This is the second time I have been to this location for a massage. The first time I left less than satisfied by the massage technique and the massage bed was uncomfortable as my head felt like it was hanging off lower than it needed to be and strained. I came back a second time with a new masseuse to give it another shot and was also left dissatisfied by the massage technique. I felt like I was getting a gentle pat down and I asked 2-3 times for more pressure and to please get out my knots and tension. I ended up booking a facial / massage after at The Sculptress London as I felt like my upper body tension wasn’t address. I also noted 2 times that it was too cold in the room and had to get a second blanket put over me. I had goosebumps during my treatment and was hard to enjoy. At the end, I saw that the room was 19 Celsius which is freezing if you’re laying there barely clothed with limbs exposed in a small room with a vent above. Staff was nice and there was complementary tea and lemon water. The aromas and oil scents used on me also smelt nice and relaxing. The venue is cute and the street its on is a nice walk.

An amazing experience from start to finish. I arrived 5mins early to a super warm welcome, and sat in their lovely waiting area. I was quickly collected by Lolo who did the most amazing facial in the comfiest seat I think I’ve ever sat in! Highly recommend! She also advised which LED light was best for my skin - I appreciated the guidance as had never had an LED facial before. I then had a pedicure in the next chair, which was somehow very relaxing despite the ticklish parts. Lolo was a true professional and if I came back I would definitely return to her. The atmosphere was lovely, not too busy not too quiet, but you feel extremely looked after every step of the way. When I was leaving, the manager spoke to me about my treatments and gave me a free sample which aligned with my skin needs. I walked out feeling thoroughly relaxed and happy. Would definitely return and recommend!

I had a lovely facial! Erda was fantastic and it was so relaxing. My skin was glowing after the treatment and it was worth the money. The space was clean and I am looking forward to my next treatment. Thank you to Penny to recently taking the time to call me and sort out a situation that happened with my appointment.

A really comfy and cozy place in the heart of a cute neighbourhood. I had the massage today, which was absolutely fabulous and comes with a complimentary hot beverage. The room temperature was warm, and I had my choice of scented oil. The only downside was that the treatment was downstairs. (Yes, London loves its basements). As such during my treatment I heard the constant stomping of either moving chairs and people walking upstairs. That was the reason I did not give this place 5 stars.

As a working mom of three, including a newborn, I have always considered Cowshed a special indulgence. Recently, I was thrilled to receive two vouchers as gifts. After the birth of my third in July, I was excited to use these vouchers for a birthday celebration with my best friend. Since August, I tried booking a double appointment at this Primrose Hill location online without success. On September 30, I finally called, and a team member explained there was an online system error but kindly secured a booking on my actual birthday. I mentioned my vouchers and was assured they’d be handled at checkout. I arranged a restaurant brunch, childcare, and everything for this treat. Unfortunately, 7 days before my appointment, I was told that despite available therapists, my booking couldn’t proceed on my birthday due to room availability, and I was rescheduled to late October. This required rearranging brunch plans and securing a new nanny, as my regular one wasn’t available. The 2 x 90min Deep Tissue massages on the day were outstanding, thanks to Kaori and Nikki. However, the checkout process was a complete letdown. I was informed that the voucher wasn’t valid at this venue—a surprise, as I’d never been told this before. But the most disappointing part was the manager on duty. When I had explained the situation, manager’s response was dismissive, showing little empathy despite the effort and planning I’d put into this experience, intended as a postpartum birthday treat. Her receptionist witnessing the entire thing, on the other hand, felt so awful she apologised profusely and was incredibly sweet. In the end, I paid the remaining £200+ balance without any resolution about the vouchers. The manager did not offer to follow up or rectify the situation in ang shape or form. For a brand that prides itself on wellness and luxury, this experience fell so very short of the standard I expected. UPDATE: Thankfully, after I sent a letter of complaint they’ve decided to honour my voucher, hence the two stars instead of none. I’m glad at least their after care customer service team are capable.

I know it’s called Cowshed but I didn’t expect to meet an actual ‘cow’ in reception. She was conpletely unsuited to her role. I’ve not been ‘greeted’ in such a condescending careless and dismissive way for years. She was consistently unhelpful, inflexible and to make it worse, she was uninterested in her customers. If a member of staff is having such a bad day that they exude dislike they should stay at home The therapist, adrianna, was lovely.

I love it here - one of the best facials and massages ever. Felt very high quality and professional and overall just a really beautiful spa.
