Google
Food was great!! We got scrambled eggs and then split the Blueberry Waffle…which I highly recommend. That was the winner, it was so delicious. The restaurant is small so if you want a guaranteed seat, you should go right when it opens. But we went around 8am and waited about 10 minutes. Worth the wait for that waffle!

Google
First timers here but we were told this was a great spot from friends that always stay in Ogunquit. We got to the café around 11 and it was packed! We put our name in and they told us about a 35 minute wait. I always hesitate to wait that long when I am trying a place for the first time and I have two Hangry kids with me, but holy smokes this place was worth the wait! Delicious food like the crab cakes and lobster benedict didn't last long once it was put in front of me. The rest of the family had similar results after ordering the waffles and french toast! We all loved our meals, and agree it was worth the wait. Definitely recommend checking this little place out! As you can see from the pictures, everyone dove into their food before I could get the full picture!

Google
Probably the best breakfast experience you will ever have in a breakfast restaurant. We felt at home, just like spending the morning with distant, but hospitable family. The food was great too. Make sure to try it at least once if you are in the vicinity

Google
Cove Cafe has a comfortable, charming, quaint and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing unrushed breakfast near the ocean/Marginal Way. My husband said the blueberry French toast was the best French toast he’s ever had.

Google
This place is adorable. Get the cranberry sour dough bread. The crab cake breakfast was very good. The dining room is quaint and very clean, attractive. Very friendly service. Only issue is it’s a tad expensive for breakfast, but that’s Perkins Cove.

Google
Stopped here for breakfast but there was a 50 minute wait so opted to get take out. Tried the crab cake breakfast sandwich which was very good. Also tried a nitro ice coffee but I personally was not a fan of it. The service was very accommodating. I would definitely go back another time

Google
Fantastic breakfast place. The portions were big and the food is delicious. It fills up pretty quick, so get there early (was approx. 30 minute wait at 8AM).

Google
This is one of my favorite breakfast places in Ogunquit. We’ve been going here for many years. The food is always so good, and the place is super cute. Friendly staff!

Yelp
Thursday June 19th, 2025 Coffee and whole wheat French toast topped with bananas. Fresh fruit cup. Grilled Blueberry Muffin and scrambled eggs with iced tea.

Yelp
DO NOT GO!!! We used to be a big fan but never again food was absolute disgusting. Everything tasted old, like it was in the cellar

Yelp
Driving back from Phippsburg, I wanted one last stop in Maine before I ended my solo long weekend trip. Ogunquit won the coin toss. Luckily there was no way at 7:30 on a Sunday morning. Sat right down and ordered a sausage cheese, tomato, spinach, and onion omelette. It came with toast and home fries. The omelette ingredients were so fresh and I ate every single bite that was on my plate. Parking is down near the Cove and drawbridge and it was six dollars an hour to park. There are two dedicated parking spots for the restaurant, but those are extremely hard to come by as you can imagine. Great town great family owned restaurant delicious food. It was the perfect way to end my solo long weekend.

Yelp
The service was terrible, we asked for a table of 5 seats and the hostess gave us three different times a 10 min wait, a 30 min wait or it could take as long other people eat. She seemed as if she was trying to convince us to not eat there while she sat 2 tables of four as we waited. No consideration of moving an extra chair from a half used table to one of the open tables of four. We waited the full 30 mins for her just to tell us probably another 15 or more. She was very non-welcoming from first introduction. We visit the cove every year and will never spend a dime based on their lack of accommodation and their prejudice to anyone with more than 4 people. If you have kids, good luck.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite breakfast in Ogunquit. If you're here during the season ( they close by Columbus Day), you MUST get up early and try this place. In fact, I came here twice during a 5 day stay. Pro tip: get here early. They open at 7am and close by 11:30. No call aheads, no reservations. Check their Facebook page for latest hours. Prepare to wait for large parties. The Lobstah Benny is the most delicious item.

Yelp
Our family walked to the Cove Café for breakfast this morning. It was great! We had delicious French toast with cream cheese and blueberry sauce. We also had a really good crabcake Benedict with spicy seasonings. The omelette was nice, and the grilled blueberry muffin was excellent. Great service, a small café with a moderate wait. We had a good time.

Yelp
Perfect place when you're in Maine have a great breakfast. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The food is always perfect. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
For years my husband and I have loved this place when we visited many times a year. We now live in the area and went to Cove Cafe a few weeks ago. We were completely astounded with the increase of their prices! My husband ordered a frittata that came out greasy & thin. Price - $19!! We didn't bother to look at prices because it's always been pretty reasonable. Sadly we won't be going back. Plenty of breakfast places that serve good breakfasts for less money. Anchorage by the Sea for example. And it comes with a gorgeous view!

Yelp
Very nice little place. This breakfast restaurant was all the rave in the area, so we had to have our last breakfast here before heading home. The breakfast was good....egg white omelet, Belgian waffle, sausage, cheese omelet with home fries was average....$61 w/tip. Nature of the beast these days. I hate and normally don't wait in any line for food, especially breakfast, but others insisted, so we stood in the parking lot in the sun for 20 minutes after having to PAY for parking a couple blocks away. Was it worth all that? nahhhh. You can get a breakfast like this just about anywhere, but it was still good.

Yelp
I love this cozy cafe. The food is excellent. The owners are long time friends that I love so much.

Yelp
Excellent place, food was fantastic. Definitely going back when we are back in that area

Yelp
We are staying near Perkins cove and found this breakfast spot on our morning walk. We both loved our breakfast. The service is great and friendly. This is a family run business which is always nice to find. It is a small place with a counter and limited seating. One morning we had to wait, but no more than 10 minutes or so. Overall, a great place for a good breakfast with friendly people. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Excellent cafe with friendly service. Great coffee and excellent food served efficiently.

Yelp
Over medium eggs were cooked perfectly. Toast was fine. Muffin was delicious. Drip Coffee is bottomless. Staff is friendly. Busy early with lots of families

Yelp
Absolutely delicious breakfast. My son said the blueberry French toast was the best breakfast of his entire life. Restaurant is adorable. Service is great, and the prices were reasonable.

Yelp
This place is the cutest breakfast spot! The staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating. We ordered the lobster omlette and the blueberry French toast. Both were delicious! A lot of lobster in the omlette too. My parents came a few weeks ago and also said the staff are very nice and the food was great so that seems to be the standard here. Will definitely be back

Yelp
Tiny restaurant with great food, good menu, delicious food and wonderful staff. Couldn't ask for more! Just a short walk to everything in PC

Yelp
We ate here for breakfast a few times during our visit to Maine Everything we tried was top notch Fresh and flavorful I do think my favorite was the waffle with the blueberries and homemade whip cream Highly recommend you start you day here

Yelp
Parking in Perkins Cove is absolutely horrific and we ended up paying $20 for the lot up the street from the cafe at 11:40am on Friday since the lower cheaper lot was full. I didn't realize the restaurant closed at noon, but they still seated us! They have about 6 tables inside and a few more outside. I suspect there's often a decent wait in the morning, but since we showed up so late, there wasn't any line. We got the Blueberry French Toast, the daily special Belgian Waffle with strawberries and blueberries, and the Crab Cakes and Eggs. Everything was delicious, especially the French toast!! The service was quick and friendly and we left around 12:15pm.

Yelp
A cute and cozy cafe located near a beautiful beach view. I was hesitant coming in because the place was insanely packed (and small as well), and I was told there was a wait to be seated. Unexpectedly, we were seated quite quickly and food was served within 15 minutes. The meal was delicious - beautifully plated, fresh, nutritious, and flavorful. Nothing was too pricey - pretty much everything is under $15, at least by the menu I read. My only complaint is that on a busy day, parking is a pain because the lot is very small and when filled up, the only other choice is paid parking. The restaurant is also quite noisy.

Yelp
My wife and I visited on a very busy Thursday morning and had to wait approximately 20-25 minutes but it was worth it. It's a nice, quaint café located a short walk from Perkins Cove. My wife and I sat at the counter and enjoyed watching how friendly the staff were to each other. My wife ordered 2 scrambled eggs, a fruit cup, and a blueberry muffin. I ordered the French toast with strawberries and a side of sausage. We each had coffee as well. My wife liked her eggs mentioned and the muffins were fresh and served warm. The fruit cup was fresh and a nice portion. My French toast consisted of 4 slices topped with plenty of strawberries. The sausage consisted of 3 links. Tasty. As coffee snobs, we would say the coffee was good. The prices were competitive for the area. The service was very good and friendly. There was a public parking lot located close but based upon the price $25, you better be making a day of it at Perkins Cove or downtown Ogunquit.

Yelp
According to reviews, Cove Café is the top-rated breakfast spot on the southern tip of Ogunquit. That's a pretty high honor I think for a breakfast joint not far from fishing boats and Perkins Cove. Upon arrival, host will ask for your phone number for contact tracing purposes. Luckily, weather was gorgeous on our first visit, there wasn't a wait and we sat outdoors (no inside dining). They're known for many things- but their one signature Blueberry-topped French Toast, hubs was all over it. The French Toast itself is light and easily inhaled- but the Mascarpone and blueberry compote? That's what made the entire dish come together! My Lobster omelette wasn't just sprinkled with teeny-weeny lobster pieces- that sucker packed a serious punch with lobster chunks and at $15.99- that was outstanding! So much so, we had breakfast here a second time. Service was great from the guys and gals. Compared to other breakfast eateries in Ogunquit's midway point, Cove Café is away from all that hustle and bustle. We fueled up nicely. But listen...don't take my word for it- try it for yourself!

Yelp
Amazing service and food!!! I felt like I was in a quant New England town. Loved it!!!

Yelp
Had a yummy breakfast here! The French toast and eggs Benedict were delicious! Everything came out super fast and hot! Mel was our waitress and she was so nice and made us feel so welcome! Will be back here next time we are in town!

Sibéal D.

Yelp
Great breakfast and friendly, courteous staff. Cozy place and great service. Perkins Cove - park in the lot down the road.

Stephen N.

Yelp
Excellent food and excellent service!! Our server was very attentive and handled our requests very quickly. I would definitely recommend this place, at least for breakfast as that is what we had.
google avatar

Cheryl W.

Yelp
Sat at the bar for breakfast. Excellent food and service. The special #1 eggs benedict with homemade corned beef hash was simply amazing. Perfect start to the day!
google avatar

Marie A.

Yelp
Literally breakfast perfection. Everything was perfect. If you like the sound of the blueberry French toast get it, it's amazing, otherwise, they know how to make eggs too! Friendly, adorable, and if you get there early no wait. In October anyway! Then go walk the Marginal Path for a perfect morning.

Yelp
Without even eating this could have been one of my breakfast experiences ever. Drove from the other part of town only to see an opening in one of the two front spots. Walked in to a cute New England costal vibe and Tennessee whiskey playing on the "radio" (engage full movie in my head experience). The knotty pine paneling and straight backed chairs complete the vision The blueberry muffin is perfect, soft and airy. CRAB CAKES AND EGGS?!?!?? Is that even legal. YES YES it is and delicious . Every thing you want at breakfast at the beach. This place is the whole . If you are in Ogunquit and don't come here at least once before you die, you will have live a shadow life. Don't let that happen to you
google avatar

LeftSox W.

Yelp
Was decent. Had the hash special which was good, in comparison to Maine Diner. Just wasn't much there. The potatoes were pretty bland to me, but the wife seemed to be good with them. Smaller pieces, cooked longer - crisped up would be a lot better. Just me - I'm sure plenty of others like them the way they are, so who cares. If you're in the area to check out Perkins Cove, then worth going in. Just wouldn't plan to make a trip just for the breakfast since there's no parking available and the food may not warrant the parking cost.
google avatar

Dave B.

Yelp
A small establishment that offers a wide variety of breakfast offerings. Everything from lobster to waffles Not extraordinary cuisine but good wholesome breakfast meals. The limited selection of where to eat in the cove makes this a top pick (;
google avatar

Niko W.

Yelp
We loved this place so much that we decided to come here multiple times for out breakfasts well staying in Maine. The freshly ground coffee is delicious and a great way to start the day. On our first stop there we were lucky enough to get the outside eating area and my wife and I enjoyed the blueberry waffles and eggs and hash. We always share our dishes and loved every bite the fresh blueberries on the waffles were divine. The hash, eggs and home fries were all seasoned and cooked perfectly and soooo delicious. On our second trip there we tried the bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich which was also on levels. If you're looking for a breakfast spot on Ogunquit look no further although I'm sure if you're in the area though everyone will recommend this place for breakfast.

Yelp
Oh. My. God. You *must* have breakfast at Cove Cafe! If you're a morning person, get over there! If you're *not* a morning person, get over it and go anyway. The staff is fantastic and the menu's even fantastic-ER. (It's a word, I swear.) The only downside is that the dining room isn't huge, so there's usually a wait unless you're really lucky. If you drive, plan on parking down in the public lot in the Cove. But really, this place is probably the best, friendliest breakfast in the area. (And if you want to challenge me, I will fight you for Cove Cafe' s honor the next time I'm in Ogunquit.) Buy a mug to take home, too!
google avatar

Seth W.

Yelp
Expect a long line, but it's well worth the wait. I was lucky enough to score an hourly parking ($4 per hour, 3 hour max) spot down at Perkins Cove, but most diners were overheard about the day parking prices ($20-25). We waited about 30 minutes (exactly as they told us) before being seated on the "back porch" - it was a perfect location, totally in the shade, 4 counter seats for the four of us on the screened in back porch. The Belgian Waffles were so light and airy, and when covered with the side of pure VT maple syrup ($2.25 for the shot glass serving, you don't get to keep the glass btw) were perfect. The ham and cheese omelet was equally as good. A very light fluffy omelet, the ham was full of flavor, nothing to complain about with this meal!
google avatar

Yelp
My all time favorite breakfast is Eggs Benedict so when I see it on a breakfast menu, it's usually what I order. If you're going to offer eggs, Benedict then you need to know how to properly poach an egg since a runny yolk is crucial to the success of eggs Benedict. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff of the Cove Cafe have not mastered this technique. The poached eggs were slightly overcooked, which meant half of the yolk was runny and half was cooked. This is sacrilege for this dish! If the egg is not perfectly poached, the dish is a failure. When I asked for hot sauce, I got a single take out package of it. The accompanying home fries were unexceptional but I find that to be standard at most breakfast joints. Service was prompt and professional. The place is small with a diner like feel to it. Also, keep in mind that yelp says private lot parking......but that consists of 2 parking spots so get there at opening if you want one of them! Not recommended....especially if you want eggs Benedict!
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I found this place one morning looking for some breakfast, and really enjoyed our meal. It has now become our go-to breakfast spot. It's a great location, and a great excuse to walk along marginal way. The staff are friendly, and have a good balance between being friendly and keeping the tables cycling through on busy days. With that being said, I don't think we have ever felt rushed! The food is delicious, omelettes are fluffy, bacon is crispy, sausages are good. For those who like a sweet treat the waffles and pancakes are also delicious. Finally, the breakfast sandwiches are pretty delicious also. This place does a great job with breakfast and we will happily wait for a table anytime we visit the area!
google avatar

Bob A.

Yelp
Small but good food at reasonable prices. I did takeout breakfast sandwiches and they were great. Food came out fast although it wasn't packed this morning like it is during prime season.
google avatar

Taryn L.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for breakfast before doing a little shopping in the cove. We were a group of 6 and it's first come first serve there so we did wait a little bit. But they were able to sit our whole group together and the staff was very friendly. My friends enjoyed their breakfasts and coffee. I have celiac and need to eat gluten free so I kept it simple with eggs and sausage and no toast. They do offer really delicious looking breakfast here but the ricotta pancakes and those kind of things aren't gluten free. The food came out so fast and it was amazing. We really enjoyed it here.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service and a nice menu. Breakfast was good. Cute little dining area. We enjoyed it. The waitresses were so friendly.

Yelp
Definitely a must! It was worth the wait!!! My fiancé and I absolutely loved this place, food was AMAZING. We are from out of state and wish there was a place like this near our home. Will definitely be back!!

Yelp
Breakfast was perfect. Service was great. A very nice spot in the cove for a hearty start to your day.
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
Was very impressed with the food at this small spot as you enter the Perkins cove area. The lobster omelette was packed with flavorful lobster. All other dishes ordered got rave reviews from the people I was with. A few notes: no parking and it's $15-$20 to park in a lot. No indoor dining as of late August. There will probably be a wait for a table at peak times.
google avatar

Meredith B.

Yelp
Food was absolutely delicious and service was great! We had breakfast there twice while in coastal Maine. The crab cake Benedict as well as the lobster Benedict was superb.

Jrod S.

Yelp
Went here for breakfast and I ordered a bacon egg (over medium) and cheese on a bagel. The waitress told me there's no way the cook will make my egg over medium on a breakfast sandwich. So, he made the egg and put it next to the bagel. I just can't believe scrambled was my only choice, or I had to assemble the sandwich if I wanted over medium which was what I did. I won't ever return to this place.
google avatar

Benjamin K.

Yelp
This place is very good, and a top-notch breakfast place. That said, I'm not sure it deserves the hype that it gets on Yelp. The food is good, the servers are nice and the place is clean. That said, there's nothing extraordinary. The menu isn't terribly expansive/diverse, and much of the food isn't special. For instance, the molasses oat bread tastes like whole wheat and the potatoes aren't great. This isn't a knock. I just don't see any reason to make it a 5 star place like many many have. Still, a very good place and one I'd definitely recommend and come back to.
google avatar

Kelsey P.

Yelp
Great little place for breakfast. Small menu but packed with flavor. Highly recommend the crab cake sandwich (skip the cheese for full crab flavor). The blueberry pancakes were delicious and the veggies used in the other sandwich were fresh! Plus it's right in the heart of Perkins Cove - so once you fuel up, you can shop it off!
google avatar

Aimee O.

Yelp
Amazing. Crab cake Benedict was phenomenal!! I didn't even get a chance to take a picture.
