My daughter got a basic trim and it was great, but my son is the reason we were here. We just got home from this place and I have already called them to ask about why the perm didn't seem to take in some places. I was told to just add more gel at home and scrunch it. The back is curled properly, but the front must have had sections where the solution wasn't applied evenly. Update: Changing 1 star to a 3 star because after talking to the owner, she has made room for us to try to come back in and see what she can do. They offered to fix it today, but you can't redo a perm same day which they called back and mentioned, so that's a little nerve-racking too, but I will not lose hope in them just yet! They did try to ask if it was our fault by going out in the rain or wearing a hat, but neither happened. Then it was mentioned that on the cameras he looked like he had very curly hair, so they don't know how this could be possible. However, I remember commenting on how some weren't very curly when he got up from having his hair washed out. I don't appreciate the implication that it is our fault when they already didn't want to take ownership of it, so we're staying with three stars for now. It's the next day and we're updating to five stars because the owner did everything in her power to fix things and he is back to happy. The staff is amazing. There will be mistakes no matter what business is being run, and I don't love that we were one of the clients who had to experience a mistake, but when you have a business that will make it right at any cost, that is absolutely invaluable. Final edit is a four-star and I think it's generous. Got it home and I can see that the haircut doesn't blend well at all especially at the back it's all a hot mess. The kid grew out his entire head so that he could have it permed and then cut to look like curly hair, but she cut the hair before the perm, shaved the sides and permed only the top at the end so it's all very disjointed now compared to all the inspo pictures he showed. If it looked intentional and it blended well I'd be okay with it, but nah. Good people, amazing owner who re-permed after Grace's Picasso work, friendly atmosphere, love the dog, but ultimately I would never go back and I would advise anybody I cared about to stay away, too. Final final edit is a 3-star because after charging $5 a piece for my daughter to have tinsel in her hair I found out that when she was with her dad it didn't even last a couple of days before many of them fell out, so we got it done on Thursday and she went to school the following Wednesday and I didn't see the tinsel and she said it fell out on the weekend. She's had tinsel before, so she knows how to take care of it. It should last up to 2 weeks not 2 days. Grace was the one who did that, too. Send her back to beauty school.

Had a great haircut experience with Grace at Cowboys and Angels. She was very professional and delivered an excellent cut. Friendly service and great attention to detail. Highly recommend Grace for anyone looking for a quality haircut!

Shannon is the best hair stylist I've ever had. I've been going to her for the past 13 years! She has a ton of experience and uses top quality products! She makes me feel fantastic the entire time! Everyone at the salon has great vibes and are very welcoming. I love the snack and drink bar! If you love fun colors Shannon is your person!

I have been getting my hair done by Shannon for the past 10 years. She has done all sorts of amazing colours and styles for me, Shannon has always made sure I am getting exactly what I have asked for and takes pride in the beautiful work she does. I always leave the salon feeling so much more confident and happy with the result as well as I always get so many compliments on the beautiful colour. I am so thankful to have the best hairstylist who puts 110% into what she does and values all her clients to make sure they get exactly what they want and ask for!

I had a beautiful updo done by Taylor for a wedding I was attending. She did an amazing job, was absolutely delightful and my updo lasted all day and night! Highly recommend! Also, the prices are very, very reasonable at this salon.

Cowboys and angels is a fantastic salon! Everyone is so friendly and kind. I had an appointment with Shannon for colour & a cut and what a time it was. She was so thoughtful and explained what she was thinking off of what I said and talked through the process. I was so happy with how it turned out and appreciated her giving my bangs and layers a second trim to get them a little shorter and to what I was envisioning. Fantastic colour work & a truly wonderful experience. I love cowboys and angels!

Love this salon and especially the very talented Shannon Clark! She's such an amazing hairstylist and the only person to have ever been able to give me exactly what I wanted with my colour and cut. The atmosphere here is so lively and you can really tell that all the hairstylists get along well since the vibe is so friendly and fun. Highly recommend this salon and Shannon!

Shannon fixed a really awful cut for me and did an AMAZING job. I requested a long pixie cut at a different salon and was given something completely different that I absolutely hated. I called Cowboys and Angels, and was lucky to get in the same day with Shannon. She walked me through every step of improving the bad cut, and patiently answered my numerous questions. She made my hair look as good as it possibly could (I get so many compliments on it), and I'm excited to see her again and get it to where I want it to be. Amazing service and skill level 🙌

They treated me well and had great availability. Warm greetings, offers of drinks while you wait, and interesting decor in this converted family home salon. My stylist was very engaging, and the whole place was full of intriguing conversations :) Fairly surprised to see this lovely salon in boring old Waterloo. Unfortunately my haircut didn't quite work out, and mildly expedited my next one. Probably an off day for the stylist -- I would give them another shot next time I'm in town.

If 0 would be available it would be 0 star. Seriously! Top 10! Loudly place feel like in a bar. First time I cry after an haircut. I can put pictures. Nothing to do with style. My husband has better at barbershop.

Both my husband and I get our haircuts from here with Rebecca Lamb. We love the atmosphere in here. Whenever we come for our appointments, the place is always busy and bustling with activities. Everyone is friendly and got their own style and personality. And the place also feels homey - in winter times, you get to slip off your clunky boots and get into the slippers and sit with a hot cup of coffee/tea they offer for you.

I went for a colour and a trim. The haircut was good, but the colouring is sad. After 10 days, my dark brown colour was disappearing. Paid $129 for a colour and cut...and disappointed. So, go for a cut if you want, but I don't recommend colouring.

A terrible experience overall. I read reviews here and thought it would be a great place to get a hair cut. Hell, I was wrong. It was extremely noisy all the time, and I got a headache from that (similar to a trip to a dentist). The hair stylist and I couldn't hear each other because of the noises. She cut my hair for only about 2 minutes. It felt fast and unprofessional. It was wayyy overpriced. I will never go back again. Do not recommend.
