Wandered into this establishment after walking much of Pioneer Square, with the hopes of watching the start of the first home game of the Kraken and to sample an adult beverage and their food.
This was one of the worst decisions I have ever made. I began by thinking it was oddly quaint, but the service was poor, none of the emplyees wore masks--AT ALL, the food was horrid--I ordered the brisket nachos, and they were out of brisket. The server stated that they were making this item with ground beef instead. When it arrived it was truly that, clumped of unseasoned ground beef. Toss some salt and pepper on it at least.
But it gets worse. They couldn't find the Kraken game so they kept the Dodgers/Braves game on. My server took my credit card when I sat down to run a tab. After the nachos arrived, my server disappeared and I was not visited by a server again. About 30 minutes later, frustrated from being ignored, I went to close my tab. The bartender stated they didn't know where my server had gone. They just left a while ago... with my credit card. And that she would send someone to get the manager. About 10 minutes later, I am about to call the police to report the theft of my card by the employees of this establishment, or the establishment itself. A man finally walks out and talks to the bartender, who points to my table. The man pulls my credit card off a clip behind the bar. Why the bartender doesn't know this clipboard exist confuses me. But anyway the man looks at the computer and then slowly brings my card back up to me. I take it and put it away. He then shares that the server closed out my bill on some other patrons card, and he would need to rerun the charges back on my card. Or he could be an effective manager and write off the error on his part and his server. They already got paid for my items. And now he wanted to charge again. Or, I could still call the police and report the theft of my card and the extortion he was trying to now pull off. He stared at me for a moment and then said, take your card. I was not bluffing, nor am I an inexperienced twenty-year old who doesn't check my bill, or understand the etiquette of running a food service establishment.
They had numerous times to fix their error, I am not an unkind person, but they didn't all the way up to me having to threaten to call the police on them.
My advice to anyone thinking about venturing into this establishment is to just not do it. If you do, make sure they aren't billing others on your tab, and be cautious of their servers and your credit cards.
If I could have given a negative star rating I would have. This is not a place I ever plan to visit again, and if you want to avoid COVID (seriously none of the staff wore masks at all) or being robbed I would suggest you do the same.
