Cracker Barrel Adds Alcohol to Its National Menu for the First Time - Eater

"For the first time in its 51-year history, Cracker Barrel is finally adding alcohol to its menu, CNN reports. The restaurant chain began testing the addition of beer, wine, and mimosas at select locations earlier this year, and recently announced that those menu changes would be permanent and would expand to most of its locations by the end of 2020." - Jenny G. Okay lets get into this review. I confess! I dont just go to Cracker Barrel to eat. I stopped in to purchase a gift for my coworker, a new dress for me, some gardening items, old fashion candy and a cute dress for my great niece. There you have it! No food today...lol I highly recommend that you look around while waiting. They have clearance items and great selections on clothing. All of which is reasonably priced. Don't take my word for it, just check them out!

I stopped by for a good Sunday breakfast on 5/4/25, and I’m glad I did! Brenyanah G was my waitress, and she provided excellent service—checking in regularly to make sure I had everything I needed. I ordered the Grandma’s Pancake Breakfast with plain hashbrowns, bacon, and fried eggs (you get two eggs). The pancakes paired perfectly with their natural syrup, and everything on the plate was fresh and flavorful. I enjoyed my meal with a cup of coffee, which really rounded things out. One tip: use the Cracker Barrel app! Signing up gave me a free appetizer/barrel bite, so I tried the biscuit beignets. You get six, sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and served with a butter pecan sauce—so good and definitely worth it. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this Concord location. No complaints—just good food, great service.

Gave this place multiple chances before writing this review, the last couple of times had terrible service/experience. The 1st time went on a Sunday night at 8pm, they didn’t have a lot of things on the menu, no biscuits made (like this takes a lot of effort), we ordered a mimosa pitcher and they brought us 4 glasses because there were no pitchers clean. The waitress brought us the check, didn’t even ask if we wanted something else (which I was gonna order dessert) but because the bad experience I just decided not to bother. All tables around dirty and nobody cleaning them. The 2nd time, went for lunch on a Tuesday, we sat down and waitress took around 15-20min to come, nobody came to acknowledge us or even ask for drinks (we almost left). The restaurant was not busy at all. When we got our food, chicken was soggy and french toast burned. Waitress forgot about bringing the biscuits until we asked. The place had a bunch of tables dirty and nobody cleaning them. The waitress offered to re-make the french toast, but I did not have time to sit and wait any longer as it was lunch time. They took the meal off the bill, but that did not make me happy. I am not going to a restaurant for free food, I am going to get good food and good quality service. Seems like an extremely poorly managed restaurant which is very sad as I loved Cracker Barrel. I don't think it is the waitress fault, is that they are over worked and these restaurants do not have enough staff and quality of service is down. Because of these experiences, I don’t think I will be going back anytime soon. Not worth my time or money to keep getting a bad experience. I rather eat at home.

If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would! I ordered a family pancake breakfast on FRIDAY for pickup at 12:30 today. I waited in the store for 5 min shy of 2 HOURS! There were online orders waiting everywhere. The staff offered zero information on order status and the managers were looking like deer caught in headlights. A disaster! The real mistake was ordering from this location again after THE EXACT SAME scene on Easter Sunday. They should cap orders if they can't manage. In store dining had a 1.5 hr wait time for food. This location fails every time. Last time for me. And they threw food in boxes to get me out - it WAS NOT a family meal and DID NOT feed 4 people! I ordered on Friday because I needed the hashbrowns without onions due to a food allergy - they had no clue about that part of the order and basicly said "good luck Chuck!"

Google
It had never happened to me before. I ordered the grandmomma pancake portion and when they brought it to me, I don't know if it was an insult, but I felt so bad that even the taste and hunger I had disappeared. They brought me a burnt pancake. I told the girl who brought it to me and she told me that's how they're coming out today. I think I'm going to change stores. I was disappointed today.

We chose Cracker Barrel because we wanted a good meal for dinner. We had a great experience from the time we entered the restaurant. The greeters we first saw all greeted with a welcome and a smile. The server, Emma was excellent. She served us well, was friendly and answered any questions we had. The food was delicious. Needless to say this Cracker Barrel has raised the bar!

Google
The worst meals I had in a while from crackerbarrel, my grilled chicken tenders were burnt. My greenbeans were not seasoned like they should. The loaded mashed potatoes were cheese potatoes. Where is the chives butter and sourcream? There is also weird black pice in the mashed potatoes. We had the reorder half the order when we went to receive the order friedapples were missing and a loaded potato. We found that before leaving and had to wait on that also... Others of our group also had horrible food and sides. All chicken was burnt, looked like, and tasted like it came from a cafeteria. We also ordered biscuits and are missing!! I'm very disappointed!!!!! 😞

NEVER AGAIN!!! So, here we go again. I sit down to order and there I sat. Not one person came over to offer me a glass of water. I sat next to a large family gathering and NOT ONE TIME did the young lady even look over to see that I was in her section. She conversationally engaged the large crown regarding what they were celebrating, but did not see me (somehow) in my loud Purple shirt waiting for some service. This is my last time coming to this Cracker Barrel. 2 xs is more than enough for me. Good Riddens!!!

Yelp
for the second time I placed a huge online order that CB could not take care of. The order was placed a week ahead and I got a phone car 15mins before I was supposed to pick it up letting me know it wouldn't be ready for another hour and a half because the online dept sent it to the restaurant at the last moment. The lady at the restaurant was very apologetic so this review has nothing to do with her. The first time it happened they lost the order completely. Update, they still charged my credit card even though I never received food and for all my trouble I got a coupon for 1 free entree.......wow

Yelp
Omg I wish I could remember our waitress name because she made the morning even better. The food was amazing, I had to take a nap when I got home lol. It was nice and clean and the ambiance was exactly as you would expect. This was my 1st time at this location but it definitely will not be my last. It's way better than the Kannapolis location (it has went down tremendously)

Yelp
My rating dropped based on my experience today. Our server was very friendly but that's the only good characteristic she had. She was very forgetful from bringing coffee cream when she said she would, and forgetting to bring a takeout container when I asked her for one. Perhaps, the evening crowd is better with multitasking than the morning crew here. The food quality and pricing are reasonable and good quality at least.

Yelp
This experience started out horrible the moment we walked in and was greeted by the horrible male greeter. He was annoyed because my party did not want to sit in the corner. As he passed the waitress, he said oh they don't want to sit in your section. Liz came over took our order. Another couple came in 10 mins after us. She took the order and served their food. She went and took another table order it was a big table. The couple that came after us finished eating and are leaving. We do not have our order and she never returned. We spotted her and called her over, the biscuits she had in her hand she placed on the table and said Oj we are waiting on your fries. Really! It's 45 mins later. After seeing her take another order, we had both decided it's time to go we will pay for the drink, bring the bill. 10 min later no Liz. Finally she comes out an say I thought someone else brought you the bill. She and the same greeter taking now. Get to the register to pay, no one there to take the money for the drink. The same greeter says, someone will be with you. Ok let's get the manager, who was understanding and offered to give us the food. No mam, don't know what the waiter and greeter did to it. Poor customer service at it best!! The greeter should be removed.

Salimah L.

Yelp
Our server name Liz. The food quality was poor. I ordered Mac and cheese and hash browns casserole scrambled eggs and biscuits. Everything was awful. The biscuit were under cooked. The casserole was mushy and tasteless. The Mac and cheese left a lot to be desired. The biscuits arrived twenty minutes after the meal. I expressed my concerns. I was asked if I wanted something else. I declined. I'll never eat here again. I should have read the reviews. ‍

Yelp
Food portions have shrunk. Ordered the Barrel Burger medium with just cheese, mustard and ketchup. Food took about 40 minutes at a non-peak time. Waitress was apologetic and said they had a new cook and had messed up our plate. Son had a vegetable plate. My burger came well done, all the way, including the bun slathered with mayo. Just asked for a bun and said "I'll fix it". Didn't want to send it back for another extended wait. Disappointing experience.

Yelp
Is it just me or have Cracker Barrel restaurants gone down in quality over the years? My wife and I, along with our kids and young grandkids stopped in here for a late lunch on Thursday. I was the first to sit at our large round table while everyone else went to clean up. A waitress came over and said she would be right back to take drink orders when there were more people at the table and left. There was no offer of water. A few minutes later, with everyone at the table, a waiter came over and wanted to take our drink orders. I thought maybe the waitress was busy and he was her backup, so we gave our drink orders. Then a minute later, the waitress returned to take our drink orders. We told her that the guy had already taken them and asked which of them would be working with us. She said that she would, and went to find the guy. Then, a minute later, the waiter came back with our drinks. We told him that the lady had just been by and said she would be working with us. He said that he would be the one working with us, not her, and gave us our drinks. Odd. Two of us had ordered a Blue Moon, which comes only in a can here. I requested some glasses, and we were brought small glasses that held about half of the beer instead of something actually for the beer, or at least big enough to pour the beer into. I asked if they had orange slices, but he said they did not. To his credit, he brought out some orange juice for us though. C'mon, Cracker Barrel. You don't serve Blue Moon without a glass and orange slice. I asked for cornbread and biscuits before our meal, and those were brought out after a bit, but he didn't bring us plates for them. I asked for some mall plates, and the waiter returned with plastic bowls. I picked up a piece of cornbread, and it was so hard I was banging it on the bowl. It was like a rock. I took a video because it was so unbelievable (be sure to check out the video here https://yelp.to/of6KBS4N0N ). After a lot of activities that day, I was tired and hungry, so I just closed my eyes and did a big inhale and exhale. So much for cornbread before my meal. Boy I sure do miss my granddad and his cooking right about now. Our meals come out, and they are exactly what we ordered, so that was nice. The temperature was good, too. However... One of my side dishes was grits. They were watery like soup. Impossible to eat with a fork, and we had no spoons. Green beans were my other side. But they were only green bean remnants. Like someone used a chainsaw on the beans and this was the greenbean dust and bits that came flying off the saw. We went ahead and ate our meals and did not see our waiter again. Right about as we finished eating, the manager came by and asked us how everything was. I politely told her "Well, since you asked..." and gave her a quick rundown. She apologized and offered us free desserts. That was nice of her to do, and we accepted that offer. I guess she spoke to the waiter because shortly after she left, he came by with a spoon so I could eat the grit soup. I really wanted to like it, but all those small things add up.

Yelp
Food was great, our server was the best and atmosphere warm and cozy. Love the store up front, found the cutest pair of earrings.

Yelp
1 star because I had too. Service was terrible. Food was cold when it arrived. Couldn't keep up with re filling drinks and requests were not filled. Stay away.

Yelp
Dinner while erranding, my wife and I enjoyed our meal. The store is laid out like others with the clothing, toys, and candy to one side. We were greeted and since it wasn't busy, so we were seated immediately. I'm now doing a keto diet which is a slight challenge at CB. Most meals and sides are heavy on carbs (and delicious!) so I stuck to the Southern Fried Chicken with steamed broccoli and a side salad. The chicken was tasty and I peeled off most of the batter. Leg, wing, thigh, all perfect. The breast ended up being a bit dry. Plenty of food though! Broccoli was overdone and almost mushy. Salad with some actual bits of bacon was very nice. My wife enjoyed her French Toast which was different than the usual we've had. Moister and not as well done but still tasty. For some reason, our server brought a bowl of whipped cream. Unusual. Service was great. Andrea did a great job of being attentive, ensuring the accuracy of our order and bringing refills without asking. Fabulous. Restrooms were a disappointment. Men's room needed both bins emptied and my wife reported that the ladies room was similarly needing attention. Like others, this Cracker Barrel allows overnight parking in their lot. It's nicely far from the highway offramp that the road noise is minimal though it's under the runway approach which was unexpected. It's not a busy airport unless it's a race week. You'll have your choice of nearby wifi signals to connect to. [Review 21014 overall - 3511 in North Carolina - 1999 of 2023.]

Yelp
Went on a holiday, and the restaurant was packed. I really wanted some good home-cooked food. Waited to give in our orders. The waiter seemed flustered but was pleasant, so you go with the flow. Seating is an open spaced table and chair. Yesterday, they must have been short staffed, cause quite a few orders all came out the sane time. It was hot on the plate but didn't have the same wow factor that I expected. I did buy a cute outfit so all was not in vain

Yelp
Really good servers! Very sweet. My meal was about $9 cause I got the lunch special! Baked potato and a salad. They were both huge in size, so I couldn't even finish!! Cute decor. Props for the real fire. I was so surprised how they kept that going. Cracker Barrel is amazing. They have a store in the front of their store, incase you aren't familiar, with holiday items, clothes, gifts, candy, books, trinkets, etc! It's a really fun family outing, even.

Yelp
I had the most horrible experience at this Cracker Barrel, and it was my very first time at any Cracker Barrel. The staff was super friendly and hospitable. My waiter was Kristin and the manager I spoke with was Brennan both were the best. BUT IT TOOK A WHOLE HOUR FOR MY FOOD TO ARRIVE TO MY TABLE MAYBE A LITTLE MORE AFTER THE ORDER HAD BEEN PUT IN. The food was nothing to really run back for Lunch Menu country fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn not my style and cheese bites which was the best. Brennan the manager is the absolute best tho.

Yelp
Today we were shown to a table by the hostess. There weren't many people in the restaurant. She took us past clean tables to a table with a dish rag on it, food on the floor beneath it and a napkin on the floor. She wiped it with the rag on the table and put the menus down on the wet table for us to sit there. She then went and got a broom and dustpan and proceeded to clean the floor right under our table. She asked me if everything was all right and I said, "Well the table is wet." She then took the napkins she had put on our table and proceeded to dry it. After getting our food, we were very disappointed. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs. I wish I had taken a picture of the flat tiny bit of scrambled egg that arrived on my plate. My friend had the grandfather's breakfast. It was not good. The sawmill gravy bowl was on my plate for some reason and his food was not what he thought he ordered. Now we understand why Cracker Barrel had to do their makeover to try to get people to come back. Sadly, we won't be back. So long Cracker Barrel. Poor management and subpar kitchen staff. Their doors will close, too.

Yelp
The service here took forever, children were also being kidnapped left and right. Had to wait 4 hours for a table too.

Yelp
I have always been a fan of the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. They always have good food and great service. I love to look around the store before or after my meal because they always have really cute stuff at decent prices. My most recent visit I got take out with my kids because we had the dog with us. It was the first time and likely the last. I ordered the pancakes and was disappointed when I got home to see 2 flat, smaller than usual pancakes that were almost tough. Hard to exain the tough part except I could not use my fork to cut them. I was also very disappointed to learn the stopped serving blackberry topping! We ordered online. It took 3 attempts and had to call the restaurant to ask how to order something due to there being limitations. Upon arrival at the time they said it would be ready .... It wasn't. We waited about 20 minutes to get our meal. Not sure what happened however this was not the typical service you get from the Cracker Barrel in Concord. I am hopeful that was just an off day for the Concord store because typically Cracker Barrel is very good.

Ella C.

Yelp
They redecorated and the new design is so bad, I miss the old vintage Cracker Barrel. This new style is like brand new things trying to look old and vintage and it ruins the atmosphere and aesthetic of what Cracker Barrel is. It's become more modernized which ruins the original old southern charm that Cracker Barrel is known for. Other than that the service was good and our food was pretty good, we did order a basket of biscuits and only received three biscuits.. I thought they came with more?
google avatar

Zach R.

Yelp
A classic we usually visit whenever we're in an area with a Cracker Barrel. Although I would have to say it's losing its luster as quality seems to have gone down a bit

Yelp
Cracker Barrel is one of those spots where you pretty much know what to you're going to get. Despite giving old plantation feels, to my surprise, they have been updating and innovating in ways that you might not be aware of. For starters, they sell alcohol.....so go ahead and order that mimosa with brunch!! They also offer an Impossible sausage for all the plant-based eaters. You can now pay your bill tableside by scanning a QR code. Other than that the experience is about what you expect from Cracker Barrel. Our service was excellent. She checked on us frequently, even when we were just sitting around talking after we finished our meal. The food was very good. I ordered the French toast this time instead of my go -to pancakes and I was really happy with my choice. Here is my one negative. Despite their updates, Cracker Barrel is still holding onto the notion that everyone eats meat (or meat-substitutes). They do not allow substitutions even though most sides are cheaper than the meat. For me to order french toast and a side of grits it was more expensive than ordering their combo of french toast, two eggs, and meat. Make that make sense?!? Not only is it wasteful but it just doesn't make sens Pro-tip: Go online and get on the waiting list from the comfort of your home. They will text you when your table is ready. Just check in with the host when you arrive.

Patricia H.

Yelp
This review concerns the white porch rockers they sell for $190. I bought two for a covered porch 3 years ago and they are splitting and paint chipping. Very seldom used and when I contacted store, basically, tough luck we only have a one year warranty. Cracker Barrel seal is on both chairs. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE CHAIR!!

Jan A.

Yelp
They advertise curbside pick-up, you can place a curbside order (remotely) and there's signs in front of the store with a number to call when you arrive for your curbside pick-up. No one answers that number, EVER! You must go inside the store and pick up your order. I can place an order and pick it up at almost any restaurant in my area....but, Cracker Barrel offered curbside pick-up which they don't have. There's no explanation, no apology for falsely leading customers to believe they have a service they don't have. This is the Cracker Barrel on Lyles Ln. in Concord, N .C. Good food, no complaints with the exception of needing to stop misleading the public.

Yelp
Loved lemon crusted trout and tasty steamed broccoli and sweet potato. Biscuit was fluffy but corn muffin was tasteless Great place to meet family and chat over a relaxing meal. Good choices for food, and several enjoyed shopping in the gift shop.

Yelp
ordered through Doordash meatloaf, hashbrowns, duplins, buiscuit and cornbread with the main dish (meatloaf) and cornbread missing ???? what did i pay for??????????

Yelp
Took 48 mins to get food. No wait for seating... Only 2 tables and it was the worse food ever.

Yelp
Food took forever to come out, but service from our waitress was good, It was very busy this morning, but when we got our food it was cold and our butter wasn't even melted on the French toast in South Carolina at the borderline is way better than this one. this is my first and last time I will be returning to the one on Carowinds Boulevard

Yelp
Cracker Barrel on Cooperfeild Blvd in Concord, NC on August 31st 2024. My two party group was requested by this location to put ourselves on the app waiting list. We did so, arrived at location minutes later, & checked in w/the host Victoria. I told her our name and# on wait list she looked at her tablet/I pad and Said yes, we have your party on the list. Asked her to confirm what else do we need to do and she stated nothing, we will text you and call your name over the intercom when table ready! We wait 30 minutes lots of people in and out still no text or intercom call. We check in again. Now saying it's still a 20 minute wait. We are in awe but we wait 10 more minutes and see others walk in and be seated now we go up there again. The girl Victoria, says she doesn't see our party, then says she sees our party, we explain we have now been waiting 45 mins for breakfast on app request that should been 15 mins top . We ask for a manager Victoria just standing there shaking her head and saying she don't know and then Jonathan appeared, who was the Manager. As we wait for manager other customers from outside come in with same issue who been there longer than our party.. What's clear is Victoria never checked us in once we arrived and told her we were there. She nor Jonathan knows how to check people in on the app. Instead Jonathan tells everyone when we arrived we should have check ourselves in on the app? WTH! Well if that's the case everyone can go on app go on wait list and then immediately check themselves in and bump up to be seated next. Jonathan had poor customers service also as a manager by saying this. App shows checkin or check by host.... Mistakes will and can happen the difference is how you handle it and take accountability for the mistakes especially when you have more than one group/party complaining about the same thing... There is a reason by some companies known for great customer service but wasn't Crackel Barrel this day. I won't even talk about after explaining to waitress the issue and still getting wrong order on my food.

Yelp
Cracker Barrel is near and dear to my heart because I worked here while in college. I visited with my mentor and we had an awesome time. Service was fast, food was hot, and the biscuits are the best in town. I especially love the dumplings one of my favorites on the menu besides the meatloaf. The price point is very affordable. I've been partaking in the $5 meals! Nothing gets better!!

Yelp
The food was good. The Beignets were soooo good! My waitress was very nice & down to earth. The ambiance was expected for the traditional Cracker Barrel. It was busy, but we were seated in a reasonable amount of time.

Yelp
When you are in the mood for some good comfort food, or just a great breakfast, you gotta hit up Cracker Barrel. Not only is the food good, so is the service, it's fast and friendly just as you would expect in the south. The restaurant is clean and the old timey decor is always on point. If you are waiting on a table, be sure to shop the store for lots of neat goods and hard to find candies, you are sure to find something you will want to take home.

Yelp
Have ordered food here a few times. Was always fine. Quality has gone done tremendously over the years. We just went in today to check the shopping because they had a new collection I wanted to browse. I haven't been in there in forever so we walked around the store just browsing. The front cashier followed me around the whole time but just me. My partner clearly had a bag of items that we intended to purchase but I wanted to look at everything first. My partner walked away a couple times to look at something different, so I was alone. The cashier would only follow me around but not my partner. They only made one comment the whole time about the salt and pepper shakers I was looking through. Honestly, it ruined the whole experience for me. They are lucky I wanted the items otherwise I would have left. Very creepy and unsettling. I ended up telling my partner that I wanted to leave so we checked out. The cashier was even creepy doing that. Another lady was in there having issues with her online order and pick up so clearly not the best vibes in there. Very disappointing but I guess the merch was cute and well priced.

Yelp
Got here and man was it packed. Took 30 minutes to get a table at 11am. First off the ac wasnt working that well on a 100 degree day. We finally got a table and food was ordered. The waitress was nice. We got our food and my dad didn't get the correct meal. We couldn't didn't get it corrected because we never saw or waitress again till it was time for the bill. Our drinks were never refilled. Given that it was pretty busy there today. Overall the food is typical Cracker Barrel hard to mess up. I had country fried steak and Mac and cheese. It's was good but nothing to write home about.

Yelp
This place is as bad as I remember it being. Same goofy crap the gift shop & the staff will yell out "Welcome " as your paying the bill pretty much deafening you in one ear for about 10 minutes. Food isn't even good. This place would be nice not having children crying and throwing tantrums.

Yelp
Always a great experience at the Cracker Barrel! Our server Alexis was as sweet as can be and took great care of us!! We came here before our first day of classes resumed, and it was the best decision we made! I get the uncle Herschel's favorite per usual, with the country ham and hash brown casserole! All of the food was extremely fresh and tasted amazing! my boyfriend gets the double meat breakfast with all bacon! Alexis was very accommodating and even asked us if we would like cheese on our eggs or a grits without us even asking! Fantastic service, amazing atmosphere, heartwarming food!! Thanks Cracker Barrel!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went to Cracker Barrel this past Saturday around 1:30pm and had the worst experience. We waited almost 45 for our food and our waitress didn't bring the biscuits until after our food arrived. However, she did bring other people (who came in after we did) their biscuits as soon as they sat down. She never even offered to refill our drinks. We love their food but after this past weekend I doubt we ever go back.

Yelp
Stopped and I can say I haven't been into a cracker barrel in a while and I know why. was seated with no problem sat for 10 minutes still no problem. The waiter come out to take our whole order even an appetizer. Did not come back for a while brought drinks then we didn't see her any more till and hour had passed. Others around us we eating and leaving. She came and said the was 1 cook it would be a while longer. We left a very treble experience to say the least. Would not recommend to anyone.

Yelp
If you want good service / go someplace else. I was there this past weekend. Was seated and no one came to my table. I was never acknowledged but a couple came in behind me and they were acknowledged immediately. I walked out and tried to speak with the manager by calling three times but no return call. Poor customer service at its lowest.

Yelp
Got seated right away and waited 20 plus minutes to get a server and ended up walking out as we were not even acknowledged by any of the other waiters

Yelp
Finally got my food. Went in and ordered my food, was told it would be 20 to 25 minutes. I went back outside walked my dogs gave them some food, gave them some water, went inside and used the restroom. Decided to check in checked in I originally placed my order at 6:45 at this point it is 710... I asked the girl if I could go ahead and pay and have them bring it out to the to go area since I have dogs waiting in the car, she said yes that would be no problem at 7:25. I go back in to check again, because my food has still not been brought out. The food is still not ready. A manager who acts like she could care less calls back to check on it, a younger guy comes around the corner with the food but no drink so I have to wait again. At 7:30 almost an hour after I order, I finally get one plate for a to go order... Ridiculous.

Yelp
First time to this place, we went out to brunch - the whole family- and we was very nice. It's a sweet cute store than opens up to a quaint comfy diner with all day breakfast menu. Hung on the walls are portraits of people from the past and interesting pieces of gadgets that once upon a time where used in peoples lives. There parking around it and to be seated it might take a long while if you don't get in the online wait list. We thought ahead (I was told by my coworkers this place is very popular) so as soon as we left home (30 mins away) I entered us in the wait list which it warned the wait was between 15-20min.... I know.... I gambled a little also felt like I was cheating a little BUT it saved us a LOT of time. We arrived hung around the store for maybe 5 mins and were seated, while a new group who just entered was told the wait was at least 45mins. Once seated, our waitress was sweet but a bit forgetful... which is ok my order came missing one meat and it took reminding her twice to get the country ham. However, the food was good. My daughter had the kids cheeseburgers, she mostly ate the tater tots. My husband and mother got the chicken por pie (I was jealous) did you see the picture I snapped?!? That beauty! Crust was buttery and crispy flacky the chicken inside soooo good I loved it. My order was the sunrise sampler, very good for someone who wants many options like can't pick what they want... and or wants to share sides etc... biscuits are like buttery clouds the best I've ever gotten so far, not a fan of grits so can't tell you much besides they felt blend, fried apples a delicious desert like side... my scrambled eggs unfortunately had many egg shells on it... and my country ham was too salty. I do recommend this place for the whole experience, warmth, prices and some of the menu items are worth the calories! At our exits I bought some candy to bring to my job. After all it made our family time very nice and memorable.

Yelp
In general very well organized and very efficient even during a Sunday Brunch Rush.. That is until today and I'm guessing a lot of the extra crowd was folks who had gone to the CIAA Basketball Championship which ended yesterday. Part of the mob of people where patron who attended the game in Charlotte and left that morning to go home. Most of the other schools in the CIAA are up the I-85/I-95 Corridor so a large part would have passed by this location. This particular Cracker Barrel is on I-85 about 20 miles NE of Charlotte across the Interstate from Concord Mills which is the largest tourist attraction in NC so traffic is normally heavy anyway. As usual, we left Church in Davidson shortly after the Service let out at 10:30 am. Granted it being Communion Sunday and Lent and went over a few minutes but we still made it to the restaurant by 11:15 am. Let my wife off by the front door while I parked the car and very quickly found a parking space near the entrance. By the time I met up with her a few minutes later, she had put our name on the wait list and was told it was going to be about 45 minutes which indicated a seating time around 12 noon. Sat outside in some of the rockers for about 25 minutes but at 46F temperature, did not take long to get chilled. Even though there is not place to sit in the Country Store Sections, we went in an roamed around for about another 20 minutes. Our name was called very close to the 45 minute mark. Our server was there shortly and we gave our beverage orders. My wife knew what she wanted by I'm trying to lose a few pounds so I had to review the menu taking into consideration the calorie count for each item. No fun being a Southern Boy and going to Cracker Barrel and trying to stick to diet. My wife had a delicious Roast Beef, with Fried Okra, Corn, Dumplings and biscuit. I had one Grilled Pork Chop (250 cal) Pinto Beans (90 cal) House Salad (15 cal plus 80 cal for Dressing) Biscuits which I had one came in at 100 cal each. Our server was overwhelmed with the crowd and did her best and while she made errors, I took those into account. The do a good job of bussing and sanitizing table for the next patrons but what they do not do is address the spillage on the floors. Floors were appalling due to the food waste on the floor. I would have give the restaurant a higher rating except for this one problem.

Yelp
DoorDashed food and got breakfast that tasted like it was made my a lunch lady. Only reason this has two stars is because I ordered pick up from here before and it was okay. Do not recommend AT ALL.

Yelp
Awful service here every time. Got an attitude when I asked for a coffee refill, then server clearly prioritized waiting on other families and neglecting ours. Will never set foot in here again.

Yelp
Service was "okay". You can tell the food was cold before serving so they heated it up. Appetizers came out lukewarm. Waited 1hr before we got our food. Food wasn't bad though. Better for pickup not dine-in

Yelp
Maybe it was because it was Father's Day but we came for a party of 7 was told it would be a 30 min wait. We waited over an hour. Then once seated and placed out drinks ans food orders it took that over another hour to get to us. They told us it's been happening like that all day today :( over two hours here just to eat and with a 3 year old didn't make it all easy. If you love waiting a long time for your service this is the place to go

Yelp
Always a solid and dependable meal at a reasonable price. Service is mostly good. The decor is all country and comforable.

Yelp
First off, I love Cracker Barrel.... I first went to this location about 3 years ago. The food was good, but the service was lousy. Slow to the point of ridiculous. I haven't been back for a long time, but today I gave this location another chance. It was the same thing all over again. It took us over an hour to get a seat. No problem there since it's Sunday and was understandably busy. But once we were seated we waited roughly 10 more minutes just for someone to acknowledge us. We got silverware and one of the forks was obviously dirty. We asked for a replacement and for napkins. Neither arrived. We had to ask 2 other people to finally get what we asked for. After the order was finally placed the food took an unusually long time to come out. Our server was unapologetic. The food was fine, but, we spent just under 3 hours and all we got was a simple breakfast. I highly recommend AVOIDING this location.
