Great experience and delicious, meaty, and well-seasoned crabs. Got half a bushel which was packed up and carried to my car. They take cash and card. Will go back!

The Crab Hut never misses!! Always cooked to perfection and to order. The owner is responsive when you call with questions. Very personable....provides a drive up location for pick-up and pay! The crabs order #1, great size, and heavy I ordered the season on the side. I mix it in my butter dipping sauce. 2-dozen crabs, 2 lbs shrimp This is my go-to place for crabs, and I recommend 10/10

Heard about this spot from a friend. Glad I tried em! I bought 1 dozen male crabs for about $60. They were seasoned just right and had a good size on them. It was quick service as well. Took me about 7 minutes and I was gone! Definitely recommend if you want some good crabs.

I purchased a dozen male crabs. These crabs were extremely small for males also, the crabs were empty. No meat whatsoever. With this dozen, it would equal 1 maybe 2 Jumbo male crabs. I don't understand why they would sell such empty crabs. You can when when a crab is empty or not. I literally paid, for a dozen of empty male crabs. The crabs were fresh, that wasn't an issue but hardly any meat. Unsure, if I will return.

This is now my go to for crabs. Consistently well steamed, decently sized crabs. The price point is comparable and or better than most. Appears Family owned and operated and is appreciated no language barriers as seen in other area blue crab operations.

Today was my first time visiting the Crab Hut and I must say, these are by far THE BEST crabs I have had in the Richmond Va area . Not to mention the OUTSTANDING customer service. Super friendly, and professional . I have definitely found my new favorite spot for crabs. I don’t live near but it’s totally worth my drive!!!

Extra big shout out to Q and the staff at the Crab Hut... I called Q when I was in Alabama and asked if he could please hold an order for me and without hesitation he came through like a champ I flew in from Alabama to Richmond and my crabs and shrimp was ready and he stayed true to his word !!!! Support black owned business and local small biz.... the Crabs and shrimp was awesome my family loved the Mother’s Day meal!!!!!...

It's a venue where you pull up and get crab, shrimp, etc. I got a dozen #1 males 🦀 for $50 they were very tasty. Best price in town too! 👌 Edit: back on Saturday, June 24, 2023 and nabbed shrimp 🍤, plus another dozen of #1 male 🦀! 😋 😋 😋

First time coming here, the employees were very kind and generous with their time and able to talk me through the different size and gender of crabs. They hooked me up with a wonderful dozen female crabs that I had to share with my neighbor! They were sweet and fresh And a couple had some wonderful roe inside!!

We got blue jumbo crabs and snow crab legs here last weekend. They were super good. I love the amount of seasoning on the crabs. The seasoning of the butter was super good too, lemon pepper is my favorite. The service was the best- the guy was so sweet and he bought everything to the car when it was ready. I will definitely return before i leave VA

I love crab hut and #] males went down 5!$. . The young man and his father are very attentive to customers request and he gives me extra crab legs on request I will have to get back there before November 2nd or I'll have to wait until next season

Whenever I come back to VA during crab season I HAVE TO stop by this guys place. Always friendly people there! His crab seasoning is A1 in my own opinion. I also purchased extra seasoning to take back to GA because why not! They are pretty pricey BUT I'm not home often so it's a treat for me!

Great little spot for quality crabs they give extra seasoning if you ask and they are so polite and accommodating 10/10 my go to place!

This brothers crabs be kickin. Checked out his reviews with many saying he's the best in Richmond and he is. Got a dozen and a half #1 jimmies. They were fresh, hot and chock full of meat. Service was prompt and professional. Crabs were delicious and priced right. Will definitely be back.

Really GOOD crabs! Excellent price! Guy bagging crabs (owner?) is not friendly at all (my experience with him more than once), but the young man at the register is very nice. Keep being nice. You are appreciated, son.

Very good and well seasoned!!! #1 Males were heavy with a lot of meat, even the smaller were heavy too. Didn't get a dozen only 11 was in bag.

I am from Maryland and I. Haven't found anyone that prepares crabs like I am used to having. Finally !!!!! I got a tip about the crab hut. They were good fresh and seasoned just right. Customer service was excellent. Definitely will be returning

Absolutely the BEST in the area! Great customer service! Any time I am in VA from upstate NY I make it a point to come by and get a bushel or more of these delicious crabs for my family and friends to feast on while we drink and catch up! These folks work hard to keep their customers happy!

The food was great but I was cheated out of 4 crabs. I watched him bag other orders and count off each crab. The thing that blew me was he was counting. And I know for a fact he don't give nobody no extras. So he's being very sneaky about it! COUNT YOUR CRABS BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!

The crab hut is absolutely amazing! The customer service was excellent! Everyone was friendly and helpful. We preordered a 1/2 bushel of male crabs but were running late for our pickup time. We called to update them about our delayed arrival and they reassured us that our crabs would be there and ready. They did not disappoint! Our crabs were fresh and hot when we got there. The crabs were delicious and seasoned to perfection! They layered the seasoning throughout the box so every crab had seasoning on it! They are definitely 5 stars! This will be our place to get crabs from now on when we are in Richmond! Thank you Crab Hut for such a wonderful experience!

Do not do not waist your time and money! You have been warned! On 6.22.19 around 2pm I ordered #1's and what I got were small light weight crabs for $35.99. I used to come to this place about 20 yrs ago when the old man ran it...THERE IS NO COMPARISON..no quality here! I was on my way to the Seafood place across the street from Southside Plaza they had #1's for 32.99 and saw that his place was open. ( I like to support small minority businesses) Never again! When i pulled in the man was chit chatting with another male laughing. I asked for the price and he told me and kept talking to the man. I started to leave because he was so short with me but i backed the car up and parked (something said support your people) I was the only customer there and I was just standing there. He finally asked me did i want the crabs. I guess i just pull up, get out of the car and stand in front of you waiting to be served for no reason huh? He put the crabs in the bag, I paid and left. Never did he care to interact with me. It's just a turn off and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Nobody said thanks, thank you, goodbye. I am so pissed they have my 36.00. Never again. They have a lot to learn. The only reason there is 1 star is because I had to select it in order to post.
