"Austin ice cream shop Cow Tipping Creamery is bringing dreamy, photo-perfect soft serve cones topped with cotton candy and glitter sprinkles for one day only. It’s a collaboration with cotton candy company Fancy Fluff, available tonight, Friday, September 14, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Sunset Valley sweets shop on 4715 South Lamar Boulevard. The ice cream concoction is made with bubble gum soft serve, topped with multicolored cotton candy and glittery celestial-shaped sprinkles, all placed in a purple cone. While the item isn’t on Cow Tipping’s permanent menu, perhaps it’ll make a return, like its bubble waffle ice cream cones and doughnut cones. The ice cream shop isn’t new to Instagram-bait frozen creations, like edible gold leaf and gold sprinkle-topped cones and Star Wars-themed cones and stackers. Co-owners Timothy and Corey Sorenson opened Cow Tipping Creamery as a food truck in 2012, and turned it into a brick-and-mortar in Sunset Valley with the help of Dallas-based pizzeria chain Cane Rosso. It just announced its new Dallas brick-and-mortar in the Carrollton neighborhood, opening sometime this month." - Nadia Chaudhury

First off they need better signs. Second it is where the location says on Google Maps but is only seen if you get off of your car and walk around the building and look. I will post some pictures to try to help out for the location and some of my pictures it will be in the left corner. Key location it is next to the Stouthaus Coffee Pub. Also they only have 5 or 6 stools to sit on inside; if not you have the choice to sit outside with like 4 or 5 two person tables. So their ice cream is good but I got the large waffle cone birthday cake and just fyi they do not fill it all the way probably like you would do but they leave it hollow in the inside as you can see in one of my pictures. My girlfriend got Southern Charm ice cream that was supposed with brownie pieces but instead they put big pieces of toffee with chocolate on the other side of it. After the frustrating time to find this place...I would go back sometime and try other ice creams.

I don't understand the hype around this place. Visited mid afternoon with my kids. The staff seemed bored/uninterested in being there. Requested a gluten free version of something and they were out of the GF brownies, okay, no biggie...but it came out with crumbles (questionably gf? Not an issue of cross contamination, just an oversight?) and missing a topping there was an upcharge for. The carmelized bananas tasted old and mushy, like they had been frozen then unfrozen. The soft serve itself was creamy but sickly sweet. I think the soft serve sundays at McDonald's are less sweet...and 1/3 of the price. The shop was cute but lacked ambiance. Put a bit of music on! Oh, and maybe put some hand wipes out for the inevitable ice cream mess.

We came into Austin from Waco for a day of fun. After dinner we looked up a local ice cream shop and found this one a few miles from where we were. When we arrived we walked in to an amazing smell and a long line. We waited in the line and ordered our ice cream once ordered it took about 5 mins to receive our order. Our impatient son said he would have waited 30 mins for just the vanilla ice cream 🍨. It was unbelievably amazing. I highly recommend you check this place out so so good. Great little hidden sitting on the side for family’s who do not like crowds. We love this place and will be back on our next visit to Austin.

I'm not much of an ice cream aficionado but I am a fan! Certainly this place is good, but when we went they did not have a lot of toppings or ice cream combinations - now whether they were ill-equipped or were so busy early that it was all taken, but at the end of the day it's still soft serve. Given it's remote destination, I'd probably stick to a more centrally located place like Lick!

Delicious ice cream with unique flavor combinations! The store doesn't have a sign outside so it's hard to find it, it's located beside Cane Rosso, facing the highway. Inside the store there aren't many places to sit, so be ready to sit outside in the heat. The seating area is covered and clean! Aside from this the staff is friendly and helpful, I definitely recommend checking this place out.

Really enjoyed our first experience at Cow Tipping Creamery. The time from ordering to receiving our "stacker" (basically a sundae) was very reasonable. There's not much seating inside, but the shared outside seating with the coffee shop next door is nice. Looking forward to coming back another time when we're in this part of town to try another flavor!

Good taste. But too much brownies, i tastes more brownies then ice cream. Staff is too fast, they read yourborser from the screen and ice cream is ready bwfore u pay.

Cow Tipping Creamery has done it again with their amazing ice cream concoctions. The Nuttin’ But Pumpkin stacker special of the week was absolutely phenomenal. There was actual pumpkin Nutella cake chunks on top of the pumpkin soft serve ice cream, unbelievable. Let’s not forget the Nutella sauce, chocolate chips, and the cocoa cookie crumbs. This will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. It’s never a disappointment at CTC. Always a excellent effort of creating the best soft ice cream experience. You can always tell the pride and joy they have when receiving your order. Highly recommend looking for their weekly stacker specials. You never know what they will soft serve up next 😊. Enjoy my foodie connoisseurs.
