The beef birria was really, really delicious and my favorite of everything we tried. Food came out pretty quickly and very hot. Visited at the end of the night, so it was pretty empty.

Google
I was at the Wynwood location and it was great. Now my wife and wanted to try the one in Coral Gables but it was very disappointed. We ordered 2 margaritas $24, plus only one order of fish tacos, then to our surprise, they charged 20% not only on the drinks but on the food. Then an 18% tip out of the total. This was a plain rip off. I talk to Maria the Manager who most likely started as a Mgr the previous week, and I asked her what is that charge of 20%? She gave us the most nonsense answer, that’s because the margarita was prepared at the bar which is at the back of the restaurant. I said nobody told me that so I didn’t have the choice of ordering something else. Well, she charged it anyway, and even though she said the 20% is only on the drinks, they charged me also on the food. I will never come back here. I own my company and I always taking responsibilities. This Manager, Maria, for sure needs to be doing something else except managing the restaurant. No wonder the restaurant was empty. Thank you Leo the server for being so nice.

Google
Chips tasted like they were fried in a VERY OLD oil, tacos had a weird smell to it, the veggie tacos were good. Variety of sauces to dip your food in. There’s not really service here the employee just run the food to your table. The table tops were sticky. Through out my conversation with the employee ordering food, she didn’t smile once. Will not be returning

Google
It's good but could be better. Food wise, feels like they're skimping on the filling. Service wise, each employee behaves like they don't want to be there. Atmosphere wise, the tables & seats need to be cleaned to where they're not just free of debris but also not sticky. I'm in the area quite often but I won't return in a hurry to this spot.

Nathasha Rumbos

Google
Amazing atmosphere and customer service! Once I walked in I felt welcomed and they have an amazing happy hour . The margaritas are super yummy and the food too❤️ Andrea was super sweet too!

Carlos Felix Oviedo

Google
Fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. The tacos were packed with juicy meat and topped just right. Cool spot with a fun vibe—worth a visit to miracle mile if you’re craving tacos done right!

Travelanddine vm

Google
Im always looking for good Mexican spots and decided to give it a try , the tacos are not Mexican, they add shredded cheese wich is not authentic at all. Our tacos were cold and the meat wasn’t that good. If you aren’t Mexican you might like it. Definitely not coming back

Google
[Miami’s freshest Mexican street food experience.] Coyo Taco exudes an inviting charm from the moment you step in. The place boasts evident cleanliness, with ample illumination enhancing the vibrant blue walls, creating a chic and chill ambiance. But it's the food that steals the show – fresh and flavorful, with options for both meat lovers and vegetarians alike. I highly recommend trying "The Exquisite" for corn aficionados, a dish that bursts with delightful flavors. For vegetarians, the "Coliflor Burrito Bowl" is a must-try, offering a symphony of flavors that will tantalize your taste buds. Additionally, the Camaran Shrimp tacos are another standout option that shouldn't be missed. Whether you're indulging in the savory meat dishes or opting for the vegetarian delights, each bite at Coyo Taco is a culinary delight that promises to leave you craving for more. So if you're in Coral Gables and craving authentic Mexican flavors in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, look no further than Coyo Taco.

Yelp
Like every coyo taco in Miami, food was amazing. Love how fast service was and that it does not get as packed as the other ones. The outdoor area on giralda is great for a nice day. Def try the birria tacos!

Yelp
I came here with the wife last week and we loved it. Best place for a fast taco or burrito. My wife had the steak burrito and i had some tacos. Absolutely great!! The restaursnt is also very nice with a bar and music. Doesnt feel like you are next to a busy street. My only complain is that its a little pricey but you do get a lot of food. I would def come back here and this locstion is grest.

Yelp
Pregnant Jennifer had a tremendo craving for a burrrito. It's all I dreamed about. All I wanted. And when I went to my doctors appointment, it was next to this beautiful place.!! Better than taco Rico, this is the best quick Tex mex place in Miami!! My burrito was very very good!!! Everyone was very nice. They had unlimited salsa which is what I wanted as well. Definitely satisfied my cravings!!! I'm sad this wasn't around when I was in college. Would have been great! They have a bar and tequila tastings too!! I couldn't have - but definitely will in a year when I'm not pregnant anymore!!

valeska L.

Yelp
Great place in a lovely locating. Very clean and quick service!!!! Food looked and tasted amazing. Definitely will be coming back in the near future.

Kate C.

Yelp
This place is mostly tasty but the one thing that always stops me from eating is the soggy tortillas. Every time I order tacos here they completely break apart in my hand. It's very hard to enjoy a taco like that.

Yelp
Everything was exceptional , had the snapper tacos and were amazing ! The quesadilla was also very good , all sauces were on point , however , the only down thing was the elote which was given without butter or any special sauce , it was just a plain corn ! But overall food was very very good !

Yelp
I have been to this Coyo taco twice now. Once to dine outside and once to go. The outside patio on Giralda is such a vibe! The tacos at coyo taco are definitely flavorful but they are small. They have a great serve-yourself sauce bar with good sauce options! The chips and dips are always good and so are the margaritas and very decently priced drinks! They have great happy hour and daily deals here too to check out.

Yelp
Coyo is always the spot for a quick and delicious taco fix. So what better time to stop by than taco Tuesday? It doesn't hurt that certain tacos, like the chicken ones, are half off either! At coyo you're not going to for a fine dining experience, but your taste buds sure will thank you regardless. They've got so many different proteins, including some yummy vegetarian options (including cauliflower tacos that are part of the taco Tuesday happy hour!). We stopped by for a quick bite, but there's always the back room Tequila Bar that's not so secret anymore if you want some drinks and good music. If you do, don't forget to stop for a taco on the way out, it's a must! This visit my bf had the shrimp tacos (not pictured), pollo Al carbon (chicken) tacos, and a small guacamole. His reactions to each were different; he loved the shrimp tacos, guac was great, but he wasn't a fan of the tortilla the chicken tacos came on. It got very messy and more stayed in the tray than in the tacos. I had the grouper tacos, which were excellent! Extremely filling and I'm glad I didn't get a second order because these babies are big Tacos from coyo are normally small, two in an order and tacos can't be mixed-and-matched. Great for getting a few different types and sharing for sure! Drinks! We didn't drink, but they do have beer and margaritas to wash down the tacos. It's definitely a chill vibe whenever you walk in. Final take: if you're looking for great tacos, cool vibes, and/or want to sneak into a small inconspicuous bar check out Coyo Taco. Remember take a bite and let your tastebuds do a little dance!

Yelp
Service is quick and food is great. Love the daily deals. Casual atmosphere with good music. Outdoor seating on a nice day is a great option!
google avatar

Yelp
I came here on a Sunday around 1. It was fairly busy but there was still seating available, inside and out. There was a well sized line to the door, but it moved quickly. The cashier wasn't friendly, though. No smile; she just seemed kinda meh. The food took about 10 minutes and we set up our table with the different sauces and our drinks while we waited. We ordered 3 quesadillas and one kids meal with a quesadilla. Pricing was a bit too high, in my opinion. It was about $16 for the quesadilla, and while it was good, given the casual nature of the restaurant, I don't think it was worth $16. I expect a full service restaurant experience when I'm ordering a $16 quesadilla. I could go anywhere and get a quesadilla for cheaper with full service. The kids meals was the best deal. It came with a drink, a side, and some yummy cinnamon chips! Ambiance was cool, that I'll admit, and I love the bar/lounge option in the back - even though it was not open when I went- but I went to peek and it looked cool. Parking is another downside. You gotta hunt around and find street parking and pay for it, which is annoying and a turnoff for me. Overall, I guess this place was cool but it's not a place I'd go out of my way to visit.

Yelp
Amazingggg Birria tacos! Came in for taco Tuesday specials but had to try the Birria and it did not disappoint. I ordered Al pastor tacos and they were also great. But they forgot the red onion :( The pollo was disappointing, they were almost stone cold, not sure if they didn't have the right temperature working bc the other tacos were warm and perfect. The taco Tuesday specials were right next to the register and I was pointing to it as I was ordering. The cashier didn't ring in the promotional price. I had to ask her what was up with my total and say Taco Tuesday. It was awkward and she acted like she had the promo added the whole time. So you LITERALLY have to mention the special to get the price seems so bizarre if I'm looking and physically pointing at it. Music also blaring in the establishment theres no way you can dine in at the uncomfortable volume; so we sat outside. And for that 3 Stars.

Yelp
This place is so yummy !! Delicious tacos in the area. Amazing service by Esther !! Loved the options such a great variety and cool ambience.

Yelp
This place introduced me to some great, authentic tacos filled with high-quality marinated meat. I ordered chicken tacos and tacos el pastor. The fresh ingredients made this experience just an absolute delight. I also took advantage of the $5 margaritas. They had me feeling nice after just 2. I strongly recommend this gem.

Yelp
I love Coyo tacos. I came here early to order one of their tortas, I do find this location a little difficult to get to but honestly that's everywhere in Miami. The trouble is parking but if you do find parking in the gables, Coyo is your taco spot. The restaurant itself is festive and has great energy. The staff was so friendly and my to go order was complete in less than 5 min. I ordered a grilled chicken torta and it was delicious. Reminded me of the tortas back in Mexico City. I recommend their breakfast chilaquiles, not sure if this location has them but I remember the brickell location offering them and they were delish. All tacos are good and the salsa bar is my favorite!

Joanna D.

Yelp
The food is spicy, I asked for the spice on the side and did not receive it. However, I feel that the quesadilla was quite delightful. After finishing my meal I found myself needing to wash my greasy fingers. And I encountered a spillage of urine. To my disgust, I didn't even bother to look. Expecting a clean bathroom, you will not receive.

Yelp
I always try to give Coyo taco a go. But every time I feel like it doesn't quite have the wow factor. The service and the food is good. But it is not what you would expect from Coyo. Given that it's considered one of the best. I went for the bowl with Daring Chicken. It was average. I would recommend you go for the quesadilla instead. Excellent location on giralda though. Great for a quick bite. Nothing out of this world.
google avatar

Kaitlin S.

Yelp
Although we ate here for a quick bite on a Friday night, I thought it was amazing grab and go food. I really enjoy eating in this area of the Gables, as the stretch where no cars are allowed is just beautiful. Coyo lets you sit in that courtyard and even delivers your order to your table. I ordered the Carne Asada tacos, which were a little spicy, but still delicious. My boyfriend got the chicken bowl with the green cilantro rice, which was gluten friendly like most of their menu. The service was fast and even when the runner dropped off your meal, he catered to you the whole time. Would definitely eat here again.
google avatar

Mabelys H.

Yelp
I have never gone to this location physically, i usually do uberEats. I just ordered their coyo cobb salad. I think it's new? I've never seen it on the menu. Well, it was 10/10. Delicious! The dressing was amazing and tasty. I also ordered their esquite. It's a MUST when you order coyo.
google avatar

Alissa C.

Yelp
I've always loved Coyo but what the heck has happened?! Customer service is garbage. People taking your order are so rude. I have a seafood allergy, and the girl looked at me and goes ".....ok, and?" I was shocked at that response. Their prices have HIKED. $12 dollars for one taco is insanity for what they give you. My husband and I are upset at the money we spent here. There was no flavor. This place has gone down hill big time. I used to enjoy coming here but it seems like they don't care anymore about their customers.
google avatar

Catherine J.

Yelp
LOVE coyo, I was excited to try their bites on happy hour when I walked into the lounge where happy hour with "cocktails and bites" was advertised, when we were greeted with the manager who was sitting at one of the booths with a coworker. She introduced herself and suggested we ask the bar for the happy hour menu. We asked for the bites menu and to our surprise there was none. We asked the manager if that was correct and shyly agreed with the bartender. I suggested she change the sign as it was clearly false advertising. All she said was yes I agree. Not returning.

Yelp
This Coyo just can't seem to get the simplest things right. I got two orders of cauliflower tacos, chips, and guacamole to-go. From previous lessons learned, I double check the quality before heading home. The chip bag was half empty, I had to ask for a bit more chips and the main star- the cauliflower tacos were not cooked. The cauliflower was cold and hard to the touch. Usually cauliflower is warm and on the soft side. But, not here. I kindly let them know the food was cold and the cook immediately interjected and stated it's cold because of the sauce and pickled onions on it. That is definitely not the reason why cauliflower is raw and hard. They asked if I would like the order re-made and I said sure. I can see the cook angrily re-making the 4 tacos. She put them in the container messily and again the same problem. She re-made them the same way, and didn't cook the cauliflower better or longer therefore it was the same end result. She threw an excessive amount of onions as well. The manager got involved and apologized and was empathetic to the situation. She did defend the employee stating she didn't have any attitude that she was just "Latina" but I made it know it wasn't due to that but rather a bigger issue. The manager comped the order which I was grateful for but it doesn't make up for this and previous experiences. I ended up with just two tacos as the other two were thrown away. I don't know why I gave this coyo another chance. I was in the area and wanted veggie tacos but I know not to come back again. The staff really needs to work on customer service, especially the cook who can't admit to her wrongs and would rather lash out and blame the customer.

Yelp
These tacos are really good. Got the Al pastor, birria and grouper and was not disappointed in any one. Also love the salsa bar!
google avatar

Allen Y.

Yelp
2nd time coming to Coyo Taco but at a different location. The tacos birria is always my go-to and absolutely delicious. This is a must try for any fans of tacos. I always come here when I am in the Miami area. The sauce is amazing and you have to completely drench your taco to get the full experience. Have napkins ready!

Briana M.

Yelp
Hello, Daniela took my food order and was really helpful and food was good and came out quick.

Yelp
Amazing food and service!! The ambiance is nice warm and friendly. Very clean setting.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food! These quesadillas had plenty of Flavor and were served hot & prepared fresh. They were delicious. I liked the chicken and cheese quesadilla best! It was a perfect combo. We have been back a couple times and they have been consistent with food! Carne Asada Burrito was good. Had a LOT Of beans in it. Would order again but no beans or light beans! Felt like the entire burrito was mushed black beans. Prices are a little on the high side in my opinion, but location is beautiful and offers indoor or outdoor seating. Overall very impressed and will be back!
google avatar

Nathaly V.

Yelp
I've been to Coyo taco before but it was my first time coming to this location in coral gables. It was taco Tuesday so I decided to stop by here to have some tacos and I was craving some elote too. Was alittle disappointed because the elote was very watery and the tacos had barely any meat. There was more tortilla than meat. The margarita tasted great and the location is a lot bigger than the others which I liked. The meat was also not too flavorful.

Nicholas Y.

Yelp
Al pastor tacos were delicious. It had a salty and sweet flavor. I personally loved the mango habanero salsa to go with it.
google avatar

Antonio E.

Yelp
This is the spot for taco Tuesday! Delicious and great service. Come here on a weekly and it never disappoints.
google avatar

Shirley G.

Yelp
This was my first time trying this restaurant out. I ordered delivery via Uber eats so I can only comment on the food and it's presentation. I ordered the pollo Al carbon burrito bowl and I rate it a 3.5 out 5. The chicken was well seasoned but the portion size was too small. Also I received my meal cold. This restaurant is kind of on the expensive side and the portions don't match the price. Overall, the meal was okay. Nothing to drive out of my way to go get.
google avatar

Julie B.

Yelp
just ordered door dash and my chicken is raw. deep fried on the outside RAW on the inside. merry Christmas coyo. first and last order. I'm so disgusted.

Melissa C.

Yelp
Food is good and service is quick. There is a variety of options. We had the guacamole and tacos al pastor

Yelp
I freaking love Coyo Taco. What's not to love? First of all - the location is perfect. Right on Giralda you can make your taco dreams come true. When it comes to the food though my personal obsession is the carne asada quesadilla. It is absolutely delicious and a huge portion - so you can share or eat it all if you're hungry af. I love their guac, their grouper tacos and margs. Another one of their great menu items are their salads. This is not your regular "taco salad" - these are legit. Huge bowls filled with greens, pico de gallo, pumpkin seeds and topped with your choice of protein. I suggest the pulpo,it's fantastic. During the pandemic, Coyo Taco was one of the first spots to do gallons of margaritas to go, talk about giving the people what they want and need. And last but not least I could not finish this review without professing my love for the Coyo Back room. Tucked away in the back of the restaurant you enter their back bar, filled with tequila, dancing space, and all the reggaeton music of your dembow dreams. When this location opened a few years ago, you could literally find me here every weekend for months. I recently celebrated my birthday in the back room and the staff was fantastic, music amazing, and drinks on point. I totally recommend Coyo for a night out, and love that you can take a dancing break and chow down on some tacos if you need a tequila induced snack break.

Yelp
Love me some Coyo Tacos so decided to check out this location. Love where it's at. Super cute location with other restaurants and a nice outdoor sitting area. Area has great vibes on Friday and Saturday nights. As for Coyo, maybe I came on an off day. The person that took my order was nice gave us our beer and cups for drinks. We went and sat down to wait for our food. As we waited a big party came in and got their order taken. We also went to fill our cups and get some yummy salsa from the salsa bar. What a mess! First of all there were 6 cups and 20 lids and the cups were thrown around. Didn't look too hygienic to even want to use. There was a salsa mess everywhere. Some one had not been to this station to attend to it in a while and it showed. Meanwhile there were workers just standing there. Then everyone was getting their food, including the big party that came in after and us nothing! My husband had to go ask twice about our tacos. They obviously had forgotten about our order and started making it them. We waited a while before we finally started getting our food. We decided to go eat outside, because it was a beautiful night. As for our tacos.... The cochinita pibil taco which is my husband's favorite barely had any meat in and it was bland. The grouper taco was good, but the size of the fish was small compared to other Coyos. The hongos taco was really yummy. The plantain taco was good, but the plantain was Gras. It tasted like the frozen sweet plantains they sell at the grocery store. I love Coyo Taco so will definitely give this location another chance if I'm I. The neighborhood. Hopefully I went on an off day and next time I come I will be pleasantly surprised.
google avatar

Cam E.

Yelp
There is nothing special about this place. The ambiance is ok, there's not much character to it. The tacos are very small and expensive for what you get. There also isn't much variety so only come here if you want to eat tacos. The service is efficient, and food comes quick.
google avatar

Natalia O.

Yelp
I love Coyo! From their Brickell location to their Wynwood location, Coyo is a staple here in Miami! Sure, the food isn't authentic Mexican food that you may find deep in homestead, per se, but they do serve amazingly tasty food that I would not pass up! Their bowls are my favorite. Food is always fresh and the ambiance is relaxed and fun. If you're in town, definitely visit Coyo!
google avatar

George M.

Yelp
Alright alright alright. I never got into the hype of Coyo. I remember when they first opened in Wynwood and the lines were immediately out the door, I scoffed. I came here recently and I got to admit the tacos were delicious. Really freakin' delicious. Made our order, didn't take long to head back into the line to re-up our tacos fix. Ended up throwing down about 24 of those little tasty bastards. Full disclosure, we went on a Tuesday so they were half off otherwise they might not have tasted as good. You know what I mean But the half off deal works 'cause now I want to go and try other stuff
google avatar

Areen H.

Yelp
This review is for their tacos..and quesadillas, and tortas--basically everything but what I got this last time, as pictured (we were being a healthy girl this day okay). But do it right and don't be a dummy like me ordering a salad (plus a brew cause balance). Anyway, although a local chain, Coyo never fails as a go-to spot for seriously delicious tacos in my book--be it lunchtime or for late night eats. Name me a better spot, other than Taquiza obvs.
google avatar

Blanca M.

Yelp
I've been to Coyo a few times. Tacos I've had so far have been good. This last visit I ventured to try to birria tacos (one of the pricier items on the menu). It was very good, but of course being only two tacos you're always left wanting more. Not sure I would order them again, as I rather not pay that for only two little tacos, even if they were tasty. The lime seemed a bit off, no juice in it at all and unfortunately my friend's taco bowl made them sick--and they're threatening never to return again.
google avatar

Jorge P.

Yelp
Food is okay, not great. Way overpriced, with 2 tacos costing ~ $10. But the drinks in the back are insanely priced. Then they add 20% gratuity and charge tax on the whole thing. Spent $75 on 4 drinks. Fuck that.
google avatar

Sia K.

Yelp
My husband said these tacos looked really good and he was hyped about this place. We love good Mexican food and this place is not it. Over priced and quantity and quality was not there at all. I rather go to chipotle. Very bland and dry and not flavorful. We eat a lot of different place mexican food and this was not good at all. I would not come here again. The place is super nice and pretty and clean just not worth your money.
google avatar

Codi S.

Yelp
We randomly stopped in to grab a quick bite to eat. The staff were super nice and the food was awesome! The back room was closed for a private party but it looked like a cool spot. We will go back again! The quesadilla with birria was awesome! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Annabelle C.

Yelp
I love coyo for a small bite to eat. I love the tacos and the flavor they have. I always get the Al pastor it's my favorite out of all the other options. The food is very fast, the service is always amazing. Their taco Tuesday is definitely a great deal and you can get a lot for a very little amount.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
Friday night dinner here. The music inside was pretty loud and we couldn't hear each other so decided to grab a table outside. You order at the counter and then someone brings your order to you. The margarita was pretty good. The tacos were okay. They were honestly kind of bland even after putting lemon and sauce on them. Not sure if we'll be back.

Michael B.

Yelp
Great ambiance and great food! I really enjoy the hanging lights and good prices. Definitely would come back and recommend. Daniela's service was sublime

Adolfo G.

Yelp
This place is perfect for a date night! The service is quick, atmosphere is clean and has great hispanic music, and the tacos are out of this world! Highly recommend! Our server, Daniela, was great!

Arielle B.

Yelp
Good plant based options and the location is perfect walking distance from everything! Definitely recommend:)
google avatar

Alejandra M.

Yelp
The Quesadillas are SO BIG and YUMMY ! Definitely recommend ! Parking can be tricky since you have to find street parking because it's located in a pedestrian street . During lunch it can be busy since a lot of local people go there for a quick lunch . The wait time is very minimal . 1.you order 2.you Pay 3. Find a place to enjoy your meal 4.sit and your food is brought to you almost IMMEDIATELY ! The guac and chips are good too ,my quesadilla was At night it's a party !! In the back there's a bar and a DJ with a great variety of music . It's LIT ! and ladies on Wednesday it's LADIES NIGHT !!

Diego P.

Yelp
great food, better people. Cant begin to express how good the food is. I walked in here and was greeted with music and smiles. The mexican culture definitely vibrant throughout the restaurant. i loved the butrito carne asada alhambra (best burrito ive ever had in my life)
