After a long walk on the Upper West Side, I came across this spot. It was very nice, with a great selection of beers to help beat the heat. I really enjoyed it and will be coming back to get one of those big cans to go. The bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. The arcade machine was a total plus. I love those things. And the art in the bathroom was also very interesting.

I recently visited Craft + Carry on the Upper West Side in New York City with my wife. It was a lovely Tuesday early evening. I am in a mechanical wheelchair & it was accessible. We would prefer the outside but no seats available. There was room in the bar. I stay in my chair, my wife on a stool. The staff was very helpful & accommodating. They made sure that we had enough space to move around in my wheelchair & that we could easily access the bar. The staff was helpful & friendly, & they made sure that we were comfortable. We had a great time enjoying the craft beers & the atmosphere. The atmosphere was relaxed. It was a great place to relax and enjoy a few beers. * The beer selection was excellent. We tried a few different beers and they were all delicious. Overall, I had a positive experience at Craft + Carry. I would definitely recommend it to others, especially those who are looking for a wheelchair-accessible craft beer bar with friendly and helpful staff. Now, I am pretty sure later in the evening and in weekends it gets crowded. In that case, it will be difficult to move around.

This is now the second location I visit with craft+carry. Located on the upper west side means up pay the price but when your into craft beer you should expect that. They have a GREAT selection of beers as well as ciders and even a draft section that I didn’t get to snap a photo of but did get the menu of drafts. I will definitely be coming back to this location!

Google
14 oz cheater pints aside, this is generally a clean and well-run beer bar. Always interesting options on tap (and in the fridge). Never too loud. Solid place to start an evening.

Hailey and Tyler are great! been a good addition to the hood...the owners just need to stop pumping their own music into the place..only reason why i gave 4-stars

Google
Craft+Carry is a cool craft beer bar located throughout the City. However, the one I went to is on the Upper West Side, which has knowledgeable, kind, and thoughtful bartenders. Craft+Carry’s UWS tap selection is also decent. They have a good variety of different styles of beers. The venue’s ambiance is better than average for a craft beer bar. The only complaint I have is, each beer can they sell in their bottle shop to go, costs as much as each tap beer you buy while sitting in the joint. My advice is, don’t waste your money buying beer cans to go. The prices are exorbitant!! Do yourself a favor and go to Broadway Dive (Broadway and 101 St). They have an awesome selection and the beers to go are priced much more reasonable. Further, find yourself a good grocery store that sells high end craft beer and go there. You’ll save yourself a TON of money!!

Google
Very clean and well Laid out upper west side bar. Their hook is a wide selection of microbrewery beers and they don't disappoint. The selection was actually so big. It couldn't decide which beer I would want. Luckily the bartender saw my indecisiveness and came over to help me make a selection. He was extremely knowledgeable about the different types of microbrewers. Also very clean bathrooms. Oh, and the tables had this really cool ring and hook game. Which took a second to figure out, but once I did it was very addictive.

Yelp
No better place to spend a Sunday! The bartenders are so kind and always willing to give you a taste of whatever is on tap. Nice two tops and booths to bring a date or the whole family! I've seen plenty of babies in strollers here - the vibe is pretty easy going. No food is served, but you're welcome to bring any take out or food of your own to eat there. I've definitely ordered a pizza before right to the restaurant. They usually have sports or movies playing on the TVs - they're pretty cool at switching the channel to whatever you want on a slow day. They also have some games behind the bar - Uno, cards, etc. Great casual date or place to catch up with friends.

Yelp
What a great local spot. We really just wanted a casual drink on a Friday afternoon and this is one local spot I've wanted to try. Although I typically like a good German import which can be hard to find, they have a great local beer selection. I asked for help because a creature of habit is out of her element. The attendant offered us some great selections based on our flavor preferences. They were both very delicious and hit the spot. I was closing out a very long week and was very happy this casual local spot was very welcoming and relaxing, great way to start the weekend.

Yelp
Most of the beer here is fairly local (within an hour or 2 away) which I appreciate, and there was decent variety in the selections. We ended up going with a flight in order to try multiple. My favorite beer (and honestly, probably ever... its THAT good) was the Morir Sonando. It's a fruited sour that tasted like gushers. Relaxed vibe inside, though seating is fairly minimal. I believe there's an outside area, but it was way too cold to sit out there so can't really comment on it. Service was really friendly and others had brought food in since they don't serve any. Beer is a bit on the pricey side, though I expected that given the quality/caliber.

Yelp
This is a delightful place for good beer. I stopped by one afternoon to check it out and the bartender was so nice, I knew this would be a good place for my beer club to meet. So on a frigid Monday night, 35 of my closest friends and I descended upon Craft & Carry and did our best to drink all their beer! The space is nice and allows for a good flow of people. The beer list had something for everyone and I was able to sample multiple types. Staff was on top of everything and even though the bar was packed, I didn't see anyone waiting for a beer. It was a great time. The beer ain't cheap...$10 for a 14 oz pour of a pilsner is standard but it's worth paying an extra buck or two for a beer to drink in such a nice space.

Yelp
This is an interesting spot that stands out in the neighborhood- it feels like a little slice of Brooklyn. A lot of bar seating options and some outdoor space as well. Plenty of beer on tap and a knowledgeable, welcoming bar tender. It is on the expensive side, but also it's Manhattan so what do you really expect? They did advertise a happy hour but I believe it's earlier in the day (maybe 11-3?)

Yelp
One of my favorite spots on the Upper West Side. Laid back vibe and great selection of beers. Everyone that works here is super friendly and the service is always on point. They don't serve food (other than some snacks), but they do allow you to bring your own food which is awesome. Will be back!

Yelp
Great craft beer joint that has a good selection and outdoor space in the front. Ordered the flight which allows you to choose 4 different beers on tap of your choosing. Just note that any canned beer there shows you the price to carry out, but if you decide to drink it there in a class, they charge extra. This place does not serve food other than snacks, but you can always bring your own grub!

Yelp
Great setup -- I like Hoptimist down the street, but it gets way too crowded too fast, whereas these folks have laid out their larger space beautifully. On my first few visits, the service was also great. Friendly barkeeps offering tastes and coming over to the cooler to offer help on what I was looking for. I also appreciate that they don't serve food but offer a decent range of prepackaged snacks and let you bring your own food in. Because of all that, my most recent visit was a surprising bummer. It was a slow weekend afternoon, we were a low-maintenance two-top, but when my partner tried the one blonde on tap and found it undrinkable, the barkeep gave me and the full glass a look and said "you'll have to pay for that." I'd already noticed that their draft selection tends to be quite limited -- generally just a couple IPAs (that's my thing, and even then I don't love that it's like one regular IPA and one pricey 10-oz DIPA) and also just one or two flavors of everything else. Guys, if you're not invested in being a tap bar, why even have a big counter that's hostile to sampling? This wasn't even a can that we had picked out of the cooler and made them open. It was a draft. If you need the income from kitchen service, ok, I'll pay for that; if you need to push flights more to avoid sampling, I'm ok with that too. But currently there seems to be anxiety about the business model that doesn't match the marketing and affects customer service; I'd suggest revisiting it.

Yelp
Friendly service. Easy to navigate. Wide selection carefully curated orifucts. A refrigerated take home section seals the deal.

Yelp
if you take a beer from the fridge and drink it inside it's twice the price than if you take the beer from the fridge and drink it at your house. the ambiance is so bad and the bartenders are so rude that i goes they make it more appealing to save the money and drink it at home. i don't know how they stay in business selling gross potato chips from bartenders who seem annoyed when you want to order.

Yelp
Having been coming here for a couple years since Sami, Declan, and others worked here, I have to say the service I got from Clare and Tyler went above and beyond anything I've received in the past!

Yelp
A much needed beer only bar that offers about 16 unique craft beers on tap that are rotating along with several large coolers in the back that contain various unique "tall boy" 16oz. beers you may purchase to consume there or carry home. I tried a lager and farm saison ale on tap, then bought a blueberry cake ale, blueberry sour, and a DIPA to take home. It is a very cute and unique beer bar that is a refreshing change to overcrowded and loud pubs nearby. They do not offer a food menu though, but do sell various chips, cookies, nuts, and snack items at the front register if your munchies kick in.

Yelp
I met up with a friend and ran across this spot. The ambiance is chill and the service was great. Im so excited to have found this spot to bring my beer loving friends to try out :)

Yelp
Great addition to the UWS. Large, but not overwhelmingly so selection of beers. Ample seating both inside and outside. Honestly it was the umbrellas that attracted me initially. The only con is that I wish they would serve classic bar food like the large pretzels or other snacks. Otherwise, very decent spot and friendly staff. Will be back!

Yelp
Often stop here for a quick to go beer since it's near my apartment. While I usually find the service and vibe nice and friendly, todays experience was not pleasant. The establishment was quite empty so I thought it wouldn't be a major issue to sit outside with my to go beer since I am a pretty loyal customer and seating was ample. I was then awkwardly approached by a male staff member and rudely asked to pay for drinking the beer at the establishment. Seems like a slap in the face and felt like I was being written a citation. NOT GOOD VIBE!!!!!

Yelp
Feel like home, specially with dogs people are so nice and welcoming i do recommend to try beers

Yelp
Great draft options and a chill atmosphere! Easy service, but keep in mind they don't really serve food. We brought a pizza and took our beers outside to eat.

Yelp
This place had delish beers, great bartenders and a few tables outside! Highly recommend stopping in for a quick afternoon beer or to grab something to take home for later.

Yelp
Stopped by randomly because I had two hours to kill on a Wed afternoon. Lot of people sitting around doing work drinking craft beer. Was super open so ventilation, important these days, was top notch. Bartender was very friend and recommended a nice Amber Ale. I nursed my beer and did work for two hours. All in all the place just felt very welcoming. My wife doesn't like beer but they have root beer on tap. Very chill, solid beer, no frills. Will definitely return

Yelp
3.5 It's so refreshing to see a legit craft beer spot back again on the Upper West Side (RIP, Beer Shop). Sure, there are a bunch of other bars around here, but their craft selection is the stuff you'd find at most convenience stores. Craft + Carry, on the other hand, has some decent pickups from breweries from the NYC area, plus some harder-to-find cans and bottles from further out. There's a good mix of different types of beers available on tap or for purchase, though not quite as large a selection as some of our other favorites, like City Swiggers (UES) or City Beer (Murray Hill). If you don't feel like going out of the way to those locations, though, this is a solid local option to have. If they cycle their inventory often enough, we'll definitely be checking them out on a regular basis. The pricing could definitely be better. Most of the cans start around $7-8, which is generally on par with other NYC bottle shops. Sometimes, though, it was quite off the mark; for instance, we found a Grimm's sour for $20 here that was $9 at the UWS Trader Joe's, and a few of the KCBC cans that are $8 here can be found nearby at Whole Foods for $5. In short, you could probably do better if you cared to on recent releases from local breweries, but otherwise the prices are fair-ish for the rarity / convenience! To round it out: cool space, really friendly service. Will be back!

Yelp
Awesome beer selection and great service. The fridges are neatly organized by beer type and lots to choose from. Tables are set up to social distance as well.

Yelp
My wife & I are huge fans of Craft+Carry! This is our go to bar, and we love everything about it. The sour beers are excellent, and we love the variety of options each week. Great outdoor seating area, and our favorite bar on the UWS

Sharvil S.

Yelp
Really nice place for fantastic draft beer Excellent selection Nice outdoor seating

Jake A.

Yelp
Tourist trap for sure. Prices are insaneY dumb. Just look at the growler prices. Not for locals to support. Hope they go out of business. What a joke. Go to Clinton gourmet or pioneer for craft beer cans. This place is a mark up mockery

Mia P.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I are locals on the upper west side and stumbled upon this place tonight. We absolutely loved it! Great service, great ambiance, great beer. We got the flight and the price was also great. You should check it out! They also have a great deal on take home cans. We'll definitely be back!

Ethan J.

Yelp
Great selection of craft beers. Very friendly bartender. Reasonable prices. They have beers on tap, plus a much greater selection in the fridge. They also sell some snacks (jerky, nuts, chips, etc.) 5 stars

Janice B.

Yelp
hey guys - so i've been coming to this spot since they opened sometime last year. i just passed by for the super bowl game & expected to have a good time. the quality of the beers were obviously great, but this specific bartender was not. the bartender was pretty rude with very short responses, and consistently rolled her eyes. i personally used to love coming this local spot because of declan & dopico (best bartenders around), but today left a bitter taste. we ended up leaving and go elsewhere
