Cozy rice has 2 dishes that I'm always on the lookout for. Rice roll and jian bing(Chinese crepe). I came in with friends to try both. We got the rice roll with fried dough and the crepe with lettuce, scallion, cilantro, egg, spicy....
I will say that the rice roll was OK at best. The fried dough was cold and limp, the noodle was cooked OK but nothing to return for. The Chinese crepe however was very good. Hit and fresh and well constructed. Maybe the best I've had in NYC? I gotta go back to Eight Jane in flushing to confirm though. This one is great, especially considering the location. The Atmosphere is simple if not a little grim. Half of the restaurants were closed. The dining area was small and simple. It was clear that the tables are not regularly wiped down during the day.
