Yelp
This place is a gigantic upgrade from their old locale in Dayton. It looks upscale, feels upscale, and the beer selection is just as big as the building. There is charcuterie, ready to order, if you get hungry, and there's so many seating options that it can almost be overwhelming.
I wish it wasn't so "out of the way" in Troy, but if you're already in Troy, don't forget about Moeller's Brew Barn to make a day of it. I wish I could live here.
(This place is dispersed among 3 different floors. I did not see an elevator, but they may have a service one available somewhere.)
PROS:
-THREE separate "bars", all functional on a random dead time on Friday. This keeps lines way down, and it lets you pick exactly what you'd like to drink or eat. You order your charcuterie at one bar, beers at another bar, and cocktails/whiskeys/bourbons at the third bar.
-All of their bars use the same tabs, so you can give your credit card at one spot and never have to worry about pulling it out again.
-Service was absolutely fantastic. Everyone was really helpful - even as it was starting to pick up in customers.
-It's gorgeous. It's absolutely gorgeous. While Crafted and Cured always tried for an upscale vibe at their old locale, the building here simply has it built in - and Crafted and Cured simply added the finishing touches. The open room, the gigantic vaulted ceilings, and the large, beautiful glass let in so much natural light. Crafted and Cured added beautiful glass taps, a waterfall mirror, and beautiful bottle and food presentation to really take it to the next level.
-They have a gigantic selection of beer. Really, they have SO MUCH beer. They have a list using Untappd on their website if you wnat to have a good idea of what you want before you stand there at the bar like an idiot (like I did).
-They have some unique-sounding cocktails. Their cocktails are very heavily based in bourbons and whiskeys, so be aware.
-The charcuterie treats were delicious as well. I wish they had a few more "plain" options for boring tastes like mine, but they DO have a dessert-focused charcuterie board which was awesome. And when I wanted a treat but not an entire board, they were able to sell their macarons individually for me as a great addition to our experience.
-Lots of seating options. Couch? Awesome. Too informal? They also have tables and chairs for both large parties and smaller ones. If you want more privacy or a quieter space, the downstairs was abandoned, and it had huge tables that would be awesome for board gaming.
CONS:
-The ground floor has two individual, one-stall restrooms, gender marked. The upper floor doesn't have any restrooms. The basement/bottom floor has multi-stall, gender marked restrooms. This means you may end up taking a flight of stairs (or two) depending on busyness in order to pee. (If this is a concern, top floor bar is cocktails, ground floor bar includes beer bar and charcuterie bar, and there is no service in the basement, just seating.)
-It's a BIG building. This place felt a bit chilly in the winter. The upper floors were warmest, and the basement definitely required a hoodie. Bring layers if you plan on staying awhile and get chilly easily.
