Why Atlanta Restaurants Don’t Serve Georgia Wine | Eater Atlanta

"Peter Seifarth, a second-generation winemaker from Young Harris, describes his estate wines as a way to showcase Georgia’s unique terroir and says many local producers are discouraged by the effort required to get bottles into Atlanta restaurants. His winery has won awards at the Georgia Trustees competition, and its white blend was offered by the glass at a Savannah restaurant for about $20 and sold out quickly, while its chambourcin has been listed at a much higher price point—an example of both local demand and the pricing challenges small producers face when competing with established imported wines." - Henna Bakshi

We stopped in for the first time today. Let me tell you, the grounds and views are spectacular! My wife loves wine, me, not so much. We tried a flight and had 4 glasses. My wife liked pretty much all of them. They were okay to me, but again, I'm not a wine drinker. They have some small food choices and snacks as well. We'll be back to try more wines and enjoy the views, and some music.

Loved the farmhouse for wine tasting and coffee and charcuterie. Lovely service, friendly and welcoming staff and locals, beautiful location with outdoor seating overlooking the vineyard. Wines a bit hit and miss but wide varies and $16 for 4 tastes was reasonable! Plus we found one we loved! Ambiance is incredible! Live music (by the Appalachian Monk) was wonderful. BBQ food truck on Friday looked and smelled incredible (but we had reservations elsewhere.

We stopped by on a Friday afternoon and scored their half-price wine special from 4–6 (Bougie on a Budget dream 🙌). The views are absolutely stunning, and with live music, a food truck, and perfect weather, the whole setup was just amazing. The winery itself is gorgeous. Not everyone in our group was sold on all the wines, but I personally loved their rose — crisp, refreshing, and perfect for the evening. Definitely worth a visit for the atmosphere alone.

My mama was visiting from FL and this was how we spent one day celebrating her birthday. It was lovely! We arrived around 12:30 so we went to The Farmhouse and never left. Charming, cozy, relaxed, chill vibe that made for the most beautiful mother/daughter. Magical place!

Ambiance: Beautiful vineyard on a gorgeous property with blooming flowers, vines, & trees. The venue itself felt almost Tuscany-ish. Perfect spot for an afternoon wine tasting, celebration, birthday, romantic date, or enjoying the views. We loved the wines! The Hellbender & Red Headed Stepchild were a few favorites amongst our group. Their wines are on the sweeter side - which was refreshing and perfect for sipping. Bottles of wine and snacks available for purchase. We went with the wine tasting flight. Not too crowded on a Saturday early afternoon. Many patio tables and outdoor spots as well as some inside sitting areas. They had live music as well. Onsite parking. There is also a French Restaurant onsite. Super beautiful ambiance for enjoying the afternoon, as a wine lover I highly recommend!

Crane Creek Vineyards is a North Georgia gem! The views are stunning and the wine is amazing—especially the Hellbender Red and Mountain Harvest White. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. The patio overlooking the mountains is the perfect place to unwind. Loved the charcuterie board from The Farmhouse Market too. Can’t wait to come back for another glass and that unforgettable view!

Such an incredibly beautiful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of urban life in Atlanta. Great wine, atmosphere and delicacies.

Can’t say enough great things about this winery. Beautiful views, nice atmosphere, wonderful service, and great wine. I’m a NZ Sauvignon blanc or Sancerre drinker and love the seyval blanc. Also had some cake pops and chocolate bars this trip that were excellent.
