Cozymazu - Review - Wedding - Berlin - The Infatuation

"If we had to take refuge anywhere during Berlin winter, we’d choose a Taiwanese tea house, and this one in Prenzlauer Berg even has cozy in the name. Cozymazu is where you go when the world has been cruel to you and the only cure is a turnip cake washed down with a pot of jasmine green tea—or any of the other eight types on offer. The oyster pancake is the best thing on the menu, shortly followed by the tofu ragu rice dish with pickled turnip. You’ll leave feeling all wholesome and fuzzy (or at least nice and full)." - Olivia Ladanyi

I really like it ! Every dishes are great ! And nice experience to get exotic dishes. Next time I will ask them without coriander in the soup. (I didn’t know that) Really nice staff and warm atmosphere. It makes my weekend already nicely.

Finally I managed to try the normal menu I was there already a few times for the breakfast and it was always a blast. Now I was there and eat something from the normal menu. I love the taste and the level of detail. Every meal I tried looks and tastes awesome. Every drink I tasted and every meal tasted really great. I tried 5 times the same drink and all where really consistent and perfect. Coming there again soon.

As a Taiwanese person, I could say the food was only ok. The main dish was overpriced especially in this location so we only ordered small dishes. Even so it was about 20 euro. I have never seen this tapioca dish in Taiwan, so I guess it is creative fusion. The pig blood cake can use more saltiness. At least the tea (4 euro) used real tea leaves instead of teabag. Tbh it was a little disappointing to come all the way there.

It is a very nice small but comfortable restaurant specializing with Taiwan food. They have different menus for weekend brunch and normal dinner. I have not tried their normal dinner menu yet, but I really enjoyed the brunch there. The porridge with meat and the pickled fruit were so nice. I would not recommend a spontaneous visiting, it is better to have a reservation beforehead.

Yelp
Super happy to discover this place. Authentic Taiwanese food, really delicious. We went there on a hot summer day. There were no available seatings outside as everyone was eating there, we went inside but all the windows were opened so it was not at all hot. Ambient was nice and cozy. There were a lot of cold and hot teas to taste and the food was delicious. Can very much recommend it.

Yelp
Delicious authentic and rustic Taiwanese cuisine. I loved the treatment of unusual ingredients like sweet potatoes but the Guabao is the true star of the menu. It's so good you can easily get addicted! A special mention for the amazing varieties of oolong teas, hearty and full of aroma. A true gem.

Yelp
Coming from the USA (well was traveling around). This place was incredible. Had some amazing tea. They have a lot of unique blends. The waitress was so kind and helpful with my limited German knowledge. The flavors and noodles were out of this world. It's very small but they have nice sidewalk seating. Prices on point. Check it out if Berlin!

Yelp
Super authentic--tastes like I'm back in Taiwan. The iced tea, the douhua, the spring onion pancakes... it's pure nostalgia. So great.
