Cozy Corner Restaurant and Pancake House

We had such a great experience! Kat provided excellent service and really made us feel welcome. She recommended the breakfast specials and they were delicious. The restaurant was spotless and the atmosphere was calm and inviting. Highly recommend stopping in! These are the specials as of December 9th,2025, vegetable skillet, side order of pancakes and cappuccino in photos.

I love Cozy Corner!! So nice to have a location near me. Kat, our server, was so friendly early in the morning and was very attentive. This place is a staple for me and whoever comes to visit. We got the House Special, Abuelita skillet, and the pumpkin cream pancakes. We are always happy with the food here, and this trip was no exception. You also cannot beat the early bird special. Thank you cozy corner!

The staff is amazing. They are so nice and helpful. The food was fresh and delicious. I had the pumpkin pancakes 🥞 which made my weekend after a long morning of chores and running errands. My waitress was very helpful showing me the specials, and letting me know her recommendations. It was my first time in this location, and it is immediately my favorite. There is plenty of space so your not bumping into people as you walk to your table or sitting down an relaxing. The area has a number of great diners, and this location is up there with the best.

Our party of four dined here at 10 am on a Saturday. Three of us ordered a breakfast and one a lunch(me). Our waitress greeted us happily at the table. There are plenty of staff everywhere keeping this place hopping with efficiency. Our meals were brought pretty quickly for the amount of people in the restaurant at 10 am. Everyone in our party loved their meal. I will post photos. I had the chicken wrap and it is so big and tasty and loaded with chicken and the cilantro sauce is amazing. Definitely something I would recommend. Big booths and clean as can be. We will return. I love that I could get lunch at that time because I am not a breakfast person at all. This establishments entrance is so different compared to the other locations. The minute I stepped in I was greeted and seated by the host & hostess. The area was clean, prepared and easy to navigate. I ate the seasonal pumpkin pancakes meal, with eggs and ham both delivered on presentation and taste.

New location, food was good🍳. Service was outstanding. Kat was attentive and very welcoming. The pumpkin latte she made me was delish!(Would be cool if they add Peppermint Mocha latte to menu for the season) Love the new, clean decor and plenty of parking! This location is a new fav so we'll def be back with friends!

Decided to take myself out for breakfast. Don't know why it took me a minute to realize this place was here. Another minute to get up the motivation to come here alone. Was mostly ignored by everyone around me, so I guess this would be a good place to come if you enjoy people watching. Staff was kind and efficient, bringing my food out right away, refilling my coffee, getting me a to-go box when sitting in the middle of a restaurant feeling completely invisible got to be too much. There's a bustling, fast energy here (as is with most diners), and it would be a good place to come with a party larger than one.

First visit and nice to have a place like this in the area. Everything was good and will return. I love corned beef hash and will always order it but it wasn't that good. The hash was over salty. A bit disappointed but the other items were much better. Next time I look forward to trying something else. New and fresh look was very nice. Enjoy!

Really good food. The Gypsy Skillet was delish. Santa Fe salad was wonderful, with very fresh green lettuce (many times the lettuce is light color/not fresh). This place gets it right and understands quality. Selena was an amazing server. We came late in the day and she was helpful and honest about best choices. Would highly, highly recommend.

We had a really nice Sunday visit here a few weeks back. Having the parking lot is great there too. The menu is enormous, portion sizes were right, and service was nice but little distracted. I had the spicy chicken sandwich, which was really flavorful and loaded with a lot of great stuff. The order of fries that came with it was so large and practically had its own area code. I was a big fan of that. Soda wise they have Pepsi products, not Coke. The chilaquiles were also good but there was an issue where they gave us the wrong salsa, but it was still tasty as it just not something you can undo without throwing out the food which we didn't want to happen. Overall, a nice down to earth spot for food. We will definitely be back.

I met up with my bud for a weekday lunch at Cozy Corner recently. This relatively new Cozy Corner is on Pulaski a block north of Irving Park, and the wall art acknowledges this location. There is a parking lot surrounding the restaurant too. We were seated at a cozy booth. We both ordered lunch combos with entree, side and soft drink for $13.99 plus tax. I went with the California Melt, while my bud ordered the Tuna Melt Supreme. We both chose fries as the side item, and the crinkle cut potatoes come out unsalted (you can also order soup or fruit as the side). My Cali Melt was stacked with chicken, avocado, bacon, cheese and tomato. Our attentive and pleasant server was happy to give us refills on our soft drinks and water.

Avocado Toast: hearty with crisp greens. Also had bagel lox. I don't see it in menu now, could be a special. Staff are super nice. Service quick. Area clean and inviting.

Excellent place for breakfast. The atmosphere is modern and welcoming, and the restaurant is spotless. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing great service throughout. Their early-bird breakfast specials are impressive -- generous portions and full of flavor. A great spot to start your day.

I'm a little late on posting this comment. I went in like 2 weeks ago and totally forgot to post a comment but I enjoyed our experience that I have had it in my brain that I needed to post a comment.... We truly enjoyed our visit to Cozy Corner Restaurant. Kat, our server, was friendly, attentive, and did a wonderful job making us feel welcomed. I wanted eggs Benedict and usually go traditional but was curious on the other options offered so I asked the server for a recommendation... she recommended the carnitas eggs Benedict, and it was absolutely delicious--an excellent choice. My mother and sister also enjoyed their breakfast. This was my first time visiting this location, but it certainly won't be my last (I will definitely order that carnitas egg Benedict again.). Both our server and the busboy were very friendly, and the food not only looked great but tasted amazing as well. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we look forward to coming back (food quality and quantity was great for the price). We appreciated that we were greeted as soon as we entered and also the manager and server both thanked us for coming on the way out. In a time we're customer service seems to be lacking in the service industry, this restaurant is doing it correctly and we truly appreciated the hospitality. Thank you. See you soon.

Been here since they first open. Service and breakfast is great! Kat our waitress is amazing! Definitely come back anytime i come around for breakfast.

This new Cozy Corner is bright, open, and clean. The space is very welcoming and service was fantastic. Unfortunately some of our food did not taste great, while the PBB & J Pancakes were delicious.

Came in on Sunday morning and it was very busy but the staff worked fast to turn people around. Don't leave if you see a line, hoping they get the app up soon that lets you see wait times. Service was great overall and food was also really good! It's more elevated diner food, much better than other diners I've been to. I tried the sweet heat sandwich & it was almost like a burger. It was delicious. And then also tried the homemade horchata- so good! My husband got the carnitas skillet with pancakes and a coffee. He really enjoyed his as well. Food was brought out surprisingly quick. Will be coming back!

One of the only restaurants to make their sausage gravy in house. It's great. Their hashbrowns are actually seasoned, and their pancakes are fluffy and delicious. So, glad they opened in my neighborhood. We came in on two different occasions, once on a super busy weekend morning, but the space is large and the cooks are fast. We were seated immediately and had fantastic service throughout.

I had a great experience during my visit. The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out just the way I expected. On top of that, our waitress was incredibly attentive--she checked on us regularly, made sure we had everything we needed, and was kind without being overbearing. Overall, a very enjoyable meal and excellent service. I'd definitely come back!

Great food and great service. Lots of parking available. Lots of space inside and don't feel as crammed versus the Milwaukee location. Only gripe is the place is FREEZING.

This is my neighborhood restaurant that I have been going to consistently the past few months. Today I was served raw chicken and only noticed halfway through eating. As an immunocompromised person, this is horrific. The manager offered a measly free sandwich coupon as an apology. Do better, Cozy Corner.

We have been here twice so far since they've opened and the experience has been beyond excellent! We brought a baby here too, and the staff was so good to her professional and inviting staff, hard working, they run a very clean and organized business. This will be our new to go spot from now on!

The pancakes and maple syrup is my favorite. I've ordered the corn beef hash twice in a row and it is still so good. I want to try other things on the menu.

Mm* Mm* *sigh* It was definitely not a good experience for me. Being invited and later UNINVITED and PRESSURED to LEAVE my cozy corner by the manager ELLEN, was not as embarrassing for me as I had thought it would be. I knew this day would come. Be at all that time as Americans who are tossed out by those who don't understand what it means to pay a price for freedom. Father, mother, sister, brother, all marched in their graduation gowns heads bowed in prayer there, etc. So when Angus refused to let me pay, then Ellen threw away all of their goodwill over an issue with a spoon on the floor, perhaps, 'twas true my guys in blue who showed up and shot the manager's glare down, though Angus kept his frown (after the Ellen episode, who can blame him?). And it was Ellen, who did keep my receipt which I requested for tax purposes because it was Angus, who had offered to pay for coffee and toast (complete breakfast) for me in the first place most generously with his frown that day. And if you recall, it was always the lesson which I learned long ago that I must pay a price for all things in life included my breakfast, which was perhaps about $10 including tax and tip. I only asked for the receipt to prove to my accountant that I paid for my breakfast: Coffee and toast, but calmly left with nothing. No food no receipt no invitation back no kindness no smile no grits in a bag with a spoon no.Kat and the DISINVITATION and promise that I must never ever come back again. Service with a smile is always appreciated and Kat is a leader worthy of her title who deserves a raise. And perhaps a promotion. However, I would be remiss if I did not mention the kitchen ambiance. Cooks who do not smell good while they cook food leave a bad taste in the mouth of the patron. He... perhaps he and his crew lead a quiet rebellion in the back. But whatever it was that drove them to add a most putrid smelling yellow version of the same classic cleaner is one that this 58-year old woman has never heard of before. I had my second disappointing experience at Cozy Corner in our Old Irving Park neighborhood today. It too revolved around service. I was seated but not served by the waiter or waitress who both came to tables right by me to ask patrons if the needed anything else and take an order. They both looked in my general direction but never came to greet me or wait on me. It wasn't super busy. After 10 minutes I decided to leave. During my other experience, the waitress went by other tables to take orders, but didn't stop by to greet me, instead she yelled in my direction from across the restaurant asking me if I wanted any coffee. Then came to my table after a while. I can truly say I have never experienced this pattern of service at any other restaurant. This is so very, very disappointing since I had been a big fan and so happy when they first opened. My hopes of this being my "Cheers", where everybody knows your name and repeat customers are valued, has faded away. I may try it one more time. If it's a similar experience I suspect it may be pattern of treatment toward customers of a certain group. The restaurant is otherwise clean, great atmosphere and good food. But....that can't make up for poor treatment. I hope management will actually read this review and encourage better and equitable treatment of ALL customers. I try to support local business in my neighborhood, but there are other options.

My favorite breakfast place just opened across the street They have OUTSTANDING food!!! This is exactly what we needed in the neighborhood!

Lissette T is great and friendly . Love coming in on Saturday and have Lissette take your orders. She is a great person and a hard worker too.

New cozy corner in the neighborhood. A friend told us to try chilaquiles which were good but the lemon berry pancakes were exceptional. Ask for Kat she is one of the most pleasant servers I have ever had. Also have homemade bakery. We tried the peanut butter rice krispy treat delicious

I like that there is a good amount of parking. That's probably the biggest pro. The service is very prompt and attentive. The employees working here are really hustling. Though it does feel a little rushed when dining in. The prices were reasonable and the food was okay. Nothing fantastic. This place is a good option if you want fast service, OK food, and plenty of parking.

Once again , our Saturday trek to our newest favorite breakfast place. We've been coming here every Saturday since the place open and never disappoints today we had a new waitress. Her name was cat, funny witty, courteous spot on with the service and every one of their employees is like her and that's what makes it such a wonderful place to go if you get a chance, hit the one in Irving Park we don't know about the others, but I'm sure based on The motto of the company every restaurant location is that way. Cozy corner one of the best restaurants for breakfast in Chicago.

The food was delicious and price was reasonable. They were jammed packed on Sunday, but the wait was short. It was my first time visiting this place and I will return.

Food was good. Communication was terrible. I didn't even get a thank you not once, but at the end of the meal I'm getting charged 18% service charge because I spent over $100. I'll make sure to take my food to go next time since I am being charged 18% for horrible service. I was going to tip regardless of her horrible service, but after hearing I got charged 18% because I spent over $100 is insane. I will be sticking to my original cozy corner where service is just as phenomenal as the food. Thanks for the food won't be back Yenethzy.

Stopped in on my way to work. They have excellent breakfast specials in the AM. I went with the 2x2 Special and the pancakes were fluffy. Just a great deal and quick service for someone on the go. Everyone was polite.

It was a disappointing day. While the food is indeed good, it's important to have staff who are accommodating, attentive to customer needs, and able to explain the menu. They should also take the time to assist customers with their orders and enjoy offering recommendations. We visit 2-3 times a week because of Kat, who is one of the best servers. She's energetic, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Today, however, she was working behind the counter, which was quite unsatisfying. Kat is a valuable employee, and her talents should not be wasted.

Very spacious, clean, brand new space. Great specials, large menu, many food choices. Service is great!

Service was not good. I ordered my food and ordered something extra and was never given it to me but charged me for it. I ordered pancakes and syrup or butter was never brought out. Never checked in after to see what was needed and waitresses was mad when brought up. Wouldn't go back
