"Coyo Taco, one of Miami’s favorite taco spots, has two locations at Drv Pnk Stadium. It offers a variety of tacos, burritos, chips and salsa, quesadillas, churros, beer, wine, and margaritas." - Laine Doss

It has been years since I wanted to try this place. Each time I made an attempt to make it, The Wynwood location was always packed. It is so pleasant to have the Fort Lauderdale location. So much more relaxed for sure. I understand the hype now, the tacos are sooo good. Their service and promptness is excellent. I can’t wait to go back. All the tacos are excellent.

Ordered for pickup for lunch. The tacos were okay, honestly the size of the taco is for a baby. That takes away from the whole experience of the food. I told the lady that I’m picking up and she prompted to talk in hand signals since she didn’t know English. I was done with my tacos in precisely two bites each. $12 for two baby tacos is kinda insane tho.

We stopped in for Taco Tuesday, hoping for a fun bite, but it was a bit of a mixed experience. The tacos were good, but the prices felt a bit steep for what you get. They’ve got a bar and both indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t very welcoming; the person taking our order didn’t greet us or seem too interested in offering suggestions or talking in general. Overall, the food was solid, but the combination of high prices and lackluster service makes it unlikely I’ll return.

This was our first time visiting this spot. While traveling from Canada, we wanted to experience authentic Birria tacos, and they did not disappoint. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful!

Coyo Taco was really good. We enjoyed both the Fried Grouper (Grouper Frito) and Cauliflower (Coliflor) tacos.

Last night, I had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional customer service at CoyoTaco, and Cesar was the star of the evening. From the moment we walked in, he greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel like we were the most important guests in the restaurant. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he took the time to explain various options, offering personalized recommendations that hit the mark. Cesar’s attentiveness throughout the meal was impeccable. He checked in just the right amount, ensuring our drinks were topped off and we had everything we needed without being overbearing. What really stood out, though, was his genuine enthusiasm for his work—he made us feel like part of the CoyoTaco family, and that’s a rare quality in a server. When one of our dishes arrived slightly off, Cesar quickly took care of the issue with professionalism and a positive attitude, ensuring we were completely satisfied. The level of care and attention to detail he provided turned an already great meal into an unforgettable experience. Thanks to Cesar, I will definitely be returning to CoyoTaco soon, and I highly recommend anyone visiting to ask for him. It’s clear that he’s passionate about providing outstanding service!

Google
I contacted Coyo Taco for Super Bowl party catering. I had gone to an event they once catered and it was fantastic. Dealing with Alicia was easy and she always promptly responded. She and her crew arrived with a taco bar for 50 and the food was hot, fresh, and flavorful. The toppings were plentiful and so well organized. Everyone at the party thoroughly enjoyed and I forgot to take a picture of the set up! We had leftovers too. I would not hesitate to recommend Coyo Taco for your next event.

Google
Always a good option for either dine-in or take out if craving Mexican. I've really been enjoying their quesadillas lately especially with plantains inside. Guacamole and salsa is always delicious too. They have a croqueta taco available for the month of March at all locations + on Door Dash that is super flavorful. Worth trying!

Colleen K.

Yelp
AMAZING super recommend! The Alambra tacos and the micheladas are amazing. The staff, service and ambience are also great and the happy hour doesn't disappoint :)

Niza C.

Yelp
Tacos are delicious but the wait is long on busy weekends. Still worth it! Def one of the best taco spots in Wynwood

Yelp
This Coyo Taco on Las Olas Boulevard is part of a Mexican chain that delivers a vibrant and authentic street food experience. The food itself is a standout, with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The tacos, particularly those with cochinita pibil and carne asada, are consistently excellent, and the guacamole is a must-try. The menu offers a good variety of options of drinks, from well margaritas to more exotic flavors as well. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, reflecting the casual, upbeat vibe of a traditional taqueria. The location on Las Olas provides a prime spot for drinks and after dinner stops afterwards to many local buzzing bars. The colorful decor adds to the festive ambiance and outdoor seating is a treat during the Florida cool months. Service at Coyo Taco is quick and staff is friendly and helpful- overall a vibrant and authentic feel, contributing to the overall positive dining experience.

Yelp
I ordered a birria salad bowl and was pleasantly surprised. You get a pretty large portion, including a lot of protein. The meat was nice and tender, and they have a sauce bar to add additional flavor. I also like the fast casual restaurant vibe, especially with the downtown lunch rush. They have daily specials that make it even more affordable. Overall, a solid lunch spot.

Yelp
I love coyo taco. Always a great place to start or end the night out!! Tacos and margaritas - who could complain? I love how quick it is. Mix of fast but still feels like a sit down restaurant. The las olas location is perfectly located - very central. And the service was good. Everyone was nice. We ordered some margaritas, a quesidilla and some tacos. All amazing!!! I will def be coming back here!!!

Lisa D.

Yelp
5 star happy hour spot, just off Las Olas. The server was super friendly and helpful. Ordered happy hour chips and guacamole, tacos (plantain and chicken), and margaritas. The guac isn't my favorite favorite, it could use more heat and salt... but I've gone back and gotten it again, and it's good enough for me! The tacos were very good. You get a nice serving of 2 tacos with each order. I had to eat the plantain tacos with a fork - they were packed full! Yum! Also, check out the salsa bar inside. Margs were great. We sat outside and I like the casual outdoor bar and picnic tables vibe. This place is not busy, which is so surprising because the prices are the best in town. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Abbey S.

Yelp
YUM! Had a late evening snack in between stopping at other local bars. Ordered the carne asada burrito and al pastor tacos. Both were mouth watering fantastic! We sat right at the bar and ordered our food there as well. Such a fun vibe with the lights and open seating concept. They have taco Tuesday specials and happy hour during the week.

Yelp
If you live in SoFlo, you've probably been to Coyo. Coyo was one of the first taco shops that started offering elevated tacos in South Florida. While they might not be "traditional", their tacos are creative and flavorful. Of course, they do have the classics like Al Pastor, burritos, quesadillas, among others. I checked out their happy hour offerings at the Ft Lauderdale location and it didn't disappoint. Select Tacos and Burritos are around 7 bucks. FYI, the taco comes in 2s. Guac and Chips are 5 bucks, beer and wine 50% off plus select cocktails are 10 bucks. We pretty much tried everything on the HH menu. Their Al Pastor and Pollo Carbon tacos were delicious but surprisingly, my favorite was the Plantain Tacos. Something about the sweet and salty taste that got me hooked. For drinks, I highly recommend their new Michelada but my all-time favorite cocktail is the Chupacabra. Also, get the Elote and Quesadilla if you're still hungry or with a group. Good for sharing. Always been a big fan of Coyo since they opened the first one in Wynwood. I've been to Coral Gables as well but I this Ft Laud location is the only one that has full craft cocktail bar. Will be back again for HH.

Jeff J.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. The service was pretty good the person who was taking our order was very knowledgeable and helpful. When we were describing what we wanted he knew exactly what it was. Now the star of the show was definitely the tacos themselves. Probably one of the better tasting tacos I've had in a while. Especially the shredded pork with the pickled onions. The flavors were hitting. And the Al Pastor was also very good. Prices were kinda steep but for how good the tacos were I get it.

Chafeeza B.

Yelp
Coyo taco is a great addition to the block. The first three tacos on the menu are 50% on Tuesday. And the margaritas are only $5 you can't go wrong. There's an indoor and outdoor seating option but parking is limited. Bring the gang and your pups. The service is quick. The ambiance is cool. I would recommend.

Mishi V.

Yelp
So happy to find this location. The one in Wynwood is my favorite and I'm happy to find one so much closer that has the same level of quality. Quesadillas are a go to, perfectly seasoned and delicious. Highly recommend

Yelp
2.5 Stars due to our Last Visit recently. As we have been here with a Great Outcome, even Ordered Delivery after our First Visit then most recently we decided to go back on a day off and were Greatly Disappointed. Located in a Tucked Off Area between Broward Blvd and Las Olas. Staff has been Accommodating with a Transaction to be made on each visit. The Layout of the Restaurant Provides Outdoor & Indoor Seating with an Open-Air Bar along with Interior Tables (Both LowTop & HighTop), a Serve Yourself Salsa Bar, and Open Kitchen. On Both Occasions Visiting the Location we have Ordered the same Tacos being an Al Pastor & Carne Asada. The Salsa Bar Adds a Great Desire if made right. On the Last Visit we did not find much to be Desired on the Salsa Bar. None of the Salsas were Spicy or of Any Taste and the Tacos we Ordered were Extra Greasy. This was Not the Scenario on the First Visit.

Sophia R.

Yelp
The food here is so good and the service was great. The beef birria tacos are amazing!!

Taryn C.

Yelp
Stopped in coyo for lunch and had the grouper tacos, it was super good, and was a good value for the price! They also had some 3 taco special going on which was great. Received our food in no time, and enjoyed the environment as well.

Carmen C.

Yelp
A little cute location, dog-friendly and good eats. It's not a fancy location but a cozy one with a friendly staff. Go try it out.

Mar K.

Yelp
So good! We ordered the steak tacos and they were delicious! The elote was really good too and of course can't forget the churros for dessert Service was great and the place was clean and inviting as always. We love this location

Jonathan C.

Yelp
This was our last stop for dinner before leaving Florida. We tried the carne asada and pollo al carbon burritos, both of which were generously filled and toasted. The pescado salad bowl was great as well - very generous portions of fish, guac, and mixed greens with a spicy kick to it. We came on a Sunday, but they have some really great weekday and happy hour specials that I'm hoping to come back and try next time!

Chardinal B.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere! I had the chicken bowl. It was very filling. Be specific about what you want when reading the menu. Chose your protein.

Ruben T.

Yelp
This Coyo Taco location on Las Olas is amazing! Service is always great and I can eat every single taco they have. It's a problem. Manager and bartender are very sweet and super helpful. Will always be coming back here!

Yamila D.

Yelp
This was one of our stops on the cycle bar tour.. Its really nice in there and spacious. The bar has outside and inside seating so if weather permitting you can sit outside. The drinks were good and the food was also good. Well I really only had a salad. You really can't go wrong with that. The service was great as everyone was really nice and they delivered the food to the table with a smile and was constantly checking on us to see if we needed anything else.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Popped in on a taco Tuesday. They have a half off deal on a select few tacos. These are authentic tacos so don't expect what Ud get from a Taco Bell! But iykyk the were fresh and delicious. I also got elotes which were a little salty for me me still enjoyed the food and had a good experience. U walk up and Oder your food and they deliver it to your table. Inside is quaint but give me cafeteria vibes.

Taylor F.

Yelp
Service absolutely S U C K S S S!!!! Went to this place with my boyfriend on Valentine's Day. We came after eating & drinking at YOLO next door to use the restrooms and realized we should get a shot to top off our night! When ordering with the bartender, we were asked to show our IDs as we both look young and are since we both just turned 21 this year. The bartender checks our IDs and starts telling us that he can't accept it because my boyfriend's "hair is cut off in the picture". This makes so sense to me...firstly we ordered one shot FOR ME so i don't know why his ID was checked ?? and he tells me since he's suspicious about my boyfriends Identification that he can't serve me. This bartender is so lucky i already had a couple drinks in my system and was ending the night because if this was my first drink i would have made a fit and called the police!! He explained they can't scan our Identifications because they don't have a scanner! I'm sorry but i am a server in Coral Springs and i check people's IDs DAILY!! i will definitely will be reporting this else where and i want to warn people not to dine here! If you want a good experience please go anywhere else legitimate because the bartender has no idea wtf is going on

Luis A.

Yelp
Mexican chopped salad was amazing!! The tacos al pastor chicken and carne asada were great!

Carol K.

Yelp
A street taco place just steps off the tony Las Olas Blvd? Some things continue to surprise me! Coyo Taco is just a half block north of Las Olas but you would think it was miles away. The metal bar stools are simple yet functional, there are picnic tables out front you can eat your food on, there's basic seating inside, you can order from the bartender or the window in the back and there are no frills (even plates seem to be a missing item as people just eat the tacos from the taco holders on metal trays). Want a non alcoholic beverage? The bartender hands you a glass and sends you to the self serve machine in the corner. Same is true of the various salsas that they have- go find the one you want and bring it to your table. The food comes up fast and I was surprised at how good it was! We ordered a range of tacos- the carne asada and the shrimp were my favs. Know if you order the grouper taco that there are some really hot jalapenos in the toppings! Yowza! My least fav taco was the pork campechano which had pork rinds on it and something about the crunchiness of that didn't work for me. We were there during happy hour so my margarita was half off ($4.50 versus $9). And all in for 8 filling tacos, guac and chips and drink our bill was about $60. So the next time you are on Las Olas and are looking for a place that won't break the bank, check out Coyo Taco. Pretty good food at a reasonable price for this neck of the woods!

Alejandro O.

Yelp
Awesome experience here! Birria tacos and plantain tacos with added birria were the move! Also tried adding birria to one of the salads and it was phenomenal! Isha our bartender was helpful and very friendly with the recommendations! Will definitely be back here soon!

Vanessa V.

Yelp
We got the steak tacos , they were really nice, the steak was very well made , the tortillas are delicious. The corn was very nice but quite spicy, but overall I had a very good experience, the service was very nice and helpful.

Natalie B.

Yelp
The food was good the service amazing and the ambiance is always nice love this place

Jovian F.

Yelp
Coyo Taco is that girl! Everytime my belly gets to rumbling and I open my UberEats app, I know immediately that I am ordering for this establishment. Affordable and tasty and the restaurant is always clean.

tHiS k.

Yelp
The food is always great and hot when it comes out, quick to come out, I love the Carne asda and the AL pastor. Service is great, very friendly and helpful. Ambiance is very nice, love the designs and the color and how everything is correlated and related to each other. Have been coming for a few years to this location and Wynwood and always enjoy it.

Yelp
Sven Vogtland and Alan Drummond, co-founded Coyo Taco in the Wynwood section of Miami in 2014. Wynwood has launched a lot of businesses like Zak the baker and Panther Coffee. Vogtland and Drummond along Gabriela Chriboga also opened Miami's first food hall, 1-800-Lucky, in Wynwood in November of 2018. The Wynwood Coyo location is so popular that even Barack Obama stopped by when he was in town. They have plans to open 150 locations all over the country and internationally. The Ft Lauderdale Coyo Taco opened in February of this year on Las Olas Boulevard. They don't have a lot so you are left paying for street parking or in the parking garage. I met my friend here for a Sunday lunch of some tasty tacos and a limited edition sweet dessert. The friendly staff serve up the Coyo menu that features of variety of beef, chicken, fish, and pork street tacos along with burritos, bowls, salads, tortas, and quesadillas. They also have a bar serving alcohol and a salsa bar so you can sauce up your food and chips. For my lunch I ordered the birria tacos, made with a stewed beef. You get two in an order for $11 and they were small but flavorful. I also added a pineapple Jarritos as one does. As good as lunch was I was saving room for their special Loco Coco Taco collaboration with Frice Ice Cream located in the Citadel Food Hall in Little Haiti. Following the announcement that the Choco Taco by Klondike would be discontinued breaking hearts everywhere, Coyo Taco along with Frice decided to create their own tribute version, a waffle cone folded into the shape of a taco that's been filled with homemade cinnamon ice cream and dulce de leche syrup, and then partially covered in a chocolate magic shell. While this was an expensive ice cream treat ($9), it was chef made gourmet with top quality ingredients and it was a hefty size making it definitely worth the splurge. While more expensive than other taco restaurants, what brings me back to Coyo is their creativity. I hope they keep it coming.

Ethan K.

Yelp
First of all, the service of Eric was fantastic. Secondly, the tacos were good, but the birria was great! I loved the consume it came with. We will definitely be on a cool Florida night in the near future.

Chad E.

Yelp
Good tacos, love the salsa bar. The birria is tremendous! Highly recommend this place. Have not tried the cocktails but want to do so. Have only enjoyed takeout but a good experience with them always. Only downside is that it is a bit pricy for what it is. Enjoy!

Mike H.

Yelp
Food was amazing as well as the service. Eric and John were amazing each time we've been here! Trust me a table or the bar is where to be!

Katie G.

Yelp
Wow! What an amazing time at coyo! Blown away at the hospitality, food, and scenery. I literally need to get the word out to the girls in Fort Lauderdale. Peace out coya TILL NEXT THURSDAY!!

Moriah P.

Yelp
We love coming here! The food is always really fresh and the kitchen staff are very friendly. This is perfect for a quick bite to eat on Las Olas!

Kristen N.

Yelp
Coyo was a bar stop on the cycle party with a group for a friends birthday. Not everyone in our party was eating, but it was great because you can order and pay at the counter (separate from the bar) on your own, then they bring it to you. So it makes a great happy hour type of place for groups who don't all arrive at the same time! The decor was sexy (is Mexican glam a thing?) and those cauliflower tacos, SOOOO GOOOOOOOD! It was easy to order and gluten free. Plus the cheese was actually melted- not something I usually see on a taco. I really enjoyed it! The guac was tasty as well. They have a small condiment bar for hot sauces as well. They had a few deals posted on the window; I'm assuming those will change from time to time. But overall, great addition to Fort Lauderdale's financial district in the old Suviche location.

Elvira C.

Yelp
Went in for lunch today, great customer service and in a trendy spot in downtown Fr. Lauderdale. Food was good and had good flavor. The only thing I would change next time I order take away is I will request that they double up on the tortilla shells or give me 2 extra on the side. By the time I got back to the office the tacos got soggy and fell apart as I was trying to grab one out of the box. Other than that food was fresh and tasty. I will be back!

Chassity B.

Yelp
I've never had anything bad from here. Excuse my half eaten food in the photos.. it was so good I didn't remember photos until it was too late. I got the birria tacos.. delicious. The plantain tacos are different but so good also. If you're ever in the heart of wynwood definitely give Coyo a try

Bev S.

Yelp
It's in a tucked away area in downtown las olas . There is a parking garage across from this location with Mexico convenience as well as side street parking. I ordered the chicken burrito bowl with Esquite on the side. Esquite- basically boiled corn with the sauce on it ... very little sauce and super unimpressed. Burrito bowl- I was super excited to order this because I enjoyed the location that is located in Wynwood. However I was deeply annoyed because as soon as I took my first bite I noticed that the rice was undercooked and The mashed black beans had no flavor as well. The chicken was okay . Margarita- I ordered a margarita to go along with my food. At the margarita came out fairly fast however it tasted like sprite lemon soda with a touch of Tahin on the side . Super disappointed Service - the service was fast and we got our food in a timely manner

Marilu F.

Yelp
It's been awhile, but I remember one day walking on Las Olas and seeing a coming soon sign. The sign was for Coyo Taco and I kept thinking hmm, this is bound to get interesting. Years ago, I had gone to the original Coyo Taco in Wynwood and all I remembered were a lot of churros that I didn't really get to enjoy as I sprained my ankle badly. I figured enough time had passed since then, and well, let's get real - I wanted to see if this place lived up to the so-called hype. I should add to that this is near where I work, and my coworkers and I are always looking for new lunch options! Anyway, time passed and I saw the sign they officially were opening up on Valentine's Day. Consequently, I told my coworker we should go when the dust settled. We went today and were a bit confused as to how this place worked. I mean, they have both indoor and outdoor seating, and people were sitting at the bar and at the tables. Going in, too, you had a cashier. Needless to say, we fumbled about and had no idea whether to sit and get table service or order at the counter. Turns out we went to the counter and they told us we could either order there or when sitting at the bar. The bar looked nice, so we went and sat there. The bartender, Andres, immediately attended us and gave us menus. We more-or-less knew what we would order. Tacos, of course! My coworker ordered both the pollo al carbón tacos and the beef birria tacos. I had the carne asada tacos as I had a huge craving for them, as well as an elote. Everything was delicious, but the portions for the tacos were atypical. I'm used to seeing three tacos in an order, not two, especially for the price. $10ish or so for a couple of tacos? Meh, me no likely. We then went to town and got two orders of churros. These churros were massive with both caramel and chocolate sauce. They did take awhile to get though. Service was a bit slow, but this is just opening week. We're sure they'll eventually be fully prepped for the lunch crowd. For now... my final thoughts are simply.... A little pricey, a little trendy - Coyo Taco will do just fine in Fort Lauderdale.

Rebecca G.

Yelp
holy guacamole! Beat tacos in town or state of Florida. well seasoned and the service is very friendly. The Bartender "Eric" is a total vibe. Guacamole is the best.

Adrianne H.

Yelp
Amazing Birria tacos. I've had a lot of 'versions' but these are very traditional and tasty. Highly recommend getting the Chupacabra cocktail - with just Mezcal if you like it Smokey. Tati was a great bartender / hostess. I will return!

Melissa C.

Yelp
Drop everything and go get tacos here right now. Seriously some of the best tacos I've ever had, hands-down. Hand-made corn tortillas, and amazing flavor. The tacos come in orders of 2; the 2 tacos with a side of chips and guacamole were enough for me, but the guys in our group ordered 4 tacos. I had the pollo Al carbone and they were next-level amazing. They also have Mexican coke which, if you've never had it before, is made with real sugar cane instead of corn syrup and is way better than American coke. The chips and guac order was enough for 4 people to share (even though they told us it was only good for 2). The one downside: orders of chips are tiny. They sell them in small paper bags and we had to get more for an adequate chip-to-guac ratio.

sandry s.

Yelp
my favorite place for lunch and dinner ordering online for lunch makes it really easy and quick pick up always ready to im able to fully enjoy it and eating in is always great, clean good vibes, everyone is always there to quickly assist, everything is honestly good, im mexican and this has my approval for best mexican food camaron tacos and churros are the best duo that never fail

Stefanie H.

Yelp
Bartender is amazing!! Eric was great and provided so Information on the area! Go to coyo taco!! It's soooooooo good!

Tony R.

Yelp
They want to charge me $3.50 plus tax plus tip for a cup of ice after I've ordered a meal. The food wasn't even good. The $9 (two tacos) was oily and the tortilla shell tasted stale and old. Just a junky place.

Melissa P.

Yelp
Located a block off of Las Olas (on 4th Ave in-between 2nd and Las Olas) you can find Coyo Taco. Lot's or seating inside and out. There is also a bar. I tried the Conchinita Pibil tacos (shredded pork) I took them to go and they came in a cute little box with a divider to keep the tacos nice and neat. But once you pull then out it is messy. The tacos are pretty small, but stuffed. I enjoy them and they cost $8.50. I also splurged on chips, because they don't come with any. The chips were crunchy and the were salted. They cost $2.00. There is a salsa bar. They provide very small cup for the salsa, too small. The regular salsa was pretty boring. The Chipotle and Mango Habinero were my favorites. I will definitely try them again. Enjoy.

Jeff M.

Yelp
Eric was awesome! Service was incredible, he has an infectious personality and made great menu recommendations! He had the experience wonderful. Thank you!

Chantel D.

Yelp
Came here with a few of my friends on a Saturday afternoon. We sat at the bar outside. It wasn't busy at all. I ordered the frozen watermelon Red Bull margarita. 8/10 I enjoyed it. Didn't taste the Red Bull though but all in all it still a good drink. I ordered the elote corn and steak quesadilla. The corn was 8.5/10 and the quesadilla was a 8/10. My friends said they preferred wynwood location but I wouldn't mind coming back here to save the drive. My bill was $35
