Started my day early visiting from Culver City as I'm staying from out of state, from Washington State. Started at Stone and got lunch at craft but was fortunate enough to run into a bartender named Meg. Down to earth and attentive and honest on questions about the food and drinks. Was recommend the brisket and wasn't disappointed but could need improvement. The meal itself was great and filling for 15 bucks. Probably the cheapest meal I have gotten next to Carl's Jr. Everyone here has been so enjoyable but Meg stood out as a real person. I would recommend going here as it seems customer service is definitely a priority and that makes up for a couple dry bites of brisket. Waffle fries were 10/10.

Reservation was made on Open Table and our party was sat immediately. This place was completely packed as it was prime dinner rush. The server did an amazing job managing the craziness. Our drinks were brought out very quickly and our food didn’t take more than 15 minutes to arrive. The brisket burrito is to die for, the cheese on the outside of the burrito is the perfect touch. The kids loved their meals.

Google
Awesome food and really great service! Texas smoked spare rib was perfectly blackened, tender, smoked and just-right-fatty for my taste - A+. My daughter's Birria tacos were very tasty and meaty, and the sides were all great. Servers were friendly and accommodating, and prices lower than I expected in Pasadena. Really the best BBQ I've been to in a long time, and I like barbecue. Will come back when in the area. Honestly I don't understand why this place doesn't have a 4.8 rating

Google
good service and atmosphere in the middle of old town pasadena. But the food is pretty expensive - Taco comes in at more than 15 dollars which does not include any sides. We ordered brisket and tri-tip but not much favors in it and they are tough cut. Definitely not falling apart for the brisket and borderline hard to chew for the tri-tip...

Google
Went here with my family, including my 15 month old baby. We had such a good time! BERNEDETTE you rock girl! She was such an amazing server, I felt like she was an instant friend, and she was very attentive yet gave us our space. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Happy hour is where it is at.

Google
Really like the environment and ambience there. As for food, brisket > bbq rib quesadillas > tri tip. Also, the ‘sad mom’ beer (actually hard lemonade) is sweet and refreshing!

Marie Takano

Google
I had beautiful experience with them and while waiters are so nice and it was Thursday lunch time it wasn’t crowded, wow half pound bbq brisket was def big enough, I don’t know if they do all the time but I got waiting food snack as chips and also they brought my dog beef patties 😭🫶🏻 Like wow I felt whole hospitality. Needless to say food are delicious 🩷

Yelp
Vinee Is my favorite bartender in all of Pasadena! His personality is amazing, and the drinks he made were delicious! He made sure the music was good, and he is such a great guy! I love coming here but only when he is working!! The food was really delicious, but it's worth coming for the great company and delicious drinks!

Yelp
I never like to leave Yelp reviews but honestly the service tonight needs a yelp. Stephanie was the most helpful server we have had in a long time. Not only did she go over the menu you us she made great suggestions and she always made sure we were good even with having all the tables in the dining room. If you get a chance to go to Pasadena hit up craft and ask for Stephanie you won't regret it!!!

Yelp
The brisket and beer were top notch!! The staff and our server Jennifer provided us with amazing customer service.

Yelp
Reasonable prices and great food. Decent happy hour too. Probably the best in Pasadena. The smashburger was so good. I still haven't had a better one yet. There's a reason why this place has 4.7 and 7000 reviews and they have a few locations.

Yelp
Good: very tasty bbq, just wished it was warmer. Not so good: long wait times despite reservation. Restaurant was short-staffed. (8/24 @ 7:45p Food (tri-tip, brisket, and sides) were room temperature when they arrived at our table. Short rib was out of stock for the evening. Ambiance was fine, but noticed the candles at the tables weren't lit. Otherwise, pretty decent meal.

Yelp

Yelp
Poke nachos are my fav to order here. Parking: street metered parking/ parking structures around as well ($)

Yelp
Our group met here to celebrate another birthday! Our waitress, Meg, helped make our evening enjoyable by not only getting our orders correct, but entertaining us from afar as well, LOL ... to top off the evening, she served birthday shots to the adults in the group. Thank you Meg for a great evening! Most of us tried the brisket. Personally, I ended up with a fatty piece which deflated my excitement for the brisket tacos. Sigh.

Yelp
I've came here many times in the past few years for dinner. Today came here for happy hour with a friend from out of town. The food and service is top notch and quality of food is great and have huge portions. Restaurant/staff/parking Plenty of seats and space to sit down for large groups. The staff was friendly and attentive. We sat by the bar for happy hour drink specials. Our bartender Brynn took good care of us and kept the drink going and they offer complimentary pineapple Mango shots. She rocks and looking forward in seeing her again. Parking here is accessible. There several parking structures around the corner and just walked across the street Food; I've ordered they're ribs and and the Mc rib sandwich. This sandwich could literally feed two people. The spare ribs was a huge generous portion and has two beef patties and three Texas style garlic butter toast with cheese. You also get to order one side. We got the Mac and cheese which was cheesy and creamy. Cooked just right. They smoke and slow roast their meat to perfection. I really enjoyed their food. They have a huge menu that catered to everyone's budget. Conclusion; Im definitely regular returning customer at this location from the quality craft cocktail and great BBQ smoke meat can't beat the their happy hour menu specials. I look forward in coming here again soon. Give them a try you won't be disappointed. Bonus tip! Happy hour is from mon-friday from 2p-6pm and late night happy hour is 9p till close. This is a killer deal. For the parents out there. Yes they do have a baby changing station and have baby high chairs and booster seats.

Yelp
The brisket and short ribs were delicious and tender. The drinks took some time to get but were well worth the wait. Our service was terrific, thanks to Bella and the free Friday Mudslide she gave us. The atmosphere was fun and loud, which made for a good family outing. We'll be back again.

Yelp
We came on a Tuesday for dinner for my dad's birthday, and there was no wait time at all. Our server was Chelsea and she was super helpful and attentive. We got the All American Tour since we wanted to try the NY steak. It was plenty enough for 4 people and we even had leftovers to take home. The NY steak was *chef's kiss*. It was super tender and melted in my mouth. The chimichurri sauce gave it a kick of flavor and elevated it even more. The brisket was also very melty and fatty. Highly recommend getting the All American Tour for the NY steak alone and it's a better deal! The restaurant has a bar/restaurant vibe. There were tons of screens that played different sports games. Parking is easy, there are a lot of structures around that has 90 minutes free parking. I only ended paying $1 for two hours.

Yelp
I grew up in the south, so I admit that my bar for bbq is high. But this was, by far, the WORST bbq I've ever had. I ordered the tri tip and my husband got the brisket grilled cheese. We ordered fries, brussel sprouts and mac and cheese to share. First, we waited so long for someone to just come take our drink order that we considered just leaving. The food arrived very suspiciously quickly (microwave...?) and was incredibly bland. Our lemonade (what bbq restaurant serves Minute Maid vs making their own!?) came AFTER the food arrived. The tri tip was offensively overcooked and the presentation just made it look sad. Barely ate any of the mac and cheese. It just had no flavor. The table (outside) was sticky and desperately needed to be wiped down. Then we got the wrong check...for a larger table/order. Thankfully we checked it before paying. To not offend the very sweet server, we decided to box up our not-even-half-eaten meal and go get food elsewhere. Definitely won't be returning and do not recommend.

Yelp
I'm full, very-very full. I was hungry before arriving, but left overly stuffed. Had dinner with my brother and his family, so we went big and ordered the "Last Supper," family meal. We'll be eating (a lot of) leftovers tomorrow! Pros- lots of tables which allowed for flexible reservations. Food, it was tasty and also quite plentiful. Cons- service was very slow. For the size of the restaurant, they definitely did not have enough workers to man it. Water glasses were empty for long periods of time and needed to be requested several times. Service seemed rushed, but was super slow at the same time. Our table was filled with (our) dirty dishes, so we moved them to the next table for space. It was quite overcrowded. That table was vacated and left with dirty dishes, so we added to the pile... did not dirty a clean table! Our waitress was sometimes curt, sometimes friendly. I think the owners/mgmt really need to hire more people, so the current staff are not spread so thin. Was glad to have tried the bbq, but don't think we'll come back.

Yelp
The food was pretty good but there is a huge catch. We got the Last Supper family platter to share among eight people (the menu says the last supper feeds 8-10 people). The main problem with Craft by Smoke & Fire is that they do not give enough food. Of the eight people in our party, half were small girls and none of us ate much. Although no one left hungry per se, some of the portions were ridiculously small. The tomahawk steak tasted great but it yielded about one small slice per person. The one fat short rib definitely wasn't enough for eight, let alone ten people. The short rib yielded about two tablespoons per person after we shredded it. There were two sausages so everyone was able to enjoy 2-3 slices of that. The brisket and pastrami were better portioned than the short rib but yielded about a slice each per person. The real travesty was the puny amount of sides. Six sides came in those single serve ice cream style cups. Each person was able to taste less than a tablespoon of each side. The six sides were enough for approximately two people. For 8-10 people there needed to be 3-4 times the amount. They really were stingy with the cornbread too. Each already small piece had to be halved to get eight pieces--a literal bite for each person. The Last Supper was $225. With 5 beers, tax and 18% tip added, the total bill came out to $364. Our server, China, was great. But her attentiveness and sparkling attitude doesn't make up for the shameless stinginess of the restaurant. I've never left a Barbeque restaurant less than satisfied before, until I went to Craft by Smoke&Fire. A one and done experience for sure.

Yelp
The space is trendy and open. Very loud, but a good vibe. The food was good, and the portions are generous. Chelsea, our server, was amazing, even on a super busy night. She was polite, friendly, and took great care of us.

Yelp
AMAZING! First the vibe was very much come in and enjoy some smoked meat, it give the energy of a lumberjack getting back from a week of cutting wood And all he wants is some good meat, a cold drink and good energy And that's actually what this place gives. Jennifer was GREAT! So nice and super knowledgeable about the food, she gave us free shots as we sat at the table! Really good! I wish I remembered what they were but definitely would order a round next time! We started with the brisket nachos.....10/10! Would have never thought pickles would work with purple nachos but they definitely go together for me from now on! We both got a different main sandwichs and man they both had us full and satisfied! This place was amazing I can't say it enough 100/10 Added to my forever list! Ask gor

Yelp
Last night I had the pleasure of dining at craft by Smoke and Fire in Pasadena, a highly recommended spot known for its innovative take on American BBq and smokehouse dishes. As a fan of hearty, flavorful food, I was excited to try this modern eatery and see if lived up to its reputation for bold flavors and creative presentation. The service was top notch from start to finish. The menu is a meat lover's paradise. The meat were juicy and flavorful, perfectly cooked with a deep smoky flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant for the meat lovers and food enthusiasts out there.

Yelp
Craft is one of the better BBQ spots in the LA area! The whole vibe here is chill they have a bunch of tables as this place is massive. It's also a really good spot to watch some sports as they have tons of tvs and a giant TV wall. It's a very open modern concept in terms of design. The service is great our waitress was very nice and friendly! The food is great honestly everything we got was really good! Highly Recommend: Garlic Bread 4/5 Rudy's Vegan Sandwich 5/5 Smoked Brisket Half Pound 4/5 Smoked Chicken Breast 4/5 BBQ Sauce 5/5 Street Corn 5/5 Creamy Blue Cheese Slaw 5/5 BBQ Nachos 5/5 Good But Not Great: Brisket And Short Rib Sausage Baked Potato If you are ever in the Pasadena area I highly recommend Craft BBQ!!!

Yelp
Came here because I had heard so much and they use Creekstone meats. I didn't realize that they have a brunch today! You guys!!! I never thought I was a lucky person but stumbling across this place during brunch hour made me question things... Am I lucky now? They have a menu but we only ate from the brunch buffet, all you can eat BBQ brunch, why would you choose anything else? They have usual brunch options like eggs, potatoes, and French toast. But the stars of the show are all the smoked meats they have. The sausage and egg tacos are so good I ate 2. My favorite smoked meat was the pastrami. I was in BBQ heaven eating here, if you love BBQ you have to come and you have to come to the brunch. Highly highly highly recommend!!

Yelp
Came here for Father's Day and we had a great time! I wish we got our waitress's name because she was absolutely wonderful! She was extremely nice and patient with our family as we had a pretty large party. She also brought out a beer on the house for my dad! Food was great: I got the bbq chicken salad which was way bigger than I had expected. My only complaint is that it can get a little warm in this restaurant as I'm not sure if they have ac or not but there were fans up above. Other than that, I can't complain and would return again!

Yelp
It's just one of those places that you can find in any semi large city all across the country. Just a safe place with safe bbq. I understand why it's highly rated because the atmosphere was nice and the food was aight. It just missed the spot with me. Service was slow until someone noticed and that girl did a good job of saving whoever was supposed to be our server. It was a long day and this place just did not blow me away. Not bad, not great Three stars sounds about right
google avatar

Kris T.

Yelp
Service was amazing! They unfortunately only had plastic utensils and our drinks took ages to come out, but we went on a busy day. The BBQ was great, but unsure if it was worth the price. I went with 3 others and got the "All the smoke" (I think), which was meant to serve 4-6 people. It was perfect for the 4 of us and 2 of us were light eaters. The Mac and Cheese and mashed potatoes were the best sides.
google avatar

Yelp
I had a chance to check out this place while I was in town. Overall, the food was great. Had the trip, garlic & herb mashed potatoes, and the mud pie for dessert. Highly recommend all items. The only reason why I can't give this 5 stars is because the service was spotty at best. I had to signal to the staff every time I wanted to request something. Overall, I would come back for the food. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.
google avatar

Sumieya M.

Yelp
Food was just ok, I can't even tell you what I ordered. The service left much to be desired, they are clearly understaffed and I felt terrible for the waitresses.
google avatar

Karen P.

Yelp
The BBQ was decent, but it was a bit too salty for me. The alcoholic drink was also stronger than I expected--I could barely taste the actual flavors. While the portion size was good, I would have preferred the BBQ to be less salty, more tender, and juicier.
google avatar

Shane M.

Yelp
This place is why I use Yelp when I travel. Number one rated in this area and now I understand why. Beers are refreshing and delicious, not to mention 2 for 1 for happy hour! Really cool layout of the place with local flare on the walls. Noice! The brisket is so tender and tasty! Ordered the brisket burrito and the Mac and cheese is stuffed in that sucker. What a great combo! Meg was very knowledgeable of the beers and food and made my first experience in Pasadena a great one. Thank you Meg! Your service is wicked awesome.

Yelp
Craft by Smoke and Fire is a must if you are in the old Pasadena area. It's at a great location, perfect for sports fans (plenty of TVs) or for a lunch/dinner date. First, the food. Our waitress, Chelsea, gave us an excellent recommendation with our appetizer, the Mountain High Loaded Fries (with Prime Brisket). This is a meal in itself. It is delicious. We continued with the Birria Tacos. I told myself that I wouldn't eat much of these tacos because of the size of the loaded fries. I lied. I couldn't help it. That's how awesome the tacos were. The short rib and Birria combination was amazing. The only shortcoming was the salad. It was a pile of lettuce. The ambiance was great. TVs everywhere showing different sporting events. Good music playing throughout the restaurant. And the service was great. Thanks to Chelsea for being a great host. I'll definitely be back. I highly recommend Craft by Smoke and Fire.

Hilda C.

Yelp
Craft's food and service was amazing! I would definitely come back and recommend! Ivy demonstrated great customer service, she was so helpful suggesting her favorite items on the menu and customers favs as well. She was very attentive checked up on us often, she's friendly and sweet. This location did not disappoint it was perfect vibe of indoor and outdoor. The ambiance is a perfect outing to come to with friends and family and catch a good ol dodger game
google avatar

Yelp
Ana was amazing, we even got free tots with chili and I am not mad about it. Refills on soda was constant, really didn't need to worry about getting Ana's attention. The rack of lamb is really good, fall off the bone. The brisket nachos were good, the pastrami sandwich was a bit too salty. Overall a good hearty meal and then food coma. That corn bread is pretty good.
google avatar

Tanya R.

Yelp
We were seated quickly and cheerfully, our waiter Adam was prompt and attentive, and the pastrami sandwich and brisket quesadilla were just what the doctor ordered. With crispy pickles! First time there, will not be the last.
google avatar

Lea M.

Yelp
Y'all I can't express how much I enjoyed my experience here! I really wish that I would've caught our servers name so that I could give her the kudos she deserves because she was fabulous, so friendly and attentive, as were the bar staff! The short rib Birria tacos were straight up FIRE!!! The atmosphere was extremely laid back and fun in a very chill way and not overly loud as similar restaurants usually are so it was nice to be able to have a nice conversation over dinner. I loved how the little ode's if you will to Pasadena throughout the decor ... Craft is certainly a must try if you're looking to have a great dinner with friends and family or date night! 10/10 Chefs kiss!

Yelp
Food and service was good until the very end when they added sales tax after the service fee which is illegal under the IRS and state of California sales tax regulations and laws

Yelp
I have advice for the management --- Invest in a dishwasher for the bar. And if you can't do that invest in Service. My third time coming here in a span of 3 months. First time I came here, I was delighted by the food and drink. I thought finally great meats with a good martini. Second time here, same experience. I ordered the same tacos and martini, I was happy. Friday, Jul 19 at 3 pm was my third time. I was meeting an old friend in Pasadena, and told her about this place. Of course, I was hoping for a repeat win. But this time... NO. Big NO. I got my Vodka Martini. I drank a few sips of it. To my surprise there was residue from a pervious drink. The bartender told me it was from a lemon foam. Strange, I though... since my martini only had 2 ingredients. Vodka and vermouth. None of those would produce a residue. When I had pressed the bartender further since I could not logically understand why and how, he then explained that the glass was washed but the residue does not come off. I couldn't finish the drink, and decided to go to another bar. I'm baffled by the response and couldn't accept the reason. My suggestion is to invest in a dishwasher that can remove residue from the glasses or just don't make drinks that have a residue you can't wash off. It's also hard in California. It's true, I'm probably spoiled with clean dishes, but if a customer tells you the glass has a previous drink's residue... replace the drink. I ended up paying for it. Really disappointed.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday night for dinner around their late night happy hour. Sadly they were sold out of the ribs. Food came out cold unfortunately but was still decent. However what really made our experience bad was somehow our check got switched up with another table when our card was processed for the bill.

Yelp
The ambiance of this spot was amazing - they played great music, it was casual but a great spot for groups and dinner couple and family dates! Everyone can feel comfortable here. Our server JENNIFER was truly top notch!!! She was so attentive with us, walked us through the menu and provided us a 10/10 experience as we were first time diners here. She made sure our food was cooked perfectly and truly was a breath of fresh air in the service industry!!!! Thank You Jen for an amazing experience - we will be back!!! Drinks were delicious: the entire menu, you seriously cannot go wrong. The rib eyes and brisket we ordered was cooked to perfection and perfect temperature we requested. The sides and cesar salad we ordered were delicious - compliments to the kitchen for a mouth watering experience. I literally couldn't stop saying "omg" after every bite!!! Can't wait to come back !!!!!

Yelp
Excellent food, excellent service, good drinks! If I have to say one thing I thought could be better, it is get AC. Or maybe more fans, it's extremely hot. This open concept is probably just fine in the winter, but not comfortable in this Summer heat.
google avatar

Eunice K.

Yelp
The food portions were very generous and delicious. The Birria quesadilla is a must. The bbq salad was also very well balanced and delicious. Ana was an attentive and friendly server. We'd come back for the ambiance and food.

Yelp
Came here the other night for the first time and I would definitely come back. They have inside and outside seating which is great. Tons of space inside. You can also sit at the bar if you want. The bartender Danny was phenomenal. I just told him what type of alcohol I liked and he came up with some super yummy drinks! Definitely skilled! If he is your bartender you're in luck! We started with the pretzel. Holy wow... get the pretzel! The cjeese sauce was everything I needed. We got the shrimp tacos which were massive! The crisp was perfect and the tacos were filled with flavor. The crunch from the salsa and slaw were the perfect touch. We got the brisket and it was cooked juicy. The cornbread was smooth no corn kernels which is the way I love it so it was awesome. They even gave us free nachos. This place is seriously great. I will be back.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this by accident as we were looking for a new place to try. Great food, great atmosphere, and parking is a breeze as you can just park in the structure and walk a small distance. Only caveat was the dessert took a long time and honestly, wasn't that great. But the food and service were wonderful. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I've wanted to try Craft by Smoke & Fire for a long time and I finally stopped by at the Pasadena location. They cleverly use barbecue meats and combine it with classic American comforts. The pictures and great reviews are what first caught my eye and convinced me it was worth checking out myself. We made a reservation for Saturday around 2:15 pm, but there was plenty of seating when we arrived. It was Easter weekend and there was an all you can eat buffet for $45 with the optional all you can drink mimosas for an additional $25. I don't know if they host the buffet every weekend, but I think it's a great value. While the assortment of food options looked good, we opted for the regular menu. We ended up sharing plates between four people and ordered a michelada, fried chicken sandwich, brisket quesadilla, and queso fundido. There were plenty of other items that looked worth trying, so I will be back. The fried chicken sandwich was good, but nothing special. I didn't mind it for a place that doesn't specialize in fried chicken. It had a fresh slaw on top and was served with seasoned waffle fries. The queso fundido was excellent. It had great flavor from the Oaxacan cheese and was topped with a small portion of brisket and bbq sauce. The bbq sauce added a slight sweetness that I enjoyed. The brisket quesadilla had most of its cheese on the outside. I thought it was okay overall, with nothing standing out, but was much improved when we dipped it in the queso fundido. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. At the end of our meal, the server brought out some complimentary onion rings. Parking in downtown Pasadena is always tough, but you can typically find street parking for a couple bucks within a block or two. Very pleased with my experience overall!

Robyn K.

Yelp
Aly the host greeted us immediately upon arriving and was so kind! She got us seated right away! Kylee was our server and she took great care of us! The food was delicious and they were able to get in and out quickly as we were kind of in a hurry! Will definitely be back when we have more time!

Yelp
We like the food and our server was nice. Here's the issue: 3% service charge is added to your bill. You're not notified about this ahead of time, it's just on your bill. Plus, tax is added to the service fee. I asked for it to be removed. I then added that fee (plus some) to the server's tip. Just be upfront about your prices. Easy-peasy!
google avatar

Tanya T.

Yelp
The vibe here is nice. Lots of screens and space to watch sports. Parking can be tough to find though. Jen was our server and the was very attentive and communicative. The place is doggo friendly too! The meat here is bomb. Unsure if it was cause it was before closing, but the food was alright. Tri tip: 4.5/5 originally I was going to give this a 5/5 cause it hit the spot. Then my partner was like you can't eat this without the sauce. Then I was like.... You right. But with the sauce def 5/5. Corn: 3.5/5 wish there was more cheese. I thought the fried onion strings would do something to add flavor, but I didn't feel it did much. Most of the flavor was at the bottom of the cup. Brussels sprouts: 3/5 just fried in oil, there was no seasoning, or I didn't taste it much. There wasn't much texture either. Loaded potato: 3.5/5 wish there was more chive and sour cream.

Yelp
Beware of the 3% service fee! Ordered to go, and good was not bad. The mash potatoes could have been less chunky. Mac and cheese was decent. To-go service was fine. But you cannot order the phone, you have to come in person to order to go.

Omg food and service was amazing! Our waitress Kylie went over and beyond to exceed all expectations. She was so attentive and genuine.. This was the most flavorful chicken I had in a long time. Mac n cheese was great! Come check it out!

Yelp
We found Craft through Yelp and the reviews didn't lie! The food and drinks were amazing and we appreciated that the early evening dinner service was kid friendly. Ivy was our server and she was great! Thank you for the great service Ivy, you made our experience five star!
