Google
Super family friendly establishment. And pet friendly. Staff is attentive and beer is fresh and tasty. I had a flight and enjoyed all of them. I let Dayday picked my flight. Food truck is a great addition and the food comes out quick. Low key vibe. It’s worth checking it out!

Google
We booked Craft Coast Catering for our wedding and they absolutely nailed it. They were really accommodating with a few menu requests we had, and their pricing was totally reasonable for the quality and service they delivered. Their staff was awesome and made sure everyone got their food quickly, which we really appreciated with a big group. One funny note is that we didn’t try the sauce during our tasting and had no idea how spicy it was. We didn’t warn our guests, which is on us, but the food was still really good. Just something to keep in mind if you’re serving a crowd. Overall, we were super happy with Craft Coast and would recommend them without hesitation.

Google
We split the nachos and that was perfect. A beer each and we were good 👍 Definitely will return when we have to go to Kaiser.

Google
We were introduced to this place by family and now we go eat here at least once a week!! The carne asada tacos, birria style are absolutely amazing but they do offer chicken and adobada. They also brew their own beer on-site so every glass is cold and refreshing!! The staff is great and the atmosphere is very laid back. You have to try it... you won't be disappointed!!

Google
Delicious! I tried the Birria tacos, Carne Asada Taco Bowl and Birria Nachos! Even though I was told that the Birria was the most popular I think the Carne Asada was better and agreed with one of the bartenders. I did like the Birria, but the flavor wasn't as bold as some others I have tried. Regardless, the Birria Nachos with everything in it was great! I would definitely order it again but next time try a different meat. I also tried the Carne Asada Taco Bowl which was really tasty and a good amount portion if you get a taco on the side.

Best tacos I've had in awhile, great beer, loved Agua Baja!

Google
Fantastic new build out. I can't wait to see what else they do with this awesome location. Craft Coast really took a location that was great before and made it extra great. They have a wide variety of beers to choose from. There is lots of indoor and outdoor seating. It's a perfect place to hang out on a spring and summer day and just relax with a great beer in hand. The food is excellent too. They really captured the small brewery and a food truck vibe. You can walk up to the food truck outside and put in your order. If their beer is good, the food is a step above that. Something for everyone when it come to their food selection. The parking lot is fairly large, but the lot is narrow, and you might have to walk from the other side of the parking lot if it's a busy weekend day. There is no street parking nearby, but there is parking around the back of the building. Wheelchair accessible parking right up front.

Yelp
The beer? AMAZING! There's a huge list. A beer for everyone. Haven't had a bad one yet. The taco stand outside serve phenomenal tacos. Two should be plenty, but if you're hungry get the. They also sell mulitas, nachos, carne asada fries, quesadillas. They also have a great variety of homemade salsas from mild to spicy! Limited menu, but you'll find something you'll love for sure. Downside is that it can get a little noisy inside and outside seating has limited seats in shaded spots and several sun exposed tables I highly recommend this business! It's s fast spot to meetup with friends, or even just grab a pint and/or taco to soothe the soul. But overall, friendly staff, quality beer and food,

Yelp
Delicious beers and tacos! One beer line, moves at a pretty slow pace. Beers were good. Tacos were good. Busy, hard to find a table, but was able to share with others. A bit pricey for tacos tho. Love the vibe. Amazing tacos Plenty of parking Big and busy

Yelp
We happened to be in the area and needed to kill some time before our event began, so we decided to get a beer and a bite here. We ordered the aqua baja Mexican lager and the birria nachos. The beer was nice and light and the birria nachos was awesome. It's a generous portion for $12.50. The chips were thin and crispy, lots of birria, sour cream and guacamole and very cheesy. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Their kitchen is outdoor, almost looks like food truck style. It was pretty busy on a Friday around 5pm. Lots of outside seating as well as an open concept seating inside. The tacos looked really good so I will have to try that for sure next time.

Yelp
Super chill little spot to snag a great beer and some decent food truck mexican food. Service is walk up and order at the counter style. The beer tender was super nice and talkative. I really enjoyed the half pours of beef I had, I have not enjoyed a new brewery's beer in a long time like I did at this one. Definitely stop by for the beer!

Yelp
Cool place to chill. We came on a Friday evening and it was packed. Looks like half families and half people that worked around there. We shared a table with another couple. Seating inside and outside. There's a taco truck built in to the place. There is one line to order drinks and food. And there's only one person manning that line. That is the only reason the line is long. Wouldn't hurt to have 2? Took about 10-15 minutes on busy evening. We got a seltzer water and their popular stardust IPA. Got 2 tacos- birria and Al pastor, and a quesadilla for the baby. I liked my hard seltzer which was Ranch Water at the time. It was refreshing. And the NE IPA was delicious. The tacos were really good too. The habanero hot sauce is where it's at. It's quite pricey for one though, about $5.25 ish. In my opinion, it was good but not worth the price for a small street taco. Overpriced but we enjoyed the 2 and our toddler enjoyed the quesadilla. We're gonna try going on a slower day next time to enjoy some space and a table. But good beers and tacos!

Yelp
Great beer even better food. Service was very friendly and attentive. It was full of life and people. It was seating inside was utilitarian but surprisingly homey. The patio was great. We were so hungry we inhaled the birria craft coast style taco, the carne asada nachos, a polo asado taco and a carne asada mulita. Yum yum yum!! Pictures on our next visit.

Yelp
I have been to this place four times in the last three weeks. I'm hooked. The birria and carne asada tacos are great and the Old West IPA is fantastic. I've also had the carne asada nachos which were very good. I went to the Oceanside one first. It has a better setup for those of us who have dogs and sit outside, but the tacos were not quite as good.
google avatar

Yelp
Love this spot for tacos and mulitas. Fresh, simple and tasty. Reminds me of the taco shops in north Baja. Beer is good too!

Yelp
Craft Coast Beer and Taco in San Marcos has a strong, happy gathering pub vibe, perfect for kicking back with friends and enjoying some delicious tacos. Parking's easy, and there's plenty of seating both indoors and out, so you can enjoy the fresh air while watching your food get prepped right outside. Staff was super nice and helpful. Now, onto the tacos! We went for quesobirria, veggie taco with cheese done birria style, al pastor, and pollo mulita. The mulita was hands down our fave. The meat was ridiculously tender, and the sandwich-style taco just hit the spot. The al pastor had great flavor, though there was maybe a touch too much guac for me. The pineapple slice is always a great addition to Lebanese-influenced al pastor taco. The birria was solid, but the consommé was super oily, which was a bit of a bummer. The tacos weren't as crispy as I like but still good. The chips? Crunch perfection. I went for the guac, and it was absolutely worth it: crispy, salty, and at a great price. As for the salsas, they nailed it: spicy, flavorful, and the perfect accompaniment to every taco. If you're craving tasty tacos and a fun pub vibe, Craft Coast's got you covered!
google avatar

Ashley L.

Yelp
What a fun and lively place! Great beer, filling tacos and spacious open floor plan! There was so much sun coming in to enjoy the many beers on tap! Stop by to enjoy the good and beer. They serve you with a smile!
google avatar

Yelp
If you're in the San Marcos area and looking for good beer and good food, this is the spot. If this was once a secret, it no longer is! The place was packed. Lots of people, singles, couples, groups of friends and families. There are large roll up doors/windows give the room an open airy vibe and there's also a patio next to a food truck. The line to order was a little long when we arrived but it went quickly! The Birria tacos were delicious, with generous portions of meat! The carne asada nachos were also tasty! The meat was tender and good sized pieces.

Yelp
By far the best tacos I've ever had! I'm a huge foodie, so I've have my fair share of tacos ... and the best part is, it's down the street from my house! I've been coming here every week with my family for the last month lol also! we always get greeted by Ray (which is nice to be acknowledged) AND he always gives us amazing service. So thank you!!! Can't wait to come back again, and again.....and again ;)

Yelp
I love Craft Coast Tacos & Beer in San Marcos--truly one of my favorite places in North County. Their Birria Tacos are heavenly. The beef is so tender, juicy, and flavorful and dipped into the consome is perfection. I also highly recommend their Carne Asada and Al Pastor Tacos. Their beer also pairs so well with the tacos. It's one of the best brew pubs in the area!
google avatar

Darci M.

Yelp
Soooo delicious- I've willingly tried each taco and I can say there isn't one that tastes bad! They each are delicious and savory and yummy in their own ways! The chips, guacamole and salsa pair great with the beers, the side creams and salsas are also so good to drizzle in the tacos or dip a chip! They do have some seltzers, and non alcoholic drinks. It can be kid or dog friendly but gets crowded and it's sorta an extended parking lot vibe so kids don't really have a designated play area and dogs can find it overwhelming on a crowded day- heck I find it overwhelming to the point where it's standing room only -

Yelp
When RIP Current brewery vacated ;( Craft Coast Beer&Tacos took over. They have well made beers and in styles to accommodate most beer lovers. The food is Mexican and flavorful, recommend the birria. They have patio areas in sun & shade. The inside is nice and cool in the middle of summer too.
google avatar

Craig W.

Yelp
Beer and tacos. You don't need to say anything more. Count me in. They took over craft brewery Rip Current's former space. I liked Rip Current but time marches on. You order at the inside counter for both beer and food and get a buzzer. The tacos and mulitas and quesadillas are made fresh just outside on the patio. We tried a bunch of different tacos and mulitas and everything was excellent. They have all the usual protein suspects: pastor, carne asada, pollo asada, birria, etc. Believe it or not, the pollo asada was probably my favorite but everything was good. Even the chips were super fresh and the guac had huge chunks of avocado in it. I only tried one beer, the Oscura, a dark lager. It's very dark but, unfortunately, I didn't get much flavor out of it. The beer menu is very heavy on the IPAs. If IPAs are your thing, this could be your happy place. I'm not a huge IPA guy but I would give some of the IPAs a try another time. I'm not sure if they do flights here, which they should. Honestly, the food was so good, I would return just for the food, although the taco prices are very high. In fairness, the tacos are large. Seating inside and out. Plenty of free parking.

Yelp
I came here on a lunchbreak... didn't have anything to drink.. LOVED THE VIBE!! METAL!!! service was perfect order both food/drinkinside. water was self serve food was great! i was impressed. we sat outside had a patio heater... definitely would come back

Yelp
We loved this place. Nice beer selection (including a couple of Hazy's, which I prefer). Ordered some tacos and a beer, and sat on the patio. The patio was open, which is lit at night by string lites. Food, drink, service we're all great. Loved the relaxing atmosphere.

Yelp
Met up with some friends to grab some tacos and a beer. It's located down the street from the Nordstrom Rack shopping center, and also near Meadiocrity. Our group ended up bringing two kids. There was plenty of room for our baby stroller in the inside seating area, and it was fun to see how family friendly this place is. Multiple other groups had dogs, infants, toddlers, etc. I ordered Chillzner (Italian Pilsner) which won a gold medal. Crisp, not super hoppy. Definitely would order it again. Went well with the taco I ordered. Overall a fun place to hang out and grab some beers and tacos.

Yelp
I went here recently for dinner and the food was delicious! I have been wanting to go here for a while now and oh my!! It did not disappoint. We tried the birria tacos, birria mulita, chicken taco, and carne asada taco. All were so delicious! The carne asada especially had such great flavor, the birria was juicy and full of flavor. And the beer was an added bonus. We will definitely be coming back again and making craft coast a regular on our places to visit!
google avatar

Yelp
I only ordered 2 tacos and it was DELICIOUS!!! THE TORTILLA WAS FANTASTIC and the carne asada and birria were so good! I highly recommend. It was pretty packed when I got there on a thursday night. But it was delicious. Parking wasn't too bad, but did get full pretty quick. When you order inside, they give you a buzzer and pick up the taco outside. My cousin ordered the beer but I can't remember what it was or if she liked it.
google avatar

Yelp
RIP Rip Current, I miss those big barrel aged beers. Sad to see them gone. But now we have a craft coast in its place. The beers are certainly not the same as those rip current beers, but the lagers they did have were tasty and enjoyable. Perfect to pair with tacos! I tried a variety of tacos, and they were all very good. Right now, the tacos are made in a food truck, and I'm not sure if this is the end plan, or just what they are doing for now. Either way they were excellent. I especially enjoyed the Birria. There was actually a good amount of people there, but still plenty of room for us to sit inside. They had a good selection of salsas which were self-serve and they were also all pretty good! Although I found the tacos a bit expensive, they were good enough that I will be back for more! The staff was friendly and helpful.

Yelp
My co-workers have been raving about Craft Coast for a while now so decided to go for my birthday. What a great way to spend an evening! The hype was real! Plenty of parking. Can sit indoors or outside. They are dog friendly. You order inside and they are really helpful with suggestions. Pro Tip: order a beer and a taco. Then when you order your next beer, order another taco so it is FRESH. My wife is VERY judgmental about tacos. She LOVED them. Fresh tortillas. If you adore cheese like my wife does, order birria style. She believes the tacos here are better than Taco Stand and a lot of others feel the same way. Place is ALWAYS hopping and the vibes are chill. Had the Old West which is a solid IPA and then their Mexican lager which was refreshing. We can't wait to go to their Oceanside location.
google avatar

Yelp
So DAMN delicious! Seriously best all time tacos ever! I'm heading back this weekend! Lots of beers on tap, tv with games on, and an excellent food truck that is quick! Seating is long picnic table style so a perfect for a large group. However we had a very large group so half were inside and half outside but it still worked! Soda variety was glass bottles, Mexican coke my favorite Tip: Order first at the register inside. There is only one restroom so go early. Get the cream lime sauce... best sauce ever!!! Great freaky flavor added to taco. You pour your own salsa in mini cups. I liked each of the salsas! Super cute spot! This is a hidden gem I did t have a beer but the friends we went with loved what they ordered!
google avatar

Yelp
Chill and unwind. This Craft Coast Beer & Tacos location is perfect for it. Here is why. Service and ambience: Perfect size for gathering with friends and family. There is good number of seating areas both inside and outside. Big doors and windows were opened which brought nice breeze through the brewery. Quick and friendly service! Food and beer: Let's start with food. You must try their tacos with home made tortillas! Delicious. Selection of beer was okay. Not many choices for regular lager drinkers but IPA folks would definitely find something they enjoy. Pricing: Standard. Food was priced fair for the quality and taste.
google avatar

Yelp
In what used to be Rip Current, Craft Coast slings beer and birria and is a nice food and drinking addition to the area. High marks for the food; we had chips, guac, birria tacos and Al Pastor mulitas. All were delicious and I'd eat here again. They had about a dozen or so beers on tap. 2/3 of them seemed to be an IPA of some sort, there were a couple pilsners and one sour. So why 3 stars? It's open seating and we found a table and sat down at 12:30pm. I went in to order food and beer (the rest of my party , which included an infant, stayed seated at the table) and when I came back out, one of the employees had put a little sign on our table to indicate that the table was now reserved for someone at 1:00pm. Despite there being people already sitting at the table well before the sign was put down, they told my party they were welcome to sit until 1:00, which was 20 minutes away at this point, but that we'd have to vacate the table. It was a busy Saturday and there were no other open tables. With beers in hand, food on the way and a baby, we would've had nowhere to sit. Pretty ridiculous to try to kick someone out of the table they were at first. We found a different employee and explained what happened. Luckily she was more understanding and removed the sign. It ended up working out fine and we had a nice time but it was an odd decision to make. Probably a one-off and I'd still give this place another shot and chalk it up to a miscommunication.

Leticia S.

Yelp
Ordered tacos and what I received looked as if it was leftover from a previous customer. I called to discuss and sent emails with no response.
google avatar

Thomas H.

Yelp
So I start my tacos with the one bite test. Handmade tortillas tendor flavorful all the pics look great on Yelp but how do they taste? Bomb, bomb bomb! So good. Got the birria mulita and polo asada taco. They grill the chicken right there. Have to ask and pay for the birria dip but it's worth it. Only had the amber lager but I really liked how smooth it was. The atmosphere has a cool vibe. Love the indoor out door patio with food truck grilling right outside. There's a pool table inside. Clean and inviting. Going to be a regular stop.
google avatar

Chari M.

Yelp
I've been eyeing on this place since they opened up very recently! I love their whole setup vibe, with the taco trailer outside by the outdoor patio, indoors is spacious to sit in as well. Friendly service the second you walk in! I ordered "To Go" and it was decent timing of waiting, 5min if that! It was around 1:30pm Thursday and there were several people there already eating at their tables. I ordered Birria (SO good, wish I ordered another!) Al Pastor (my absolute favorite!!!) Asada and Pollo tacos, the Asada was good but the Pastor won me over! Pollo was tender and not over cooked, was good but felt it was missing some extra flavor. Their tortillas are delicious, will be back for more very soon!
google avatar

Kim F.

Yelp
Excellent beer selection. All that we tried were fantastic. The tacos were very good, comparable price, and quick.
google avatar

Christina K.

Yelp
Excellent beer!!! Good food - tacos are amazing! For the LOVE OF GOD - please calm down on the chip oil - it looks like they're sunbathing in baby oil This place is always busy but the lines move fast! Quick service & patio seating is great! Would love it if you got more than 1 tv & more parking and seating ‍
google avatar

Tom S.

Yelp
I am not a beer expert, not my usual drink of choice, but the tacos were amazing. Well worth a visit to an industrial/commercial area.
google avatar

Karen M.

Yelp
Good tacos and beer. Kid friendly. Just wish there was more seating. We lucked out and were able to share a bench with another family. The place was busy! Got carne asada, al pastor and birria tacos and nachos. All were good. The carne asada was the favorite protein. Kid approved! If in the area will definitely return!
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
Everyone needs to know about this taco spot. F O O D Al pastor on a spit roast cooked between two tortillas and cheese??? Mulitas are bombbbb here. They also have six or eight different sauces, but I like the cilantro cream sauce (I know, it's not spicy, but the al pastor already has great flavor. It's well worth iexploring if you're not driving to SD. We've explored many taco spots in the area, but this spot is our new fav. They also have a beer selection, but I don't drink beer so can't comment on that. A M B I E N C E Indoor/outdoor options, chill vibe
google avatar

Felipe R.

Yelp
My dad talked about this place for awhile, I guess they have another location as well. It took my wife and I awhile to carve out some time and check this place out. I was really disappointed that it took us so long to do so. Since our first visit my wife and I have been back about 5 times. Everyone in these reviews is raving about the birria tacos, and with good reason, they are great! However, my favorite is the carne asada taco. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they came out. The tortillas are great, the beef is tender and everything has great flavor. The beer selection is good if you are into IPAs and they usually have a few sours as well. I would love to see more love for a porter or stout but I can't really complain. What they do have on tap is really good. Service is also great. Everyone at the bar is SO NICE and the people working the grill are great as well. Seating is limited and they are always packed, I recommend that you get there as soon as they open if you are looking to secure a spot there.

Yelp
Best/ Delicious Tacos & Beer!!! I first arrived around lunch time, no wait time, I was welcomed and greeted by Ray. Ray was very knowledgeable of all of their beers, let me taste their lighter stuff because "I'm just a girl!" I Really enjoyed the chiller! He shared some of the popular food items on their menu with me, took his advice and got the al pastor Mulita & Birria taco! Added the chimchurri salsa, it was ammmmmaazzzingly delicious all together!!! Ray was really great!! Tables are clean and the attention to detail outside, from the succulents to all of the art work, & music, such a great environment!!! Overall had the best experience, I will be coming back from Orange County more often just to have the tacos and beer again!!!
google avatar

Harinder K.

Yelp
Lively spot for relaxing and enjoying decent food. Order at the counter and pickup food outside. They need more vegetarian options. Ample parking.
google avatar

Yaz O.

Yelp
My go to taco place!!! Once you try craft coast there really is no going back. It is pricey but worth it in my opinion. My friends and I love to come here.

William C.

Yelp
Delicious tacos and crafted beer! 10 out of 10, I will be back for sure. Parking is easy along the sidewalk

Debbie T.

Yelp
Great taco and beer pub. The tacos are made fresh in an outdoor kitchen. They take a while, but they're worth it. There is a self serve salsa bar. I had a birria taco and a taco al pastor and they were delicious. The person at the register was friendly and helpful. I'm not a big beer drinker and the only other alcoholic option was what they called. Ranch water... tasted a lot like diluted beer with seltzer. it would be great if they offered white claws or something similar. All in all, I would definitely go back.
google avatar

Lisa W.

Yelp
Great food!!! My husband took me out for tacos and beer to celebrate Mother's day. The tacos were flavor full. And boy were they busy! Definitely a return visit. Check it out!!
google avatar

Janelle H.

Yelp
I do love their shootz mahalo and their food is fantastic. However tonight their playlist is on point. I've been an Alkaline Trio fan for MANY years and I've never heard them played at a bar before. So, kudos to you Craft Coast. Hell yes.
google avatar

Jonathan B.

Yelp
Service is friendly and on top of it. The carne asada tacos are delicious and flavorful, the birria taco
google avatar

Becky F.

Yelp
I really like the set up here. Inside and outside seating. They have a food truck but you order inside with the beer orders. They weren't too busy and we walked right up and placed our order. They give you a buzzier to pick up your food. I ordered a veggie taco and it was so good that I ordered a second one. My husband got the al pastor taco and really liked it. We will definitely be back.

Angel M.

Yelp
First time trying this place and it was packed for a Wednesday. Tacos de birria or nachos de birria are recommended. Sonata was 2nd place . Asada wasn't too good I wouldn't recommend. Place was very nice and clean. Had the baseball game on and was a vibe.
google avatar

Crystal F.

Yelp
We stopped in after trying a nearby meadery, it's a really good place if you like tacos and beer. Service was quick and easy, and they had a very chill atmosphere. Tacos were made from a food truck, where you also have to pick up food, but can order beer and food inside. We ordered a couple birria tacos and a mulitas, they were so good and I wish they were bigger. For beer we had a watermelon sour and a pilsner. Very spacious and clean inside, it was easy for us to get a table. I will be back.

Yelp
AMAZING place and food. They were so nice and quick getting our orders. Very relaxed atmosphere and had a great outdoor and indoor seating set up!
