COVER 2

Cover 2 is a great restaurant to stop in for a great dining experience if you're in or around Cedar Park. The wait staff is attentive, courteous and professional. There was little to no wait to get seated at dinner peak time. The food and dessert was amazing. You couldn't get a bigger sized serving anywhere else. There is more than enough parking and it's safe and well lit.

Came here for a lunch with my sisters before going to see Barbie. Our server was absolutely fantastic and I wish I remembered his name, I do remember he mentioned he used to be a cook in the back. Good service like that is real hard to find so we were thrilled. Our food was top notch and our drinks were DELICIOUS, even the mocktail. Atmosphere is honestly super boring and plain, but I'll come back for good food and service!

Cover 2 is a solid place. Nothing spectacular but nothing to shake a stick at. The restaurant was clean and spacious. Lots of TVs playing a variety of sports shows. The staff was very friendly. What knocked a star off was that even though the waiter asked if we wanted bleu cheese on our dish he did miss some people. In case you’re wondering, bleu cheese is gross and people only eat it because they think it’s fancy. It’s not. It’s moldy cheese. That’s what you’re eating. But you’re coming here for the food, so let’s get to it. I’ll go with the best and work our way down. We started off with fried pickles and OMG they were dope as hell! Super hot. Crispy. Salty. The breading had tons of flavor. Easily the best thing we had. Maybe I was expecting everything else to be as special which is why I was let down a bit. I got the Reuben. I gotta tell ya, before a month ago I never had a Reuben. So, I made my own. That means I made my own sauerkraut and Russian dressing. Everything else was store bought. I freaking loved it! That’s why I wanted to try a professional chef’s version of it. You know what? It wasn’t all that great. It was leaking something. The corned beef wasn’t that good and there was little of it. The sauerkraut was a bit too sour. I don’t even think I noticed any Swiss cheese on it. The rye bread was soggy. If I were hungry and needed something to fill my belly, I’d be okay with it. The fries come with Parmesan on them and you can request it taken off. They’re really thin so they got cold fast. If you’re gonna have thin fries, make them at least as thick as McDonalds. They were just slightly crunchy potato strings. As far as the other dishes, everyone seemed okay with them. Nobody was jumping with joy at what they got. Everything was cooked and was edible. If you’re in the area and want to watch sports with a group of people and you really don’t care about dining and only want to eat then this would be your place. If you’re looking for a really good food experience, there are plenty of other options in the area. Seeing as how I’m not particularly a sports fan there’s a good chance I won’t be going back. Still though, it’s food. It’s not bad. But it could be a whole lot better.

Place was dead..but was an hour before close on a Wednesday. I had the chicken fried steak and it tasted horrible..chewy. my cousin had the shrimp platter and it was Awsome. ...if I had his plate mabey a 4. 4 was due to boring atmosphere.

My husband and I always enjoy coming here! We went to have dinner and watch the Spurs and the food and service were great. Our server Logan did a great job and helped us find a seat with a great view of the game. We split the verde enchiladas, so the pics show a half portion.

Well I ordered a pepperoni flat bread and it said it comes with Sicilian sauce. But as you can see in the picture there is none. Then I asked the bartender and he said the brush it on. Either he’s not educated in food. Or wouldn’t admit he’s wrong. Sicilian Sauce is a red sauce. For your information Mr Bartender.

Cover 2 is incredible!! Food was delicious! There were plenty of TVs. Tables felt spacious and not to squished. The service was great and a friendly environment. There seemed to be plenty of parking. I definitely recommend checking it out if you have never been and you’re in the area!

We ordered their calamari, the serving is generous, the squid is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The batter is light and doesn't overwhelm the squid, making each bite deliciously balanced, it’s also topped with sauce and feta cheese, it also cones with mixed greens and cherry tomatoes with vinagraette. Also ordered their blackened Chicken and Shrimp Angel Hair Pasta, would have liked it if they put lesser sauce it was just too much and turned out like soup. It was tasty though. Overall, The food is delicious, and the service is fast and friendly.

I knew they talked about wanting to separate themselves from other sports bars when it came to their food, but I didn't fully believe it. I can 100% say that I'm a believer. I came in for the happy hour on a Tuesday and was extremely satisfied. I ordered the salsa verde pork tacos, chicken slider, and a couple beers. For under $25, you get a massive meal and a couple beers. You really can't beat it. Chicken Slider - $7: They call it a slider, but this thing can easily be considered a meal in itself. It came with a nice size piece of chicken and packed plenty of flavor Pork Taco - $7: Not only was I expecting 1 taco, but I also didn't have the highest expectations for the sports bar taco. I was flat out stunned how good this was. The meat was incredibly tender. The tortilla was the perfect thickness and cooked to perfection. The topper was that it includes two tacos, making for a nice size meal. I would come back for these alone. Along with all the food, there is a TV at every corner you look, and they even turn the volume on for the game which is always great to have.

Why on earth is this place not packed? We've gone twice. Each time, the food was perfect, delicious, excellent. The staff has been just great, helpful, friendly. The atmosphere is really good (THANK YOU FOR NOT MAKING IT TOO LOUD!!), and parking was easy. I love it, and it's going into our favorites.

This is a surprisingly good sports bar. Every item we got was delicious including the coffee. The buffalo chicken sliders had just the right touch of buffalo sauce and blue cheese. Portions were huge - one "slider" was pretty much the size of a normal burger that you might make at home. The quesadilla was unique, tasted somewhat like an omelette inside tortilla. Even the muffin tops that came free with the quesadilla were so tasty. All in all, this was a good find! Will be back to try more things.

Four of us went around 7pm, there were barely any servers but the ones that were there were on it & attentive. I do NOT recommend the margarita flatbread pizza it was so soggy and gross and gave me food poisoning pls don't get it, get the wings or the burger instead. It's a sports bar so I didn't have high expectations for the food, and I'm not picky. The "big ol brownie" was good! nice dessert to make up for how gross the pizza was.

Great location for meeting old and new friends while watching your favorite sports game! Cold beer, good food choices, cocktails and just a good, fun atmosphere! Personally, my favorite for Yankee baseball and Longhorns Football!!! Also all hockey and soccer games.

Service was horrific. Appetizer never came out and when it did it came 20 minutes after we were done eating. No apology. Oblivious. No refills. Drinks sat empty for a long time. Weird thing is our waitress came by twice and said everything good? I said can we get refills and we never got our app and she goes you didn't? Nothing on the table. How could you not get that? Terrible.

Went here for lunch on a Saturday. I had the hickory burger cooked medium and fries. The burger was cooked perfectly. Wife had migas, which she said were excellent. The third member of our party had the reuben, which he said was excellent. Our server was very competent and efficient. Fun fact: A decade ago, this was a Hooters. Before Hooters, it was a Black-Eyed Pea.

I love Cover 2, it's my favorite neighborhood sports bar. They make killer buffalo wings and giant pretzels w/ mustard and queso, and you definitely won't miss any action with the number of TVs everywhere. I always order the buffalo wings and pretzel when I'm there, they're each one of the best I've had from a bar/restaurant. A decent draft beer selection too, it's nice that they always have Thirsty Goat's Amber on tap. Yesterday they had Kona Brewing's Golden Ale on tap, one of my favorite draft beers. The burgers, nachos, and reuben are also solid, although I haven't tried much else on the menu - their soups and chili are just okay. I ate their mac n cheese for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed it. I usually come during happy hour and always leave happy. I'll keep coming for as long as they continue to make those excellent wings and pretzels. Much love, Cover 2!

Food was great, we got charged for an extra entree and didn't realize it until we had left. Should have reviewed the bill at the time we paid.

This is a great place for a beer and an app, or a cup of soup and a salad, while you wait for your car to be washed and vac'd for an hour next door. Relaxed ambiance. Really enjoyed the chipotle ranch wings and the onion soup. Clean restrooms. Our server Chris was very, very nice.

Love this place! They are so accommodating, even in football Sunday!!! The servers are polite and the manger runs around and works just as hard (love seeing that) all the food I've had is amazing. Great specials daily and weekly, worth a stop anytime but especially for football! Not pictured but worth it: chili and eggs, giant pretzels, wings and shrimp pasta!!!

First time trying this place and we were glad we came. The drinks are superb!!! And the food is delicious. We started with the Giant Pretzel. The pretzel was bigger than our heads but very good. Fresh hot and warm and soft in the middle. The queso it comes with is a white queso and one of my favorite quesos I have had. We shared the French Onion Truffle burger. This was huge as well and cooked just as we ordered. Half of this dish was enough to fill me up. This was one yummy burger!!!! The fries are ok, they are the shoestring fries and I am not a fan of those. Did I mention the drinks are awesome here. The wait staff was exceptional and the restaurant was clean. We will definitely be back.

Friendly & attentive staff. Beef enchiladas & Allendale salad are excellent!! Please get frozen machine fixed, out of commission too long. Attentive management.

Incredibly expensive for middle of the road food. Applebees is significantly better for way less money. They got our entire order wrong and it was super loud in the restaurant. Paid for a side of ranch and was brought bleu cheese. Waiter essentially ignored us the whole time, literally had to flag the guy down each time.

The restaurant has made great strides in service, attentiveness, and attention to detail. My last 2 visits have been markedly different than the few that preceded them and which prompted yy less than enthusiastic review updates. A new General Manager, improved staff attitude and simply better service means this spot is back on my short list again.

We had a terrific time here! Our server was perfectly attentive, our drinks tasty, and our food delicious.  The fish in my Mahi Mahi tacos was cooked just right, and, with the slaw, made incredible tacos. Not to ignore the side, the rice was a wow--had pices of peppers tossed thru out and had spiced seasoning. I recommend adding some to your taco. The Cover 3 Salad with salmon was a home run!  The candied walnuts and apples were an unexpectedly good fit together.  We found the Cover Press to be exceptionally refreshing and dangerously easy to drink. After two we had to say stop, but our mouths said, come on, it's just refreshing! The Bourbon-Mint Black Cherry Lemonade, on the other hand, while a refreshing drink, was not misleading, and we knew to stop after one. The berry taste mixed well with the lemonade; however, the mint seemed out of place. It tasted ok, but it would have been a better drink without it. The tortilla soup, however, was our one disappointment.  We found it to be very salty. The restaurant had no issue taking it back and removing it from our bill.

We had dinner there tonight and my husband ordered Chicken fried chicken and it was very good and chicken was very tender. He really appreciated that it wasn't salty as that really ruins the meal. In the past I have had the Ruben sandwich and it was good, however tonight it was the worst I've ever eaten!!! They fried the Corn beef !!! REALLY!!! Obviously the cook has never been to a Jewish Deli. Needless to say I won't order a Corn Beef sandwich there again. The manager did comp the Sandwich which I appreciated and that is also what a good restaurant does. The server felt really bad about the sandwich and did ask to replace it with something else which I also appreciated. So if you really like a Ruben sandwich don't order it at Cover2. By the way we are usually very satisfied there and is why we went there tonight. Also the sauerkraut was almost non existent!!!

I called to place an order over the phone. It was answered and I was told to hold on. 5 minutes later and I arrived at the store. I walked in to place my order and showed them the phone. I was told somebody was supposed to take your order. After placing my order, I was told 15 minutes and they would bring it to my car. The order was ready 33 minutes later. I had to walk back inside to pick up my order. Needless to say I am putting them on hiatus for a while.

Got seated quick. The margaritas are super tiny but flavorful. Don't order a appetizer bc it will come out at the same time as your food does. This place is very under staffed so don't expect a refill or extra napkins. This place is very pricey for the location.

You guys have been 5 star in my eyes for the last 6+ years. Look at my past reviews, all 5 stars I don't know what's going on but you all need to pull it together. I still visit about once a week if not twice but I have noticed some serious changes And they're not necessarily for the better. II have always considered this place my personal "Cheers", I still do, but But there has been a decline across-the-board in service and food quality. I I'm sure you are aware but I'm begging you to Get back to where you were and get back to the place that I Have known and loved for many years.

Ugh! What a waste! Placed a reservation through Yelp since we had plans later & needed to watch time. 4 different people came to reception area to greet us and when they were told we had reservations replied they would be right back. Finally the host or manager or just someone dressed differently seated us. We waited just short of 30 minutes watching scrambling workers going around seating people and leaving them to wait. Finally we left. By the way, when guests are leaving because no one waited on them- "Sorry honey" is not the best response.

Service with a smile is just the beginning! Jane is always on, her attitude and professional service stand out. We always enjoy our time with her at the bar. The food is not your typical bar food. The weekly specials are always tops! If you haven't tried Cover 2 lately, it's definitely worth it!!!

The food here is pretty good the times I've eaten there. The service was also good. But it seems to be a place for the younger crowd to go to happy hour or to gather to watch a football game. It seems always to be busy and that's always a good sign that a place is fun.

Amber is awesome... food is great too! We love the flatbreads and Cover 2 Salad!! Always a friendly neighborhood atmosphere.

This afternoon was pretty bad bar service at Cover 2. She (not sure who she is but posting receipt for management) left our drink empty for so long that we left. We watched her clean lots of stuff and do lots of work, just not get drinks for us.

So today was my first day in Austin. I searched Yelp. I drove by a number of joints. I even walked through Whole Foods. Alas nothing struck my fancy. Heading back, I swung into Cover2. I'm glad I did. The greeting, Silvana as server, and the whole support staff weekend terrific. I started with a cup of French onion soup. It was just a tad too sweet for my taste. I'm also a purist in looking for a single crouton under the hood (of cheese). The fries and prime rib sandwich were a pleasant surprise. I will typically keg wrestle you to keep the horseradish sauce off the plate. The sauce here actually was mellowed very nicely and didn't fight the meat. The fries were great! Nothing more need be said. This was a terrific first meal in a new town. This might become my extended kitchen it was that solid of aa performance!

Been coming to Cover 2 on 183 since it opened. Service and quality of the food has always been highly consistent. We were there last night, Sunday during Cowboys vs Packers. Service was non existent. We waited 15 minutes to put in our drink order. We struggled to get drink refills. I had the Hot Chicken Sandwich, it had zero heat. My fries were hard and cold. Overall one of the worst visits I have had. This has always been a go to spot when family was in town. Disappointing

We've lived by cover 2 going on 2 years now and decided Saturday to finally check it out. (Previously came here and was seated but waitress seemed like she was just so busy she couldnt get to us & the vibe was just off? so we walked out) but let me tell you I sure am glad we gave it a second shot because the food was absolutely amazing and service was even better! Can't remember our waiters name but he was above and beyond. Everything came out quickly and tasted perfect... the environment was a plus! We willl back yall :)

Cover 2 off research always hits the spot it's got the best shoe string fries I can't seem to find anywhere else in Austin . Even though they may just be French fries and not a main course there is something so satisfying about them . My favorite dish is the buffalo chicken sliders , I personally get the blue cheese on the side with ranch to dip . These are amazing and have the perfect thin not to thick cut of chicken that's battered nice and crispy but stays juicy tossed in tangy but not spicy buffalo sauce. The bread doesn't take over the sandwich so that's not all you get full on and is super soft . They also have a buffalo chicken salad that has a good amount of chicken if your not wanting a sandwich but need to cure that buffalo craving . I've only had the burgers other than that and they are equally delicious again especially with those shoe string fries that are always crispy . This place is relaxed and a good place to have a beer while you cool off after a long day or just dining with the family. The staff is pleasant and the deserts are huge . Well at least the brownie is . If you like bars and burgers are in the area and don't know what to eat stop in and try the buffalo sandwich it's my go to and recommendation for cover 2 . If not that than at least grab a beer and some shoe string fries and relax a minute .

Came here for a quick lunch with my husband and kids. We're visiting Austin originally from San Antonio and have been to Cover 3 there. Food was great as always but service was what really made our time there special. Bianca went out her way to go get a coloring book and crayons for my son when she realized they didn't have anymore crayons. Just such a sweet gesture. He was elated! Thank you to Bianca and the Cover 2 fam! We will definitely be back

Been a loyal customer since they opened. Great sports bar with great food. Glad they are still open!

Our first visit. The food was above average for a sports bar and the service was excellent....AND I got to watch The World Champion ASTROS!!

Love the chicken tenders. Atmosphere is top notch. Management is always inviting and staff is on point! Love this place. Highly recommend for food and watching sports.

I stopped by after reading a few Yelp reviews and what a great choice that was. I had the good fortune to sit at the bar and have Miranda take care of me. If I started a bar or a restaurant she would be my first hire (better give her a raise, Doug)! She's friendly, professional and makes a great martini. The hospitality industry needs more Miranda's! Now to the place itself. Cover 2 has a nice, open concept with the ubiquitous flat screens located around the bar and restaurant - it is a sports bar, after all. The people working there are friendly and attentive while the noise level is energetic but not overly loud. The food. The Reuben was honestly just okay. The corned beef to Swiss cheese to kraut ratio is off (not enough kraut) and the bread was cooked to the point where it was as stiff as a board. It tastes okay but the potential for a better sandwich is definitely there. Ask for fries - they don't automatically come with it. The fries were good and - just to see for myself - I ate half the Reuben and then ordered the wings. The buffalo wings are tasty - not the best I've ever had but certainly worth sampling. Pair it with the 512 IPA and you have a winning combination. Overall I would give Cover 2 a solid 8 on a 1-10 scale. The kitchen gets a 7, the bar an 8 and Miranda a 1o I think my math is right). If you're looking for a good sports bar that's not too sporty this is a solid choice.

Went there on a not so busy Sunday . We were sat down by a host and waited to be served . Not a single staff member came to us nor acknowledged to say anything to us. We were just completely ignored the whole time . And I think we were sitting there for like 15 minutes ! Like seriously ?! I understand if you're understaff or the restaurant is busy but it wouldn't hurt to let the customer know that you'll be there shortly , or at least drop some waters . So I highly recommend that you don't come unless you want to be ignored :/

Horrible service today. Sat in a booth for over 15 minutes while others came in after me and got their orders taken. Person who had seated me brought me a drink then nothing. Though a minimum of 5 different servers were standing right next to my booth. I understand a restaurant may be short staffed but limit your seating if you cannot handle it. I've had the similar experience here multiple times. Last time I patron any of the restaurants in this local chain. And "the remedy" after speaking to a manager when I asked for the check for my half drank coke...oh no need to pay for the coke. FAIL ALL AROUND!

Not usually a Sports Bar fan but as they go this place was nice. The service was great, tables clean and wings were tasty.

4 stars because we still like this place, although I have some negative comments. We come here fairly often for the past couple years, dine in and take out. It's a hit or miss on the service. We've have some really attentive staffs and also some unfortunate experiences. But if there's an issue, the floor manager's always very apologizing and trying to make it right. Take out was easy, order by phone and pick up in 15-20min. Only two suggestions: please DO NOT put cold ranch or blue cheese dressing in the same box with hot wings.... by the time of eating, no one wants to dip the wings in a warm, liquidy dressing Yikes!.... And please DO NOT to put deep fried pickles in a closed/sealed box... that makes it super moist and soggy... Last visit was yesterday, waiter was friendly, but our usual wings and parmesan fries was bland... not so tasty as always. Not to mention, the chicken fried steak was flavorless.. was a disappointment. But overall experience was acceptable.

We had a To Go order at Hwy183 Location. Had to wait but Bianca the manager was amazing and took good care of us! I appreciated her attentiveness and kindness, she's the ultimate multi-tasker! Food is always delicious, highly recommend.

Fantastic wings nachos and burritos. Barely got through our dessert the peach pudding bread w/ ice cream was sensational. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Literally the first visit we had and this last visit were like night and day. If I EVER come back here it's gonna have to be at the bar. Apparently you get service that way. Literally just walked in and got sat, was busy due to a UT game no problem. And then we just sit and wait and wait and wait. The supposed waiter for our area literally helped everyone around us and kept skipping us. Idk if it was because we didn't have UT gear on or I was basically the only black person there at the time but ppl that just walked in the door got greeted before we did. We just got up and left. There's no way the dude in the area didn't know we had not been helped as he purposely kept ignoring the table and was serving EVERYONE around us. Terrible service.

Wow! We ate here this past Saturday and we're blown away by the great service and food!! We were a party of 15 and I called ahead and they got us seated no problem... on a Saturday! When we were seated, Thomas was our waiter and because we are a baseball team we were all separate families and checks and he was like... no problem! He even split up a meal onto two checks and split the food onto two plates! Everything was perfect, I had a Buffalo chicken salad and it was spectacular! I also had the mimosa bar for $4!! They bring you a glass of champagne and you go to the bar and make your own with lots of fruit and juice and even candy to add!! Great job and thank you Thomas for your awesome service!!

Normally this place is one of my favorites. Today come I. At 220pm. Semi full, wait up front for 5 mins to be greeted. Then wait 15 mins for a drink. Only ordered 2 appetizers and wait 35 mins for those. Mention this to the server and she has a near come apart about being short staffed and it is what it is. Very disappointing, until manager comes by. Would give Miranda a raise. Very nice and helpful.

The outside of this place is not the friendliest looking but hey can't judge a book by it's cover! My fiancé and I decided to try it out. It was Friday and I just got off work and was craving a nice fresh beer. I ordered a draft beer and it was very disappointing. It was very flat and not that cold. I tried two more and they were all the same, flat and watered down. I thought well let me try the food out, so I ordered the Buffalo wings. They came out and were pretty dry and lacked flavor. The ranch and blu cheese was watered down as well. I was only able to eat two so I thought well maybe I'll try a Caesar salad. The salad was not cold and the dressing was the same, watered down. I was not expecting 5 star restaurant quality but I mean basic flavor and quality was just not there. Sorry to talk badly about this establishment but they really need to taste their own beer and food before serving it to customers.

Came here for brunch and loved their build your own Bloody Mary bar or make your own mimosa. My hubby made a pretty awesome Bloody Mary that was almost a meal in itself. The brunch options are pretty standard and we enjoyed both dishes we got. I had eggs Benedict with tender meat and crispy potatoes. Hubby got chicken fried steak and eggs also yummy. We went with our friends who had a 10 month old and the tables here are counter/bar height but they had a taller high chair to accommodate which I thought was neat. Very friendly service at this location, I like all the cover locations as I think I've been to them all now. Good sports bar and simple food made well.

Really loved the environment here. Looked for a nice place that wasn't strictly wing-oriented to watch the TNF game and this was the right call. Great serve staff, drink selection was awesome and food did not disappoint. Might make this a weekly spot!

Great food selection had an amazing chicken sandwich club and bloody Mary. Great place I didn't know existed til I moved into area and checked them out. Great place to watch the games at. I enjoyed food and service. Definitely will be back. Atmosphere was cozy and friendly warm patrons and staff. Clean. Well kept restraunt and bar. Good draft selections as well. Bar tender patient and courteous. I don't always know what I want when I go to a new place so I appreciated the suggestions and southern hospitality. Thanks again.
