Crab Hut Seafood Restaurant

One of my favorite spots to get some sweet and sour chicken. I recommend going right when they are open/busy through out the day so you get fresh hot food. For 11 bucks the order is large enough to be two meals throughout the day. Worth a try and is great food to get when you don't feel like cooking.

My first time eating at this place I purchased the general ts chicken and fried rice. It was HORRIBLE the chicken was not chicken. I don’t care what you say that was NOT chicken. The rice with peas, carrots was HORRIBLE, I’ve never thought you could screw up a dish as bad as this was. Everything tasted OLD. You should be ashamed of yourself to even charge for this horrible slop. I also bought a seafood bag it was full of salt l could feel my blood pressure rise as I was eating it. I couldn’t even finish it, what a waste of money. This food can literally kill someone with a stroke. You have to do better Crab Hut. I thought I was on to something visiting your establishment, only to be disappointed. I would hate to see what your kitchen looks like. Do better!

Coworkers told me about this place... Can't lie the seafood boil was actually pretty good BUT the shrimp was extremely dirty ( most people don't realize the black or brown stuff at the end of shrimp tail is shrimp feces and it was full of it) they don't clean the shrimp all the way clearly.. Crab Rangoon a NO for me... I probably won't be back ONLY because of how filthy the place is which made me pray over my food even more; little lady at the counter was mean but ended up being nice to me because I was nice to her ..

First time visiting after seeing a lot of people hype this place up. Walked in and the floor behind the counter was dirty. I know it’s been snowing but floor should be mopped. Now with the food… I ordered a seafood boil and rice. The seafood boil was decent. However the rice seemed old and was hard as rock I could barely eat it. It was interesting to try. But I don’t think I will be back.

As I have stated before this is my favorite place to get seafood boils. They are delicious! The sauces are amazing BUT the lady at the counter is VERY RUDE! Most often I do my order online so that I don’t have to communicate much with her but even with brief communication, you still get her rudeness with taking your card taking back the receipt the amount of tip you give her or if you have questions that makes me sad because I really really love this place. I go two times a week no exaggeration.

Great Thai food, not Chinese food. Comes with spring roll, not egg roll. Fried shrimp was ok. French fries not so great.. Deli potato salad was good. Reasonably priced lunch menu.

I chose to order from Crab Hut tonight because it had the best rating and also the most reviews in the area, but I surely choose wrong 😖 Food tasted disgusting and I regret trying somewhere new instead of just going to Hook & Reel. Customer service was good and food was prepared in a timely manner, however the establishment appears to be sketchy and questionable on the exterior. The interior did not look presentable either. Place looks like a rundown hole in the wall. Got home to inspect the crab boil that we ordered and I did not like the smell of it. The sauce was disgusting and by far the worst tasting boil I’ve ever had. The eggs were saturated in their house made sauce and the egg whites turned red as if they had soaked in the sauce for hours. The sauce was not only watery, but also had chunky like pieces (like a spaghetti sauce) covered all over the crab legs. The sausage tasted disgusting as well and was of a cheaper quality. Do not waste your money and save your stomach.

They served us raw chicken (see photo). We ordered food this evening and our chicken was delivered and it's pink on the inside! It's raw. We both got sick after seeing it. It's very concerning because we ordered sweet and sour chicken. That's usually made into single bite pieces. If it wasn't for a large piece we might have continued to eat it. I will never eat here again. RAW CHICKEN!!!!

Dingy lobby with little decor, chinese owner yelling at staff behind a curtain... and a line out the door. I knew just from seeing it I was in for a treat. Absolute hole in the wall gem. Our boils were great. Eggs, corn, potatoes, a"Lots of sausage, and so many shrimps and more. ate for days and it just got better. The only thing id warn people about is to order more corn eggs and potatoes (at a very reasonable price) so you can accommodate all the extra meals you're about to have.

My husband and I had a craving for seafood. Food was made very quickly less than ten minutes. Flavor was good. I have never had a seafood boil, so I don't have anything to compare to. Butter added almost a sweet flavor, which was odd to me but my husband gave it 5stars.

HEY YALL! This spot is kinda inconspicuous to see at night, we found it, the service was fast, I don't mind waiting for hot food! The lady taking orders was pleasant, had a lot of customers but we ended up talking and she was very friendly, suggested to try the Boils next time! We ordered shrimp and double fries. It was filling. I will go back to try some other things on the menu. The place is small so it's better for pickup! ENJOY!

Just had a side order seafood bag and it was very tasty. My food was made fresh, hot and fast!!!!!

Don't judge a book by its cover SEAFOOD IS GREATT 10/10 And it's the quickest take out hot and fresh. Has been my favorite spot for years !! highly recommend

I've been coming here for a while now and the lady has become an auntie!! Lol! she's so snazzy and quick with ordering! I love how she repeats your order and even goes over the receipt when you get your food. It tastes amazing and fresh, almost every time. Sometimes they are sketchy with the seasoning blends, but overall, I recommend this place to try for your seafood boil experience!

I bought the seafood bag which was very flavorful. I really enjoyed it with my family. I ordered online so I had very little contact with the employees and it was a takeout and the ambiance wasn't a factor.

Don't let the appearance of this family owned take out place scare you off. The food was incredible! We got the mega combo and shared the garlic butter crab, shrimp, sausage, potato, corn, and egg, and were greatly satisfied! Everything was cooked well and the flavor was spot on! They even sent me home with vinyl gloves to dig in! But we just went in hands first (I did have to stop half way to wash my hands - but that's a me thing!) if you've debated coming here, stop debating!!!

I went back to visit Crab Hut to order a catfish dinner again. It wasn't the same , the catfish was fried very hard , it had a different taste than the first time I had it . The catfish tasted like a big mince fish stick. It had a different texture, it was not the same fish I had the first time, I did not eat but 1/4 of one piece. I was very disappointed with my food.

Crab Hut is the bomb, yo! I usually like to try multiple items before reviewing a restaurant /take out place but damn, if I can't just get past the crawfish here. Mudbugs are tough to find in these parts - I think Detroit Pho on Dequindre might be the only other place in Macomb County - and these little bastards are scrumpdilly as Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys would say. I've been to Crab Hut a few times now and they're always fast, fresh and friendly. Them crawdaddies are just *chef's kiss. I'm addicted to those ghastly, HR Giger looking things. And somehow I've never had a crawfish boil with egg in it til I made my way through these doors. It's a worthy addition to the dish, though if you want the customary sausage you'll have to ask them to add it. There's three different spices to choose from or you can mix em all if you really want to go Hog wild. Cajun is my favorite, naturally, gotta go Nawlins style with the mudbugs! Crab Hut sells the crawfish by the pound but they're cool with it if you wanna split hairs and order a pound and half like I sometimes do. The pound serving tends to leave me hungry and two pounds just seems like so much so it's a good compromise. Three cheers for Crab Hut. They're open Christmas and New Years, too. Maybe one day I'll try something besides crawfish boil but I'm thinking they'll have to be out of stock and they haven't been yet.

Used to like this place. Ordered a seafood bag only to discover a long piece of nasty hair. I threw it away in disgust. I was the last customer that evening so I called the first thing in the morning to tell them of my experience, assuming they would do the right thing and replace or refund. I showed them the time stamped picture and they argued with me until they finally agreed to offer me half off of a new order. Needless to say I will not be back. Hey Crab Hut, do the right thing to your customer. If one customer reads this review and decides not to go, I'll be happy.

What a fantastic meal, Wow! Let me start with there were a lot of people waiting for orders in their cars so the food had to be impressive. We ordered the mega feast--steamed crab legs, shrimp, potato, corn (don't know what happened to the sausage) and added lobster, and 2 pounds of crawfish. All smothered in this addictive garlic, lemon pepper, Cajun sauce (mixed, medium spice). It was piping hot when I got it home. We poured it in a pan and ate like kings! The meat was so flavorful and so tender. The sauce was everywhere & we loved every bit of it. All of it was fresh anytime we're in the mood and budget for seafood, this will be the only spot. Sorry harbor house, they have you beat!

This spot was fast, yummy and the professionalism was phenomenal. I really loved the taste of all the food and how fresh it was. Everything tasted just how I imagined it.

Food is good! Ordered multiple times for pick up and never had an issue. Always on time and always hot! The place is a little dated and employees seem unhappy but it's worth the food

I have been there twice now and the food quality is EXCELLENT as well as the customer service. You can tell it is a Family operated business as the daughter is always there assisting her Mother at the counter and I believe that is her Father in back cooking up some of the best seafood I have had in quite some time. Not only do they serve WONDERFUL seafood but they have some traditional Chinese dishes as well that they serve up. It is a small place, not really room for dine-in customers, but I have been MORE THAN HAPPY to grab their lightly fried oysters, lobster tail and their Tilapia Dinner is to DIE FOR......... Im so glad I drove by and saw that they were finally open!! I was so excited to hear that Roseville would have a seafood boil place... and so close to home! I wasn't prepared to order since I had just picked up the nights dinner, but I had to try something! I decided on a half pound of green mussels which comes with corn, potato, and egg. You have 4 flavors to choose from... Cajun, butter garlic, lemon pepper, or mixed (all of them!). I decided on mixed and it was soooo delicious!! I ate half and my other half made the rest disappear in record time! When the menu came to our home announcing the grand opening, he wasn't too thrilled about the prices. After trying them, then comparing costs to purchase and prepare them ourselves at wholesale cost, we decided we'd definitely be back! You must try them. They will tailor your boil bag with anything you choose!

I was craving Louisiana style seafood and I'm new to the area. We ventured into crab hut with little to no expectations. The staff is really friendly and took good care of us. Now the food. We got the seafood platter with lobster tails, shrimp, and crab. It was really tasty the sauce has a curry taste which I'm not normally a fan of. But it was good. I did get the mild sauce option so maybe with the more spicy you order the more it will be what I was expecting. Overall a good experience. Good to try!

My food was fantastic it was fresh and the cook substitute french fries by giving me fried rice excellent customer service.

The food was great and a great value for what you get. No sit down dinner. Serve was fine for a takeout place. Would go back again when visiting Detroit.

Rude customer service and horrible food, I ordered shrimp fried rice with the two-meat combo and I have never had so many sweet peas and carrots in my chine food plus it was greasy and terrible. A waste of money the potato salad was the best-tasting item from my order and that tasted like Sams Club potato salad

I've been driving past this place for several months waiting for it to open. When it finally did open, I couldn't find the time to go. I did today and so glad I did!! Matt was my server, he was awesome. I got the shrimp poboy and sweet potato fries. Delicious!! I also got the Kiss on the Lips cocktail. Very fruity and delicious. I will definitely be back and would absolutely recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

This was my first and last time ordering from this establishment. I ordered the special steamed platter which comes with 1 snow crab and 12 shrimp. Usually at any other place, 1 pound of snow crab is at least 2 clusters. They gave me 1 TINY cluster and another 2 tiny legs (the 2 tiniest legs on a crab). I've never seen such small crab legs in a seafood boil and then on top of that you cheat me out of my crabs. The sausages aren't really that good. The corn was wayyyyy over cooked or old, one of the two. It was to the point that the kernels were hard to chew. The egg was definitely way over cooked as well (but that happens in most seafood boils). They also took like 15-20 minutes longer than the expected pickup time. The only good thing is that the food was still hot when I got home and the sauce was good. But there are other places with better seafood for the price.

They leave the caca still in the Shrimp which means They do not clean the shrimp off before serving it.

Wow!!!Really good seafood Bags took my daughter here for her Birthday an they gave her extra food in her bag for her Birthday it was Delicious ..we will be going back Tomorrow lol my family enjoyed the seafood bags they was very seasoned an all the seafood was fresh an very hot

This place is great hidden local gem. Was skeptical ordering crab Togo but so happy I did. I ordered the crab/sausage boil. They asked what flavor and named Cajun, Garlic Butter or Lemon pepper. Or a mix of all. This seriously was one of the best Togo's I've had in years and will be back often. Highly recommended and the Hush Puppies are great too!

Good food, just to get your seafood fix. If you are looking for something to eat and get your delicious eat on. The food was just good.

Chicken was over cooked, oily from not setting out long enough to cool and drip off the oil. The container had melted due to the chicken being too hot which is not good for you. Rice is made with a garlic stir fry oil and they use an awfully large amount to have the garlic flavor just be the only thing you taste. Plum sauce was just a little off compared to your average Chinese cuisine restaurant. I was in the mood to try something new and today I just found another place I will not be going to again.

This place is so good. The sea food is excellent. I've had the snow crab, the king crab and the shrimp. Everything is well seasoned. They gave great Chinese food too! You will not be disappointed.

So I pulled up over here not knowing what the hell was going on (Warren can be in a weird bag sometimes) but once I walked in I knew the food was gone be a hit! When the lady at the counter threw my food at me, I felt like I was back in Detroit at the Coney. they came top tier customer service fasho. I ordered the veggie fried rice (I'm trying to have my shirt off all summer) + a Shrimp Po'Boy. I'll tell you what the rice was golden as hell, looking like Benihanas & the Po'Boy shrimp better than some shit Bubba Gump pulled out the sea back in the day. 5/5, 10/10 They made this food with some love & some culture.

Shrimp Combo was Disgusting!! Sausage had no flavor , sauce had no . Just spent 40.00 on this bull crap !! Not worth it !!

been here twice. never tried crawfish till i went here. off reviews i decided to go cajun route and it is excellent. (cajun garlic and lemon pepper sounds like a grody mix but ive never tried it so dont take it from me. maybe ill try it sometime.) second time here i got a lb of crawfish cajun build your own and a coconut shrimp (couldnt wait to get home to eat the shrimp) very satisfying meal. i went crazy on eating it. dipped the corn back in the "sauce" for extra flavor and this isnt the dry shake seasoning cajun like some resturants use. the service is like other places in the area. basic. u get your food and ur out not friendly but the food bangs. deffinately recommend.

The seafood bags are soooo good and flavorful. I ordered the #8 for lunch and turned around and ordered #7 for dinner. My daughter also ordered a #8 after tasting my lunch. I am so glad they are in my area. Please give them a try.
