I went to Austin for work, and the customer and I went to eat. Cover 3 was her choice. She asked if I had ever tried it, I said no, but wow, was I impressed. Great place, very friendly staff and customers in general. They had great seating outside where we were in enjoying the cool, overcast day and then we got a mimosa before we ordered(which was very good, not too strong but strong enough) then I got the 10 piece buffalo ranch wings with a side of blue cheese and ranch dip. They had a variety of different flavored wings- which were so good. If you're looking for an upscale but casual place to go in north Austin, give them a try! I will be back for sure.

Lunch on a Thursday. Service was good, food was meh. Had Buffalo Chicken Sliders and there was way too much Bleu Cheese on them. A little scraping and a dip in the ranch made them better. Wife had Beef Tenderloin Sliders and they were way overdone (she ordered medium). Fries were ok but were lukewarm so as I ate them they cooled to the point that they weren't good. So, overall, lunch was OK but won't be back.

Service was great and place is cute. Only enjoyable if you sit outside given the inside smells of straight sewage! Drinks were good, but overall this place is very overpriced even during happy hour. Spent over $200 all with happy hour prices. Likely wouldn’t come back, wasn’t impressed by the food and didn’t feel like we got our money’s worth :/

Loved it. Went for work happy hour. The drinks were great and so was the food. Got a lot of delicious food. Favorite was the calamari and the spicy chipotle wings. Fries has its own fan base! If you decide to get one for the kids, better get another one for the adults.

Loved their Blackened Shrimp and Chicken Pasta, the sauce had a kick in it which I loved, the chicken and shrimp were cooked perfectly. My husband loved the Ruby Trout as well. The Cover 3 Salad was good too. Our server was very polite and warm. We will definitely go back to try their other dishes.

We went for breakfast and were very satisfied! The food was delicious, and the mimosa cocktail was just amazing. We will definitely come back! prices are good for such an institution

Love this place! We went for the first time after buying a voucher from Costco. We did not think much of it and had never tried Cover 3. Our first visit was incredible food was so good including appetizer and entrees and environment was very soothing and comforting. Fast forward we visited another time and were yet again blown away by this restaurant’s amazing food and service. Would definitely recommend the chili, pasta, nachos, and truffle burger. We love this place and will be our go to for now on. Definitely recommend if you are contemplating a visit, do it!

Was treated to a much needed dinner out. Cover 3 did not disappoint. Beef Tenderloin Sliders were excellent. Served with Parmesion fries. I also had an Old Fashion aling with water. Service was quick and food was cooked perfectly.

We came here between visiting Dragon's Lair and a dinner at Lonesome Dove to kill time, have some drinks, and just banter. The place was clean, the waitstaff was attentive without being overbearing. We just had drinks do no comment on the food, the drinks were solid and not too expensive. SHANA SAYS: My family and I visited Cover 3 recently just to kill time. We had a free hour before dinner reservations at Lonesome Dove, so we stopped in for a drink. Liked the ambiance. It's comfy and clean. Plenty of TV's all playing the Olympics. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. I had an espresso martini. It was a solid B Minus. Nothing flashy but tasty. Which about mirrors what I thought. A solid place, efficient and a good place to stop, have a drink, watch sports and hang out. The stars were tough as we didn't really stay long so get a great overall feel so went higher rather then lower.

Came with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. Our server was attentive: our drinks stayed full, our orders were taken timely, and recommendations for dessert were spot on. The chicken fried NY strip was amazing! Five stars! The mahi mahi tacos, as lettuce wraps and on tortillas, were a hit.

When visiting Austin, Cover3 is one of my first stops. The decor is not overdone with sports jerseys and memorabilia. The frozens are amazingly delicious and the filet mignon and wings are some of the best I have had. Being a scratch kitchen makes all the difference setting Cover3 apart from other restaurants in Austin. Kudos to the chef for his attention to quality. The service by Eislee was perfect! She is very knowledgeable regarding the menu and is super attentive!!! I really enjoy visiting Cover3 in Austin!

Tried this place for a casual late lunch via our Offline deal. Food was pretty good - really liked the ranch in ranch chicken fingers to start. I only like tenders with a lighter style fried breading, and these were that. Then I had a Caesar salad with salmon and my husband had two sliders with fries. All good and came out fast. The waitress was very nice and on top of anything we needed. When I went to pay the check, I wanted to make sure I tipped her on the original bill, not the discounted Offline bill. Very strange though, when doing the match, the device's recommended tips were def way higher than what it said. If you just click 20% or 25% and don't do the math yourself, you would be way over tipping. Kind of strange so just look out on the bill!

Wanted to watch Game 1 of the NBA finals so we decided on this place. Loved the atmosphere. Plenty of TVs and great food. The service was excellent and we throughly enjoyed our time here. We arrived in time to enjoy the happy hour discounts. Started with cocktails. Rum and coke and Frozen Margarita. Both 10/10. For appetizers we got the corn ribs and a fried shrimp. Both delicious. For the mains we got the Green Chili Beef burrito 10/10 and the wings 10/10. For desert we got the Big Ol Brownie which was amazing. So for a fun night and to catch some sports in a place that has the right crowd, more mature and less rowdy, this place is it.

I've been coming here for quite some time for business meetings and dinners. So I'm going to point out their event spaces. We usually meet upstairs in their balcony room overlooking the restaurant where they will have several great apps to choose from such as sliders, wings chicken strips and tex mex items all served in chafing trays. The upstairs area has many couches and is for casual events. At the back of the house is another private room for sit down dining or business presentations. The back room can seat up to 40 people and there is a large projection screen for presentations. They do have a full bar that you can sit at in the main room or choose one of the comfortable booths for dining. In the main room, there are numerous flat screens tuned in to sports channels. However, if you choose to have a family or work event with your business or family, this is a good place to have it and their table service is consistently very good and so is the grub.

Love the brunch with the Bubbles and Bloody Mary Bar. Avocado toast and Migas were our favorites. Great service too!

We went here on a Thursday night to watch the NBA Finals and grab dinner and cocktails. We arrived at 6p and were seated promptly. Our server quickly arrived to get our orders. We started with two items from the social hour menu (corn ribs and fried shrimp). Both were good with the corn ribs being better than the fried shrimp. The fried shrimp was very greasy. I ordered two frozen margs (one strawberry mango and one just strawberry), both tasty! Our entrees were the green chile beef burrito and the wings, both were good and a nice portion size. We also ordered the Cole slaw and fries as a side. The Cole slaw was just ok, but the fries were good. We ended our meal with the big ol brownie, it was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it was yummy and very filling. The vibe was fun and tons of sports fans around.

I have loved this restaurant since they opened in 2008! Our most recent trip was a few weeks ago when we were in town from Dallas. It was great- Jack was behind the bar and made us some yummy martinis! The service was stellar. I ordered the Rueben and it is such generous plateful of food! I took half of the sandwich home and had it for lunch the next day. My partner ordered the chicken wings and she loved them! The cheesecake for dessert was outstanding as well. Very creamy. The atmosphere was great- tvs on all walls showing the college games we wanted to see. But it's really more of an upscale sports bar- more ambiance than a plain sports bar. If you live in Austin and haven't been to a Cover 3, I highly recommend it. If you're visiting town, it's the perfect place to go for food, drinks and football! You'll be glad you went!

Crickets crawling around the floor while I was trying to eat. Waitress didn't care. Never coming back to this place until they fix this.

We went there Thurs. 8/22/24 at 3:00pm. We went there specifically for prime rib. We didn't know we had to wait until 4pm until we could place the order. I got mixed up about the times for prime rib during the week vs. the weekend. When we took the first bite, we couldn't believe that that meat was being passed off as prime rib. We asked for medium for me and medium rare for my friend...not even close. We did like the horseradish sauce and the side of mashed potatoes.

Came in here for the first time at around 10 o'clock on Friday Cinco de Mayo to be exact! It was dead. There were literally no people inside couldn't hear the TVs. There was no music, and there was about 20 of us. Pretty boring. I will say they have a great drinks and a long list of whiskey and other liquor. We didn't have any food, but we also didn't get a food menu. Service was OK considering there was a lot of us, but we were the only people. I got my drink fairly fast but it did take quite some time to get our check. We stayed probably 30 minutes and ended up leaving because it just wasn't our vibe. I would come here again for the drinks. Not sure if it was an off day or if it's always like that, but the place is quiet. Has sort of a sporty vibe, but barely. Otherwise it's clean, modern and a nice place overall.

Came in this week to have lunch with an old friend. We were both blown away by the food also our server Tiarra was so good to us , was on top of keeping our drinking filled and making sure we were comfortable they definitely looking to have such great wait staff. Nice seating with variety of seating. TVs everywhere! I have experienced what may be one of the best burgers I've ever had. The Chop House burger medium with everything including cheddar with Parmesan fries. And OMG I ordered slaw as a side and it was delicious...the perfect compliment to the burger. Along with the draft Karbach Cerveza, I was in culinary heaven. Bravo, Cover 3!

Dropped in spontaneously for dinner on a Saturday night. Fortunately we were sat right away, but it was quite busy so service was really slow (completely understandable - everyone was running around, bussing their own tables, running food, etc.). Overall we were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. The menu has a great variety and goes above and beyond your typical "sports bar" restaurant. We would definitely revisit to try other things on the menu, and their Big Ol' Brownie is SO GOOD - a must if you love gooey perfect brownie with cold, sweet ice cream. OVERVIEW: A good vibes sports bar restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of TVs, and a decent menu. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, this location has a regular parking lot shared with the other restaurants in the area. - Happy hour? Yes, happy hour is M-F 3-6pm and is on shareables and drinks. FOOD RATINGS: - Fried pickles (5/5): Loved these! I'm picky about my fried pickles but these were battered well (not too much), we're crispy, and had a great almost chipotle-like flavor. The ranch was also delicious. - Hot wings (5/5): These were done really well. Buttery hot Buffalo sauce, crispy wings, tasty Bleu cheese dressing and ranch. - Cover 3 salad (4/5): This was a great little side salad! The candied walnuts were so good, the goat cheese was perfect, and the dressing was a nice balance. - Blackened chicken and shrimp pasta (1/5): This was so bland and definitely the worst thing we ordered (go figure...pasta at a sports bar? Probably not the smartest choice). The chicken was dry and had 0 flavor. The shrimp had no flavor. The angel hair was over cooked. The sauce was bland. Just a no all around. Needed some acid for sure (lemon maybe, more tomatoes). Do not recommend, even if you're really in the mood for pasta. - Big Ol' Brownie (5/5): This was the best thing. They really deliver on the name - this brownie is HUGE, topped with a generous portion of vanilla bean ice cream, and it's melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Did I need this on top of everything else I ate? Absolutely not. Was it the perfect ending to our meal? 1,000% yes.

Ordered Cover 3 salad and Chicken Fried NY Strip. Salad was ok but small for 8 bucks. Chicken Fried NY Strip was not a NY Strip. It was beef cutlet and breading fell off at the first touch with a fork. I sent it back and ordered chicken and shrimp pasta. It was not great but it was real chicken and shrimp. Waitress was fine. Service was fine. Food is horrible. No one seemed at all concerned that what they serve is not what is on the menu. I won't be back.

Service was friendly as always, I've been coming here for about two years as a regular spot. Unfortunately food has come out without the care I am used to when I first started coming here. Quality of the food has gotten poorer over the last 6 months. Food is not fresh and below average. Cheese on the truffle burger was sour - and the cheesecake ordered by my friend was most likely expired. Unfortunately this place has been trending down on food. Beer, vibe, and service is always great here, but the food has ran me off for now. Will give another chance, but not any time soon.

Service was good. Room was very dark, even at noon. Ordered my burger medium rare. When I asked the server if the kitchen didn't cook meat medium rare, some restaurants don't, and she replied that they are able to cook meat medium rare. Her excuse for it being overcooked was that maybe it sat under the heat lamps too long and it cooked it more. Not real happy but brought 3/4 of burger home.

Excellent place for a casual Sunday meeting with friends or an even dinner with your spouse. For appetizers my favorite is the Mongolian pork lettuce wraps.a little bit on the sweet side with a excellent mustard sauce and a little bit of exotic spice. All of the burgers are good but one of my favorites is the French onion burger grilled medium. The burger is so tasty you definitely do not need ketchup. The fries are a little bit small and greasy but they do have parmesan and salt sprinkled on them with parsley ground sprinkled throughout. The filet mignon is also an excellent choice for a main entree and the salads are loved by many of my friends. Several beers on tap including Miller lite and the service is always up to par.

We've been coming to cover 3 for a few years now. Love the food and atmosphere. Service is great, especially want to give a shout out to Alyssa!

I had dinner with my friends for the first time, and I really enjoyed the food and vibe. Our Server's name was Tiara, and she was wonderful. She was attentive and friendly.

Kade Mitchell is the best server I've ever had. The fried pickles are so good and Kade was always on time with my orders. Can't recommend him enough.

I love everything about this place! The food really hits the spot every time and each server makes sure you are pleased. Especially Eric, who made us feel free to ask anything and did a great job making sure we had our food and were happy.

The food is good enough to eat there!! I sat down and no one came up to say hi or acknowledge I'm a human, so after 3 minutes I got up to take a piss. The restrooms needed a quick wipe down. Then I left!!!! I hat the new crappy service idea people have especially in to cool Austin.

I met up with my peeps for a quick drink and some lunch. We had a great time while there. Its a great place to have a drink at the bar and/or sit down at a table to have a meal. I had a delicious mojito cocktail that was refreshing; I would definitely order that drink again. We also tried the Strawberry Basil Lemonade cocktail that is as well but between the two I choose Cover 3 mojito because its not as sweet; its light & tasty. For food, I had the po' boy lunch special and it comes with parmesan fries. Everything was delicious and the time there was great especially with a server like John. Its like we got to watch shorts skits at our table. The price range is and the bill was a bit over $100. They have good meal portions, everything was delicious and the service was excellent.

Currently infested with big gnats! Food is great but fighting off gnats is a nuisance, a turn off, and bad for business. I will not return until this issue has been addressed. lLight fixtures over the tables should also be cleaned.

Amazing Restaurant and Team! Been having lunch meetings here for over 10 years and can't get enough of their food! Great place to host Christmas Parties and other special events as well with their private back room and Sky Deck, Thank you Denim, Chelsea and team!!!

I've been here a handful of times to catch games and found it's a solid fallback option if we don't want to try somewhere new or go out of the highland area. There's plenty of comfortable seating, and they do a mostly reasonable job of spacing people inside and out. The drink prices and selection could both be better, but there's enough variety that I haven't gotten bored in my visits and nothing is egregiously overpriced. Food wise you look at the menu and get the impression it's very standard American fare, and you wouldn't be totally wrong, but I've been pretty impressed with some items. In particular the sliders and chicken were both considerably bigger and more flavorful than I expected. But I'm most cases I've found the food to be just okay. Overall I'd say its a good place to have in your sports bar rotation if you're in central/north Austin, but nothing to write home about

Great environment. We came here to watch Kentucky Derby and NBA playoffs. Sat at bar and spent most of the day here. Food was great and bartenders were awesome! So attentive. Kash and Heather were the best!!

The food was okay, I had the shrimp and chicken pasta. My partner had the allandale salad, one friend had a burger, another had a sandwich. All the food came out at different times, my pasta coming out first about ten minutes earlier than everyone else's food. I honestly wouldn't even mention this if not for the real problem I had. The drinks were good, especially the Lime and the Coconut. We have a 9 month old, there is no changing station or table. I had to change my babies diaper on his changing pad on the floor. The bathroom was disgusting, smelled foul, and had a very dirty floor that I had to kneel on to change my baby. This is the smallest accommodation you could make for parents. Don't want kids there at all? Notify me at the door so I don't have a soiled baby with no place to change them. Not every single place has to be baby friendly, I enjoy childless environments at times, but I'd like to be told so so that I can choose a place that welcomes families. It was so disgusting that I had to kneel on the bathroom floor and try to keep my baby on his small mat so he wasn't crawling on the bathroom floor in the middle of our meal.

Here's an idea.....if you don't have kitchen staff to support private parties AND the restaurant...don't book private rooms! The last 2 biz lunches took 2 hours which is unacceptable.

Everything that I expected from this place did not play out as planned. I dined in for my birthday and the waiter was extraordinarily young and awkward. When he asked for my ID I thought he would at least see the birthday but that obviously wasn't the case. Almost all of our drinks and apps and main dishes came out by a manager. It was a very awkward dining experience -- my friend was never able to mention my birthday comfortably and so it just fell flat as a dining experience. The food gives this place a 4/5 because the fried NY Strip was incredible and the lettuce Mongolian wraps were amazing.

Everyone here is so nice, welcoming, and amazing. I come here after a bad day at work, and everyone always brings a warm smile to me. Dorothy, Jack, Edward, Heather are incredible. They make my day. The food is phenomenal, I got the delicious fries, burger, and brownie. This place is incredible. I only come back because of the superior customer service, and the management led by John, Dave, Leah.

First visit. Sunday around noon. Hostess seemed to care less Waiter took our drink order and returned with the diet coke. I opted for a Michelada and maybe arrived 10 minutes later then was possibly the worst I've ever had. Barely more than a beer. Service had us asking if we had come at a bad time. Looked like a couple large tables. Partner had a salad - said it was good. I ordered the Verde chicken breakfast enchiladas and they were very good. Will give another try in hopes we chose a bad day.

I hadn't been here in years. Joined a coworker for drinks and was pleasantly surprised. There was plenty of space and places to park. The Mahi Mahi tacos were a hit. I like the option of being able to go from a frozen margarita to a margarita on the rocks. Try the black cherry. It was an experience :) Shout out to Riley for taking care of us.

My fiancé and I went to see the Austin FC game last week and we had an amazing time at Cover 3. The food was very tasty and the service was amazing. I am not a big fan of key lime pie but the one here is delicious . I will definitely go back soon.
