Cozo Grill

Wonderful & delicious neighborhood vegan food cart. This family cares so much about the community of St. Johns, and will turn no one away for lack of funds. They also operate a neighborhood food pantry around the block and are an integral part of advocating for food security in the St. John's community. Their food is satiating, cozy, and approachable which is sometimes lacking for vegan menus. My introduction to their food was their BLT which rips! I'm also a huge fan of their gluten free onion rings and allllll of their sauces. Everyone you interact with is an authentic, caring person that really cares about the people they feed, no matter their net worth. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place.

Awesome service this morning from this cool little vegan food truck. I walked up early as they were opening and the guy was super nice and told me about the breakfast sando. Immediately, yes. Thanks for making my morning great!

Cozo Grill is hands down, the best vegan/ gluten free/ non canola oil, food pod that offers fryed veggies. The owner was eloquent and kind. I asked for an onion/ mushroom split and she was very accommodating. It was all delicious but I’ve never had deep fried gluten free mushrooms that good before. Krispy on the outside with vegan gluten free Panko and perfectly tender and flavorful on the inside without being too watery. I hope this food pod has a chance to expand.

Absolutely stoked in finding this place! First time hubby has had onion rings since finding out he was wheat allergic. The fried mushrooms are some of the best I've ever had. I had the Reuben, it was sensational. There was so much flavor. Hubby got the bacon burger, it was amazing. A whole vegan and allergy friendly menu. The owner was very polite, friendly, and food excited. Definitely looking forward to coming back. Absolutely will be back.

I've been on the hunt for my new favorite veggie burger in Portland and this one is a definite contender for spot #1. I didn't even remember to take a picture of it until I was halfway through it was so good. The patty is really hearty & full of flavor and the seitan bacon added this amazing smokiness (it even looked a bit like real meat which threw me for a loop). Crunchy butter lettuce, yummy pretzel bun...I'm hungry thinking about it. I also loved the shoestring curly fries and house made garlic aioli! I'll definitely be back.

Who doesn't like curly fries? This was a great vegan experience. The Chicken(less) Sammie was pretty amazing. Oh and the salad was very tasty as well. I cant wait to go back and try more.

The partners Mitch and Hannah made me an amazing BLT - full of flavor, it had a garlicky aioli that was perfect! The fries, onion rings AND fried mushrooms are all tasty. Mitch was very friendly and I love their community program to subsidize those that can’t afford the menu prices. No one walks away hungry. Love this place! 100% I will be back.

This place would be perfect if they brought back the Rueben not made with slices of tofu. Man, it was sooooo good and now I've tried loving the tofu version better but it just doesn't work. It's sloppy, doesn't taste like a Rueben. Really really hope there's a way to bring back the og Reuben!

We got some onion rings and fried mushrooms. It's hard to find vegan onion rings so I was more than excited. The sauces were each so delicious too. I will be back to try more. The owner of the cart is so nice and friendly! Truly a gem!

Very delicious vegan food at this Portland foodcart. I have a dairy allergy so it's nice to have the ability to eat a fake cheeseburger once and awhile that isn't greasy. Anytime I'm in the St. John's area, I go here. Maybe I should try other food... but then I see Cozo Grill and I go here every time. You won't be disappointed. Since everything is handmade on the spot, you may have to wait 10-15 minutes but it's worth it, I promise!

Vegan "cheese steak" sandwich is perfection. Great textures, spicy somehow, hoagie roll is fresh, even the "cheese" was delish.

The classic burger was delicious and the service was awesome. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area!

Their onion rings were to die for! The coating is stellar and the garlic aioli and homemade ranch are stellar! These are a must!

I would post a photo of the food, but it's so good I devour it immediately. This is my favorite place in St. John's right now. I end up coming about once a week because I can't resist the BLT. Being a New Yorker and vegan, it's already hard to come by or even make my own really good vegan BLT. My standards are very high for that. They make the best one I've ever had period. Everything is delicious here, and they are so kind. Been meaning to give them a review for a couple months. Please don't ever leave St. John's!

Seitan BLT on sourdough. Tastes better than the real deal! Black cherry soda is a nice touch too.

I have to write this review while my vegan BLT is still fresh in my mouth. This sando is amazing, I love it more than any meat BLT. If I ever get invited to a celebrity costume party, I'm dressing as this sandwich because it's a STAR!

Many places advertise gluten free but are actually not because of cross contamination. This place has a dedicated GF fryer and the onion rings were delicious! They were knowledgeable about their ingredients and offered GF buns for no additional charge. GF, vegan heaven.

AMAZING VEGAN FOOD!! located in a food truck court with many vegan options, but cozo grill was my favorite option. It's an all vegan menu with a delicious spicy ruben and the Fireside burger was next level. Best vegan burger i've ever had. perfect amount of smokiness and the homemade blackbean patty was yum. The fresh spiralized potatoes are perfect with anything. 10/10 some of the best vegan food in portland. The photo doesn't do it justice but it's also a huge portion.

Consistently delicious and vegan every time we go!!! Highly recommend everything on the menu!!

We had the BLT which was amazing. Definitely my new go to spot for a tasty vegan sandwich! Love that they have daily soups as well!
