Google
Highly recommend this place! Their breakfast tacos are amazing! The staff is super friendly and they will bring you a water bowl for the dog! Not to mention their beautiful front porch and yard to set and enjoy your food.

Google
Super cute place on Tennyson in Denver. Up and coming neighbor so only offers street parking at this time. I really hope this establishment stays a fixture of this area ! Very inviting, great service, quaint decor and amazing food ! French toast was delicious and their almond latte was superb ! 10/10.

If your visiting from out of town like we are definitely a good place to come eat. Food is amazing! The atmosphere is very calm and chill. 10/10

Google
10/10 Such a Cute Breakfast spot! So grateful they serve breakfast until 6pm! Lovely and whimsical place

Google
Cute neighborhood brunch spot with plenty to choose from! We got two different Benedicts. The Bluebird & their special Polenta Benedict. Their Hollandaise sauce stole the show, it's some of the best I've ever had. Sadly the potatoes and grits were very bland and needed a lot of love. The Chocolate chip pancakes were fluffy and the perfect dessert. We'll definitely be back to try more soon!

Google
Had breakfast here again and it was just as impressive as I remembered. The food came out hot and fresh, and the portion sizes were generous. I especially appreciated how everything was well-balanced and flavorful—nothing felt overly heavy or bland. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. Definitely one of those places you end up recommending to others after just one visit. Can’t wait to come back soon!

Google
Came here for breakfast 2 weeks ago, and everything was beyond great. We had breakfast around 1130am, and our server Jess was on top of everything. The pancakes were probably the best I've had here. My sister's in town, and I made a big deal about having to take her here because it was so good. Went today around 2pm, besides us there was only one other table with 2 people. The place was empty. It took about 20 mins for 3 of our plates to come out and another 15 to get the server to come back because my order was wrong. Though the new one came out in 5 minutes, it wasn't good. The potatoes were bland and mushy, the biscuits and gravy tasted gamey, and my new sandwich was underwhelming. I didn't expect to be checked on ever 5 mins but having to call the waiter over after waiting for him to come around after disappearing for 15 mins, only to find him sat in the front on his phone. Honestly, if this had been my first experience here, I wouldn't come back. But since I had a great breakfast experience prior, I'll probably only come back here in the mornings. The first picture is today's meal. All 3 meals were half eaten. The next 2 were from breakfast, absolutely delicious 5/5.

Google
We dined at their front patio (dog-friendly) and had Jamie as our server. She was amazing, attentive, and got everything spot on! The food was absolutely fabulous; they are a scratch kitchen so they can customize just about anything on their menu. 10/10 and we will be back when visiting Denver 💙

Yelp
excellent brunch spot with excellent and cheaply priced food!!!! we had a total of 7 people and only costed $150!!! what a steal!! i guess compare to the prices in CA - i jus haven't seen this price for a long ass time lol. anyway, service was excellent as well. our server Jamie was very attentive and checked up on us just often enough! i had the breakfast quesadilla with carnitas and avocado and it was 4 huuuuuuuge pieces. def enough to share between two people. everyone else really liked their food too. we sat on the patio and it was nicely shaded with the 83F weather!

Yelp
I've been to the cozy cottage a few times and had the chance to bring my family when they were visiting! The restaurant is located in a converted home and truly has such cozy vibes. It's like you walked into your grandmas house! It was too chilly to sit outside when we got there but they do have a large patio that is dog friendly! I ordered the huevos eggs and it was delicious. Right now they have carrot cake pancakes that sounded divine!! Our server went out of her way to connect/chat with us. Can't wait for my next trip here!

Yelp
We made reservations for six a few days prior to. We showed up and they seemed to have no idea what we were talking about. We waited for a bit for them to figure it out and we ended up getting the table we wanted outside. Small hiccup but it worked out. We tried a variety of entrees such as the tuna avocado, huevos rancheros, club sandwich, and the fruit split. they all were really good. We were all very pleased with our choices. On the other hand our aperol spritz were lacking same with the mimosas. No ice was even served with the aperol. We came to the group decision that this is a great spot to eat at but not to enjoy drinks at. I would still coke Back here for the food alone.

Yelp
- cute cottage with a small patio. A bar right at the entrance - service was super friendly However, I'm hesitant to go back because 1) the seats and tables were not clean. There were bacon and grease everywhere, very visible. I made eye contact with the waiter but he didn't get it. I changed seat and it was the same so I had to ask for napkin to clean them myself; 2) food were just so so. Ordered the Benedict and carnita hash, with a side of pancake. Everything was so so

Jasmine F.

Yelp
This is our third time visiting Colorado and the second time at the place..the food is sooooo good!!!! I honestly suggest sharing where possible because the portions are huge!!!!! The staff is always friendly and attentive and I have NO complaints. This was the first time I tried the fruit split and it was so filling and delicious!!!!! This is literally saved in my favorites because I plan to visit every time I'm here.

Yelp
We stopped by here after trying to get into another restaurant but having to wait too long. Even on a busy Saturday afternoon, we were able to get seated in less than 15 minutes. Our waitress was very kind and provided great service. I got the BlueBird Benedict, and wow the asparagus sauce that they used was amazing! I tried some of my fiancé's Caprese sandwich and fries loved those as well. The way that the fries were battered was perfection. On top of all, the drinks were delicious, and I was very pleased with my Bloody Mary. The Cozy Cottage was indeed cozy, and I will likely be returning here in the future!

Yelp
This brunch spot lives up to its name, super cozy, delicious food, great service and overall a great location. Stopped in for brunch and had the Berkeley Benedict. It was great, chili on the side made it a ton better. The tiramisu pancakes were delicious!! It's all I can think about. Totally recommend!!

J N.

Yelp
We had a bit of a wait but it was worth it. Great menu selection. We sat outside and the service was delightful as well. We will return soon.

Yelp
I've been ordering to go, here for years. The food is good, especially the benedicts. Unfortunately, the place has serious management issues. In my last 4 orders, I've received everything I ordered twice. Today is no different, Whether you receive a side you paid $5 for, or making the potatoes loaded for $5, odds are very good, you may not receive what you paid for. I would go back but as usual, even tipping 15%-20% on a takeout order, they have no interest in getting your order from the back. You can wait 10-15 minutes and the food is lukewarm by the time the bring it to the front. Very unfortunate.

Renaye V.

Yelp
Everything tasted ok, the service was super and we got seated fast for a Saturday morning but something just wasn't making me want to go back. My polenta special was $16.00, that I thought was pricey, then they offer coffee with different syrups but those are an extra dollar, plus the different milk you ask for is another dollar up charge. The place is cute, it's a little house, they have a full bar right as you walk in. The food was just lacking flavor I thought. I loved our server, she was great! They have street parking that luckily isn't metered. We found parking about a block away.

Yelp
Cozy cottage is a very fitting name. The inside is really cute and rustic and the outside area has so much seating and is perfect if you have a four legged friend with you. Service was attentive and great, our server quickly got our orders and checked in after we received our food. I got the carnitas hash which was so tasty. The poached eggs were perfectly done, the pulled pork was flavorful and the salsa on top really tied everything together. My favorite thing was that you could get pancakes on the side instead of toast and they could add whatever toppings into the pancakes. I had to get some blueberry pancakes and they were fluffy and were the perfect sweet ending to my brunch.
google avatar

Patrick D.

Yelp
This is the neighborhood hang. I love the people and the atmosphere. The food is an American/Mexican menu and very good. Not "trendy" or "fashionable." It is truly down-home with a great warmth and that feeling that only comes from a room that is always rife with "regulars." I'm excited to see what happens when they open for evening hours (the word is out - so here's hoping). Breakfast quesadillas are a favorite (unless I'm just needing pancakes... which happens!)

Hilary F.

Yelp
Love that they have dinner now! Pancake and a beer for dinner during the wind power outage was a lifesaver
google avatar

R K.

Yelp
Slow service $20 omelette - too greasy! Tables look and feel dirty Potatoes not fresh and had been sitting around

Yelp
Cozy little place! Had the pigs n a blanket(just ok) and then the Bluebird Benedict which was SO good. Friendly service but does take a while to get your food :/
google avatar

Charisse Q.

Yelp
Yum! We went here on a Saturday afternoon and the service was great and food was delish! We say outside on their cute patio. Our server was so nice and helpful! The food was delicious. I got the huevos Escondidos and it was spicy but not TOO spicy. Mostly just flavorful. The tequila sunrise was the perfect addition to the meal as well.
google avatar

Morgan S.

Yelp
Such a cute little cottage! Parking is a little hard so get there early for a good side street spot. So much outdoor seating but we went on a colder day and decided to dine inside. They had a lot of good options. I was stuck between the breakfast burrito and the Pigs in a blanket. I ended up getting the pigs in a blanket! Pigs in a blanket is three sausages wrapped in their buttermilk pancakes dusted with powdered sugar and a side of maple syrup! I swapped the eggs for potatoes. The pancakes were so fluffy! Very delicious! The sausage was your standard size so I thought it was a little too small for the large pancake but over it was a good sweet and savory flavor! The potatoes were delicious too! My boyfriend got the protein meal. Eggs, bacon, sausage, and ham! He added a side of white toast. He said it was very filling and satisfying! I thought it looked good! Overall it was a way better experience than my first encounter. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly wait staff. Definitely go around 9am or earlier. We had a reservation at 9am and left 945am. It was busy and packed by the time we left.

Yelp
Would give this place a 3.5 if I could! Truthfully, my group of 4 came here after finding out the wait at Denver Biscuit Co was 2 hours since this is less than a block away. We came on a beautiful Sunday and waited around 30 minutes for a table inside. Is also BYOB since they don't have an alcohol menu. Bluebird Benedict - tasty and drenched in a rich asparagus cream sauce but the prosciutto was a bit over cooked. I got the side of grits with was really bland (guessing no salt and definitely no cheese). Biscuits and gravy - I got a side portion of this and it was delicious! The sausage gravy was the perfect consistency with ample amounts of sausage. The biscuits were soft and crispy on the outsides that weren't soaked in the gravy.

Yelp
Im not the biggest breakfast person but I can lunch it up all day. Easily one of my favorite breakfast / lunch spots in Denver, and I can say that with utmost honesty! My most recent visit I got the chicken caprese by recommendation of out waitress who said it was the best sandwich ever and for real she was not lying! Cheesy, full of flavor, and filling! If you have a chance to get the waffle fries, just do it because they are perfectly crisp every time. They have something for everyone on the menu. My one request would be to PLEASE bring back that Mac n Cheese! The restaurant is cozy, hence the spot on name, service is friendly and fast. You just can't go wrong.

Yelp
We came to Colorado from Iowa for my daughter's 21st birthday. This place was on our Birthday Bucket List We weren't able to come in until the last full day of our trip, and it was Soooooo worth the wait!!! Amazing Service, atmosphere, food, coffee, Everything!!!!! We may come back for the yogurt banana split, It Was Amazing

James Q.

Yelp
This is one of the best breakfast spots I have ever been to. The food was great and the service was amazing. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in Denver. I ordered the tequila sunrise and the salmon eggs benedict, both were prepared perfectly.
google avatar

Keith R.

Yelp
Wag at a great spot to open the day with breakfast conversation and coffee. Great service

JoJo B.

Yelp
Nice place, but just had coffee for breakfast. Because I do not eat pork, highly recommend non pork options in general!

Yelp
We were on our way to the nearby Denver Biscuit Co., for breakfast on a recent Sunday morning but the line there was too long. Since we had passed Cozy Cottage we decided to go back there and give it a try. And, we're glad we did! Here is what we liked: - Great, very diverse menu...with many more healthy options. - I got the Veggie Hash, and my wife ordered the Pesto Benedict. My hash was really great...especially with two over easy eggs on top. I also got three fluffy pancakes, where were excellent. My wife loved her Benedict...and, she had asked for the potatoes to be cooked extra crispy, and they were! - Nice outdoor seating. - Excellent service. Bottom line: We'd go back to Cozy Cottage anytime we visit Denver...it's a keeper!
google avatar

Sheyanne M.

Yelp
My forever favorite breakfast spot. I love getting a vanilla oat latte and the pork hash - the ultimate breakfast combo. You can't go wrong with the French toast either except make sure to add strawberries if they are in season because it's so yummy!
google avatar

Ellen S.

Yelp
Great breakfast! Benedicts were scrumptious. Hazelnut latte was yummy. Server was nice and attentive!
google avatar

Yelp
What a lovely spot to linger and eat with friends, or even dine alone. Beautiful, intimate patio area, and nice interior dining also. I received great service and highly recommend the delicious, perfectly balanced Reuben sandwich, yum! And the waffle fries were fantastic! I only had a short window of time for a spontaneous lunch alone, and they served me within 5 minutes! I will be back when I have more time to savor this cute spot.

Yelp
This place is super cute! Was looking for a dog friendly brunch place that I haven't tried yet, so decided to go here. Right in the prime of Tennyson street, parking was easy on a Sunday around 1pm at least. We got sat pretty quickly, patio has great ambience with cute gardens and perfect for doggos. Only disappointment was they didn't have an alcohol liscense but the waitress said we could walk across the street to the liquor store and buy champagne for mimosas. Oh just a warning they charge like 18$ for 2 tall glasses of orange juice. Next time I may just bring my own orange juice also, lol. Otherwise for food I got the florentine benedict with garlic cream sauce bacon, and grits. My boyfriend got the scrambled eggs with some sausage, bacon and potatoes. The florentine benedict was pretty good flavor was the sauce was very creamy and garlicy. Maybe they added a bit too much sauce. I was a bit disappointed on the grits because I asked for cheddar with it
google avatar

Tamara C.

Yelp
My husband and I have been searching for years to find a restaurant that makes homemade gravy for biscuits & gravy. This place showed some promise after reading reviews and seeing pictures. So once again I convinced my husband to try again. Well we were once again disappointed. This time the gravy was homemade but the cook (the person can not be a chef letting this go out the window) missed the mark big time. It was like putting wet flour in your mouth. It was so gummy and tasteless. Guess we will continue to make our own.

Scott W.

Yelp
Always a great breakfast - always. Breakfast burrito is the king. Jamie is the best of a Good group of servers

Yelp
Oof, where to start. So my friend and I came in with our three toddlers. Yes, I know. We are very mindful of the chaos that comes with eating out with toddlers. As we walked in, I heard a server mutter something under her breath about the fact that we had all these kids, but I didn't mind it. Lo and behold, of course that was our server. Anywho, my friend and I order the kids' food first so that the food would come out quickly and therefore prevent a meltdown. Their food arrived quickly enough, and the kids were happily eating. Our food, however, didn't arrive.... and still didn't arrive. We asked for our food to just be put in to-go boxes whenever it was ready. The kids eventually finished eating, and we knew our time was limited. We tried to call the server over to tell her to just cancel our food and to ask for the check. She didn't even come over to give me the time of day, she just yelled from across the way "Yeah, I told them (the kitchen) already". I was taken aback. Then a few minutes later, she says "they're making the food now". And again didn't give us a breath to even say "we'd just like the check". We had to ask another employee for our check. The kids are 0.05 seconds to a full meltdown at this point. And we are trying to convey to people that we are trying to rush out of this place for the benefit of the rest of the restaurant because we know how disruptive toddler tantrums can be. We did our best to try and cause as little disruption as possible, but the server was anything but helpful, and certainly not accommodating. Finally our food and our checks arrived. It was an awful experience. I won't be back. And to everyone reading- most parents know that we're being judged the minute we walk into a restaurant, we know. But we really are doing our very best and just want to enjoy time together. So please just be patient with us when you see us struggling out there in the world.

Yelp
I'm not going to lie, I only came here for brunch because the place that I originally wanted to go to had a one hour wait and I said nooo thanks so we came here instead. We were seated fairly quickly and were greeted almost immediately. They have a lot of different options for breakfast and lunch. My boyfriend ordered the cozy breakfast which was just eggs, potatoes, and toast. I was feeling more lunchy so I ordered the caprese sandwich. Oh my gosh when I tell you my sandwich was the best I've ever had... I mean that!! My caprese sandwich had cheese and pesto grilled on the OUTSIDE and the meat inside was wow so tender and so good. This sandwich was amazing. I ate every single bite and I wasn't even that hungry. The waffle fries that came with it was like Arby's fries with the waffle shape, BOMB. 10/10 this place was so good. Service was fast, food was amazing. Do not sleep on this restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Cozy Cottage is just that! If you are looking for a restaurant that isn't a chain, friendly service and delicious food this is your new go to! It felt like home immediately upon entering since we were warmly greeted. I had the Blue Bird Benedict with the sauce on the side. It hit the spot and was a great twist on the original! I took a photo but it was on snap chat lol Prices are reasonable. Service was just the right amount of friendly and efficient! The cute outdoor seating would be great on a day when it was a tad warmer! Finally, the ability make a reservation makes it my preference on a Sunday morning!

Payton D.

Yelp
My server Jessie was amazing and very attentive. The whole staff was great and service was fast. Food was also delicious and well worth it. I had bluebird Benny with grits and lemongrass ginger tea. Came back again and my server Anthony was very attentive and on top of everything!

Marsha H.

Yelp
This has become my favorite weekend brunch spot. Great food and service! Love the patio!
google avatar

Deya Z.

Yelp
Good spot for breakfast but brunch implies alcohol, of which there is none! But no fear, they're now BYOB! We've been by a few times for a bite. Each time, it met the basic requirements - decent food, reasonably priced. This is one of the last long time, small business restaurants on Tennyson that hasn't been run out by expensive rents. I appreciate that they haven't completely changed their business model to accommodate the new residents, instead finding a balance between long time customers and new ones.

Nancy E.

Yelp
We came to celebrate our wonderful friend's birthday. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! We highly recommend Cozy Cottage for any occasion. A true 5 star experience! *****
google avatar

Yelp
Get the eggs benedict, you won't be disappointed. Also, get it with the grits then take all the sauce and leftover yoke from the Benedict and mix it with the grits- YUM!

Yelp
DELICIOUS BREAKFAST ! My wife and I were on vacation in Denver, CO staying at our Aibnb house in the Highlands district. On Thursday, September 1st we decided we had to have a fresh made breakfast and chose the Cozy Cottage based on a recommendation from Chris the barista at Novo Coffee. We arrived just before 9am and found a street parking spot across the road. As the name implies it's an old cottage with a large yard featuring a number of umbrellas and 2 large erected shelters to shield diners from the sun. I had a peek inside and it looked pretty drab....I got the impression most customers would choose to sit outside in the fresh air unless it's freezing cold. Even though it was already about 85F we opted to sit at a table under the rear shelter....it looked cooler ! A cheery female server named Jamie came by to check on us within 60 seconds..we hadn't yet scanned the QR Code stuck on the table. I guess printed menus are gone forever. Anyway we worked out what we wanted and when Jamie returned with our glasses of cool water we ordered...1 x CARNITAS HASH ( 2 eggs over a hash of pulled pork, roasted Anaheim chili sand sweet onions, served with Ranchero salsa ) my wife asked for scrambled eggs. While I chose 1 x BLUEBIRD BENEDICT ( 2 eggs, crisp prosciutto and creamed brie over a crisp English muffin, finished with our original asparagus cream sauce ) and I requested hard poached eggs. I asked Jamie about fresh squeezed orange juice and it was a no but she was confident I would enjoy their orange juice so I ordered a small glass of OJ. It wasn't too hot under the huge shaded shelter but right next door a few feet away there was heavy construction noise which made things a tad uncomfortable. A few more customers were quietly trickling in the courtyard patio despite the noisy neighbor. Our breakfast dishes arrived together and look very appetizing. My wife totally enjoyed her Carnitas Hash but stayed way from the Rancho Salsa ( it was very spicy ). My Bluebird Benedict tasted sensational..hard poached eggs perfect, just loved the asparagus cream sauce and my orange juice tasted fine. BONUS ! When I checked in on YELP I got a 10% OFF YOUR DISH DEAL...I took it of course ! Jamie mentioned that Michael the owner was sitting in the dining room so I popped inside with my wife to say hi. A real friendly guy who wears his heart on his sleeve and wants all his customers to feel right at home. And he loves music, guitars and his family. THE FOOD HERE WAS SENSATIONAL !

Jodi L.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Thursday morning in July for breakfast with the family (in town on vacation). Even though the restaurant looks tiny, there was plenty of seating, both inside and out. We chose to sir outside under the covered patio near the back. The service was excellent- very friendly waitress who was attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered the oatmeal (normal size), which was delicious! However, there is a smaller oatmeal under the "Sides" part of the menu that would have probably been plenty for me. My husband ordered the Tennyson with pancakes and he said it was okay. I ate some of his pancakes and they were very very good! The coffee is fresh and hot. One of my daughters had the French toast which she didn't care for. I tasted it and it was a bit on the eggy side. Overall, this was a very tasty place, just a little on the pricey side.
google avatar

Yuki I.

Yelp
Cute little breakfast place that we happened to find when we passed through Denver! I got an earl grey tea with milk - always a good choice! I got the Berkley Park benedict - 2 poached eggs with avocado and pulled pork over Parmesan crusted English Muffin, topped with garlic/rosemary cream sauce. I should have asked for the cream sauce separately, as my benedict was drowned in it.. But it was still pretty good! I love my eggs benedict, especially when it's got the perfect egg pop and drip! I got seasonal fruit as a side. My partner got the Ceaser Chavez omelet (chorizo, onions, tomato, cheddar cheese, Rosa's green chili) with pancakes and potatoes. Very hearty for sure, but tasty! Great fluffy pancakes, too! We had excellent service here!

Yelp
Pretty sad experience Tiny portions. Overcooked. Overpriced. Pissed waitress Very cute spot and nice ambience 2/10. Good for chill, not for food
google avatar

Kate O.

Yelp
One of my favorite brunch places. I love their veggie hash. Delicious food, decent coffee, and good service. There's typically a bit of a wait for good reason but I've never had to wait for more than 20 minutes for a table even if they've told me the wait is longer. Definitely worth it
google avatar

Semina B.

Yelp
Super popular breakfast/brunch spot. Definitely will be a wait, but after 1pm it dies down and a table is easier to get. Impressed with the waiter taking 3 orders without writing anything down and everything came out correct. Food was good and filling for our adventurous hiking day. Definitely could have loaded up on more.

Justine N.

Yelp
Cute place, good service, food was less than average. French toast tasted strongly of eggs, grits are runny and "cheese grits" upcharge is for a light sprinkle of shredded cheese (like comes out of a bag). The salmon Benedict's were fine/average - nothing special, nothing wrong, somewhat small. It's a shame the food was so bad or we'd want to come back for the service & ambiance.
google avatar

Megan B.

Yelp
Daawww! Love this place cause it really does feel like someone's home. Just FYI, there'll be a wait. Haha cute place with all your usual breakfast fixins and I love their homemade jam!! All the coffee comes out in like, nondescript mugs again making you feel like it's someone's home and I think that is just so cute. Overall, good service, good food although not terribly inventive and just a good experience overall.
google avatar

Jody K.

Yelp
My friend and I came here for a late breakfast one day. I love the cute atmosphere; it really did feel like walking into someone's dining room. Their menu selections were different, which is always a nice thing. I had an omelette with brie cheese in it. I'm not sure I liked that cheese choice, but it was an interesting choice. I enjoyed the pancake and the potatoes that came with it as well. I was also impressed by the waiting area, which had lots of books and so forth for children.
google avatar

Julie N.

Yelp
Came here after supporting a friend at her sports event! This place is super cute and very cozy, gives off grandma's cabin kind of vibes. The server was very kind - be aware though, there is no alcohol served at this place - however, she did mention that she can hold our spot if we would like to go to a liquor store and bring our own drinks in - next time!! I got the burger with bacon and avocado add-ons as well as a side of waffle fries - pretty good and decently priced. Thanks Cozy Cottage!
google avatar

KiLee B.

Yelp
Amazing spot! It's cozy for sure and the food is amazing. We got a classic breakfast and the French toast- both were delicious. The French toast wasn't super egg-y which my partner appreciated! The staff was really friendly and the service was super fast.

Samantha T.

Yelp
Delicious breakfast and the atmosphere is so great. Can't wait to go back when it's warmer and sit outside. Service was also good. So cozy!
