CRAFTALE

"The names of producers the chef deals with are listed on the menu. He visits his suppliers, building bonds of trust with farmers and fishermen. The chef brings each dish fresh from kitchen to table and describes it with enthusiasm, building a bridge linking food, guests and restaurant. Prix fixe meals are modern in preparation while classic in concept. A unique touch is that different breads are paired with different dishes, pursuing unity of flavour between the two." - Michelin Inspector

Amazing French Japanese fusion cuisine here. Well priced high end Michelin star food. Had 3 appetizers, 2 mains, and 1 dessert, all including a few glasses of wine for around ¥10,000 per person Definitely recommend this place!!!

Very disappointed with the food since the place is rated Michelin one star. The presentation is very beautiful, however the sauce made by the chef is mediocre. There are many Japanese western fusion restaurants around here taste better. Service was good and free private room was offered for guests with kid.

A beautiful modern French restaurant at the river side of Nakameguro. I especially enjoyed the fact that the sauce of every dish was very unique, inspired by international cuisine. The presentation was very beautiful, the staff and chefs were very pleasant.

Absolutely the best cuisine with the very best ingredients at much more affordable cost. Better than Narisawa and other two start Michelin restaurants at a very modest setting. You can feel the love and passion of this young genius chef. Must try and highly recommend.

The food was excellent - among the better meals I've ever had. Call ahead and they can prepare a vegetarian option. Two reasons I'm giving this place four stars instead of 5: 1) the vibe is only okay. 2) I was sitting below the air conditioner and there was condensation on it, and water dripped onto the table.

This place definitely deserves its Michelin star! My fiancé and I went to celebrate our joint birthdays and it was fantastic. Everything was absolutely delicious and although the portion sizes were small (except for dessert!) I was incredibly full at the end of this 7 course meal. The wine pairing was very thoughtful and complimented the meal. I posted just a few pictures of our amazing meal. I would definitely return and fully recommend Craftale!

The English reservation website only "passes your booking request to the restaurant", and the restaurant only replies you daysss later that it is full and your reservation failed, but there is no such thing on the Japanese website. Basically, it prioritizes Japnanese customers, not recommended tourists to waste your time on this

Yelp
CRAFTALE makes you think of restaurants like "noma" and "elbulli", meaning that it's not an ordinary French restaurant but is highly experimental as to how they present each dish and how they use/cook their carefully selected ingredients. It's more like a form of art, rather than simply food. I understand some people love this type of concept, while others have no interest and some of them even get furious about how "not tasty" those dishes are despite their gorgeous/curious looks. If you are not a fan of French cuisine in the first place, I'd NOT recommend going to restaurants like this, but if you know the two restaurants mentioned earlier and you are sort of used to experiencing this type of course dishes, you may find this restaurant superb in terms of its quality for its price. They even offer lunch dishes on weekends, so if you might want to try lunch first and see if you'd like to try dinner too, though lunch menu seemingly is geared a lot more toward offering simply tasty dishes.
