Excellent food and service. Mexican Hot Chocolate and horchata were great. The meat skillet and breakfast burritos had a lot of flavor. All our over eggs were cooked to perfection. Our waiter Rodrigo was very helpful and provided great service. Everything was top notch. The spealcial Abuelita pancakes we perfection according my wife and daughter.

very busy place for good reason! we got on the waitlist and despite the line of people, we were seated very quickly. the service was so welcoming and the food was so delicious that many of us were sad when we finished. will come back again!

The food at Cozy Corner is actually pretty good, but the pricing structure felt like a bait and switch experience. I stopped in for a quick sandwich and asked the server what the best option was for something fast and reasonably priced. I was told that the patty melt was a good deal. I specifically asked what came with it for the listed price of $11.99 and was told clearly that it included both the sandwich and fries. Based on that explanation, I agreed that it was a fair deal and placed the order. When the food arrived, the sandwich was only room temperature and not hot, and the fries were somewhat cold as well. I was hungry and did not want to make a big issue at the time, so I ate the meal. When I received the check, I was honestly shocked. There was an additional six dollar charge added, labeled as a value meal, essentially charging me extra for the fries that I had already been told were included. When I questioned this, I was told that it was Saturday and that prices fluctuate similar to Uber or Lyft. That explanation made no sense to me, especially since I had asked upfront what was included in the price. When I reiterated that I was told the meal included fries, the person handling the situation simply put their hands up and said there was nothing they could do, stating that if you get fries, that is considered a meal deal and costs more. The way this situation was handled felt very shady and dismissive. Transparency matters, and customers should not be surprised with extra charges after being told one thing at the time of ordering. If you decide to eat at this location, I strongly recommend being cautious, asking for everything in writing on the menu, and double checking prices before ordering, because I personally felt misled as a customer. Never Again..

Great food, we were really happy with everything. We were seated right away and everything came out fast, fresh, and hot. Our server was kind, attentive, and kept our coffee hot— thanks Jalen.

A group of 7 or 8 of us stopped in on a Saturday late morning/early afternoon! We waited for about 15 mins for a table which I think is super reasonable for a group of that size. The servers & hostess were quick and attentive! The food was all delicious, and there's a great variety between sweet & savory. ✨ Bonus: they have excellent chocolate milk, and there are clear partitions between the booths, so although it is noisy, you can easily have conversations. ✨

Been driving by this restaurant for over a year and my family and I finally decided to check them out. We were a party of 4 and we all gave Cozy Corner 5 Stars. Every part of our experience was exceptional. The restaurant has a small parking lot on the side but there is a little street parking and a paid parking lot across the street. Upon entry it was crowded so we were given a buzzer to wait for our table. We were buzzed within 4 minutes. The restaurant is very spacious, multiple tables and booths with 2 counter seating spaces as well. It's very open and bright. The wait staff and servers are different people so there's no waiting a long time for anything. The restaurant feels so cozy. The food is SO DELICIOUS!! Everything was flavorful and tastes Great. The presentation of the food is very upscale and the portions are hefty. Special shout out to my waiter Faiyaz. He was a delight and very friendly. My kids liked him. Definitely recommend.

If you want an all American typical breakfast this is the spot. I came here with family and we all got our own dishes and some things to share. I got the house special, which is two French toasts, 2 eggs, and bacon. The French toast was perfection. The Nutella pancakes were also delicious. On the menu, it said it came with fresh strawberries and banana, but the banana was cooked into the pancake, which was a yummy surprise. An honorable mention is the cheese grits. The taste was SO good, but they were warm/room temp, which probably took away from the overall taste.

The place: the Yelp waitlist system they have here is clutch. They move with beautiful choreography and turn tables speedily. Our party of 2 walked in around noon on a Saturday. We were 9th on the waitlist and were seated by 12:20. The taste: great coffee. Fluffy pancakes on the side. Corned beef hash skillet was excellent. Crispy, flavorful, generous portions. Syrup, ketchup, hot sauce, etc. everything you could want. My face: all smiles at discovering this gem. $45 pre-tax and tip.

Great breakfast food! Service was attentive and friendly, we had to wait about 15 mins on a Sunday morning which wasn't bad at all. The interior is clean and has a classic cozy diner feel. The scrambled eggs were especially good, I think I'll have to get an egg based dish next time!

henomenal. The name says it all. On the south east corner of California and Milwaukee, is this cozy diner where you can enjoy classic breakfast options from Benedict's to country fried steak. Seasonal specials too like chicken and biscuits along with sweet desserts too. Free parking available in front (small) and in the back by the CTA (large). Recommend going during the weekdays as they get insanely packed during the weekends. If you go in the weekend either come early or order carryout. I'm not sure if reservations are available. I highly recommend the cheesy grits as a side. It is so fine. I've ordered things here multiple times and have only been disappointed once: egg white omelette. It was over cooked and the chicken chunks in it were too dry. If you're looking for a healthy option maybe look at a different item on the menu Staff: (when not busy) welcoming, friendly Food: typically everything slays Atmosphere: old fashioned dinner Room for improvement: don't over cook the omelette please

I loved coming here recently despite all the price increases the past few years. Even though breakfast for two should never cost $50, I still made time to dine in on the weekend. I continued to support this business even though their early bird special is no longer affordable on a daily basis. The only thing that kept me coming back was my love for the side order of pancakes that were included with the entree. Last week is the first time I became upset with a restaurant in the 38 years that I have been dining in Chicago. I was so upset because I noticed Cozy Corner shrunk the size of their side order of pancakes by about 50% I thought about how they might still be struggling with inflation like most small businesses this year and I started to calm myself down and move on with my life. About a week later, today, I felt like giving them one last chance to keep my loyal patronage. I decided to order a full order of pancakes in addition to my omelette. I paid $12.99 for the lemon berry capone pancakes even though I hate supporting shady companies that are actively practicing shrinkflation with no regard to product or customer. I just wanted to eat some regular size pancakes with my wife this morning for a special Valentine's Day breakfast. Except we didn't get the chance to enjoy regular sized pancakes. Cozy Corner gave me the same reduced sized pancakes as the shrinkflated side order. Are you kidding me?! Fool me twice, shame on me.

Cozy corner is still the best breakfast around. I have probably ordered over 50 times and they very rarely miss a thing. I always get the Mexican omelette and occasionally will get a side of pancakes instead of toast. The omelette is massive, enough for multiple meals, and not overly greasy like some omelettes with chorizo can get. I've had friends and family order other pancakes, French toast, etc and everything has been fantastic. It's also SUPER fast!

Can't stress this enough - this is the best breakfast food in Chicago. Place is always packed, anything you order will be great and service is always fantastic!! Treat yourself (in my opinion the best way you can) with a fantastic breakfast My go-to is the Hipster Benedict (biscuit and gravy eggs benedict) close second would be the Abuelita Skillet (only if you like spicy)

This place has a ton of reviews and good ones at that, so we ended up going here for brunch this weekend. It was a decent place. First of all, it's a pretty big place for the city and it has its own parking lot, which is amazing in terms of convenience. The other cool thing is they have Yelp waiting list so we signed into that and were like #20 when we left from home and were around #2 or so when we arrived. That makes things amazingly convenient. We waited probably only 5-10 mins once we arrived. Very nice for an otherwise crowded time. The place itself is like a normal diner. We ended up being seated kind of in an odd corner of the place, but it was ok. Now on the menu, it's a big one. They seem to have everything at face value, but there are some important updates required, I'd say. One that came up was they have burgers, but no veggie burger. On a similar front, a number of items come with eggs and they were not willing to substitute anything else for a side of eggs, even though we don't eat eggs. For example, avocado toast with 2 eggs on the side. What I wanted was just avocado toast. Same on the veggie griddle. We requested the waitress to help us out and on the 3rd try she did bring out some extra hash brown, but I had wished it was just an option up front. She was very nice overall though. One thing I've never seen before is she would ask you if you were right or left handed and turn the coffee up towards the direction based on your response. I thought that was pretty funny. So the food itself was fine. The waffle was ok. The avocado toast was ok. The veggie thing was ok. All was ok. In terms of the food.

Very friendly staff - they make a great homey atmosphere! Excellent bang for your buck if you're looking for a traditional breakfast with lots of options. The omelette was massive, the hash browns crispy and the French toast was simply perfection. Our coffee cups were never left empty and I wish we would have had more room to eat even more. Can't think of a better spot for a regular weekend breakfast.

Super cozy cafe with an at home feel. Exceeded expectations for a classic diner! The prices are fair, the staff is incredible with the customer service, and the food is super tasty! I ordered the house special with pancakes and it was everything I would want in a classic breakfast plate. Fluffy pancakes, eggs cooked to the perfect over medium that I asked for. On top of that, I accidentally ordered it with bacon instead of sausage which is what I wanted. When I asked the waitress about it, she gave me the sausage for free in addition to the bacon even though it was my mistake when ordering! She wasn't obligated to do that but she went out of her way to make sure I was happy. 10/10 on all fronts.

This is a great diner! So many breakfast options and the place has a cozy feel. We came on a Saturday morning and were seated quickly. The menu is huge... it's so difficult to pick since everything looks so good. I got the lemon berry capone pancakes and they were so good! Pancakes were nice and fluffy and the toppings were sweet and refreshing. I got this as a combo meal so I also got a side of eggs and sausage. The eggs were cooked perfectly, but I wasn't super into the sausage since I felt they were a little too salty. I also got a side of hash browns to share and these were delicious too! If you're in the mood for breakfast food with a cozy diner feel, cozy corner is a great option! I'd probably skip on the sausage but everything else was super delicious. There's so many unique combos for pancakes and French toast so I'll be back to try them!

We were in Chicago visiting my sister and she lives right by here. We went for a quick and easy breakfast before getting our day started. We were sat right away which was nice. We were instantly greeted with our waitress and asked what we want to drink. Quickly after she came back to serve us coffee, which was also nice since it was the morning and we were needing coffee asap. The menu is big and has your classic diner vibes. They had some delicious looking winter specials which we didn't get but close to ordering. We each ordered a different kind of scramble or omelet. I really enjoyed the "al pastor" scramble I ordered. It came with pineapple in it which as first I was unsure about but it actually added really nice flavor. I definitely recommend going if you are wanting that good greasy diner type food. We left full and satisfied and it definitely got the job done.

Great spot ever since I was a kid. These days they upgraded, gentrified and still put out the same quality to hipsters and neighborhood folks alike. Extremely clean and excellent service. One of the few places around with parking. Can't go wrong here for breakfast or lunch.

This place is a gem! If you like a diner feel for a Sunday Morning pick me up breakfast, this is the place for you. Upon walking into the Cozy Corner, it is VERY hectic (which is to be expected on a weekend morning) and I made sure this time (second time coming here) to check in on my way over via the bus. This got us in quicker! Also I would like to add, they deal with the craziness very well! Keeping everyone in line and still remain happy and peppy through it all (which seems difficult)! Once sat, I knew we would love this place from just briefly glancing at the menu. Prices are fair and portions are large. My first time coming I got the Nutella crepes which were a 10/10. This time coming, I got the cinnamon swirl french toast which was a 7/10. Be prepared for a VERY sweet dish.... I ate too fast and my stomach started hurting so that's my fault! Also got the hash browns which are fantastic - I get them extra crispy. My boyfriend got the Cubano Sandwich which he says is the best he's EVER had. A side of fries with the garlic sauce topped it off. Our server was bubbly and very nice/ pleasant. Customer service was great too. Overall this is a great place to come on a slow Sunday morning! Highly recommend!

Food was a 10/10. Their menu is pretty expansive so there is definitely something for everyone. Highly recommend the caramel waffle it was delicious. The portions are pretty average but the prices are reasonable. It does get quite busy and I don't think they take reservations so just be prepared to wait a little. The only negative was our table was so close to the register I kept getting kicked with people walking over to pay or leave. Would recommend removing that table it wasn't the most enjoyable experience. Other than that though would highly recommend!

Cozy Corner delivers on some of the best breakfast and diner food in Chicago. This location has some of the best staff and you will always recieve great service. They also have a parking lot attendant during busy times so parking and or getting in and out is a breeze. The food is solid and great everytime. Consistent and jamming with flavors. Great spot for any kind of food mood you may be in.

As a single diner, I wanted to share my experience at Cozy Corner. I stumbled on this gem eight months ago when I moved to Logan Square. I had finished taking the boxes from the moving truck into the condo and was hangry. As I didn't know the area, I drove around and stumbled upon this restaurant. It reminded me of Lincoln Square in Indianapolis. I got a table for one and was extremely happy with the menu. I ordered an omelet with potatoes and iced tea. The food came quickly and was good. I decided then and there that this would be at the top of my list for breakfast spots, so much so that I would visit it once to twice a month. Fast forward to today. I had just finished a doctor's appointment and didn't feel like cooking, so I stopped in a Cozy Corner around 9 am. I parked my car and walked in. There were four people ahead of me, and as the hostess got to me, I said I needed a table for one. The hostess pointed out the bar, to which I said no, I'd like a table. The hostess said they no longer sit singles at tables or booths. It was 9 am, and the parking lot was not even full. I looked at her, bewildered. I even searched for a sign and saw nothing anywhere indicating this was a new policy. Once in my car and sitting in the parking lot, I called the Cozy Corner. Management will attempt to refute this review so that I will be forthcoming. I was hot about what had just happened. When the person picked up the phone, I said I was just told that singles could not sit at tables or booths, there was no signage regarding this, and this was a lousy rule on their part. I was talking loud, not yelling, but loud. I'm a native Chicagoan, for god's sake. The hostess indicated she was the one who told me this and then proceeded to accuse me of yelling, that she was doing her job, and then hung up the phone. This is the go-to response from a customer service perspective when employees want to avoid dealing with bad rules. I get it; however, I was not yelling. Believe me, if I were, I'd tell you all. After she hung up on me, I called right back, and Michael - I think that was his name - answered the call. Because the hostess accused me of yelling, I spoke in a low tone. I said to Michael, are you the manager? He then hesitated and said yes. I relayed to him that this rule of forcing singles to sit at the bar is not good business, my money was as good as anyone else's, and then I hung up. Here's why you and I should have an issue with this. What if someone has social anxiety and tries to get out after being cooped up for two years? Folks want to avoid sitting at a bar next to people but want to be around people. What if someone is on the spectrum and doesn't like the close quarters? Management still needs to think this through. As such, this is a teachable moment for all involved. Management needs to create a big sign so all single customers see they cannot be seated at a table or a booth, so they are not embarrassed as I was. To facilitate this, I will be protesting peacefully for the next three months at this location. I'll have a simple sign that reads Single diners are not welcome here. If you want to join me, I'll be on the sidewalk on Saturdays and Sundays starting in March. Best.

Food was delicious, Diana, our server, was very cordial and considerate, we all enjoyed our time.

I've come here every weekend for over a year and today is my last. The manager decided that there would not be modifications to dishes because it was a weekend. In what world does a restaurant not allow modifications to orders such as "no onions, no cheese (due to an allergy) and no cheese on another dish. They made the food how the kitchen wanted and gave it to us, now why would a kitchen or manager take it upon themselves to make food that won't be eaten and then charge the customer for it. I asked to speak to the manager and he was too busy eating his sandwich on the other side of the kitchen door to come speak to me. Piss poor customer service, piss poor management, pissed away a regular customer. Don't go here, don't order food or run the risk of the kitchen making what they want not what you want.

Do not come for pancakes. They were very dry. The bacon was stale, as if they're not made to order. Biscuits and gravy was not hot and too thick. The best thing was the eggs/omelette. The coffee was mediocre. Service would've been great, if we were checked on.

This is a 5 star review of a text book way to serve people with great customer service and great food. The place was crowded and busy but we were checked on consistently while we waited, which was great it let's you know you're not forgotten. Once we were seated we ordered our food (it was delicious) I got the steak skillet and my girl got the hipster Benedict, to top off the great quick meal our server Bayden was very prompt on point and very welcoming! Really held up to the name "cozy corner" it felt like just right place to be on a cold Sunday brunch. Will be back again! Hugh five to Bayden totally smooth customer service.

Not even going to rate it, for yrs I being nothing but a champion of this place, there's others places where they can easily accommodate you, not next to the sink where the staff have the condiments, I worked in a restaurant for yrs so I know believe I know about how a restaurant works and operate. Going to spend a lot of money for a place it really lost its touch. Got to be bumping with other patrons, it's ridiculous, the noise next to the kitchen don't let me enjoy the day, next time make sure you sit next to the shitter. And it's not I got no money to spend, I guess they though I was a beggar or something, but thank you.

First time here and I am in love w/ the Mimosa it's just perfect I ordered strawberry French toast, steak n eggs w/ cheese grits and I ate every bite of my meal. Steak was exceptionally delicious, I think my waiter name was Jake he was great I didn't even have to wait long for my bill . Will be back !

Great place to go for breakfast but get there early on the weekends! We beat the rush and got seated right away just before it got really busy after 10am on Sunday. I had standard breakfast of eggs, sausage and hash browns which was a large portion and tasty! Service was excellent too!

We stopped in for breakfast on our last morning in Chicago. The diner was buzzing but still had a few open tables, we were seated quickly and our friendly server was there to provide water and get drink orders in a matter of seconds. All four of us ordered something different from the menu and we were all very satisfied. The pancakes were perfection, the fiesta skillet was spicy and amazing, and the hipster Benny checked all the boxes. Couldn't have asked for a better meal or service before our drive home.

Cozy Corner makes you feel like you're in a movie. With bright lighting, you walk into a fast-paced breakfast joint that still pays attention to each and ever customer. They will get you seated and serve you in a timely manner. Their coffee is bottomless and their booths are intimate. You'll want to keep coming back and ordering the same food because it's just that good, even down to the soft, thick, white toast you get on the side. So cozy!

Very busy old school diner in Logan! It will be packed on a weekend so just be prepared to wait, though staff is organized and helpful even in the midst of the chaos. Great picturesque classic breakfast! Fluffy scrambled eggs, delicious perfectly cooked bacon, and yummy (though pretty standard) french toast. Service was friendly & prompt. 4/5 stars just because there wasn't anything super special about the food so not totally sure it's worth the long wait & it's a little on the pricy side for what you get. Overall great experience though!

My updated charge on my card was $10 more than what I signed off for. I called and spoke to the manager on duty and all they said is that they'd speak to the people who handle money and give me a call back. I have not heard anything since. That is stealing.

Stopped in with my mother and son after our dentist appointment. When we arrived we were greeted by Pete. He was such a pleasure! He explained the check in/reservation process via yelp and checked us in once we followed his directions. It was a bit busy but we were seated within 10 minutes. Our server was Catalina and she was attentive and friendly. Our food came out quickly, hot & fresh. I ordered the veggie skillet with pancakes. It was absolutely perfect. I didn't have to add any salt or pepper, I was able to just dive right in! The one thing I didn't like was that the only non pork meat side is turkey sausage as my son and I don't like sausage. It would be nice to have a turkey bacon or turkey ham option. A true plus was the non dairy creamer option! It's hard to find places that offer nondairy creamer. I've found that at most places you're usually stuck drinking it with almond milk or soy milk which don't satisfy my palate. All in all, this location was great and I hope to visit them again very soon!

This place played exactly the role we needed after a Halloween bar crawl bender. My only complaint was that it took 45 min to be seated which was tough given the morale of the group when we showed up. Chocolate chip pancakes slapped though. I ended up battling a few demons in the bathroom, which the staff kindly did not mention-admirable.
