"This seafood bar and grill is a St. Simons mainstay. For over 30 years now, Crabdaddy’s Seafood Grill has played host to island residents and tourists seeking fried shrimp, grouper fingers, and crab cakes. Make sure to order a side of cheese grits and green bean casserole. There’s banana pudding for dessert." - Eater Staff

Another gem that is worth the wait! And get out there early if you can to find parking. 1 hour estimate but waited about 45 min. We’re seated and promptly served by a sweet waitress, Casey. She went above and beyond with her service checking in on us frequently and getting drinks and introductory bread to the table quickly. Our orders came out instantly and the food was excellent. Fresh, flavorful and filling.

Google
Service is great. Food and drinks were excellent. Calamari appetizer with a good twist with spiciness. Cucumber gin drink and the grapefruit vodka drink were made well. Blackened sea scallops were seared correctly and their new potatoes were excellent.

Google
Had the fried artichoke hearts appetizer and the calamari. Calamari was good probably won’t order the artichoke again. I had the Fried Shrimp with red beans and rice which was delicious. Others ordered Shrimp and sausage pasta, shrimp Alfredo. They said it was good. Wasn’t a fan of them bringing out salad in a big bowl and having to serve it ourselves. Their house ranch was delicious! Would eat here again! Bread pudding was I nice end as well!

Google
Fantastic food and service. We went on a week day toward the end of the night and it was not busy. But it was very busy on the weekend so plan accordingly. The food was fresh and flavorful. They brought out fresh bread and salad that was perfect before our meal.

Google
Great friendly service. Phenomenal food! My father in law had the biggest piece of prime rib he's ever had. My husband had the teriyaki steak and scallops and I had the shrimp and sausage pasta. So good! And the bread pudding! This is a must have!

The reviews speak for themselves; this place is a must-try. Everything was delicious; in fact, it was so good I only took a picture of the award-winning crab chowder. Desiree had such a warm personality paired with flawless customer service. To make our experience over the top, upon leaving, I noticed I left my laptop plugged in, and our work truck wouldn't start. We ran into one of the owners, Mr. Scott Bradley, in the parking lot, and he quickly jumped in his car and gave us a jump. We can't thank this establishment enough. We can't wait until we are back to complete the project we were measuring so we can experience this gem with our team. Thank you, Crabdaddy’s, for your outstanding hospitality.

Google
Short wait time. Service was very good and the Blackened Grouper and Prime Rib were excellent.

We ate here our first night on the island. I had crab legs, and they were good but a tad over done. The meat stuck to the shell, but they tasted great. My mom had some amazing fried shrimp. We really enjoyed our meal and I would definitely eat here again.

Patricia W.

Yelp
we went for dinner today , and I have to say the food was just delicious! my ihusband and I had a cup of the crab soup. It was loaded with blue crab he had blackened scallops and I had blackened mahi mahi. at one point my husband made the comment that you could tell the person who made this food must love his job !the whole dinner was the best I think I've had in years. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone. The service was top notch . I'd give them 10 stars if I could! , I can't wait to come ba next year !

Yelp
Best seafood on SSI. Get the bread pudding for the best dessert ever. Best seafood on SSI. Get the bread pudding for the best dessert ever.

Yelp
I ordered shrimp and grits. They didn't have spicy seasoning on the menu so they added it. It was super delicious! Service was great too.

Sarah K.

Yelp
It's a long wait and the drinks are weak. Stick to wine and beer. Service was good and the food recommendations were also good.

Debra S.

Yelp
We eat here every year when we visit the island and it never disappoints. I got a half order of crab legs, appetizer of grilled shrimp and a side of garlic mashed potatoes. (Next time I will just order a plate doing it this way I got charged for each item which comes out the same as if I had ordered a plate and you get a lot more food) I also added a salad. My husband got the filet he said it was ok not very seasoned he will probably order something different next time. (he accommodates me since he does not like seafood, but I do) there were several land lover offerings. The salad was very good I love their ranch dressing, the bread was sweet with a side of cinnamon butter. We called a made a reservation and were seated in about 10 mins when we arrived for our time. The place is always packed so setting a reservation is a huge help. The parking is very limited so make sure to allow time to walk from parking down the street if their small lot is full.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the portion was extremely generous. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Dawn W.

Yelp
My inclination was to only give it four stars, but we really couldn't come up with anything to take a star away. It was a long wait, but not unexpected on a Friday night during summer. They have a great system that shows how long your wait is when the text you. The bread they serve with dinner is very nice and you want to just eat it all before your food comes with that lovely cinnamon butter. The scallops were perfectly cooked in terms of doneness, and not at all chewy, but a seer on them would've been nice. The shrimp and grits were very different than any shrimp and grits I've ever had, but it was a very tasty Dish. The description is very accurate and I would definitely get again. We also ordered the bread pudding, but since it was in a to go box, and not as pretty, as it probably would've been served in the restaurant, we didn't take a picture. It got a lot of rave reviews, so we took it with us. I wouldn't say I was blown away, but at the same time it was tasty. On a picky note, the water they serve must be well water and tastes really awful. Since that's all I drink, I would bring my own next time.

Yelp
Chucktown boy visiting, balling on a budget but still wanted to get some seafood. Hostesses were cute which is a make or break for me. The kind of stuff I'd walk out over. Service was solid. I had two beers if you can tell. My buddy and I got too much food. Here's what that looked like Apps Fried artichoke bois - to share (weakest link of order Crab soups - pretty good if you like salty. Liked it. If my crab soup was a hotel, it would be a 3 star. Salad w/ blue cheese - great salad Meal Blackened Scallops - 5 star taste, 5 star portion *SECRET SIDE ALERT* - ask about Charlie grits - 5 stars Dessert Heard the bread pudding was bomb but ate too much so had to skip dessert this time. Beers 16oz Tap Terrapin Los Bravos - Ranking beers is like ranking your children but I would recommend Praise be to JT

Yelp
Loved my experience here ! A slightly upscale feel with many seafood options. I opted for a fresh catch of the day fish with a creamy sauce, cup of crab bisque, a salad, and sweet potato. Meal also came with fresh bread and cinnamon butter. I would come here again!

Bill J.

Yelp
My favorite restaurant in SSI. Very good bread. Nice salad to share. Entrees delicious. Excellent scallops. Bar has better seating.

Claudia A.

Yelp
Heard so much about how Crab Daddy's is the place to eat in island. We arrived before 5 pm and it opened at 5 on the dot. There were people lined up after us and even asked if we had reservations ( I guess during peak season, you should) came in and sat and Rachel was our server. She was so hospitable and great recommendations! My hubby went with the Prime rib.....Note: it is HUGE!!! I went for the shrimp plate. We started with fried grits and grouper app. Both were scrumptious. The prime rib was a great cut of meat and tender. Everything was fantastic good and it filled up quickly as time passed by! Definitely a spot to come eat at on St. Simons Island !

Tom P.

Yelp
Good food. Fresh and tasty. Excellent service. Authentic atmosphere. Seems like a St simons spot.

Sherrie K.

Yelp
Great food, friendly service, and a great overall experience!! You can make a reservation!

K K.

Yelp
Had salmon and scallops- very good. Really enjoyed the salmon. The bread with the cinnamon butter was amazing and the shared salad for the table was great. Our waitress was super friendly and made great recommendations. Will be back.

Amy R.

Yelp
This place is incredible. You must try the butter cake it's worth driving to the island just for that it's always crowded but you can eat at the bar the staff is incredible. The blackened shrimp is delicious. Highly recommend this one for a visit while you're on the island.

Yelp
tl;dr complimentary bed, appetizer crab cake and bread pudding was PHENOMENAL (5/5) subpar, unhelpful, slow service (1/5) I'm really glad we didn't eat inside. really disappointed. E X P E R I E N C E We came here on a Sunday at 4:45 PM. They were already multiple people sitting outside in their cars waiting To head into the restaurant. At 5 PM there were 5 groups that headed inside. I placed a to go order. They said it would be done in 15-20 mins. expect to wait at least 45 mins instead. TIP: NO OUTSIDE SEATING! not dog friendly unfortunately. but it's ok, we did take out and ate on a nearby park bench :) F O O D crab soup (app) bowl 14 homemade recipe: highly recommended by my friends. definitely jam-packed with crab. it's tasty! it's not as flavorful as I'd hope. crab cake, sauteed (app) mkt 14 oz fresh lump crab cake sauteed or Blackened, with cocktail and dill sauce: oh my goodness. this is HEAVEN. flavor profile was balanced. the beautifully seared crust for that texture. sea scallop, blackened (app) mkt 5 oz gallot fried sauteed or blackened: again. amazing. perfectly cooked. fresh. beautifully seared edges. phenomenal. shrimp and sausage pasta, subbed side of sweet potato 28 Sauteed shrimp, sausage, sweet red peppers, green peppers and mushrooms gently tossed in pesto wine sauce and served over fettuccine: subpar. noodles were overcooked. shrimp and sausage were extremely salty. sweet potato was tasty! nicely cooked. im grateful they didn't add anything to it bread pudding small 6 feeds two. Highly recommended by my friends and by locals: star of the show. the texture was perfect-not runny but not too bready. not overly sweet. a touch of that sugar syrup on a bite of bread pudding, was the perfect compliment complimentary bread: co-star of the show. wowww. that airy-ness and fresh bread aromatic smell. incredible. idk how to describe it. it's not your average bread. easily one of my favorite breads I've ever eaten. I dropped everything else to eat this first. incredible. and that cinnamon whipped butter they had?? divinity. I N S I D E seemed well kept. there are 3 main dining sections and a bar area. the right sided dining section was better lit than the rest although the other two areas were still decently lit, perfect for that ambiance though. tvs in the bar area. P A R K I N G gets very busy and people are not respectful. everyone parks wherever they want and blocks the road. there are also a lot of elderly customers with trouble walking and the parking lot is not maintained well so be cautious in the rain! we saw multiple people having to back up in the parking lot because they couldnt get through the road. so we called crabdaddys to see if they could help and the hostess immediately said its crabtrap's (the neighboring restaurant) problem. she didn't even bother helping. we asked if she could take down the plate and ask the seated customers because someone may try to squeeze through and might hit their car. she hesitated and we could tell she didn't want to but did then proceeded to hang up. lol. just be careful. S E R V I C E slow and inefficient. there were 3 hostesses at the counter and only one acknowledged the customers coming in and the same lady was quick to take my order. the other two had rude attitudes. Kitchen was quick to cook as the hostess said it was just being boxed when i came in at 20 mins. and I saw the team boxing it, but didn't get my food until the 45 min mark. W A I T I N G A R E A two benches outdoors and an extra long (3 bench length) bench inside as a waiting area R E S T R O O M females had one sink and two stalls. it smelled like old urine. toilet paper all over the floors. not maintained well. P R I C E 80ish + to go tip

Margie P.

Yelp
I love this place. Extremely friendly waitstaff. Loved the food, service, and dessert of bread pudding. I've never had a better meal! Thank you, Amanda for helping us! Exquisite!

Emilio H.

Yelp
This restaurant is a hidden gem on St. Simon's. I started with grouper fingers, had Crab cakes and cheese grits for my entree and finished with the bread pudding for dessert. Let me tell you, every single item was great. However, the bread pudding is to die for. The best that I have EVER had. Our server Laney was also great. Super friendly, gave great suggestions and was there every-time we looked around. I will be a regular now at crab daddies!

Morgan B.

Yelp
From the bread to the dessert, the food was amazing. The service was top notch and the environment was great.

Jeff Z.

Yelp
We came for an early diner last Saturday. We really enjoyed our meal. I started with the crab soup which was loaded with meat, and I thought it was very good. I like that they brought out our salad family style in a large bowl for the 2 of us and we ate as much or as little as we wanted. I had the scallops which were fresh and cooked perfectly. The seasoning was good, but it could have been a bit stronger with the flavor from the sauce. I love green bean casserole and it was delicious as a side dish. My companion ordered the seared tuna appetizer for her entre, and she said it was cooked very well and seasoned perfectly. We got the banana bread pudding for dessert, and it was Awesome!! You really have to order it when you go!!

Andrew P.

Yelp
Food is amazing! Get the pork chops! We sit at the bar a lot and Every bartender we've had is excellent.

Barbara E.

Yelp
Awesome food, great culinary selections great staff, and spotless! Will definitely return on my next visit and refer to friends and family.

Shannon F.

Yelp
Food was great. But the blonde middle aged bartender had a terrible attitude from the start. She did not serve us, thankfully, but she attempted to overcharge us by $95 at check out. Absolutely pis... me off. Do not trust this place for payments.

Julie F.

Yelp
This was our least favorite dining experience on island. 3 stars for the friendly service and setting. 2 stars for the food. I had a cup of their "famous" crab soup to start. It was so salty -- and I like salt. The broth is thin. It had a few pieces of corn and one piece of a green bean with some shreds of crab in it. Skip this one. My husband started with a house salad. A nice presentation with a cup of bacon bits on the side, but mostly all dark green lettuce. I then had a crab cake appetizer (market price). This was really nasty. Inside was the texture and flavor of mushy tuna fish. There were no crab meat pieces nor crab taste. It had no seasoning on it of any kind, either, but had been fried and browned on each side. My husband had their grouper fingers appetizer. It tasted like fish that had been frozen and then fried. He wasn't sure if it was really grouper, either. And that (including a couple sodas) was our $50 dinner...

Mima S.

Yelp
This place was such a gem. The crab bisque was finger-licking good, and everyone raved about their meals. We got stranded in their parking lot with a dead battery. One of the owners went and got his truck to give us a jump. After insulting him with $20 for his trouble, he told us he was the owner. ‍ As a business owner, I wanted to melt away from the humiliation. Just know if you visit this place, you are leaving happy and with full bellies. They will also treat you like a friend.

Lisa S.

Yelp
Great service, always busy but delicious seafood. Love the family style salad and they have the best fried shrimp. Even their baked potato was outstanding. Not a fine dining establishment and it gets really crowded but great food at reasonable prices and very friendly staff.

Yolanda L.

Yelp
- Waitress's service was excellent. Food ordered had an excellent taste & cooked to customer's request. The environment as you walk in is a bit off to what I expected, yet it was perfect for our group gathering.

Steve M.

Yelp
Had dinner here while we were staying near by. We made a reservation and weee sat right away when we arrived. We ordered some appetizers and some cocktails which were both very good. Everyone had a fish dish and everyone finished their plate completely. It was odd that your side is served in a separate dish and were not large enough to share but overall good food. The place was pretty popular for a Tuesday night and the service was spot on. We wanted to get another cocktail afterwards but the bar was packed.

Shannon S.

Yelp
We always visit Crabdaddy's when we are in St Simons because the food there is the best on the island! Their blackened scallops are melt in your mouth delicious, we love the grouper, and don't get me started on their salad dressing! So good!

Amanda G.

Yelp
Amazing! I would definitely go back. First the bread - loaf of yeast bread with a cinnamon butter. Delicious. Then came the family style salad - LOVED this! Homemade ranch dressing. She offered us a refill. We only declined because we didn't want to fill up on salad. I ordered the coastal shrimp - fresh & delicious. My husband ordered the teriyaki scallop & steak. The steak was so tender you could cut it with a fork. He loved this dish (and so did my son, who stole almost all of the steak). Creme brûlée for dessert - not my favorite. I would try the bread pudding next time. If I ever come back to the area I will be sure to visit again! Thank you guys for a great meal!

Danielle N.

Yelp
Great food and great service. Thank you Rebecca for providing us with an amazing dining experience, and making our friend's 80th birthday a memorable one.

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Great service. Bread was a nice touch, especially with the cinnamon butter. Side of real bacon with the house salad was an excellent addition. Small plates were just enough. Fried shrimp on point. Sautéed scallops would've been better just pan seared but they were still good.

Mary J.

Yelp
My first visit to Crabdaddy's and overall it was acceptable. The wait was a bit lengthy but my party was one of 10. The service: Our server had a great attitude despite the dinner time (7:30 on a Saturday!). Some of our food took quite a while so don't come hungry!!! The food: The crab soup and calamari were superb. Our party ordered the chicken (very good), shrimp and grits, crab cakes, and scallops both ways. Everything was HEAVILY salted. Be forewarned. This works for some and not so much for others. The shrimps and grits is not served with traditional grits but very small polenta cakes (So the salt is not balanced out). The crab cakes were a bit underdone (so wet/mushy in the middle) so maybe order those extra crispy, lots of crabmeat! Worth a try and return trip for the crab and corn soup.

Bradley G.

Yelp
Fresh salad, in house prepared dressing, warm bread perfectly prepared seafood. We ate there twice during our trip. The waitress was very friendly and nice very aware of our needs. Clean and spacious.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
The wait was going to be long, but we were able to sit and dine at the bar right away, so we did. The food was EXCELLENT! Best we've had on the island so far! Just as awesome as the food was our waitress/bartender, McKayla! So very warm and friendly with a great sense of humor. Her drinks were great and her service was top notch! We'll!! Be stopping to visit and say goodbye before we leave the island. Highly recommend! 5 stars/2 1/2 $$

Anne B.

Yelp
Ordered the appetizer of Grouper fingers which cost $12. They were good but we only received 4 small pieces of grouper. Husband ordered the shrimp dinner fried and it was $22 I believe. Received around 15 small to medium shrimp. Nothing special and tasted like they had been frozen. I had the teriyaki steak and scallops. 4 decent size scallops and some very tough overcooked steak. This was $30. Best thing about the meal was the soft bread with cinnamon sugar butter. Waitress gave wonderful service. Can't complain there.

Carol M.

Yelp
My husband and I come to Saint Simons in March each year. We try to eat at Crabdaddy's a couple of times during our stay here. Very good food! Fresh seafood, fresh bread and a wonderful salad! We walked in at 9 pm and they took us, but, were told that the kitchen closed soon. So get there before 9pm. Hours say close at 10pm, but, they close earlier than 10pm.

Carol R.

Yelp
Great seafood and fun atmosphere. Service was terrific! We were a group of eight which did not throw the waitress at all. She made great suggestions and kept the drinks filled. Dinners arrived quickly - the bread pudding was amazing.

Lori D.

Yelp
Such good food!! Fresh, local sourced, delicious food. Local favorite for sure! Service was good~ the girls feel like family and really know their food and take good care of their customers! The ambiance is classic, warm, & inviting. Crab cake app blackened is ALL crab~ 0 filler & dill sauce delicious. Mahi-mahi with blue cheese cilantro cream sauce & side of new potatoes was rich, filling and so good. Flounder with Cajun cream sauce was excellent as well. Do not leave your dinner without ordering the bread pudding~~OMG out of this world delicious!!! Kiss the cook!

Jack D.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants. But, if you want Ahi Tuna, then get the appitizer instead of the meal. For same potion size the app is $18 and the meal is $36. The salad and side cost less ordered separately.

Hunter B.

Yelp
Great service/Speed of service, our server Rebekah was magnificent! The drinks came quick and the food also! The food was fantastic, highly recommend the crab soup. Relaxing environment and Family Friendly!

Abby S.

Yelp
Delicious! Crab soup was great!! Calamari and shrimp appetizers were yummy and fresh too! Salad served family style with delicious dressings and my table ordered an AMAZING bread pudding! Servers and hostesses were super nice and accommodating! Definitely give this place a try if you're on St. Simon.

David B.

Yelp
We drove an hour to try this place and we were not disappointed. Food was hot, plentiful and most importantly good. My grandson tried crab legs for first time and loved them. It took about 3 minutes for him to figure out how to break them down. Our server, Cameron was the best. Very nice, courteous and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Nate D.

Yelp
They make a good filthy martini. Blackened Shrimp appetizer was okay. I got a blackened grouper as an appetizer and it was excellent. Even better was my girlfriend red snapper that was oven fried in some miracle stuff. The way to go is getting the crap soup and the snapper with many filthy martinis at the bar. No wait and a good time with the regulars.

Brenda M.

Yelp
Love love love their bread pudding. Please don't leave the island without getting it!!!

Kevin V.

Yelp
We went to Crabdaddy's on the recommendation of a friend. Everything was fantastic. Great seafood, great atmosphere and we were lucky enough to get Kristen as our waitress. She was very knowledgeable, had definite opinions on her favorite dishes and took great care of us. She did all of this while also taking care of a large party for a girl's birthday party. Bravo! Go to Crabdaddy's you won't be disappointed.

Kim A.

Yelp
We had our 4th meal at Crabdaddys in the 2 weeks we were in town The food was delicious and our service was amazing. Hayley is absolutely the best! Not only did she make sure we had everything we needed but she kept the kiddos happy and had the greatest smile on her face throughout a very busy service! She is the BEST! As was the food. Don't miss the crab soup and the blackened red fish

Regina B.

Yelp
Food, service, & ambiance was great! We would recommend this place highly. Not the cheapest place to eat, but you get your money's worth.

Joseph M.

Yelp
Bread pudding so sinfully good that if Moses had known about it, there'd have been an 11th Commandment.

Nancy D.

Yelp
Delicious good and great waitress! I had the fried shrimp, crab soup, and a salad with the best homemade ranch dressing! Hubby had the blackened grouper that melted in his mouth. Good drinks!
