had a sign that said "please wait filled to capacity" due to COVID yet there was no one in the store so we opened the door and asked if we could come in and they said sure..they just didn't bother with taking down the sign. My guess is to avoid having customers coming in and actually working. Never once was offered help or anything. Don't waste your time.

POC ARE NOT WELCOMED HERE (I don't normally write reviews, but I have to warn people) I work for a well known fashion magazine and was on assignment in Austin, and I decided to check out this boutique I saw off SoCo. No one greeted me when I came in, mind you I was the only one in the store. No one offered to help me and they completely ignored me even when I was in front of them looking at the jewelry section. A white family of four walked in and were immediately greeted and were asked if they needed assistance. I asked the employee at the front why I was not asked for help and she looked at me and laughed and lied, saying she greeted me when I walked in. I told her she didn't and she laughed. I immediately walked out because I didn't feel like fighting with a woman who clearly didn't want me in her store. The way they treat their customers who are people of color is unacceptable especially for a boutique that barely anyone knows about. I am a person of color and a person who could have easily bought out the entire store in a snap but the employees ugly behavior and racist attitude made me leave. Clearly they only want one specific group of people to shop in their store. Never coming back.

They have an abysmal return policy! It's non-standard at 14-days with no refunds and consumer hostile against defects. If you walk out the door with a dress and don't notice a defect, you've flushed money down the toilet.

This post has nothing to do with the the actual clothing selection (because I could care less about clothing I could go and find in either Nordstrom or Revolve)... but this post is to call out how absolutely inattentive and unprofessional the staff were. Upon walking in, I was barely greeted by 1 of two of the staff who were booth cooped up behind the register. Being someone who has worked in retail in the past, it's pretty important to acknowledge and offer assistance or even as simple as small talk with the potential consumer. While I was walking around the store the 10 kinit s I as in there, there was no interaction, no help and or suggestion of merchandise. If this is how your staff frequently acts, then I wouldn't be surprised to here that your establishment eventually went out of business.

I came into the store with my boyfriend, both of us people of color and both of us are pretty well off financially.. as soon as we walked through the door we both felt the discrimination and felt unwelcomed. No greetings, but we sure did get followed around the boutique, watched like a hawk, as if we would steal something. I came to yelp to see what other people had to say and I'm not surprised that everyone felt the same way & had a similar issue. Won't ever shop here again. Pretty disgusting staff for a place that's trying to sell high end clothing in 2019 (almost 2020). Get with the times.

Since I left my 1-star google review, they enlisted employees and friends to post bogus 5-star reviews (all on the same day) to beef up their overall rating. If this boutique is so great, why haven't they addressed any of the complaints listed there? They'd rather post fake reviews than resolve real issues from real customers. They can have their higher rating, but they still suck and now I think they're creepy.

Please don't waste your time or hard earned money at this "boutique"....COLD uninterested sales staff....cheap overpriced items....I can't think of one positive thing to say about this place. There is absolutely no resemblance of a small business here...this store is a waste of space in a great area.

The staff at this store allowed someone who was using a stolen card of mine to purchase over $700 in items and they didn't even check an ID. See something, say something.

I stumbled upon this store while exploring Austin and I'm so glad that I did! First off, the store is absolutely stunning - so bright and airy and beautifully merchandised. We were immediately greeted when we walked in and the two girls (Jill and Rebecca?) made us feel so welcomed and no pressure to buy anything that we didn't love. l walked out with the cutest Loeffler Randall sandals and I'm so excited to wear them this summer! Definitely will stop by the next time I'm back in Austin!

Cove is a fabulous boutique! While Cove has beautiful clothes , they also have a great selection of accessories. I bought a necklace and a clutch that are perfect for vacation or just a night out. The salesperson was very helpful and friendly. I'll definitely return when I am in Austin.

Such a lovely boutique. The vibe is so chill and friendly. I'm always finding something that I must have... a cute clutch, an awesome bikini and don't even get me started on their sunglasses! And not only do I love their cool & casual outfits, but I also always seem to find that one dress that my closet needs. So if you like pretty things...shop Cove!

I was recently in Austin visiting my daughter, and we stopped into Cove. I was not even acknowledged when I walked in. My daughter stepped in first, and was. I picked out some things and actually wound up buying them. Absolutely NO ONE offered any help to me insofar as getting me a different size. I purchased my 2 pieces, and was not thanked. Neither of us were told goodbye or have a nice day. NOTHING. THE MOST OBNOXIOUS STAFF I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH AT ANY BOUTIQUE EVER.

I love this place sooo much!! I was visiting my friend in Austin & we stopped in to this shop & I immediately fell in love. I had the best customer service & the girls were so willing to help. I specifically remember Allie, she was so sunny & so fashionable! She really helped me with an outfit & I immediately bought it! Thanks ladies for your wonderful service & I can't wait to wear my new For Love & Lemons dress!

Finally! A cute locally owned shop on SoCo with a great selection of brands and clothes I can afford! As a native New Yorker I've been waiting for a clothing store with a variety of style options...without having to go to a mall! The staff was friendly & knowledgeable & the location is great for a bit of shopping after lunch! I'll definitely be back for my next vacation or stay-cation outfit!

My experience at Cove boutique was nothing short of fabulous . They have a great selection of clothing and jewelry , and just as important to me , a great attitude about pleasing their customers . Love this little boutique!! Finally had a chance to stop in here and loved all the brands they carry. Everything was super cute and the staff was very friendly and helpful! My friend bought an awesome necklace and I got a couple cute bikinis to take to Europe with me....Will definitely be back next time I'm on South Congress.

I disputed the charge for the defective shorts back in June, and just heard today that my dispute was upheld and my money refunded. Justice! Suck it, Jill.

I took my mom here to buy a dress for her wedding which was going to be on the beach. However, she ended up staying in the city to get married and the dress was no longer appropriate for the occasion. She returned the dress (all tags attached and with the receipt) and they would not even consider giving store credit. To make matters worse, the manager was completely rude and did not even consider to return the dress for store credit when it was returned less than 3 weeks later. No solution was offered at all, just basically showed us to the door. The whole thing was a terrible experience.

I'm never one to leave a bad review, but if I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I purchased a $400 dress and tried to return it in its original condition, tag still attached, with a receipt, 16 days later and was denied store credit. Not only that, but I was treated terribly for questioning this decision, and basically told "tough". What kind of small business treats customers this way? Especially a relatively new one! One of my daughters is a small business owner and she was appalled. STAY AWAY from purchasing anything here.

I have never felt the need to write a yelp review, yet here I am. I was shopping on SOCO today and went to Cove for the first time - what terrible customer service! The sales associates gave me an unenthusiastic "hello" then continued their conversation, ignoring me completely. I was in the store about 5-10 minutes and saw several cute things I wanted to try on but felt SO uncomfortable and unwelcome I had to get out of there. Awesome clothes - too bad the service stinks.

Terrible customer service. I'm not one to post often but I was visiting from out of town and stopped in here. Had to wait for a fitting room for quite some time because the salespeople were not adept at managing a line so some other girls brushed past me into a room. Whatever, not a huge deal. Ultimately I had to rush out and purchased a romper quickly. When I got back to NYC, I noticed that the inseam is off by about 1/2 an inch on one side and the whole thing puckers up! A few things: 1. Having worked retail for about 5 years I would NEVER let a piece like this make it to the sales floor. I would have contacted the vendor immediately for a swap or to return the piece because of a defect. 2. I asked the salespeople what they thought and they said nothing was wrong with it! I understand making commission off sales, but I would never have sold this item to a customer. When I contacted the store about doing something to remedy the situation they said no, sales were final there was nothing they could do. They offered NO solution whatsoever and basically "tough luck." Again, having worked in boutiques for 5 years this is unacceptable customer service! High end boutiques should always offer a solution for the customer even if it's a store credit (that I would use and would probably spend more with, honestly). Jill, the store manager, you should be ashamed of yourself for treating customers like this and not having more integrity in the products you sell.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I walked out with earrings and opened the bag and they were broken. Very cheap for 55$ dollars and no return possible. When I went in to ask what could be done they said well we can ask manager who is out of the country and the brand who made it, but no return exchange or money back. Horrible customer service. Not going back

Some of the worst customer service I've ever received. Do not bother spending your money here. After picking out several pricy items to try on, I overheard the staff saying some unpleasant things about me and another customer in the store. It baffles me to know how these people think of those who patronize their store. I happily walked out having not spent one dime. And to think, I planned on shelling out a couple hundred bucks. Money well saved.

I LOVE shopping at Cove! The owner (Rebecca) + her team are so wonderful and they always have the best selection. I'm a local Austin lady and Cove is my go-to spot for easy + elevated looks. A lot of the lines that they carry are unique to Austin and they always have the best shoes - my favorite temptation. They also carry local jewelry + apothecary/home items. Cove is a must-visit, whether you're an Austinite or just passing through!

Cove is my favorite boutique in town! I always have a great experience shopping there. The staff knows my style and they offer assistance without being pushy. Highly recommend!

LOVE this boutique! Beautiful clothes, amazing bathing suits & jewelry. They carry brands that I don't see in other boutiques in town. Every time I've been in there to shop, the staff is super helpful and they are always willing to give me ideas for outfits that would work for me. I will definitely be coming back a lot. Definitely check it out!

I absolutely LOVE the selection here and am willing to return because they have beautiful items but some of the sales staff are incredibly rude. When you carry such expensive items, it's only fair that I be able to try on multiple items and sizes before committing to a $275 pair of jeans. Don't act like it's such a hardship to ring up my purchase. I could not believe how cold and unfriendly the woman was who swiped my card during their anniversary sale. It would not kill you to remove the scowl from your face when dealing with a (returning) customer.
