This is a place kind in the middle of no where, where usually tourist go there. The atomsphere is really good. But, I would say food was okay. I order stuffed meat pizaa, which was good, which was kind of pricecy for me, compared to closes towns pizza prices. Overall, considering the covienence, it was okay for a tourist to fill with food to continue to next adventures.

We picked up food before heading out for a camping night — and wow, it was the perfect dinner in the middle of nowhere! 1. Tree Hugger Pizza — olive oil and herb crust, tomatoes, mozzarella and fresh basil. Every bite was bursting with flavor — yummmmmm doesn’t even cover it! 🌿🔥 2. Basket of Tots — crispy, golden and just perfect.🥔✨ Packed perfectly, stayed fresh and made our outdoor dinner feel extra special. Highly recommend grabbing from here if you’re heading out or just want fresh, feel-good comfort food!

Cove Point Crossings is a good spot for a casual lunch if you’re exploring Minnesota’s North Shore. It was definitely a better experience than what we had in Duluth, especially compared to Grandma’s. The menu has a nice variety that worked well for both adults and kids. We ordered the turkey focaccia, cheeseburger, wrap, Cobb salad, and a kids cheese pizza. The focaccia was fresh and flavorful, and the Cobb salad was huge—definitely big enough to share. The kids cheese pizza was larger than we expected, and everything came out hot and well-prepared. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The woman who helped us was especially kind and offered lots of great tips for things to do in the area, which we really appreciated. That said, it did feel pricey for what it was. Lunch for seven people came out to $178, with most entrees around $18 each. While the food was good and the portions generous, the price felt a bit high for a casual spot like this. Still, if you’re looking for a reliable place with solid food and great service, Cove Point Crossings is worth a visit.

Google
We had a delicious meat eaters pizza - flavorful sauce and heavy on cheese. The view of Lake Superior is stunning and the service was attentive. Great place to stop for a meal and relax.

Google
Very friendly waitress, not very busy on a Monday for lunch. I had turkey foccacia sandwich and it was good! Fresh veggies and excellent size. My husband had pizza which he enjoyed. He said the restaurant was exactly what he wanted.

Google
We ended up here because a more popular place had a long wait and I'm sure glad we did because it was amazing food! We'll definitely be back. Try the tatchos!

Google
We ordered some apps for takeout since we were staying within walking distance. The portion sizes of the appetizers are very generous, and easy to share. The French fries looked fresh cut, but were soggy. After a day hiking we were ravenous so we still ate them quickly.

Google
Great atmosphere! Service was good but the food was somewhat cold and the pizza was nothing special at all. The crust had no flavor to it, just doughy in texture. We came out of connivence and not a lot of food options. Expensive for what you get.

Yelp
With not many options in the area, we stopped at Cove Point Crossing with pretty low expectations. However, I was pleasantly surprised but how much I liked this little bar and grill. It is small, not many tables but wasn't terribly busy on a Thursday at lunch. It has a north woods feel with a cute mural covering one wall. We started with totchos which were fine and a local tap beer. My husband got the wings, they were crispy and tasty, he was pleasantly surprised. There were only six wings in the order so the price at $16 was rather steep but expected being on the north shore. I ordered the turkey focaccia sandwich. It was so good! The bread was fresh and crispy and the turkey was thick cut turkey slabs with fresh sprouts and aioli. It was a big sandwich but I ate it all because it was wonderful. I upgraded to onion rings, they were average.

Yelp
The burgers were very good and the portions were great so the food was up to par. The service was good, the prices are a little bit higher than expected, but other than that it was great.

Yelp
Slow service and okay food. We were looking for a place open for dinner and decided to give this place a shot. Right off the bat, it took a good five minutes to be seated even though there was a couple of folks in the restaurant. Once we were seated we order drinks, and our server brought my husband his but forgot about my drink. It took her until we received our meal for my drink to arrive. My husband ordered the Classic Cheese Burger and I tried the Cobb Salad. My husband said the burger wasn't anything to write home about. I was impressed with the quantity and quality of my salad; however, a few bites in I found a long, grey hair in my salad. I sent it back but it took them longer to make me a new one than the original, so I had it to-go. We were far from impressed and left disappointed.

Yelp
Good food. Nothing fancy. Nice atmosphere. Not a lot of options in Beaver Bay during winter.

Yelp
Good pizza. Lots of toppings. Pretty expensive, but there are very few other options in the area. Good spot if your on the north shore

Yelp
We were seated and waited on for our drinks quickly. Gave us time to look at menu, salads were spectacular! Very clean busy place! Will definitely return

Yelp
Got breakfast here twice. Classic breakfast was the best I've had, nice big portions and everything nice and crispy. Got a pizza for one night and it was alright.

Yelp
Stopped for a late lunch with our group of 8. Sat outside with our doggos in the scenic patio area. We tried two of the pizzas, chicken bacon wrap, turkey focaccia and the club sandwich. Everything was delicious. Our server Jamin was great!! Fantastic service. Highly recommend

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch while we were out for the day, no expectations. We ended up with a generous amount of buffalo wings, off menu quesadillas, and French fries that rivaled state fair French fries! Great service, decent prices, all around fantastic experience. Highly recommend. I would have taken a picture of the food but there's nothing left :)

Yelp
After a long morning of hiking around we swung in here for lunch. Immediate thoughts: Super cute inside! Love the murals and big chalkboard! Plus, they have a great big window that looks over the lake! Service was friendly but maybe a bit slow. Food was so good -- I got the Philly and it was really great, but maybe a bit over priced. Beer was ice cold and delicious! My only real issue is the bathroom(s). The one I used was not child friendly AT ALL. I ended up having to lay down paper towels because the floor was sticky and gross then laid down my son's changing mat to then had to squat and change him on the floor..it was not ideal. We would come back here though and maybe sit on their cute little patio.

Yelp
I'm not sure the burger fully makes up for the rest. As one of two restaurants open til 8pm in Beaver Bay, the ordering process needs some attention. Phone calls dont go through due to how busy they are. The website doesn't have alcohol listed to order, even to be consumed onsite. They dont want customers inside (understandably) so I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get in touch with someone inside. That said, the takeaway service (and alcohol purchased elsewhere) went smooth enough. We ordered some Poutine Burgers, fries, and tots. Omg so much food! Well worth the $11 and then some! The burger is phenomenal. Salty gravy, crunchy/chewy cheese curds and fries. I do think there could be more jalapeno in the cheese curds as the flavor didnt stand out in the mix. The fries looked delicious but didnt have the texture desired as they were a bit mushy. The tots were great, but I couldn't finish them as there was so much. I look forward to visiting again, but only if the ordering process is improved.

Yelp
Great service, beer selection and good pizza, not great, but good. Had an order of tacos which were pretty good, but expensive for the small portion. We own a cabin at Cove Point and will be back next month and give it another try.

Yelp
Asked for 1 million beers and the waitress said no and now I'm typing this to fill in the 85 characters I need to post this

Yelp
Waited patiently to be greeted or get table service. Grabbed a menu, they only have pizza, no burgers. One table had craft beers, another a pizza. Left after 20 minutes to go elsewhere.
google avatar

Jane W.

Yelp
Solid burger and pizza place on the North Shore. Hands down the best onion rings served in Northern Minnesota. If you think you can split a large pizza between two people here, think again. We had plenty for left overs. The burgers sizes are nothing to sneeze at either and come with a generous side of fries or onion rings or cheese curds. This ain't your run of the mill diner or fast food joint! Tldr: The folks here are friendly, the food is good, the portions are generous. Best onion rings.

Yelp
After several years of staffing challenges due to Covid and just being in a small town with a limited workforce to draw from, they seem to have hit their stride again. The environment is fun and casual. There is a jukebox, crane games, and several TV's usually broadcasting some kind of sporting event. The current menu is good and the service is too. Always a decent offering of draft beer as well as bottles, cans, and most of the basic liquor offerings. They have recently redone their floors and brought in booths that really change the vibe for the better. I am happy to see this place getting its groove back, it really is a nice place to grab a bite or a drink.

Yelp
Restaurant inside closed due to covid. Call or place food orders online. We stopped bc the view looked great and pizza/burgers sounded good. Our order took about 20 min for 7 people. I got the pizza. My review is based off that. Others in the group got burgers and really liked them. They were really big and juicy and come with lots of fries/tots. I got the 16 inch tree hugger pizza (similar to a margarita). The pizza was not that great in my opinion. It reminded me of a pizza delivery type pizza. The cheese was really thick and spongy. The crust was okay, it was medium thickness and soft with a slight crunch. The overall flavor was a bit bland. They have several picnic tables outside to enjoy view. We did enjoy eating outside with all the wild flowers and the lake views. If I ever came back I would try a burger and would not get the pizza again!

Yelp
Great spot for lunch after hiking one of the state parks. We Stopped by for a quick bite and a beer. The patio has a great view of the lake as well. Deff go with the tater tots as your side! The patio is dog friendly!

Yelp
3.5 stars probably, but being nice since they seem short staffed. Call or order online. Good luck with them answering, I bet I called 15 times(there's one person inside, maybe two). Order online if you want to eat! Easy ordering online, although only drink selections I saw were beer. We ordered 3 BLTs with tots to make it easy and a 10" sausage pizza. Order confirmed, 20mins. Got a call just before that and a guy brought the food out to us. We got all our food, tons of napkins, plates and forks. BLTs were tasty and so were the tots. Pizza was meh. No beer that we ordered. If your order is right, no big deal, but if you're missing something it's a pain because they don't answer the phone. There's a side window he finally came to and then brought me the beer. Also put some sodas on the window sill so apparently they sell other drinks, but they're not on their website. It was worth stopping because I was hangry and I was super pleased their time was correct for food being ready, but dang they need some help inside for calls, cleaning tables and bringing out food. I didn't see anything being cleaned outside on the handful of tables and the trash was overflowing and one gust took the lid off and garbage started flying.

Yelp
Cozy, casual atmosphere with quick service. The pizza we ordered wasn't our favorite, but it worked in a pinch!

Kevin B.

Yelp
We had a couple pizzas and a couple Caesar salads. The salads were drenched in dressing, which was extremely salty and had a faint taste of bacon. The service was friendly but slow. We ended up walking up to the counter to check out after waiting for a while. The interior was nice, but fairly small. Maybe a total of 10 tables along with a bar. The menu given did not match their website, specifically no burgers offered.
google avatar

Yelp
Well, when expectations are already low they say you can't miss it. But here it goes, this places is at bottom of the sea quality. Tried their pizza and it was really bad. Soggy and bad execution. It should be a crime to make soggy pizza and this place needs to be on the top of the list if they decide to make it a law. Until then stay away. Your money is better off staying in your wallet.

Raquel D.

Yelp
Total lack of flavor to the food and service was mediocre, despite an ample staff. We tried to order burgers, but were told the flat grill was broken so they could only do plain cheeseburgers. (Not sure why a broken griddle meant no other toppings, but, okay.) The only other options were pizzas or apps, so we ordered totchos and boneless wings. The wait was long (30+ minutes) and there were several people standing behind the bar not doing anything. Still, drinks did not get refilled and silverware was not brought over until after the food was done. (One of the servers was frequently staring off into space...) Somehow the totchos had no flavor ... like not even that salty deep fried flavor that a microwaved bag of Walmart tots would have. The sour cream was watered down, as was the cheese sauce, so it also had very little flavor. Just some flavorless wetness on top of flavorless tots. The boneless wings were SO over cooked. Also no flavor. And no, we didn't both have covid because we tasted all our other food just fine throughout our trip! ;)

Yelp
I was quite excited for my brothers and I to stop here while traveling up the north shore, but was sadly disappointed. We waited 35 minutes to receive our food after seating ourselves because no one seemed to notice we were waiting. Gave them the benefit of the doubt however because it was relatively busy for the short staff but one I got my BLT and tots I was pretty disgusted. So much grease to the point there was a pool of it on our table. On top of that a $13 burger with next to no flavor and a sandwich with a burnt to a crisp bottom bun. 10/10 would actively avoid.

Richard S.

Yelp
The fries and beers were good. I had a meat lovers pizza that was ok but not enough sauce, so the ratio was not right. My wife had the Philly. She likes her meat much more done than I and even she said it was dry. I'm sure I would have sent it back. The waitress did knock off 10% so she did what was right. We don't go here much because the food is inconsistent. Too bad with all the tourist traffic that comes through we have so few options, and no place locally I would call consistently good since Camp 61 closed.

Yelp
Pizza and boneless wings were awesome. Great pizza crust. Had the Tree Hugger and it was delicious! We also did a build your own and it was just as tasty. The boneless chicken wings with BBQ sauce were excellent and I am definitely not a wing person. They were crispy, not soggy. Just the right amount of sauce. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will be back!!!
google avatar

Larry B.

Yelp
We go to order of Pizza and wings. We were helped threw the menu and got wings also. The good was prepare fast. This place makes the best pizza and the wings were good also. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, we cannot wait till we get pizza here again. I highly recommend this place

Jillena F.

Yelp
Amazing food, pizza, wings and beer....plus outstanding customer service! We are 4 adults and 4 young children and we ALL had a great, delicious experience! Thank you for the awesome food memories!

Teddy G.

Yelp
Very expensive for the food $17 for 8 undercooked bone in wings, & $9 for fries. Done really tend to the diners don't recommend!
google avatar

Stacy P.

Yelp
We were happy to find a restaurant open past 8pm and really happy with our food and service. Being the only place open after 8 they got very busy and with one waitress we were a little worried but she was excellent. She never once made us feel rushed. She was pleasant and on top of things. Food wise we got the Totchos, Pountine Burger, The Yeti pizza and the kids both got kids corn dog meals. The kids portions were huge with 11 mini corn dogs a piece! The burger was amazing! So much flavor! Same goes for the pizza! Well worth the stop!
google avatar

Yelp
I don't know who gave this place the right to make food so good. My boyfriend and I split the avocado BLT and Philly cheesesteak, on special. I loved the avocado BLT but was absolutely floored by the Philly cheesesteak. My boyfriend carried me out because I saw the light of God.

Yelp
First time to stop here. Stopped because of Yelp postings. Great spot. Really unique sandwiches & pizza options. Good service. Some unique beers on tap. Great views of Lake Superior. I recommend the "Loggers Plank" sandwich, featuring a really good blend of beef, bacon, Canadian bacon & sauce flavors. I'll be back.
google avatar

Pat A.

Yelp
Great pizza! We loved the "Yeti" and the crust was especially good. A little pricey, but not bad.
google avatar

Nicole K.

Yelp
Just a great spot to stop with the family. We had pizza and it was great. Great service. The kids loved the totchos.
google avatar

Thomas M.

Yelp
After a long day on the superior hiking trail this was a welcomed dinner. Smaller menu than expected but the food was amazing. Could've been because meal consisted of package noodles for the last two days. Either way the wall I was fabulous as was the macaroni and cheese with beef brisket!
google avatar

Jayson P.

Yelp
Extremely expensive! Look around before you stop in Pizza is awful Service was good, considering the large crowd.

Uday S.

Yelp
Great place to stop for food, snacks and a fantastic view. To top all of that, the staff there are super friendly and offered a free beer for my birthday :)

Caitlin M.

Yelp
Some of the worst service I've ever received. Got a couple pizzas that came out with raw dough. Sent them back only to come out cooked THE SAME. Barely even received an apology and a small discount. Maybe the other food is ok but DO NOT order pizzas, and don't expect great/friendly service.
google avatar

Mary S.

Yelp
We wanted a pizza and the waitress suggested the chicken and bacon pizza. It was delicious! We're hoping next time we come, there will be a deck seating option on the lake side! Wait staff was very friendly and the food was fresh. Love the fish mural on the wall! Hope that stays when you re-model!
google avatar

Amy P.

Yelp
Started out well then went downhill... waitress let us know a bus was coming in shortly so wr decided to order quickly to beat the rush. What she left out was that they pre-ordered so we would have to wait for them to get there and get their food before ours came out. Was told they were out if fish and kettle chips. Because they were out of chips we had to pay the upcharge for fries or tots or onion rings. Food came out cold. Waitress was rude when we asked for it to be warmed up. Then was defensive and slightly confrontational. Had the service been better would have given 4 stars.

Carrie P.

Yelp
A friend and I were hiking on the North Shore recently and were out till about 7:30 PM. We ended up at Cove Point basically because they were the only restaurant in the area open past 8:00, but we ended up being happy with our choice. We had pizza and shrimp and tots and were both happy with our food. There was only 1 server for the entire place and because of their hours they were busy, which meant our service was pretty slow. We weren't in a hurry so it wasn't a big deal, except that the restaurant was very cold and both of us were freezing despite having jackets on. Nice little place on the North Shore!
google avatar

Opal 2.

Yelp
My mom works at Crossings and I'm gonna tell the truth I love the Wild Rice Soup! The pizza is ok and I love the fish and chips also. Service is great (considering my mom usually servers alone) and the cleanliness is good.
google avatar

Ron P.

Yelp
Another trip to the North Shore. Stayed at Cove Point Lodge and ate a couple times here. Great Happy Hour deals on food and appetizers ! Try the smoked fish on naan bread, yum ! I just love the Chicken Philly sandwich and the Cole slaw. Delicious !

Mark G.

Yelp
Pizza was better than expected, decent beer selection. We got the margherita pizza and the pepperoni. The staff was very friendly. Not a bad place to eat.

Chris C.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious pizza. The thin crust was spectacular and much more unique than expected. Had the boneless wings with Thai chili sauce as well and would say they are as good or better than your favorite chain restaurant for a fraction of the price. Good value and great food.
google avatar

Barb J.

Yelp
We stopped here on July 4th when we were driving along the North Shore. It wasn't very busy inside. Outside the seats were mostly taken. We placed our orders - which two were the fish and chips (we were told they were cod, which was ok) and boneless buffalo wings. We waited and waited and waited some more. It took over 40 minutes for our food to arrive. When it did, there was no ranch for the wings, no tartar sauce for the fish, and no silverware to be found. I picked up my "fish" which appeared to be a fish-stick. It was ice cold with a pile of nasty grease under it. The wings were barely warm. The fries were actually hot, but limp and greasy. The server seemed to not want to return to our table for anything. I had to go up to the counter to voice my concerns. I have to give them credit for taking the food off of our bill, but it would have been better to keep us informed, let us know what was happening in the kitchen if there was an issue... Guaranteed I will not visit this establishment again.

Yelp
We were staying at the lodge & thought we would check it out. What a disappointment. We went around 730 pm Friday night & hardly anyone was there. We ordered burgers & Totchos (tater tot nachos). The burgers were awful as they were clearly frozen preformed patties that tasted old. The totchos were also a disappointment, not very flavorful and falling apart making them kind of difficult to eat. The service was minimal considering by the time we got our food there were only 3 other customers. We were pretty much left alone. We ordered a pizza to go as someone on this site said it was some of the best on the shore. It tasted flavorless like a frozen pizza. The bill came to $60 w/tip. Very overpriced for the poor quality. Just making hamburgers from scratch would be a major improvement. Felt like they didn't want to try to provide a good experience as there aren't a ton of restaurants nearby so why bother as the tourists will come anyway. We will not go back.

David L.

Yelp
If you're looking for a thin crust pizza, you should consider a stop. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was impressed. The decor was nice and the restaurant was clean. It's a nice place for casual dining.

Pamela E.

Yelp
Casual food (burgers, pizzas, wings, various other sandwiches, beer, wine, full bar). Very tasty and the restaurant is easy to get to (it is right on Hmy 61 on the south edge of Beaver bay).
