Hadn’t been to one since childhood and I was so pleasantly surprised! The gift shop is a seasonal wonderland. So many cute things! No wait to be seated during a weekday. We enjoyed our meals. Very friendly service throughout. Yummy chicken fried steak with green beans and Mac n cheese! Hoping to visit another Cracker Barrel soon.

I'm from Baytown Texas, it's my 1st time at this restaurant. My dad's steak was really raw and I asked it well done. Every Thursday in Baytown we go have the Turkey lunch special and it's great. The one here in Colorado was extremely dried that I had to ask for 4 bowls 🥣 of gravy to give it some flavor and make it juicy VS dry. My dad's steak was extremely raw they said they had to cook another one and that it would take 10 minutes, by the time they brought it he was already full on the baked potato 🥔,okra, and the corn bread.

This CB was awful. Our entire meal came out at once. Soups and meal. Meals got cold while we had soup. I had a dirty table next to me the entire time. The soda dispenser wasn't working. The side I was wanted was sold out at 1:30pm. The hashbrown casserole wasn't made right. Lunch here basically SUCKED!!!

Google
I loved the pancakes, very light and fluffy, the ham and sausage were dry, the bacon was limp, the scrambled egg was dense, the hash browns were not browned. The wait staff was very attentive. The restaurant may need to be updated some. The store was very fun with many unique things and nostalgic things. If I return, it will be to eat the pancakes and to try the grits and to shop.

Fires were old. Either stale or soaked with oil from sitting to long. Not many fries for just a side of fries either. Fries with the meal was the same size as the side. Burger was overcooked and over seasoned as i ordered medium. At this point i rather go to Wendy's or something. The 2 hostess in the front was excellent though. Real good customer service and knowledge. This locations food however, was very disappointing. I have been a chef for 34 yrs and this was differently not worth the price or cost.

I always enjoy a trip to Cracker Barrel — something about rocking chairs and country gravy just feels like home 🪑🍳. I usually go for the Old Timer’s Breakfast, which feels pretty on-brand for a guy who grunts every time he stands up 😅. And without fail, I ask for an extra scoop of that glorious hash brown casserole — it’s so good it should come with a warning label 🥔🔥. The service is always great 🙌, and I try to return the favor by letting the server know I drink iced tea like it’s a competitive sport 🏆🧊. I ask for the large to-go cup right off the bat — just trying to save them a few extra miles on the pedometer. It’s the least I can do while I sit there eating like it’s my last meal on Earth 😄.

I'm homeless and I carry a very big backpack. They're always kind... I had the fish Friday.. and it was excellent. Beautiful people beautiful food...💯🤷🙌🙏🇺🇸☕

Google
The store was great as usual. Our server was nice but seemed bored with being there. When we asked about his tattoos and chatted a minute about one, our service became much better. The food was horrible though. I had to ask for the other half of my meal as it hadn't been brought out yet, and everything was bland, dry and boring. there were 4 of us and none of us finished our food or bothered to brink the leftovers home. The biscuits and gravy was gritty and tasted like wet flower. The catfish tasted like the bland seasonless breading it was covered in. We haven't been to a cracker barrel in over a year and was so excited to go. Big disappointment. Will definitely go back to the store, but will absolutely not bother with the restaurant again.

Yelp
I had an issue with the menu and the items and the 2 managers did an awesome job by desclating the situation. They do a very good job. The go above and beyond to keep the customers happy and satisfied. Because of this, I will continue to eat here and continue to enjoy it. Kudos to the managers.

Yelp
We visited this location twice while we were in town for the week of Thanksgiving. First, we dined-in on Thanksgiving morning. They were open while most other breakfast places were closed for the holiday. The inside was cute and clean. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful. Everyone was so kind and cheery even though they were having to work a holiday. The food was yummy and big enough for us to share. Thank you so much! The second time I ordered take-out to eat in my hotel room because I came down with the flu. I was craving blueberry pancakes so I got the meal. The breakfast was yummy and fresh. It was cooked quickly and they packaged it nicely. The only complaint I have is that there was a hair in my food. Honestly, not a huge deal to me, i'd just prefer to have it without lol

Yelp
For a Sunday morning, the wait wasn't long at all and we were seated right away. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered biscuits, kid's pancakes and country fried steak with gravy on the side, fried eggs, and hash brown casserole. The pancakes were so thin and basically pan fried to a crisp. They also had a weird taste that maple syrup could not help. My country fried steak tasted okay. It went well with the eggs. The hash brown casserole, however, was very bland and wasn't cheesy at all. My kids did enjoy the biscuits though. They were deliciously fluffy and buttery. Overall, our experience was disappointing. We also waited for a long time for our order to come out. I doubt we will return.
google avatar

Debbie G.

Yelp
Why does a good thing have change. The original owner wanted a country cooked food and feel about his restaurant for families. Not like all the other restaurants. The name has changed, now changed back since we were there last Sunday. The menus have changed and the biscuit recipe has changed. The biscuits and cornbread that you are served before the meal is not hot so it will not melt the butter that comes straight out of the refrigerator/freezer ( it was a hard square butter). They serve alcoholic beverages. The positives were our server was nice and friendly. Our entrees were hot. We had gift cards to use for our meal and used balances in the store to get rid of them. Once one of our favorites when traveling. You could always count on it being consistent. We will no longer support what home office is changing. So sad!

Mike B.

Yelp
I hadn't been to Cracker Barrel in a while and was shocked by the drastic decline in quality. Breakfast for 2 was over $50. From skimpy portions, to cold biscuits, and fake syrup, it was very disappointing. The dining area looks basically the same as before and the service was fine. But no amount of good service can make up for overpriced, lousy food. I would not recommend Cracker Barrel and will not be returning.
google avatar

Alex V.

Yelp
What not to love about Cracker Barrel? The portions are huge, the decor is something to explore and keep exploring, the team members are friendly and the prices are relatively reasonable, especially if you are coming with the crew. And they have specials where you can have a takeout for $6 if you buy a meal for dine-in. Yeah, it's not your local mom-and-pop shop, but when we are hungry and don't want to experiment with something new (that happens sometimes!) - Cracker Barrel is a sure choice!

Prince D.

Yelp
They have changed their fried chicken. It is now processed chicken breasts ( bland and soft) rather than real pieces of chicken. Food not very hot. Butter came out of freezer and some couldn't open. Some jam packages had to open with a knife. Service was very good
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
Poor service. Was seated but had to wait 15mins to get service, went to ask to get service at the front hostess stand, waited another 10minutes. Kicker of it all, two other tables were seated and served the food and we still had to wait. Worst. Service.Ever. Would not come back to this place ever again.
google avatar

Drew J.

Yelp
The service here is so welcoming. The food is very consistent, and always seems to exceed my expectations. The one side item that I always order is the apples...whether I'm having breakfast, lunch, or dinner; those apples go with everything
google avatar

Stewart L.

Yelp
Fun place to dine. I love the general store. The selection of food offers plenty to choose from.
google avatar

Dennis P.

Yelp
Cracker Barrel used to be our favorite place. Not anymore. This time our visit was very disappointing. Our breakfast food arrived cold and the cinnamon roll skillet wasn't a skillet. Just a few in a basket. Biscuits were under baked. Basted eggs were overcooked. The restaurant area overcrowded and cold decor. Noisy.
google avatar

Krystal M.

Yelp
Despite the other bad reviews, I've never had a bad experience here, and my family has always enjoyed our meals. It's affordable for a family of 5 compared to other places and like a homemade breakfast/dinner. There have been times we have a longer wait than other times. Could have been short staffed or other times just very busy. I love the store and it helps pass the time if there's a wait. It's our go to. It does get busy so make sure to get on the waitlist.

Susan R.

Yelp
New fried turkey was delicious. Very moist. Four veggie plate is one of my favorite meals.
google avatar

Felicia W.

Yelp
Decided to take myself out to a late lunch/early dinner but the catch was I want pancakes so my choice was Cracker Barrel because they served breakfast all day. I got the new blueberry pancake breakfast. It did not disappoint. It was very delicious. The service was fast and it had a pretty pleasant ambience for that time of the day

Yelp
Food is always so delicious and prepared well. Our waitress was Trich, and she is excellent! Totally in tune without us needing to ask, very kind, professional, welcoming, offering options we didn't know they had. Thank you Trich for making our meal extra special!

Yelp
I'm not sure all the issues but we had a very pleasant experience at this location. Andrea was our waitress and she was so attention to detail and very nice! Food was very good. I haven't been to a Cracker Barrel in years so we were very happy with this visit!

Yelp
WORST breakfast EVER!! We love Cracker Barrel but this was our 1st time at this location and it was disgusting. Food arrived not pleasingly at all, barely warm and tasted horrible. All of our party felt like throwing up all day after eating at this location. VERY disappointed and makes me wonder if we will ever go back to any Cracker Barrel. Service was good, a little slow but they were fairly busy. My suggestion is to skip this location.

Tom H.

Yelp
Wehadden't been here in a while so following the latest developments with the company we thought we'd stop by for breakfast. The wait was long as expected and the store was quaint and inviting. Then we went to eat. The sausage had a really funky taste to it. I'm thinking it wasn't sage. The hashbrown casserole also had a wierd taste to it as well. Not sure what the big deal is but we won't be back for the food. The store maybe, but not the food.

John B.

Yelp
First off, this is the only Cracker Barrel in Colorado Springs so the expectation is that they should pride themselves on being the only one and the food quality should be cooked with that in mind. Secondly, ordering on a Monday as opposed to the weekend, one would assume the food would be cooked to a high quality due to no rush of orders. This was not the case. I arrived 5 minutes after the suggested pickup time considering that I had a big order. On first glance, all the food looked overcooked, however, I did not think this entirely considering that I was looking at the food with the clear lids on. Upon arriving at home I began to separate the food and soon discovered they had forget to give me some biscuits that were part of my order. They did give me the gravy which indicated to me that they were aware of the biscuits I should have gotten, if I had the gravy. The steak I ordered was too salty, was over cooked and wasn't all cut as tips and was one whole steak (minor issue). The biscuits were doughy. The sausage was over cooked. Some of the back was undercooked. The grits tasted undercooked. The pancake was dry. If a person spends above $50 dollars for food, the expectation is that it is cooked with care and quality. I do not feel that the quality control is at this restaurant. The food was underwhelming and there are other places like Black Bear Diner, Snooze AM Eatery and other local breakfast restaurants to choose from. I recommend them instead of going here.

Yelp
Well if anyone l is wondering, Cracker Barrel corporate still has yet to follow up with me. Please note THEY asked ME to track out to them and they haven't followed up ONCE! Cracker Barrel used to be our go to ... but no more. Terrible customer service at the store and just as bad at the corporate office.
google avatar

Yelp
If you're looking for a fully immersive western experience, Cracker Barrel hits all the marks. A bit on the meaty pallet, tho. Its got a really fun atmosphere, which I feel could have been made better if their food was tastier! Service at night is relatively slow, tho I'm not sure what it's like during the day. Don't like the food? There is always a gift shop with plenty of souvenirs and fun times to be had! We ask you to please visit!

Kay D.

Yelp
Was one of our favorite places when we visit Colorado as we don't have Cracker Barrel in NY. The food was absolutely terrible. Everything was undercooked. Sad to see the horrible decline of this location.

Cory K.

Yelp
OK CRACKER BARREL, here's what you can do to improve. Your white gravy tastes TERRIBLE. It's the worst gravy I've ever had and would not consider ever returning to your restaurant. Get some recipes from somewhere down south and try them out with some customers. That's not rocket science just common sense. Not that hard to do. As far as your new CEO...I think you've already made a big mistake. You're going to go on the same list with Bud Light, Jaguar and others. The only other mistake you can make is to hire Bruce Springsteen for a spokesman.

Gary C.

Yelp
Very noisy, long waits, and unless you're white you may not get waited on. Cracker Barrel has a code word for blacks because they don't want blacks in their restaurants. !!!!!JUST STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!
google avatar

Keith R.

Yelp
WOW FACTOR? None I ordered the Classic Coastal Sampler but was told later there was no fish left. So I ordered the Old Timers breakfast - usually my favorite. However, this time the gravy was cold and eggs poorly cooked. Service was not good; perhaps the server was new. Server forgot to bring water and charged us for the Coastal Sampler even though we did not have it. Very disappointing. HAVE AGAIN: Meat loaf and homestyle chicken both were good.

Duz180 ..

Yelp
We have been going to this location for years. Today was absolutely terrible. food was so rushed and they were not busy at all. Hash browns were not cooked and were still crunchy. Ordered the beignets and were raw inside. French toast special was gross. So sad as was a favorite.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
The Hash Brown Casserole Shepherds Pie is next level. Sopping up the last of the brown gravy with fresh biscuits is delightful. Sunday lunch is a little crazy here (crazy busy). I'm 'fraid I ate my meal before taking the photo. Ya'll just have to come here and get your own photo.
google avatar

Yelp
Intended to go to KFC but came here instead. Good service, good chicken and did not cost much more. Great 4pc chicken meal with two sides and biskets.

Yelp
I cannot express my disappointment in my experience at Cracker Barrel today. From serving times, overcooked food, to finding a hair in my food. As soon as I sat down I asked for a singular scrambled egg for my baby. That didn't come out for about 30'minutes and 2 minutes before the rest of our meal. I ordered an extra side of beef tips for $6, I got about six tiny pieces of grizzly fat beef. The manager came to ask how we were doing and I expressed my extreme disappointment in which he had nothing to say. That was before I found the hair in my food. The manager apologized for the price because I guess they had raised the prices, but that was not my complaint. My complaint was a quality of food or lack there of. I'm a huge fan of Cracker Barrel and I'm seriously so disappointed.

Yelp
Sad to say this place has gone down hill. Portion size and quality have suffered. Went for breakfast with the wife and son to start the 4th off. Ordered two of the old timer breakfasts and my son ordered another meal that included pancakes. The over all value of the food is not good anymore. The bacon was dry, the sausages on my son's plate were very dry. Eggs ordered over easy were almost non existent! Mainly just yolk and no white portion, they were very small. A measly serving of potato casserole was given to each. The biscuits? Flat as cookies, not fluffy and even the gravy couldn't help them. I did order some beef steak tips as an add on. What I received looked nothing like the picture, meat was overcooked, flavorless and they presented it in a normal size plate that made it look even smaller. It was a very small piece of meat for $6. Never again. We have been going to CB for close to 30 years and hate to say that until they start giving you the value they once did I will save my money. If you visit this one be prepared to be underwhelmed.

Yelp
Definitely NEEDS better service!!! I have been there two times in the same month. On a Tuesday night and Sunday afternoon. Both waited over an hour for refills, appetizers, food. They need better servers that take care of their customers. The waitress I had on the Tuesday night admitted to forgetting to put our order in. The waiter on the Sunday afternoon we had asked to see what was taking so long and he said he can't go in the kitchen? And we asked for a refill and he said we would have to wait for a little bit. We seen new customers arrive and get their food and leave before us. Like 5 different tables!!! When it was almost a hour latter we got refills, our food and appetizers all at once. We asked for the manager and got a discount but that don't change the experience, I won't be going back for a while needless to say and the bathroom was smelly and dirty.

Dan O.

Yelp
We used to be big fans of the food and the restaurant experience. Having not been there for a few years, we stopped by for breakfast, and what a disappointment! First we were seated right away, the place wasn't full. That's about the only thing that was acceptable. Our orders took nearly 30 minutes to arrive, and the waitress gave us the stock "they're working on it right now" line 3 times. Finally, about 20 minutes in, we were given a basket of a few biscuits and a bowl of lukewarm, pasty, gravy. But nothing to eat it with. So that's strike 2. When our food finally came after another 10 minutes, it was absolutely sub-par, nowhere near the quality it used to be. Our favorite cheesy hashbrows were a thick, gluey and tasteless mess. The chicken fried steak was awful and covered with same pasty and lukewarm gravy. These plates had obviously sat out for several minutes. The eggs were the only thing edible; neither of us finished our meal. Overall, it was way overpriced and a waste of time and money. I've had better food in mess halls. I won't be visiting Cracker Barrel again. There's better food and service for a better price elsewhere.

Laura U.

Yelp
We went to the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store for dinner after my daughter's high school graduation. Our server was amazing, and the food was good. We have been eating out, on special occasions, at Cracker Barrel Restaurants since my daughter was a little girl. Thank you to our server and the staff at the Cracker Barrel in Colorado Springs for making the occasion of my daughter's high school graduation dinner festive and affordable. I had a country vegetable plate, and all of the sides were hot. My daughter ordered the trout, which was good, but the portions are smaller than I remember in the past. Overall, I gave four stars due to the higher prices and smaller portions. Bring back the old menu please.

Trinidad M.

Yelp
Horrible. The person working as host/hostess was in the kitchen telling jokes . After a few minutes I asked the cashier to call the host and we were seated. The hashbrown casserole was inedible. It was burnt crispy like granola with a cold center of nasty mush that tasted like cheap frozen potatoes. The gravy was whack with dark lumps and a pronounced chemical cleaner burnt lard flavor. The biscuits were very poorly made. Undercooked and crumbling to pieces with a raw dough flavor. The macaroni was extremely poor and barely edible. It looked like canned macaroni from the supermarket. Extremely Disappointing. 20 Year customer will not be eating at Cracker Barrel again. The manager had a bad attitude and blamed the bad food on the kitchen being unable to follow the recipes. Waist of time and money. Horrible Meal. Extremely Unprofessional. You know when you walk in that this location has a poor management team.

Yelp
I recently enjoyed a fine meal at this very convenient location. Our waitress was fantastic - very attentive, friendly and our food and drinks came out surprisingly fast. I'd forgotten how nice quality service can be! I ordered the fried chicken special with a couple of sides and iced tea. Everything was delicious and the portion sizes were just right - not gargantuan, but plenty for anyone who comes in with an appetite. The cornbread muffins and biscuits were similarly good. The whole meal was very reasonably priced, too. I think casual dining spots like these are due for a comeback, especially if they get a reputation for fast service. Fast food has gotten so expensive lately and not everyone has the time or budget for a three or four course meal. The gift shop here is also fun to check out and well-stocked. Like the food, very reasonable prices and a lot of fun items that would make a fun gift for you or a friend.

Judy B.

Yelp
We normally love Cracker Barrel, Razor Back (I believe), Colorado Springs. We ordered Chicken Fried Chicken meal; it was so THICK, fried too much and very tough; couldn't even cut it with a knife. A new chef?? We left two thirds of our meals; ate the sides, but NO on the chicken. We paid and left; not sure we will be back for our favorite meal anymore. We hadn't had this problem before in our many visits. Love the gift store, but restaurant, not so much anymore...sad.
google avatar

Alison C.

Yelp
The food is delicious especially their breakfast. The service was amazing. Friendly and staff. The atmosphere was relaxing. The lights were dim and the area we sat in was quiet. The food came out in a timely manner.

Margaret Clokey L.

Yelp
Food and service very good but it's hard to eat your meal when the inside windows next to you are soooo filthy. It just takes a little glass cleaner to make you feel the restaurant is cleaner.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
This was my first time here, so I was unsure of what to expect. As soon as you walk in, it's a gift store bursting with all kinds of neat and unique gifts. We bought some novelty candies, a small toy for my kid, and spent a good 30 minutes just browsing at all that was available. Then we headed to the restaurant and was seated quickly. Our waitress was really nice and welcoming. I started with the limited edition cherry lemonade, which was on the very tart side. My meal of chicken fried steak was heavenly with just the right amount of cream gravy. My side of fried okra was very fresh and the mac and cheese was really really good as well. My fiance got a fried chicken meal with bacon mac and cheese and some mashed potatoes. He raved about the breading on his chicken. We left very full and happy and it is almost worth the 2 hour drive just to come here for a wonderful meal.
google avatar

Karla R.

Yelp
Devine food and take my grandchildren there all the time. When I was a little girl, I used to eat here a lot.

Rick T.

Yelp
We went for breakfast on Monday 12/30. The restaurant was busy and I wanted pancakes. I like their pancakes with their modified Maple syrup. Instead of the usual little bottles, I got two plastic containers with what turned out to be corn syrup. When I went to pay I was asked how everything was and I told them about the syrup. The cashier called a manager and I explained my disappointment to him. He told me that although the syrup was in a different container it was still maple syrup. After further conversation he admitted that it wasn't maple syrup, that they had run out and were waiting for resupply. I told him that they should let patrons know of the substitution when they order something with syrup Had I known they were serving corn syrup with the pancakes I'd have ordered something else.

Yelp
Would give 0 stars if I could. We've been here a few times and the food is usually great! This last time we went everything tasted so burnt and we had it sent back twice. All the food tasted as if they were cooking food on a dirty grill/dirty fryer. After we finally felt that we had to speak to the manager, he said he'd talk to the cooks and come back and see what he can do, he never did. We got our check, no discount or anything. Not even an apology. We asked for him again when checking out and he claimed "you ate all your food" when all I ate was my overdone eggs and cold pancakes because we were so hungry after waiting so long. Horrible kitchen service and won't be back again until better staff are hopefully hired.
google avatar

Christopher M.

Yelp
Would have given a five star but for the person who greeted us. He acted like he didn't like his job and was very rude to my wife. Everything else about our experience was great the food and our server.
google avatar

Zane P.

Yelp
I salute the political influences that brought this Grailed experience to the old CoSpringer. Further, they put shredded cheese and teriyaki sauce on my chicken breast. I think I went into a trance and ate the whole thing. My body is either in love with me or begging for mercy. Be warned Note to the authorities: I didn't read the menu description of this chicken item.

Jan E.

Yelp
Food is awesome.. They are so busy but the Help knows what to do to take care of us.. Thanks for good service Jan Edwards

Yelp
My new go to place in the local area. Great service, short wait time, fair prices and delicious entrees! Definitely will come back here again for Saturday brunches and when visitors are in town. Keep doing what you're doing Cracker Barrel!! Came back another time this morning just to make sure my initial impression as consistent. Glad I did, tried another selection and it too was very good. Glad I was not disappointed and thankful they were consistent with service from check in to check out. My initial impression was spot on.

Yelp
For what it is, Cracker Barrel is great if you order the right things. I ordered the right things! Their southern fried chicken is great. I tried two new sides. The loaded steak fries were awesome, and the loaded baked sweet potato was really awesome. I joked to my husband that the sweet potato was just about the best thing I ever ate.

Yelp
First time I'd been here. We wanted to do a nice road trip over through Colorado. Took the back roads..doin 15 in 30 I ain't in no hurry. Take it slow....just as fast as I can. When we arrived the parking lot wasn't too crowded and ample parking. There was a wait even for just the two of us. However, it gave ne time to go shopping. The wait was about 5-10 minutes. It was about lunch time so I ordered chicken and dumplings. No pictures this time maybe next time. The chicken and dumplings had big chunks of chicken, noodles and the dumplings. They were tastier than dad makes. Definite comfort food for me. The only thing missing was corn. Dad ordered fried chicken and biscuits. They were short staffed. So while we were waiting for our boxes I did some shopping. They had a whole section of nostalgic candy. Baby section with clothes, toys, you name it. They already had Halloween and Christmas gifts put. Not quite ready to shop for those. Maybe on my next visit.

Yelp
I joined friends for a Sunday lunch at Cracker Barrel. The place was absolutely mobbed, but we were able to be seated relatively quickly. We entertained ourselves at the country store until we were seated. Our waitress was very attentive and took our orders as soon as we were ready. I enjoyed the trout with two sides; however, my potatoes were not very warm. We were each asked if we wanted biscuits or cornbread and each answered, but I don't know why they bothered to ask, since we were brought a large basked of both items. That's OK, we enjoyed it anyway. It is a very welcoming place in general and I enjoyed my meal.
