"If you feel like a dehydrated person lost in a desert (which you might if you’re still at Space at 10am), then stumble towards Manna, a healthy little oasis that’s thankfully not a mirage. The food is all plant-based, most of it is vegan, and it's all good, too. It’s also a relaxing place where you can collapse into a couch and suck on a smoothie like your life depends on it. They also have a selection of plant-based arepas (the coconut meat ceviche arepa is our favorite), and it’s takeout friendly and pretty quick." - ryan pfeffer
"Manna is a narrow Downtown restaurant, and another one of those places good for a quick, casual breakfast or lunch. They’ve got the usual suspects: açaí bowls, smoothies, and veggie bowls. But they also have a great coconut meat ceviche served with arepa wedges, burritos wrapped in nori, and a selection of arepas—which are arranged more like a flatbread and piled with falafel, avocado, and more tasty things. "Your quick, healthy options in Downtown are very limited, which makes Manna all the more valuable. This casual spot can work for takeout or a quiet sit-down meal, and the food is all plant-based and vegan (with the exception of some smoothies that use honey). It’s relaxing in here, with plants and a couch and a general atmosphere that is the opposite of the grimy traffic that awaits you outside. They have smoothies, soups, bowls, and a selection of “arepas” that look more like little pizzas." - ryan pfeffer
