I joined a private Danish pastry class in Copenhagen and it was absolutely amazing! 🥐✨ The experience was fun, hands-on, and so delicious. I learned so much about the art of making authentic Danish pastries, from technique to little baking secrets. Everything we made turned out incredible; crispy, buttery, and flavorful. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Copenhagen who wants to enjoy a truly memorable (and tasty!) experience!

Thank you to Gray and all of the staff to put this brilliantly led class together. Me and my friend booked this as a last activity before we flew back home to London. I highly recommend this class, we learned how to make many different pastries, and got to take them home with us to our families :) Highlight of my trip, second being the canal tour!

Had a great time at the brunch cooking class! The chef was fun, instructions were clear, and the group was super friendly. A lovely experience whether you're a tourist or a resident. Went with my husband and we really enjoyed it!

One of my favorite things we did on our visit to Copenhagen! Highly recommend the danish pastry making class. It was fun to follow along, the instructor was so helpful and sweet, the other students in the class were great and then you get a bunch of pastries to eat in the end. Overall a great time!!!!

Took the cardamom bun class and found it underwhelming. No explanation of the history of the bun and how it’s become such a popular treat in Sweden and Copenhagen. Also gave very minimal instruction which was not helpful so felt like a free for all. They also made you remove the cardamom seeds by hand from the pod and make the filling by hand so we could “feel” how it’s made which I thought was just ridiculous. No modern baker is shelling cardamom pods or making a sugar paste with their fingers at home. Also not an efficient use of people’s time. *edits below following the owners response: If you haven’t taken several cooking classes before or you don’t bake regularly at home, you may enjoy the class more than I did. I don’t think it’s a profound insight to discover that cardamom seeds come inside pods. It’s common knowledge or easily discoverable if you simply walk through a spice store or spice aisle of a market. In other classes I’ve been to in the past, they provide some history about the pastry you are learning about and explanation of techniques used and why. None of which happened in any memorable detail during the 2 hours+ I was there. If you just want a fun activity to do with lower expectations, this is a perfectly adequate class. 3/5 is a fair review in my view sorry if you feel it’s rude of me to be honest!

A Must do!!!! Our family took a private Danish Baking class with Martina. Everyone had a BLAST. My three boys and elderly MIL equally enjoyed the experience. The class was 100% hands on with easy to follow step by step instructions. Our instructor was so warm, friendly, patient and an excellent teacher. She was extremely encouraging and the pastries turned out DELICIOUS! They were flaky, buttery and so tasty. We all felt like superheroes. We made 7 pastries each and after stuffing our faces still had a huge vox of goodies to take home. We ate them when they were just out of the oven and it was heaven. Additionally, the cooking is gorgeous. It’s located in a cute neighborhood on the second floor. It’s spacious, airy, with tons of sunlight and beautifully appointed. If we had more time we would have signed up for another class. Don’t visit Copenhagen without taking a class!!!

Extraordinary! Phenomenal class with Billy where we cooked a delicious menu and he did plate presentations that were plates of art. Easy enough for anyone who loves to cook! Just a delightful and informative evening. If you are looking for outstanding recipes and food do not miss taking a private or group class. Ingredients are common and can be found anywhere. We can’t wait to make this dinner at home! Best cooking class I’ve taken in 50 years!!!!

We did a pastry class as part of a family reunion trip. My sister booked it and I admittedly wasn't horribly excited before we got there (I'm not really a baker) but it turned into a highlight of the trip. We had about 25 people ranging in age from 3 to 82. The instructor managed the chaos of a big boisterous group well. I would definitely recommend it as part of a trip.

Yelp
I booked two classes here- one was for a Nordic dinner meal (which included Duck Confit, Beet & Cheese Tartlets, Creamy mashed potatoes, Tarragon leaflets, Beet Caviar, and complimentary wine) and the other for Cardamom Buns (with a complimentary coffee/tea station.) Both my chefs were extremely knowledgeable and I got to work both with a large group, and then a more intimate one, which allowed for a lot of hands on experience and diverse learning environments! Had so much fun in the kitchen and will definitely be booking again when I come back to visit :)

Yelp
Absolutely a wonderful experience! We took the English-language baking class and made three delicious buns/rolls. It was easy to follow the class (although it might have been better to have a quick flow explanation upfront). The teacher was easy to understand and friendly and engaged. Fellow students were engaged and equally delighted to be there. the space was bright and sunlit; we worked at separate benches and then are at a charming long table in a beautiful room.

Yelp
This was my favorite experience I had while in Copenhagen! My husband and I love to take cooking classes while traveling abroad, and this time he chose to do a Danish Baking class at CPH Cooking Class. We learned to make 6 different Danish pastries or rolls, plus homemade butter. The class was very hands on for everyone involved (we had 6 people in our class). When we were finished, we sat in their lovely dining area to feast on all the delicious baked goods we had just made! My favorite was the cinnamon rolls. There was way too much for us to eat, so we were able to take some home too. We also received a booklet of instructions to make all the recipes at home.

Yelp
An INCREDIBLE experience! I studied in Copenhagen for 5 months and decided to do this class on my last few days. It was so much fun! Not only was the staff super friendly and helpful but the food we made was delicious. We learned how to make all types of traditional danish baked goods. I ate more bread in the 4 hours there than I ate during my entire semester. The space that the class is in is so pretty. They have a lively dining area and kitchen area. When we arrived, the had French pressed coffee waiting and a baked good to snack on while. During the baking process, they made it fun and entertaining. It was easy to follow along with the instructions. They did a great job of getting everyone involved. After all the baking was done, we got to eat! We headed to the dining table where there was fresh pressed juice, coffee, all our baked goods, fresh made butter, cheeses, jams, and more! It was absolutely delicious! They even had schnapps for us to drink. This was truly a great experience! They even gave us recipe booklets to take home so we could recreate our Danish baked goods! Next time I am in Denmark I would definitely do it again! Thank you CPH Cooking Class for an incredible experience! Tak skal du have!

Yelp
Highly suggested cooking class experience. The chef is highly prepared and will teach you every trick in the book for cooking Michelins-star level Danish food. The menu is composed by three courses, all the participants operate like a multi-team restaurant brigade led by the chef to create the meal. You'll also meet a cosmopolitan community of people that will make your experience in Copenhagen unforgettable. You won't regret signing up for this!

Yelp
I had such a fun time at the Danish baking class! I did it as a birthday gift to myself and loved every minute of it. The chefs are wonderful and show you how to make some of the best Danish baked goods. They leave you with the recipes so you can try at home which I plan on doing! Such a great experience for friends and family (or even by yourself).
