I saw that there would be community volleyball this season so I came to check the reviews. It's super reassuring to know other participants sensed the racial tension as well. Every time I played volleyball here, I'd leave feeling uncomfortable and excluded. I was even removed from a beginner level game by Tim Royer before I got a chance to play with him, simply because someone else "told him" I wasn't at the required level, even though I hadn't met Tim at all. I considered coming back here because I internalized the racism and thought I was the problem. I'm glad that other person commented and confirmed it. Like I said in another review that got deleted, if you are not a part of their community, you need to bring a friend. They make it indisputably clear that certain people are not welcome here. The looks, the bumping/pushing into you and not acknowledging your presense/body, the subtle disrespect and lack of consideration. It all adds up, and they know it.
