If i could give 0 stars, I would. This was by far the worst Crate and Barrel experience I have ever had and I don't think I'll ever step foot in a C&B after this.
My fiance and I made an appointment online for in-person help to create our wedding registry. Online, it said (screenshot attached to this review) we would have one-on-one help for 45 minutes to ask questions about products and get recommendations.
We showed up and went to the register to check in for our appointment, and the associate reacted as if she has never heard of someone making a registry appointment in her life. I should have known there it was only going down hill. She stepped away to talk to someone, came back, and told us to "stand there and someone will come find us".
Not feeling confident in that response, I saw someone, who appeared to be the manager, as multiple employees were going up to her, and went up to her to explain we were there for a registry appointment and was wondering if she could help us get started. She said she was working on getting someone for us but was incredibly rude and dismissive.
We proceeded to meander around the store for 20 minutes, with no one ever coming up to us or even looking at us. Finally, we decided to download their store app and try to figure it out ourselves (after all, how hard could it be?) Well unfortunately the app is awful and not one bit intuitive, so we had to get in line to ask for help with the app. 5 minutes in line, still no help or ackowledgement, and we split up so my fiance was in one line and I was in another.
Finally, we get to the front of the line and I explain I'm looking for help on the app to register (we had given up on the appointment at this point) and unsurprisingly this employee tells me he knows nothing about how to use the app, and he has to get someone else to help me. The person that finally showed me how to use the app was helpful, but that was too little too late.
After close to 30 minutes of frustration and being ignored, we ended up leaving the store and never registered for a single item. If these 45 minute 1-1 appointments aren't offered, they shouldn't be advertised online or even available to book. For what was supposed to be an exciting, joyous moment, turned into disappointment and frustration all thanks to the complete lack of service at this Crate and Barrel.
