The Best Kid-Friendly Family Restaurants in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"Getting messy, wearing a bib, and eating with your hands goes for everyone here. With three locations scattered from downtown to the Convoy District, families can get to an outpost without too much complaining on the way to the homegrown Louisiana seafood kitchen. While seafood boils with a choice of sauces, ranging from garlic butter to Cajun sensation, are the specialty, kids meals range from chicken tenders to mac n cheese, which also comes with fries or corn on the cob and a drink. Battered fish and chips and garlic noodles are other kid-friendly options on the regular menu." - Helen I. Hwang

My friend took me here for their happy hour special. We sat in the bar area and had a very nice waiter. I ordered a glass of merlot and it was not very good. I ended up having a blood orange lager that was delicious after. The restaurant was not busy on a weeknight so it was relatively quiet. We had the popcorn shrimp, crab poppers, and sausage sliders. We like the popcorn shrimps but will skip the sliders next time. We ordered the Bucket for One combo and the SNS (Snow Crab and Shrimp) bucket. Both were perfect for 1-2 people. I really like the huge amount of garlic and all the flavors in the sauces. So yummy! We also ordered the jambalaya. It was a huge proportion and we only ate about ⅓ of it. It'll be perfect for lunch the next day.

Food was good. Service was ok. Check your receipt for additional charges for tips for the kitchen staff. Parking wasn't too difficult to find at this location.

Although the dungeness crab and other market priced seafood are marked up considerably, the other dishes like the jambalaya and seafood Creole were delicious and an excellent value due to large portions. Service was excellent too. Be aware they include an 18% tip automatically.

Last weekend, we decided to go for a crab bake at Crab Hut and ended up sampling two of their enticing dishes. The restaurant was a well-organized space adorned with a charming oceanic theme. We ended up sitting outside in the sun and it was amazing, although the interior was equally inviting. Parking was a breeze, especially if you opt for the southern end of the lot rather than vying for a spot directly in front of the establishment. Our dining experience kicked off with stellar customer service. It's worth noting that a gratuity of 18% is automatically included in the bill—an arrangement we found reasonable given the exceptional service we received. In fact, our waitress went above and beyond, promptly seating us with a warm smile and attending to our needs with remarkable attentiveness. Despite the tip being pre-added, we felt inclined to add more as a token of appreciation for the outstanding service. Turning to the food, we started with a serving of calamari and fries. While the portion sizes justified the price, we found the calamari lacking in flavor and seemed overcooked. However, the fries salvaged the appetizer, boasting a satisfying crunch and delightful seasoning. For our main courses, we opted for the Spicy Cajun Pasta and the Spicy Jambalaya. Both dishes were executed flawlessly, with the pasta perfectly cooked and infused with just the right amount of spice to complement the succulent shrimp. The Jambalaya, teeming with an abundance of seafood and meat, surprised us with its robust flavor profile. Though I would have preferred a bit more heat, the dish still left a lasting impression. In conclusion, our dining escapade at Crab Hut left us with a generally positive impression. While the appetizer fell short of expectations, the exceptional service and well-prepared entrees more than made up for it. We look forward to revisiting Crab Hut in the future for another taste of their enticing seafood offerings.

Google
My party and I had multiple items: crab and shrimp combo, lobster boil, and several snow crab and king crab orders. We got the full house seasoning and 1/2 med spiciness. Everything was great and the flavoring never disappoints. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because you have to order bread on the side, and I feel like the sausage and potatoes have been cut back. They now tack on an 18% service fee.

Pricey but at least you will have a good place to hang out with friends.

Google
Our service was good however the food not so much. My fish and chips were plentiful however the taste was meh. My hubby said his shrimp scampi was good. The coke was syrupy. The price is a great deal more than I would normally see. I also disagree with the forced gratuity. In all honesty just go to a different place

Google
came here for the first time awhile ago and was a huge fan! Ive been back a few times since. We got the crab and shrimp with the Cajun sauce! For anyone who likes spice, you'd love it. We added some white rice on the side and it hit the spot. I've lived in this area for awhile so I'm shocked it took me so long to come here. The food was served quick & the service was great. Portions were a bit small in my opinion but it's still worth it. Will definitely come back soon!

Yelp
We came here on a Sunday for dinner around 5pm. They were able to accommodate our party of 7 with ease. Nice ambiance of people eating seafood We ordered the seafood bucket, hut wings, jambalaya, (3) steamed rice, and (3) kids meals. The total was $287 plus the mandatory 18% gratuity. I highly recommend the hut wings and seafood bucket. The house sauce is delicious! - Seafood Bucket Combo with House Sauce: 9/10 - Hut wings: 9/10 - Spicy Jambalaya over linguine: 2/10 not recommended! The food we liked was delicious, I just wish they had better prices.

Yelp
Great customer service from our server, Mai -- there was a mistake in the beginning where nobody came for 30 minutes, but Mai took our role as server after I let her know and she told us there was a miscommunication error! They also compensated us with dessert on the house. Nice to see accountability and good service in a restaurant! Food was good as well! I recommend the shrimp with full house sauce! Garlic noodles were delicious and not too oily. Will come again!

Yelp
GREAT FOOD! GREAT SERVICE! Everything tasted so good, soo much sauce too! Loved that I got to wear a bib to protect my clothes because I was eating in up! Seafood was very fresh! Place is very modern, next to some dessert places too! Clean location :) 10/10. Drove from LA just to eat here!

Yelp
Friendly, family owned place that throws one heck of a party! It was their annual Tiki Christmas in July party. Come on now... special drinks and menu for the night, great Hawaiian three piece band (who sounded amazing) and two young ladies that danced the hula (unplanned but also amazing). The owners themselves are a joy to be around and local regulars agree and love it. We only stopped in for a quick drink and stayed until closing. It doesn't get better than this. I will go back and highly recommend it. Even though it won't be as special as Christmas in July, the food is still delicious!

Yelp
[Food] Happy Hour - Dozen Oysters ($36; HH $18): Oysters were fresh and included a few condiments depending on what you like. I prefer vinegar, lemon, and Tabasco sauce. I quite enjoyed it and ate the most out of our group, especially because it was happy hour! Cheers! - 1/2lb Shrimp ($12.85): Pretty good. Not overcooked and flavors were decent. [Service] - Friendly, attentive, fast [Ambiance] - Chill and spacious - Good amount of parking in the plaza but will be a bit crowded during peak hours. [Overall] - Fun chill place to hang out and enjoy food!

Yelp
This review has been long overdue. We have been to this crab hut many times and it always delivers. The staff is consistently friendly and find a way to talk to customers. Our usual order includes a bag of corn, jagged sweet and traditional potatoes, along with 3-4 lbs. of shrimp served with white rice. The food we ordered was all flavorful with the shrimp being prepared and marinated well in garlic. The sauces passed through the shrimp, making it hard to resist peeling and sipping these crustaceans. The garlic-flavored corn was also enjoyable with each bite. The potatoes are perfectly cooked. Every visit leaves us with a belly full.

Yelp
Wow, I love their happy hour deals! Came here with a friend on a Wednesday night and it was not too busy. Bar is open seating and we got a seat right away, and served by the bartender in a timely manner. It was a lot of food for a great price. We didn't order seafood this time around but next time I will, I always enjoy their boil! Also, be aware that 18% gratuity is always included in every dine-in order. My friend and I split the total and paid $24 each. food ordered - 6 oysters (50% off $9.50) - I like their oysters! tasted fresh and came with a few toppings like tabasco, lemon, vinegar - 2 draft beers ($6 ea) - I got the SD Brewing Co Blueberry Wheat and I recommend! The blueberry flavor is prominent and it was easy to drink. My friend got the Cali Creamin and I also liked it, it was quite creamy! - 12 Hut wings ($9) - such a good deal! Their hot sauce isnt too spicy. We got sauce on side which I like so we got to control how much sauce we got. - crab poppers ($8) - yummy fried and cheesy that paired great with the beers

Yelp
I love you Crab Hut!!!! We came on a Friday around 8pm and we were sat almost immediately. I'm not completely sure if Gina is her name, but that was the name that was on her receipt. But if it is, Gina was our server tonight and she was so friendly! Everyone here is always nice, but shoutout to Gina! We ordered the shrimp and clam full house hot and snow crab full house KO and it was delicious as always and spicyyyy! Nose was running and everything haha. Always gotta get some rice too to balance it out. Next time I'd be interested to try out the ramen noodles with the boil Thank you Crab Hut for always filling up our tummies with yummy food!!!

Yelp
You will spend a mortgage payment on a meal here but it's crab and butter and garlic -- spend it crab is cooked perfectly and the sauce and spice options are delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
I love crab legs. And Crab Hut is so much fun with the bibs and gloves and the food all spread out on the table. The times I've been we've made it for happy hour so we start with 50% off oysters, so that's a win already. Then, the SNS (crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn) is the go-to with Old Bay butter, and I almost always add more crab legs and rice to the mix. It's actually making me hungry right now thinking about it. I've also tried the fish and chips and claw chowder, both good, but it's all about the crab legs for me. The service is always on point and quick to bring out food. I've been to this location and the one downtown with equally positive experiences. However, because of the ample parking in this location, I give it the edge.

Yelp
Havent ate this for awhile so decided to give this a try again since the prior time wasnt that great anymore. This time seems like the taste have gotten worse. Didnt have the original flavor since crab hut started. I wouldve thought the recipe was all portioned out already to keep the flavor consistent. We ordered the seafood bucket and SnS. Both with full house. One mild and the other one spicy. Both was very salty which killed our meal. SMH. Not eating there no more. Also, not worth the drastic price increase!
google avatar

Yelp
The Cajun seafood boil is the best at crab hut in my opinion. There are acouple crab huts located in San Diego. They do not hold back on the seasoning and garlic. The restaurant is decorated as marine as usual seafood places. And I would say it's usually loud b/c everyone is taking amongst their tables. I got the bucket for one with full house seasonings, KO spice w/ a side of rice. Spice was perfect, one thing I would have enjoyed if my food was steaming hot when served, but regardless delicious. They provide bibs and gloves to because it handsy food and can get messy. I do recommend reserving a spot for your party a few hrs ahead.

Yelp
Food was delish. Service was awesome, but the price was ridiculous. 18% gratuity for 3 people is crazy. Our food cost was $180 and taxes and gratuity was an additional $50. What?! The food is good, BUT is it worth it?! It was quiet in there with the exception of staff talking at the register/side station.
google avatar

Yelp
Crabs are always very tasty and warm I can usually count on crab hut to satisfy my sea food cravings!

Yelp
Bland and forgettable. I showed up on a Sunday evening and the place was almost empty. Prices were more expensive than usual. $20+ for live crawfish, $20+ for clams. For reference, The Boiling Crab was selling crawfish for $17 and clams for $12. Since I was skeptical about the food based on prices and how empty the place was, I kept it light with crawfish with corn and sausage and crawfish and shrimp mix. Full house flavor and mild spice. The bags arrived and I could barely smell the garlic or any seasoning. Tasting them confirmed the blandness. Crawfish and shrimp texture were good but there was no taste to them. 2 small pieces of sausage and 1/3 of a corn, pretty stingy. They wanted $5 for a side of rice and $5 for soda, no thank you. At this point I refused to spend any more money due to substandard food quality and outrageous prices. I don't mind paying more if the food is delicious but this is not the case for this restaurant. They charge 30-100% higher than The Boiling Crab located 5 minutes down the street. I hope the owner read this review and rethink their business plan. I was craving crawfish but after eating here I had to go to The Boiling Crab right after to truly satisfy my craving.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday night and got seated right away. We made it just in time for happy hour so we ordered 6 oysters to share. After happy hour, we ordered clam chowder, crab rangoons, 1 pound of shrimp, and 1 pound of crawfish. We asked ahead of time if the crawfish was seasonal but our server said they were frozen. We ordered both bags with the full house sauce and it was so buttery and tasty. Our server Jen was so sweet and attentive to us! She even offered to split the clam chowder in 2 bowls because she knew we were sharing. Overall, the food and experience was great! The only item I didn't like were the crab rangoons. They were too salty. The crab was overpowering and it needs more cream cheese filling.

Yelp
My obsession for seafood continues after recently checking out this Crab Hut! I've been to the convoy location before and knew what to expect. We came for a family members birthday and had a short wait before we were seated. Our server Gina did a great job since there were a couple people who hadn't been to the restaurant before. She was helpful in recommendations and super friendly. I ordered the shrimp with the full house sauce that came with potatoes and corn. It was so delicious! My dad ordered the Go To Town after seeing it displayed on a sign at the table. I laughed a little thinking that he could share that with someone but everyone had already ordered. Although he ordered the Go To Town (and didn't check the price lol) he was determined to eat as much as possible. He loved all of it! After we finished our entrees, Gina brought out a cute little dessert with a lit candle. It was the perfect end to a tasty meal!

Yelp
Food was great, the service was okay, place wasn't as busy which was fine because we got seated right away, but this will be the last time we are visiting crab hut , I felt so robbed after receiving my bill, we got a couple beers, seafood boil and an appetizer (wings) also rice and a soda. Automatically got charged 18% gratuity for a party of 2 !!! One small bowl of rice was $5 bucks ! And a cup of soda was $5 bucks ! Bill came out to $200 ! Sorry crab but your prices are way high we won't be coming back.

Phuonganh D.

Yelp
The food is outstanding. The service is wonderful. The ambiance is good or family. Highly recommended this restaurant and we went during happy hour.
google avatar

Deanne L.

Yelp
It's not bad, I just don't see myself coming back. I usually frequent other similar places with the same concept, but wanted to try something different. We ordered 2 lbs of shrimp and 1 lb of mussel, both with the Full House sauce, as well as 6 oysters. The Full House sauce is not flavorful; it was bland, watery, and not thick enough for my liking. Shrimp seemed overcooked and was hard to peel. Best thing was the oysters in my opinion. They tell you right away that there's an 18% gratuity... so all of this plus a beer and margarita, cost over $150. It didn't seem worth it.

Skylar H.

Yelp
Got horrible seafood poisoning and had to be hospitalized. Management was also extremely rude and not helpful. DO NOT COME HERE

Yelp
Is this me or is it ass backwards at crab hut? Automatic 18% gratuity for a few drinks from a bartender who refused to honor the happy hour all month long at the bar bc we went to say hello to a few friends who were dining in the back of the restaurant. We get emails and see ads about this happy hr yet when we tried to order at the bar the first thing the bartender says is that we will have to pay full price bc we are part of the party in the back whom we did not dine with. This makes no damn sense and makes me frustrated. My husband asked to talk to someone else and all the bartender did was walk off and talk to someone where they said they would honor 1 round. That's total BS advertising so be warned of this crap at this establishment. Is it crab hut or crap hut? Come here and get crapped on bc we send BS advertisements and refuse to honor it.
google avatar

Michele M.

Yelp
My friend and I were looking for a place to eat in Mira Mesa and ended up here. We were seated immediately and told to scan the QR code for the menu. The first screen that pops up is the explanation on how they automatically add an 18% service charge to all checks and are required by the state of CA to tax us on that service charge. And then tipping was up to us. Really? We decided to get the Happy Hour wings. 12 wings for $9.00 and we asked for the sauce on the side. The sauce was good but the wings were not seasoned at all. We also ordered a plate of calamari and fries for $17.86. The calamari was chewy and had no flavor whatsoever. The Cajun fries were waffle fries and might have been the highlight of the meal. They also charged $5.50 each for a Diet Coke and an iced tea! We thought that was ridiculous. We decided we won't be back because we don't mind paying high prices for good food but we do mind paying for mediocre food.
google avatar

Jiaxin G.

Yelp
The price of seafood bucket has gone up again! I remember the old days when it was around $75. And then $90. Then $110. Then $130. Then $150 this week. The flavor is still good. I think we got pretty good seafood this time! The green muscle tasted fresh. I don't remember tasting green muscle this fresh before. The snow crab and shrimp also tasted plump and sweet. It's so much better than the last time! However, both my cholesterol level and wallet can't handle the seafood bucket anymore LOL
google avatar

Melodee Marie G.

Yelp
I do come here literally once a month. I always need my fix for a seafood boil and this place never seems to have a wait. They have changed the fries and OMG I am OBSSESSED. I love the fact that they are waffles and crinkle cut now. We went on a Sunday and this place does maintain a decent number of customers. I do find that maybe it is scarcer in customers due to the fact that the cost here is a little more expensive in comparison to other seafood places. I can tell you that the food is always good perfectly to the point where it is not too hard to peel or crack the seafood. I do highly suggest opening the bag and curling it into a bowl, so it does not overcook completely with all the trapped air inside.
google avatar

Flora L.

Yelp
Crab Hut is a Cajun/Creole Seafood restaurant. They have happy hour on Weekdays from 3-7pm with some great deals. The oysters I ordered were 50% off! Their oysters were fresh and the had a great variety of sauces. The sauces were a little bit bland though but I did enjoy them with the tabasco and lemon. Their seafood boil was amazing because of how flavorful their sauce was. I ordered medium spicy and it was manageable. The crawfish, shrimp, and crab legs were amazing quality. The crab legs had a lot of meat! The service was fast and my server was very attentive and friendly! The ambiance was great too with good lighting.

Yelp
Will forever be my favorite place to eat in San Diego! Convoy & Mira Mesa are beautiful restaurants with cool underwater designs. The entire menu is delicious, the seafood is fresh, & the service is always great!

Kim M.

Yelp
The food, ambience, the host, and our server were phenomenal. 10/10 the spicy jambalaya linguine style so good. Ton of crawfish in it! Yum
google avatar

Yelp
Come here for the full house shrimp... if seafood isn't your thing .. get the happy hour chicken wings! You know it's good when your hands are too dirty to take pictures of the food
google avatar

Susie T.

Yelp
The food was terrible! The shrimp was so pasty I didn't even eat it. The oysters were shucked badly with oyster shell bits. The service wasn't great. I am wondering if they are like gen bbq and share tips, bc I had various servers serving me. The bartender was nice.
google avatar

Shahrooz S.

Yelp
188 dollars( include %7 tip ) for this bowl!!! Foods quality was bad!! They mentioned 129 for this bowl but my check was 188 dollars! Worth maximum 50!!! Super pricey and ridiculous.
google avatar

Cathee C.

Yelp
A love the vibe here for lunch! They have a great outdoor patio that allows you to grub while people watch. The food, delicious. The Cajun wings were good appetizers but the wings were small and could be more flavorful in spice. For $15, I'd skip on these next time. Husband and I shared the Bucket for One, full house sauce, medium spicy ($55). It came with snow crab, shrimp, crawfish, mussels, clams, corn on the cob, potatoes and andouille sausages. At first, we didn't think the medium was spicy. But we felt the heat towards the bottom where all the sauce pooled. It burned so good! The Bucket for One was good to share but definitely get an appetizer or side of rice/noodles to be more filling. Service was friendly and there was no wait for a weekend lunch whereas there was an hour wait for Manna and Little Sakana nearby. Tip: dip the seafood in a little lime and S&P to brighten the flavor and cut the spice and salt!
google avatar

Felicia R.

Yelp
Went here for the first time a month ago and enjoyed a bag full of shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn, and oysters. The yummy garlic flavor stays with you for awhile so be prepared lol. They give you a bib too if you want to go ham! And gloves as well. I need to go back and try the crab legs next! I shared this with one other person but I think 3 people may have been able to share this as well!

Yelp
If you love seafood, this is the place to go. Crab Hut is a must-visit for seafood enthusiasts. The restaurant offers a delicious selection of seafood dishes, the food was absolutely delicious, with a particular highlight being the shrimp with sausage which were cooked to perfection. The KO Sauce with the house flavor is a definite must try if you love spicy food! I definitely enjoyed it. The spicy jambalaya was also a standout dish, it was a tasty and satisfying. The dessert was a perfect way to end the meal, it was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The service was fast and efficient, with the food being served quickly. The atmosphere and the friendly staff make it a great dining experience. Overall, Crab Hut is definitely a must-try for seafood lovers. The restaurant is great for both casual and formal gatherings, and I will definitely be returning in the future.

Yelp
I used to love coming here. Today's visit will likely be the last. The service was almost non-existent. My cousin and I had to go to the counter many times to ask for things because our server or any server rarely came around to check on us after we ordered our food. We would've been understanding had the restaurant been busy but it wasn't. The food tastes more salty now and there was a massive price increase. I get many businesses are suffering due to the pandemic and inflation but find other ways to save on costs like trimming down your menu instead of 30-40% price increases. Want a side of rice? It'll cost you $4 and some change. On top of that, they now charge a mandatory 18% service fee if you dine in which I would have been fine with if we actually got good service.
google avatar

Teresa Y.

Yelp
The restaurant offers a unique experience for anyone who enjoys seafood boils. Essentially the table becomes your plate for your seafood boil. Each person is given a bib and plastic gloves to help with the mess. The menu is simple to follow and each protein can be ordered by the pound. *Only the shrimp is offered in the 1/2 lb option. We ordered the bucket for one, one pound of shrimp (spice level: medium), and waffle fries. Although the shrimp was marinating in the plastic bag of seasoning, the flavor was lacking as was the spice! Eventually, I just began dipping the peeled shrimp in the sauce to get a hint of flavor. The bucket for one contained a variety of protein if you are looking to sample a bit of each since the seafood is only sold by the pound. However, it is quite pricey so be ready to shell out for that! Overall, the seafood lacked flavor and spice (despite selecting the third spicest option). Would only return if someone suggested it but would not of my own accord. Food: 4/10 Service: 8/10 Ambiance: 5/10 Price Point: $$$$

Yelp
I have celebrated my birthday on a Monday night, and the staff had made it very special. I had a group of 14 individuals and they treated us with care. I am so thankful of the staff and the food was delicious. I am so appreciative of this place! I can't recommend enough!

Yelp
I usually go to crab hut in Convoy, but today we are happen to be at this neighborhood and we are hungry and decided to eat here instead driving to the one in Convoy, we got here around 4.30 and there is not too many people, we order some pasta, jambalaya and 1/2lbs is shrimp and hut chicken wing, but all the food is so disappointing, there is no flavor at all, the shrimp taste like old shrimp, the service was great, our bill was about $90, we are expecting good food, next time I will just go to the one in convoy.

Yelp
First time and got it take out. Was ready within estimated time given by Toast. Price is def more expensive than other places. I want to say 5/5 for flavor but clams were very overcooked and mushy. 2 lbs of shrimp, 1 lb of clams, 1 lb of mussels, 1 lb of corn and 1 lb of sausage will run you $127 even.

Yelp
Food was good . Definitely overpriced. 2ppl $200 . Adding a 22% tip automatically is ridiculous, we wont be going back .

Yelp
I finally got to try this place out for my 23rd birthday. The service was friendly and we didnt wait at all to be seated on a Thursday around 5pm. We ordered a side of cajun fries which were AMAZINGGGG. They came out fresh and super hot. The flavors were so good, tossed with lots of cajun spice. And the portion was impressive. Definitely more than enough for me and my mom. We decided to order the headless shrimp combo which came with a pound of headless shrimp, exactly one piece of corn and one potato (lol). We decided to add an order of King crabs and sausages as well. For the spice level we chose medium and sauce we chose the "full house", which is a mixture of all their sauces/spices. This boil was literally so good and i cant wait to come back. The sauce was so effing good and the seafood was cooked perfectly. I kinda wish they added a little more corn and potatoes. I thought it was comical that they only have 1 of each in the combo. I mean these items are relatively inexpensive so I wouldve liked to see maybe a couple more of those since were paying a lot for the meal. All together with one fountain drink the bill came out to a little over 140$. This also included the 18% automatic gratuity. It is pretty expensive not going to lie. But its nice to splurge once in a while especially for an occasion.

Yelp
We stopped by CVS to pick up a few items and couldn't resist the smell of Cajun food a few doors down, and we decided to get an order of shrimp and clams to satisfy that spontaneous craving. The order was quickly prepared and took only about 10-15 minutes. We got our food to-go, and it was nicely packed with a large soak-proof piece of paper that was just the right size to keep our table relatively clean. The order also came with a bag of lime and some salt and pepper pre-mixed (mainly salt, so we had to triple the pepper). We got a pound of clams and a pound of shrimp, medium spicy, with all the sauce combined. The price went up a bit, $18.95 per pound, but it's expected because everything has gone up in price. For dine-in, there's an automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill, the new norm. It's nice to see the restaurant taking safety precautions and seating diners more than 6 feet apart. The restaurant is very spacious, which made it possible for them to adhere to CDC guidelines to keep diners safe. The staff all wore masks, which is good. There is also a large outdoor patio for those who opt to dine outdoors. If you like happy hour, they have a great menu, with lots of selections, and also lots of beer and mixed drinks.

Yelp
First and foremost the service is great. Our server was very attentive and efficient. Shrimp boil-Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the seasoning. I chose full house with medium spice. The shrimp was cooked well but the flavor wasn't there for me. Very mild. There was no extra soupy sauce at the bottom of my bag. I usually like to toss the seafood for extra flavor. I had to keep dipping my shrimp just for it to have some sort of seasoning on it. If you look at my pic, there's barely any color on the shrimp. The flavor that was there also had a weird aftertaste. Very bitter. It lingered for awhile. And there was absolutely no spice. Not even a mild spice. I really had high expectations, considering the name they hold. I'm sorry they just weren't met. The crab poppers, please go without them. They are small. Not very flavorful and you can get something better for the price you would pay for them. I wish I knew, I would have opted for a bowl of clam chowder instead. Calamari, was actually pretty good. Not too bad of a portion. The fries also came with it, which made it a decent size meal. Oysters were yummy! Tasted fresh, I loved that they also included vinegar with shallots. Most places don't do that. Another pet peeve, the gloves are horrible. They use the cheap ones. The ones that rip and have your fingers smelling like seafood. Defeats the purpose of actually using or having them. Overall, I probably won't go back. There are other seafood boil places that have better flavoring and quality all in all.

Yelp
This restaurant is constantly deleting my comments on instagram. Can't even address why there is a mandatory 18% tip. Not worth going here.

Yelp
came here for the first time and was a huge fan!
