I recently had a 90-minute Lava Shell Massage at Cowshed. The massage itself was excellent — the lava shells stayed hot longer and provided a deep, soothing heat, and the therapist was skilled and attentive. The longer duration offered good value compared to other spas. However, the ambiance wasn’t to my taste; the rustic decor felt a bit dated, and the cleanliness was disappointing — the toilets smelled unpleasant, and the massage bed’s face cradle had an odor, though the therapist kindly provided extra cushioning. The massage oils didn’t have a strong scent and felt less pleasant compared to other places I’ve visited. There was no shower or relaxation area afterward, so I had to get dressed quickly and leave. Overall, the spa experience felt less polished than others I’ve tried. Good massage but the surroundings and facilities could definitely be improved

Came yesterday with my friend Sophie, we had £50 vouchers both given to us for birthdays. We had the Cowshed pedicure and ultimate pedicure. We both said afterwards they were the best pedicures we have ever had. Emily did my pedicure and I’m really pleased with it. I also love the range of colours and the chairs are so relaxing. For a small High Street spa (in beautiful Primrose Hill), this place is excellent and I will definitely be going back.

This is the second time I have been to this location for a massage. The first time I left less than satisfied by the massage technique and the massage bed was uncomfortable as my head felt like it was hanging off lower than it needed to be and strained. I came back a second time with a new masseuse to give it another shot and was also left dissatisfied by the massage technique. I felt like I was getting a gentle pat down and I asked 2-3 times for more pressure and to please get out my knots and tension. I ended up booking a facial / massage after at The Sculptress London as I felt like my upper body tension wasn’t address. I also noted 2 times that it was too cold in the room and had to get a second blanket put over me. I had goosebumps during my treatment and was hard to enjoy. At the end, I saw that the room was 19 Celsius which is freezing if you’re laying there barely clothed with limbs exposed in a small room with a vent above. Staff was nice and there was complementary tea and lemon water. The aromas and oil scents used on me also smelt nice and relaxing. The venue is cute and the street its on is a nice walk.

A really comfy and cozy place in the heart of a cute neighbourhood. I had the massage today, which was absolutely fabulous and comes with a complimentary hot beverage. The room temperature was warm, and I had my choice of scented oil. The only downside was that the treatment was downstairs. (Yes, London loves its basements). As such during my treatment I heard the constant stomping of either moving chairs and people walking upstairs. That was the reason I did not give this place 5 stars.

An amazing experience from start to finish. I arrived 5mins early to a super warm welcome, and sat in their lovely waiting area. I was quickly collected by Lolo who did the most amazing facial in the comfiest seat I think I’ve ever sat in! Highly recommend! She also advised which LED light was best for my skin - I appreciated the guidance as had never had an LED facial before. I then had a pedicure in the next chair, which was somehow very relaxing despite the ticklish parts. Lolo was a true professional and if I came back I would definitely return to her. The atmosphere was lovely, not too busy not too quiet, but you feel extremely looked after every step of the way. When I was leaving, the manager spoke to me about my treatments and gave me a free sample which aligned with my skin needs. I walked out feeling thoroughly relaxed and happy. Would definitely return and recommend!

Had the best facial ever with Gabi. Her attention to detail, friendliness and expertise made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable. Will definitely be back! ❤️

I had a lovely facial! Erda was fantastic and it was so relaxing. My skin was glowing after the treatment and it was worth the money. The space was clean and I am looking forward to my next treatment. Thank you to Penny to recently taking the time to call me and sort out a situation that happened with my appointment.

I have stopped in a few times, cozy place with nice wood finishes. I only ordered a juice and cookie. The £4 juice came in a small bottle, not even freshly squeezed - pretty poor. The cookie was dry. I'll stop again and try the brunch, which seems decently priced and good options.

Yelp
I am in love with Cowshed treatments. The Ultimate Pedicure is frankly the most amazing treatment available. Sure enough you can pay half the price and get the same job done (remove calluses and nails painted), but if you consider all the sensational enjoyment cowshed's ultimate pedicure brings... (fresh cappucino with perfect froth, big fluffy pillow for you to hug and read books on, amazing scalp massage) it takes pedicure to a whole different level. Each time when I visit cowshed, it simply renews my mood for the rest of the week. Best pedicure in the world!

Yelp
I really want to like Cowshed since it's in my neighbourhood - but the service is so lacking that is puts a massive shadow on the parts that are brilliant on the spa. Today my experience became one annoyance after another for my 'Cowshed Pedicure.' I arrived a few minutes before my scheduled appointment time, and sat waiting patiently on the sofa. But fifteen minutes later, I was finally taken over to begin the pedicure yet reception seemed to be unaware that there was any delay what so ever. Upon being seated in front of the television sets, none of the headphones seemed to be working so it was another delay to find a set that was. I was offered a complementary beverage only to have it removed before I was done. Yes, another was offered but in a 'take away' cup - as if to say, "hurry up, we're trying to close." The woman who performed my pedicure was nice enough, but also didn't seem overly bothered to ask relavent questions - was I comfortable, how was the water temperature, and when it came to the leg massage she didn't even ask if the pressure was alright until she was done. It was TOO hard - and wonder if my legs will be bruised tomorrow as I'm rather fair and do bruise easily. While I think the quality of my pedicure will be good (fingers crossed!), and varnish won't rub off tomorrow, I was left on my own to pull the paper off my own toes and slip into my flip flops to walk home. No one offered to help despite quite a few staff sticking around to tidy up/prepare for the next day. Finally, upon paying, I was asked how my pedicure went and was I happy - I said "I didn't realise it was so late!" The receptionist gave a little laugh and no apology. When service lacks, it's hard to see the good. Next time I'll just pay less and go to Prim where I know they won't try to prove to be something their not, and certainly not pay the £55 for poor service.

Yelp
I am so, like, totally, like, in love with this place, yeah? Isn't everyone. Its always extremely busy when I walk by or visit for a treatment so get your bookings in early. The pedicures and manicures are definitely the best you can get in London without a shadow of a doubt and I've been around the (spa) block in my time! The staff are professional and friendly and the welcome complimentary mint tea always goes down a treat. I can happily sit in the pedicure chair with the headphones on watching friends on their little cute tvs (with a side portion of 'beauticans head' bobbing in front), with the big cushion on my lap, looking out over primrose hill pretending I'm in the rich millionaire wife club that my fellow chair neighbours are in. If only. For a slice of pure relaxation and to sample the high life in glam Primrose Hill then this is your place. I would spend every day in here if I could!

Yelp
Best Cowshed in London in my opinion (I believe it is the biggest as well!) and the service is always perfect. I also sometimes just pop in for a quick drink or light lunch, the café has a lovely atmosphere but does get busy on week ends. Obviously it is not to everybody's taste, but I enjoy the people watching and shabby chic vibe. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Love the shabby chic beauty of cowshed and the not too overpriced hour facial. Relaxing, well executed, and with great cowshed products. The seating area and cafe is nice to relax post-treatment and I loved that they weren't pushing products. A standard facial but one worth investing in.

Yelp
Mellow spot to grab a quick bite and coffee. Cafe/spa fusion. Didn't use the spa services. Good food, calm environment. A tad pricey, but that's London for ya.
