Beautiful, short (~1 mile) hike up to the top of Craggy Pinnacle - through huge, old rhododendron bushes with a sparkling stone and mica floor. The view at the top is
a wonderful 360°. There is also a small side trail that splits to the right that leads to another lookout that is a little more secluded. The rhododendron were finishing their blooming while we were there; the flowers were beautiful. This hike is pretty high traffic (we went on a Saturday afternoon) and busy at certain times, but well worth the hike, just understand that you will likely have many other people around.
Additional: There are porta potties available in the parking lot. The parking lot is pretty big, but can fill up depending on the day and time.
Though this trail is short it is a light climb and it might be challenging for little children under 5, or anyone with limited mobility.
