C.R. Chicks (PGA Blvd.)

What a disappointment. I came for the grilled meatloaf which I used to love. Every part of this experience was not good. From the order the phone is answered hello. I have to establish I've called the restaurant. We got through that. I show up and it's just not organized. My grilled meatloaf does not appear to be grilled at all. Big disappointment. I won't be back.

CR Chicks is a counter service restaurant. There are no table servers. Much of the menu is unique however. They serve cooked parsley carrots for example. Where else can you get cooked carrots anymore? There is a chilled gazpacho soup that they serve with their homemade croutons and a dollop of sour cream. I love that soup. They serve meatloaf sandwiches and can turn that into a meatloaf dinner. That's a unique offering. They serve a delicious chicken salad sandwich made with their Brazilian fire roasted chicken and fresh homemade bread baked daily on the premises. They also serve a delicious cucumber salad served nowhere else. There's even a Caesar salad with a real anchovy based dressing served with the homemade croutons. It's very rich and tasty. For dessert they also serve homemade chocolate chip cookies and a delicious banana cream pie. There's even a indulgent apple pie as well. It's like comfort food with a unique flair.

What has happened to this place? It used to be the spot. We went in after a long road trip and ordered smokies which were watery and the pasta was way overdone. The two girls working at the counter had nasty attitudes and laughed at us while we ate in the restaurant. They were also watching loud videos on their phones. One of the chefs was in the corner speaking loudly with the phone on speaker. Just a terrible and uncomfortable atmosphere. Used to love it but it’s gone so downhill.

06-12-2024 at 4 pm....Do NOT buy food from this place, I paid $12.52 for a chicken soup and a solo 1/4 chicken (dark) There was 2 small pieces of chicken in the soup and the 1/4 chicken looks like a pigeon, I went back and told the cashier ( some young blonde girl) and she refused to exchanged for a different soup and a bigger chicken. This was a to go order and I realized at the parking lot. DO NOT BUY FOOD FROM THIS PLACE.They need to hire an adults employees and not young girls with attitude.

CR Chicks just officially earned a permanent spot in our family rotation. If you’re a parent, busy professional, or someone who simply refuses to cook when your spouse is out of town, this place is a must.

I order the catering for our company and C.R. Chick's is by far my favorite caterer to work with! Everything you want in a caterer - Delicious food, consistent quality, excellent service, efficient, on-time delivery. They have it all, no need to look elsewhere!

Great quick service! We got the fam meal, I honestly think it's 10x better than 'Pollo Tropical's family meal' with a great portion. The cashier and server were also very catering, thanks, keep it up!

Always good. Rotissary chicken sandwich. White meat breast (includes a wing) 2 sides. All the sides are good. Usually get the pasta salad and carrots. Sometimes I pickup large side items and compliment my own food. Small line at peak times but moves quickly. Parlor-type dining are--I aways takeout and eat it at Twisted Trunk Brewery nearby. Meatloaf w/mashed and the chicken pot pie is good too.

Love CR Chicks Smokey chicken pasta. We order it through a delivery company and it is always very fast and delicious. We love to pair the entree with a cookie. This is a staple delivery option for our family!

Ordered a Togo smoky for the wife. While waiting I had a cup of chicken soup. Flavor could be stepped up a lot. You would think a chicken place would have better chicken broth. The smoky was not as smoky as wife remembers. It was however, still very tasty Dish needs 2 slices of bread. The store operates as if run by Ai.

Long time fan of C R Chicks. Recently my wife was sick and wanted chicken soup and did not want me to go to the effort to make it fresh. So I ordered that and a chicken pot pie. As always, this is classic comfort food and hearty. She enjoyed the soup and I enjoyed the pot pie. Other visits I've had the chicken sandwich and the cucumber salad on the side. Always delish.

I am a mega fan of CR Chicks for one reason and one reason only; their chicken salad sandwich. This chicken salad sandwich eats other chicken salad sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; making it clear that they are the true winner. I forgot there was a CR Chicks in the PGA plaza by Trade Joe's, but glad my wife remembered. We were having a day and she didn't want to cook anything, so I suggested CR Chicks, which she loves. And you don't need to twist my arm when it comes to ordering there with their phenomenal chicken salad sandwich. The creaminess, seasoning, and freshness of the chicken, on a hoagie roll hits the spot every time I order the sandwich. I believe there is hope for the future when I enjoy one. The staff with whom I have engaged in ordering are friendly and fast in service delivery. I didn't wait long for my order, which made the experience perfection.

I want to start off by saying, I love C.R. Chicks and have left glowing reviews at other locations. This location has some concerns. I ordered the Chicken Cesar Salad and it was half the size of other locations ( see photo) and drenched in dressing. I threw it out. The counter help was amazing. I felt bad because the young girl kept asking the manager to start more cookies as she only had 5 left on a busy Saturday and he ignored her the whole 15 minutes I was there. I did call to share feedback on salad and the manager Jared was apathetic. I would not get the Cesar salad here or go to a different location.

chicken breast sandwich has less chicken than other locations and when I brought this up was told that's just how it is. i won't be back.

The newer girl with the light eyes, is incredibly rude. Working in FOOD service at least have a smile on your face and TRY to not be so snobby? The blonde girl is ALSO incredibly rude! (NOT the one that has been there for a while) She's also a tad newer. Do better, we didn't fill out these job applications for you ladies! You took it upon yourself to work at a food establishment. Management do better with who you're hiring especially in a plaza like this one

All I have to say is CR Chicks was fire! Hate I'm not traveling to the area any more because I would love some of their juicy chicken and delectable sides.

I ordered food last night a meatloaf dinner with the mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. When I got my food it had carrots and pasta salad. Not once did they say they did not have what I ordered. They just gave me what they had. Not happy and highly disappointed.

I give CR Chicks my highest rating because it is exactly what it is supposed too be. The chicken falls apart and is wonderfully seasoned. The mashed potatoes have a nice horseradish taste and the green beens are homey. Fresh fruit is an option as is coleslaw. A big plus is the Banana Cream pie for dessert. Chocolate and banana, delicious cream and a nice crust. Equally good Apple Pie. Perfect comfort food.

had a great experience at c.r chicks what stood out to me was the server name was mili she was so respectful and kind and had a great attitude

old fashioned quick chicken place. its nice to see them actually roasting the rotisserie chickens right there. we got a plate with 1/4 white meat and sides of mashed potatoes & rice and beans. my boyfriend swears by the mashed potatoes!

Soggy chicken, cold chicken, what a waste. It is all management fault as filled with employees who did not care or to busy on phone. Was so excited to try, they sure ruined that meal. Two thumbs down!

CR Chicks has been one of my favorite places to eat for over ten years. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and prices are reasonable. I generally get the half chicken platter but Smokey Pasta sauce with chicken has been a staple in my life for many years. Their soups and sides are also amazing especially their black beans and rice. I absolutely love this place and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Great company and great food. I've been eating at various CR Chicks for over a decade. They always have had great food and service. My recommendations are the pulled pork sandwich, the smokey, and always their chocolate chip cookies.

Great amazing food kind loving people it's a hole in the wall but you eat here you will not regret it had their chicken pot pie garlic bread and when I tell you they got the best chicken in all town I'm not kidding fast quick service and kind people!

My entire family has be eating here since they first opened on Northlake Blvd. We eat here every Sunday lunch and it's must revisit for our out of towners. Service is quick, food is the very best around for reasonable prices. Their secret recipes for the Smokey Chicken and C and A are amazing. Keep up the excellent work

This place is super cool ! It's a nice small place with a simple menu. The chicken is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I wish I could have tried their homemade bbq sauce! They have a big chicken display so you can see how they bake their chicken and it tastes sooooo freaking delicious!! Omg their cucumber salad is delicious as well! I grew up eatting it and you don't see a lot of places, if any, offer it. It has a really good flavor! Everything has such good flavor! I HIGHLY recommend trying this place! Their tables have really nice designs and it's different. I love that they have signs so that customers can read their story! YAY CHICKEN!

The food here is always fresh and the chicken is amazing. I tried their penne pasta dish paired with half a loaf of garlic bread ($1) and I was not disappointed!

This place never disappoints. I've been coming here for over ten years and the foods always great, workers always friendly. Get the Smokey pasta!!! Otherwise the bread and mashed potatoes here are really good too

Been going there for years and must admit the quality of their food is beyond approach. I would recommend to anyone looking for rotisserie chicken. Not to mention their pasta all over the top.

Cheaper to buy a meal at CR Chicks, than to cook at home!!! The food is healthy, the staff is great, especially the dedicated gentleman who has been cooking the chicken there for quite sometime.

The location on Northlake is great but this one on PGA has the worst customer service.

Got the a whole chicken quartered, was burnt. Wasn't worth the $16 you pay for a whole bird. Which is almost 3 times as much as a Publix bird... And you won't get it it as burnt as how I got mine. Got a chicken sandwich,was $8.25. Was a waste. 1 piece of breast split between 2 sandwich halves. Felt kinda ripped off. Just got bread, mayo, lettuce and tomato for $8. Posted pics as well.

We visited this location for lunch and were greeted by the staff as soon as we walked into the restaurantI ordered a Caesar Salad with 1/4 Chicken which was excellent. The salad comes with romaine lettuce, chicken, croutons and grated cheese. The dressing is very good and they will dress the salad or put the dressing on the side. My son ordered the smoked chicken with penne pasta and that is his go to dish. The pasta is made with tomato basil cream sauce and he said it was very good. There are a number of CR Chicks locations and we have visited many of them. Their food is consistent and customer service spot on. I have also ordered from their catering for work. Good option if you have to provide food for a company meeting.

We have been eating at CR Chicks for years and never had a bad meal. The Smokey is a family favorite and we get it in large portions for parties throughout the year. The chicken sandwich is delicious and the family meal is our go to dinner when we are in a time crunch. You can't go wrong with cr chicks ever! Oh and their chocolate chip cookies are amazing.

First time. Well organized and on their game during lunch crush. Line moved along nicely. Ordered a quarter chicken white with sides of sliced carrots and cucumber salad. The chicken was moist and tender but didn't have the flavor of say LaGranja or Pollo Tropical roasted chicken. The sides were fantastic. Getting a seat during lunch is a bit difficult but pretty fast turnover. Definitely will return if I am in the area.

Was walking by this restaurant when I noticed dozens of rotisserie chickens rotating on a spit over a fire and not to mention the aroma cooking from the restaurant. My sister and I decided to order half a chicken to go. We got a side of rice with black beans and the cucumber salad. Total came up to $8. The server got our plate to us super fast, it was great. Friendly and timely workers! The sides were delicious and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. I recommend getting some of their house made bbq sauce to go with the chicken. It wasn't busy at all. If you've never been, I highly recommend giving this spot a shot. Nothing like a simple quick and tasty meal!

Delicious food at an affordable price. Chicken is very tender, juicy and flavorful. My favorite side dishes are the carrots and the rice & beans.

This is a home style restaurant. The staff could have been a little bit more friendly and helpful as we had never been here before and weren't sure what to order. There were 3 of us eating and we ordered 5 drumsticks (which comes with two sides), a house salad and a chicken pot pie and it was the perfect amount. It was a lot of food for the price. The chicken was delicious and I was loving the honey-mustard dressing on the salad. The pot pie was runny but my husband still loved it.

Food here is pretty decent. It's flavorful and served fast. My complaints are all of the plastic bags, Styrofoam containers, and the freshness of food they serve. This is Palm Beach County and right down the street from the intracoastal, however, the owners aren't environmentally responsible enough to stop using Styrofoam containers and plastic bags. Also, not all food is cooked fresh that same day. I noticed a few dishes were getting pulled out of plastic wrap and put on the stove to heat up. You would hope that a restaurant serves fresh food every day, otherwise I could just go to the freezer section at Trader Joe's down the street and heat up my own food.

CR Chicks is so good that I make it a point to stop in every time I'm in the area. All of their food is delicious and fresh. Some highlights: Smoked penne pasta: Also called the "Smokey," this is CR Chick's signature dish. If you order it, you'll see why. The pasta sauce is creamy but not too thick. It's accompanied by some tender chicken strips and awesomely thick shredded cheese. I used to eat this pasta a few times a week -- yes, it is THAT good. Regular chicken: For a place called CR Chicks, it's probably not very surprising that the chicken is a highlight. Well, it totally is. It's good chicken. You can actually see it being roasted right in front of you which is cool. Always juicy. Always good. Vegetables: The carrots and mashed potatoes can't be beat here, but the mashed potatoes are ESPECIALLY good. They're mashed red potatoes which are super yummy. Little bits of potato skin can be found in the mashed potatoes and it's not gross, it is excellent. The carrots are slightly buttered and are also a top choice as well. Basically everything is good here. Great local place to eat.

Fantastic rotisserie chicken. All of the side dishes are amazing. The chicken pot pie is really good. The staff is very friendly at this location and the service is very quick. We go here often and never have been disappointed.

This is one reason I miss living in Palm Beach County, I miss this restaurant! It's always clean, the staff is always friendly and the food is always fresh and prepared just for you. Great place for lunch!

Nothing but love for CR Chicks! Admittedly, some of it may have to do with nostalgia-- my sisters and I grew up in PBG and have always love this place. Native Southern Floridians share 2 food loves: Publix (the OJ and the subs to be exact) and CR Chicks =D. But let's get back on track. Every time I come home now and go to CR Chicks, I am amazed at the consistently high quality--all these years and nothing beats that rotisserie chicken! And the prices have barely changed in a good 10-15 years! (Ex. you can get 2 meals, each of 5 pcs drumsticks, each with 2 sides, and it costs $9 out the door =O!! whaaaaa??? crazy) Fave sides: Cole slaw (ok not gourmet or special but a solid slaw) Horseradish Smashers (yes it seems the whole world does this NOW, but hey they've been doing it forever) Carrots (sweet sweet carrots) Pasta primavera (who doesn't like pasta salad) Black beans and Rice (my mom's fave) I guess I've never ordered any of the other "dishes", but if you come here, really it should be for the rotisserie chicken. My home location is the one on Northlake Blvd.; we usually do take out. The other location I've been to is the one on PGA-- we always go here on the way to Juno Beach--nothing beats a CR Chicks pic-a-nic beach day! My favorite way to spend a day when I visit home. You should do this. Now. GO!

Rude employees & management is no better. I'll spend my money elsewhere. With all the other food establishments in the area to choose from, their loss!

Ate lunch here twice last week and today did take out Great food good service . Very good quality chicken very moist and side dishes are also very tasty

Always delicious, super consistent food. The staff and service here are top notch! I have never had a bad meal here. The chocolate chip cookies are the best around and my 3 year old daughter just declared this is her favorite place! Penne pasta with oil since she has a dairy allergy, and she ate every last bite! My linguini primavera with chicken was amazing! Nice change up from my normal favorite of the chicken breast sandwich. Highly recommend this location!

I never eat fast food but this is light years beyond ! Healthfully prepared, great side choices and quick. So tasty! It's our go to place now for take out but you can eat there too. Chicken Pot Pie is scrumptious and 1/2 chicken is generous for 1 person but not quite enough for 2.

Terrible services !! had to report my very simple order of 2 salads with just chicken and lettuce multiple times. THEN gets my order completely wrong ! just terrible kristen and whoever the blonde girl with the blue mask working just terrible. will never order from here again .

I love this place! The chicken salad sandwhich is awesome! It's not something i would typically go out and order but it just happened one day and stuck! Not to mention when amyone is sick they have the best chicken soup in town! Homey and quick the perfect recipe! I love this place and im pretty sure ill be eating lunches with my friends there and getting soup everytime we're all sick for years to come!

I take out here at least once or twice a week, my favorite restaurant. Great, fresh, and fast food! Make sure you grab a chocolate chip cookie too!

Hubby and I decided to try this place on our way home from the beach! It was a nice casual atmosphere, the staff was pleasant. I had the Chicken Breast Sandwich and my husband had the 1/2 Chicken with 2 sides. My food was okay, my hubby had to basically douse a bottle of Hot Sauce for some flavor on his chicken. Didn't really care for the selection of sides that was given... I really really didn't like that no one working and serving food had on a hairnet. They should make an effort to cover their hair when working around food like that... Bottom line, while this wasn't my worst experience, I probably won't return...

I stopped by here on a friend's recommendation. I was told that I needed to try the horseradish smashers - a form of mashed potatoes. The location I visited had a long counter in front of an open kitchen. You order at the counter and they give you your meal and pick a seat. Prices are quite reasonable as well. I ended up trying the horseradish smashers and a quarter chicken. The food was excellent. The chicken is cooked rotisserie there. It was super flavorful and very moist. The mashed potatoes were great too. Super tasty with a hint of horseradish. While I enjoyed them, I'd have even been good with a more significant horseradish element. Quite enjoyed them as is though. I also dig the fact that they make everything from scratch fresh every day.
