Yes, some of the things they sell are painfully overpriced, but there are many things priced reasonably for what you're getting. Customer service at this location is second to none. I drive 50 min one way to buy in the store and see things in-person. The excellent customer service experience combined with quality products for my kitchen will keep me coming back.

I recently visited Crate and Barrel South Coast Plaza and purchased a cabinet and console. I'd like to compliment the excellent customer service provided by Charina, one of the interior designers at this location. She was professional, honest, efficient, and incredibly polite throughout the entire process. Charina took the time to understand my needs and provided thoughtful, tasteful design advice without ever being pushy. Her attention to detail and dedication made the entire experience smooth and stress-free — exactly what great customer service should be. Unfortunately, this excellent service highlighted just how poor my recent experience with Pottery Barn was. Their customer service was rude and dismissive, showing little to no care or attention to customer needs. The delivery service was especially frustrating — they outright lied about a scheduled delivery, never showed up, and failed to notify me when it was canceled. I ordered the bed in person at the store across from Crate and Barrel in South Coast Plaza. The employee confirmed the inventory at time of purchased so it was paid in full. While the delivery chaos was happening, I was told that the warehouse couldn't find the matching headboard so they canceled the delivery without informing the customer. I wasted an entire Saturday waiting for a delivery that was never even going to happen. Crate and Barrel, and especially Charina, reminded me of what true professionalism looks like. I’ll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend asking for Charina if you're looking for expert help with your home. Of course, I happily purchased the bed from Crate and Barrel.

So if you have never been here than you are not missing much. The stuff here feels very old fashioned and the prices are SUPER EXPENSIVE! I saw an office chair here for over a thousand dollars. They also have knife sets for around that same price...and the quality does not match the price. Literally the same quality things can be bpught elsewhere for a tenth of the price and probably better quality!

I recently purchased several pieces of furniture from Crate and Barrel and was disappointed when they arrived not up to par. Many items were damaged, which was frustrating and concerning, as it speaks to the store's quality control process. However, my experience was completely turned around by the exceptional service provided by Maria Espinosa. She went above and beyond to address the issues and make sure I was satisfied with the outcome. Her kindness and professionalism were truly impressive, and I would highly recommend working with her if you are looking for excellent customer service. While the initial issues with the furniture were frustrating, Maria's dedication to making things right was greatly appreciated. Thank you, Maria, for making a stressful situation into a positive one!

If you are using the customer pick up option, the instructions are to use the app once you arrive and customer service will bring your merchandise to your vehicle. Don’t do this. You need to call and let them know you’re waiting or you’ll be there forever. Even then expect to wait a while.

Although the store is currently under construction and smaller than usual, I've long valued Crate & Barrel's great quality for the price, so I made the trip. Today, I came without my child and was happy to take my time browsing, planning to buy something for my husband's company. My husband is a Trade Member, so as usual, I presented the barcode. This time, however, I was told I needed proof of employment with the company. I understand the policy, but I obviously can't carry my husband's ID. While I questioned the effectiveness--since such proof isn't required for online orders or pickups--I decided to just place the order online, since all I need there is the Trade number. I stood next to the counter, looking at my phone and starting to check out, when one associate came over. When I mentioned I would order online, the associate bluntly said, "This is for companies," and walked away before I could even respond. It made me feel as though I was trying to misuse the program. The same associate later returned and told me, "Even if you order online now, it won't be ready for pickup right away," in a curt tone, turning their head away as they left--almost as if to say, "There's no point in trying." I found this attitude unsettling. They showed no willingness to help resolve the situation. In total, I spoke with three associates, and all of them seemed rather indifferent. I was trying to find a solution on my own, but their demeanor made me feel like a bothersome customer--or worse, like I was abusing the program--which was very upsetting. Back when the store was larger, if there was ever a problem, the staff were proactive and kind, regardless of whether the issue could be resolved. I even remember an online order pickup where they actively helped me get my order ready in under 20 minutes. Today, however, the indifference and cynical attitude left me both surprised and disappointed. I shop here often, and earlier this year I even opened a Crate & Barrel credit card because I frequent the store so much. This was the first time I have ever received service this unfriendly. I truly hope that the warmth and courtesy I've always associated with Crate & Barrel can be felt again in future visits.

We've been to this store twice now. We're registry shopping for our wedding. Overall pretty happy with our shopping experience and would probably rate it a 4 or even a 5 if it weren't for one person. Both times we've been at the store we have been receiving help from an employee in the store and while they are helping us Linda has come up and interrupted them helping us to ask if they can go help another customer. She hasn't said "I'm sorry, excuse me" or "when you're done helping this couple could you please help the other person over in ..." Both times my fiancé and I could tell the employee helping us felt like they had to quickly wrap up helping us to move onto the next guest. I'm guessing Linda is a manager. I don't think she is I'll intentioned, but there's definitely a different approach. It came across as rude both times we've been there.

So patient with babies and registry picks. She even helped us to pick out Mother's Day gifts. I second the review that says that store manager Lauren Diuco has zero customer service skills and needs to learn a lesson in not talking down to customers. Thank God for more supportive help from Crate and Barrel corporate online or I would no longer be a Crate and Barrel customer. If you need any kind of assistance avoid this store like the plague.

This is our 2nd time ordering a large couch from Crate & Barrel, spending collectively over $7000 for both couches (Gather & Axis), and on each occasion was extremely disappointed with the delivery, scheduling processes and follow through coordination. With this second time round, we were promised that the couch would be delivered and would provide us improved customer service, however once again failed to keep and uphold their end of the bargain. We ordered our 2nd couch in September 2024, hoping for a delivery by Thanksgiving/Christmas, and upon delivering the couch it was damaged. Due to this, needed to reschedule and reorder, forcing us to wait another 3 months. (Very similar to the 1st order, yet they delivered the WRONG couch). Come late Jan/February, the couch was promised that it would be delivered in the early morning, as we had mentioned that this 2nd delivery was not our fault, however was not able to speak to any individual or establish contact and was scheduled for a delivery between 1PM - 3PM. We called to attempt to push the delivery out earlier, before 12PM noon, and with no success, was forced to reschedule for the following week, but promised that it would be noted and handled via a special request that our delivery would come in the morning. The next weekend comes around, and once again, 2 days prior to the delivery, we receive a phone call stating that our delivery for the weekend has been scheduled for 1:15PM - 3:15PM. (It's as if our original conversation never happened, and I am now on the phone for multiple hours, trying to reschedule once again). I finally adjust our schedule to try and receive the couch for the early afternoon for a 1:15PM time delivery, and upon that day, then get a call at 11:15AM that our couch is en route and will be delivered in 15 minutes, forcing us once again to either receive, and adjust our schedule or be rescheduled for the following weekend. There is minimal empathy and complete disregard of our time from a scheduling standpoint (as I am personally within the logistics/operations world). I have never received a formal apology or compensation for the numerous hours wasted each week. I have never been so frustrated and utterly appalled with the lack of support in ordering a couch on so many occasions and will definitely be filing a formal complaint. I understand that the quality of their couch and products is, however if you're ready to waste numerous hours, days or even weeks of sleep and hours upon the phone call, go ahead and order. When they call, if you do not pick up, it will just be a voicemail, no number no response. If you call, then you'll be waiting for automated messages until you go through multiple prompts or filters before you get the opportunity to speak to someone. Even if you do speak to someone, it will take you at least 10 minutes to provide your order number, name, details and any other verification details whilst re-explaining your entire story before you get to someone and get your story straight. C&B consistently over promises and under delivers, and their processes and communication upon the backend needs significant improvement. I cannot reiterate how frustrating and tiring this entire couch ordering process has been, whilst spending over $7000 on both large couches.

I've been a regular at Crate & Barrel for years now. Great customer service and great products. I've bought several items from them in the past four years - Breville Kettle, Hexclad stainless steel pans, utensils, etc. The staff is very knowledgable about their products. I am only docking a star for the issue with the coffee machine - I had ordered pick up for a coffee machine and drove 30 minutes back home to only find out they had given me the wrong color. I wish they had confirmed the color so I wouldn't have had to drive 30 minutes back to swap it.

SERVICE The staff was friendly, but their lack of attentiveness and follow-through was disappointing. Despite the many employees on the floor, no one approached us while we browsed sofas. When I asked about a sectional, I received incorrect information, and a question about bookcases was brushed off with "check online." Even after purchasing a sofa, I wanted to add a recommended ottoman, but the associate disappeared right after the sale. While it was the day after New Year's, and possibly busy, more proactive assistance would have made the experience better. SELECTION The showroom is large and spacious but didn't showcase a wide variety of products. While Crate & Barrel's designs are stylish and modern, the in-store selection felt limited and underwhelming. With West Elm and Pottery Barn located nearby, the lack of variety became even more noticeable. VALUE The furniture is high-quality and well-designed, but the shopping experience didn't reflect the premium prices. The merchandising was sparse and "unique" to say the least. If you're planning a visit, it might be best to go during quieter times or prepare to do your own research beforehand, rather than hope for guidance. PROTIP Ask for Randal Ramirez. He is an honest and thorough associate who will provide accurate information. He will treat you with respect despite being disheveled after a workout (my guess as to why everyone else brushed us off?) Plus, he's friendly and will laugh at your bad jokes :)

Furnishings and household items of all sorts. Stopped in looking for glassware and found just what I was looking for and more. The store has great staff and they provide excellent customer service. One of the items I wanted was the last in store, and had a bit of imperfection. The cashier assisted me to order another item without a fuss. The item arrived in just a few days and I received an email and text message that I could pick it up. When I got there I noticed some of the glassware I purchased had a lowered sale price. The manager had no problem accommodating a refunded credit of the difference towards the previous purchase. They have a great online presence as well, with fair and accurate reviews to assist customers to select the products. The goods are a little pricey but I have had great experiences with the services and products for Crate and Barrel and CB2.

AMAZING service from Jorge. He was patient, attentive and very accommodating to our needs. My partner and I went in looking for plates and he was very knowledgeable and kind. Although we had a smaller purchase he made up feel just as if it was a huge purchase. He not only made the sale with us but I will be a returning customer for sure ! He also introduced us to the trade program and was eager for us to learn more. That is what I call exceptional customer service. Give that wonderful man a raise!!!!

Located across the bridge in the smaller plaza section, this Crate & Barrel is pretty huge. There's so much to look at and everything was stocked full. I came here since I received a wedding gift of ceramic ramekins from a friend. The ramekins weren't packaged nicely and one was delivered to my house broken. Thankfully this location made it easy to bring it and I was able to swap it out for a new one. Sales person didn't seem like she was in a good mood - her vibe towards my husband and I seemed like she was annoyed from the start, but hey we all got the job done. Swapping out the broken item for a new one was quick and easy.

I came into Crate & Barrel just to browse. Crate & barrel had a really awesome selection of different items that I needed. The store is clean and kept in good condition. However, I do have a little issue with the service. I feel that I was almost followed around like a puppy dog being suggested different things to go along with the theme of my kitchen. The sales associate Denise although meaning well, was a little over suggestive with different items in the store. I feel like we didn't really have much space to discuss my needs with my husband because Denise was always around us asking if we needed to add to whatever we already had to purchase, it was a little overbearing.

The store is always very clean and I like that they are located closer to the parking lots and does not require much of a walk to reach the front entrances. The store is across from the main part of South Coast Plaza, which might extend your shopping trip, but for online order pick ups and quick browsing, this Crate and Barrel is perfect. The selection seems good, the dishware are relatively high quality, and the service from associates is always on point. Most recently, I was browsing for a cappuccino cup and could not find it on the main floor. However, an associate approached me to ask if I was looking for anything in particular, and was able to check their system and retrieve the item from the back inventory. Exceptional service and help, and the pricing is not too bad (about $7 for a cappuccino cup and saucer pairing). I've also made some online orders for pick up and have had no issues with this location. Really enjoy how well laid out the multiple floors of items look and I feel fancy when purchasing dinnerware or other home accessories from this type of store.

Like all Crate & Barrels this location is stacked full of all of the stuff you would expect from this retail giant. This location has two floors. Thus, the various departments are nicely separated and the store is easy to navigate. One of the best things about this location is that it is very open and airy. Whether you were visiting during the day, where natural light easily flows in, or at night, where you can look out onto the nighttime horizon, shopping at the store is always a great experience. The staff here is very helpful. They are happy to guide you towards whatever purchase you are seeking to make. They, of course, have all the answers to all the questions. Overall, if you're looking for what Crate & Barrel has to offer, this is one of the best locations in the SoCal area to go and purchase those items.

Had a great experience testing out different couch models. The store is very spacious and has a laid back atmosphere so we were able to shop at a comfortable pace. Celinda was helpful in answering all of our questions about promotions, different configurations and gave us detailed information on how to care for the fabric we were interested in. Many of their furniture pieces are beautifully designed and worth taking a look at in person in this store!

In store service pretty good. However, I got this sofa for about 8 months, the father started to come out. Feels like Macy's or ikea sofa is cheaper and last longer lol A few times when I sit on the sofa, I got poke by the feather. I mean the price is not comparable to its quality, that's what I feel like. I got a dinning table from C&B and the table has a pretty good quality and the price is reasonable too. Only one problem with the table, it's that if you drop liquid, even water, the surface will turn darker in color.(maybe it happens on most of the wooden table

I received a gift purchased from CRATE & BARREL given by my daughter and it was a KitchenAid 7-speed hand mixer. My daughter bought it online for her to pick up at the store. Thinking that Crate & Barrel is a reputable store, you would think that any item or items you buy from the store are great. Well in this case NO! She bought this weeks ago because it was on sale and of course when she picked up the item, it was already bagged and the employee handed the bag without even offering to check the item to make sure everything is okay. Well we assumed everything was okay because my daughter trusted the store. It was then when she was getting the stuff to put in a Christmas gift bag & noticed something doesn't seem right. Anyways when she gave me my Christmas present, I noticed the box was a bit ripped & my daughter said she just discovered it when she unpacked the bag from Crate & Barrel. I opened the box because I was excited since this mixer is what I need when baking simple pastries. And I noticed the mixer was not packed nicely and the cord attached to it was not even securely tied. One whisk wasn't also packed the right way. And the storage bag was even missing. So it looks like this was probably a return from a previous customer and the management of Crate & Barrel didn't even check the item before putting back on sale. I wanted to have it exchanged but my daughter doesn't have the receipt anymore. I DON'T RECOMMEND CRATE & BARREL!!! Better yet if you purchase something from this store make sure to check the item is in perfect condition. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU BUY YOUR STUFF AT POTTERY BARN WHICH HAS VERY HIGH STANDARDS AND EMPLOYEES ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL!!!!

4 stars for CB since it's a beautiful HUGE store at SCP! We are back for the second Saturday in a row and checking out outdoor patio furniture at Crate & Barrel. It is a 2 story store with an escalator so you can scope it all out. We were supposed to meet with one of the sales associates but he was busy so we figured it out ourselves. We came home and bought what we needed online instead of waiting for him.

You know that famous line from pretty woman, "You people work on commission, right?" Shop assistant: "Yeah." "Big mistake. Big. Huge. I have to go shopping now." Well dear rude sales associates at crate and barrel, you ended up missing out on over $10,000 on commission to West Elm! I wish I got this guy's name to share on here. The hiring manager at this location must be a miserable person because most of the sales associates out on the floor are rude, condescending and frankly incompetent about their products! There's associates just standing at the registers STARING at you but talking amongst themselves. They know you need help but don't do anything about it. One has to hunt down someone to ask a question about products and when you finally find a miserable person to "help" they're rude and lack any knowledge about their products. This has happened at this location numerous times whether it's on the second floor or the first floor kitchen appliances. Their stupid iPad they walk around with doesn't have any more information than the website we can use at home to purchase online. We go to the store to hear more about a product and to get an opportunity to see the product in person to get a better idea of the quality of the product. If they're too bitter and miserable to get that, then we're DONE shopping here!! Done! Dear store manager, Customers come here to furnish their home and the experience they have here stays with them. Make buying furniture a positive experience and I guarantee we will buy more than we need! Don't waste your time shopping here. Buy online or shop elsewhere! After my experience here yesterday, if I could give this store a zero score for cleanliness and customer service, I definitely would!

Placed an order for a bench on 1/12 and was told it would be available for a pick up 1 week later. Went to store the following week for a pick up but was told it was not available. Asked to wait another week. Then I call again today on 2/3 for a pick up at store. Once again I am told the bench had not been shipped and I was still at the warehouse. I called out the store rep on their inaccurate management, follow up, and poor customer service, and asked for them to at least deliver it to me on their behalf. Without showing any generosity, he said he cannot and will charge me for the shipping. This store is the worst crate and barrel store I have dealt with. I should've shopped at the other location or an other brand instead of South Coast location. Do not shop here. Their customer service is horrible, and their dates/promises are total fallacies.

We came to this location to create our wedding registry - Teri sat down with us, gave us a full tour of the store, and offered her personal recommendations for our registry! She made our experience so lovely and checked in on us throughout the process. They are currently in a temporary location as they are remodeling their store, but they still had so many options to look at! Would highly recommend making a registry here!

Curbside Pickup from this location takes forever. If It has to do with the change in store location then they should temporarily pause curbside pick up service since they are unable to execute this service in a timely fashion. We told them we were 30 minutes out and we still had to wait an hour to get our item.

I want to give a personal shout out to Margaret, Marta, and Peggy. Thank you again Margaret for the phone call and helping me out with my orders! Holiday season can be crazy and delayed orders are definitely understandable during this hectic time of the year. The staff helped me obtained my orders despite some miscommunication. It means a lot when you can count on the Crate and Barrel team to look out for their customers. Definitely appreciate their hard work and would shop with them again!

I was there yesterday making a small purchase. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Glad to have this store close by and with the wonderful staff. They are in a temporary space now as the original site gets remodeled. Talking to the staff I found out that the escalators are being removed and being replaced with stairs. I think this is a design error and will not make the store conducive for shopping both floors. As an architect for 25 years involved in large award winning work, the removal of the escalators and replacement with stairs is not a good move. It makes it difficult to move inside the store and the view coming down the escalator is lost. And lots of customers I think will find it less inviting, similar to Potter Barn next door. I guess William-Sonoma will get busier. Probably the furniture stores on Hyland and Sunflower will pick up new business since they are all on one floor. It's too bad the escalators will be gone.

I bought a item to give it to my wife as a presence to her birthday but it didn't arrived on time. I called their costumer service and said they are going to message/email me but I didn't get any. After we went on vacation we arrived monday afternoon I got a voicemail and said I need to pick up the item right away or else they are going to send me a check. Is that how you treat your costumer by sending a threat message, I'm so mad coz I'm so patiently waiting for that item and then I'm gonna have a kind of message like that.

Spent over $25k on new furniture from Crate and Barrel. Most of it was delivered at the end of July. By December the sofa that cost $5k already was making noise and sounded like something was broke. Called customer service they sent someone out. They said they couldn't fix it. I called customer service back they said they couldn't do anything the warranty was up. They offered a small discount. When I asked how long the warranty was in the sofa . They told me one to two months. Wow that doesn't make since. I will never shop here again. They don't stand behind the products they sell.

I love the styles of tableware the produce and feel it's of high quality and constructed to endure a lifetime of use. Their furniture is beautiful, but a priced beyond my means, while I still look for sales for the perfect price and look of their leather furniture. This location seems larger than the other Crate & Barrels I've visited, but seems to be more upscale and caters to the upper crust. I still go to other locations too, to find the best deal for quality merchandise. Don't forget to checkout their online sales as well, because there are many deals to be had, especially around Mother's Day.

Store manager Lauren Diuco has zero customer service skills! I'm not sure how long she has been in the business of retail but she needs a lesson in treating customer better and not speak down to them as if they are below her.

Diana at the Costa Mesa store is so fantastic. She's kind and extremely helpful without coming off as pushy. I didn't plan on purchasing anything when i walked into the store but i left purchasing items to create a beautiful table center piece all because of her help! She even grabbed some items in the store and put them together to show me how things could look on my table. Someone give this woman a raise because I've never had a better retail experience in my life. I will be coming back to this store just to continue working with her. Thank you Diana!! I will say i came back the next day to grab a few more items, Diana wasn't working this day and my experience in this store did a 180. I felt ignored when i stood at the register clearly ready to checkout. Two employees were standing behind the counter quietly whispering about something to each other just a few feet away from me. I patiently waited but it got to a point where i had to make direct eye contact with them because i was just l obviously there and ready to checkout. The men working seemed very standoffish. It was a completely different experience from the day before and it was shocking to be honest and uncomfortable. Hopefully it was just a one off experience.

This Crate and Barrel is two stories, clean, and usually well stocked. I love Crate and Barrel for their kitchen/dining/and house decor items. Today, I came in for their Olivewood spreaders at $3.95 each (see photos) and they are well made and the cheapest that I can find anywhere for Olivewood that feels and looks like quality! I've been super into wood utensils and dinnerware and love Crate and Barrels Tondo collection and own every piece in that collection. Again, it is the cheapest that I can find anywhere with the quality that I find where they are made in Thailand or the Phillipines :). Definitely come in and physically pick them out because with natural wood, it's always random in terms of pattern and whether there are cracks in the wood that you want to avoid. I am that crazy lady who touches EVERY single wood plate they have on the floor and ask for more from the back if I don't like it even though it's an item that is less than $10... and the sales representatives here are always accommodating to my crazy lady needs so I like shopping here a lot :).

I would not buy sofas from crate and barrel ( Costa Mesa) ...3 times I waited for sofas and all 3 times they were stained or damaged. They wasted 3 months of my time! Store manager would not give me any compensation for wasting my time and wasn't helpful at all. Disappointment!

Furnishing a brand new place can be hard!! That's correct new home owner!! I love hosting and wanted to make sure I had everything for my first house warming! Crate and barrel has everything from good quality couches ( have purchased couches from here before) to the cutest coasters ! I love a modern type of vibe with lots of succulents and was able to purchase items from crate and barrel that gave that vibe! All the stores had lines in front of it due to covid, however, crate and barrel didn't. Got some wine glasses, cheese boards and some other basic essentials ;) Everyone here is so sweet and I really enjoyed my time! Thank you so much!

I've never been to a Crate & Barrel location before, but did register for almost all my wedding items through them. Everything was shipped to our home, but unfortunately a couple items were delivered cracked or broken. This location is out of the way for me, but I was in the area for work and decided to see if I can do an exchange. I parked and walked in (this was around late November) and they were pretty busy. I'm horrible with names, but the guy helping me was very sweet and went out of his way to assist me. I showed him the broken pieces and he was able to swap them for me right there, no paperwork needed. He was also nice enough to offer to help me carry the items to my car, but I managed. I dropped my replacements in my car and came back to browse. Lots of cute Holiday items and their second floor is more larger furniture. I browsed around, but didn't see anything I really needed (plus everything was expensive) so I left. Given how crazy the Holidays can be, I was happy to see they had great customer service and went out of their way to help me and the others that were in line. Will def come here again next time I'm in the area.

Crate and barrel is a company that can't be trusted. I ordered a dining table in August that said delivery estimate late September. Notes on bottom say early October. As end of October approaches no table and I call in for an update I'm advised late November. I'm hoping before Thanksgiving... It's now December and they're saying late December. I hope that Thanksgiving and Christmas isn't important for you when you order for here... I'm livid especially because they can ship now to other zip codes I've tried on the east coast and Midwest. Nothing coming to me in a major city in California though! Maybe suck it up and ship it from New Jersey if you have to. Terrible company!

Probably okay quality & price if you want an off-white or grey sofa. Any one of the other 200+ colors they say are available, and you are looking at hundreds of dollars in extra charges and months of wait time for delivery. Meanwhile, they will try to get you to open a "Crate & Barrel" charge card, will stop returning your calls, and will lose interest in providing customer service. Don't go to Crate & Barrel.

Placed what I thought would be a quick-to-ship order in-store to support local business and to have a point of contact for order communication, but was so stunned to be met with such unprofessional, jaded and unhelpful associates throughout what ended up being a 3+ month long delay for a defective item that, despite being sofa-less and desperate for seating for a quarter of a year, I had no other choice but to return because of how terrible the product and experience was. I was on my own once the sale was closed and was told to work with the online team once issues started trickling in. This is in regards to an "in-stock" Oceanside sectional configuration and fabric option that I had fully paid for and was told I could expect in the coming few weeks. Come that time, I checked in to hear that it ended up getting backordered, without any communication prior. This would happen again and again for the next 3 months. Throughout that time, I was dumbfounded how not a single associate could provide an updated delivery date range I could look forward to, and how, to my surprise, associates also said they are not able to contact their vendors for status updates even given the escalated situation. Pretty much I was told all both they and I could do was to continue to wait with no end in sight. Now, backorders happen. I work in the industry. What really irked me though was the lack of information I was provided as a client who had fully paid for a major furniture item, not just a deposit as one would put down for a custom piece, with no date in sight as to when I would receive my large purchase. No helpful information to manage my expectations. And it really bothered me that this didn't seem to bother anyone working there. No one was monitoring the case, advocating for their paying client with valid concerns. When an update finally came through, an associate said 2 of the 3 sectional pieces were ready. I raised concern that the pieces were then probably being made from different dye-lots but was not met with any help that would have prevented my already delayed sectional from having further issues come delivery. Again, no advocating or proactive measures taken. Not to mention, none of the associates even had a clue as to how sectionals are made and how this would be a red flag on their end. Sure enough, the pieces came separately, back cushions sized differently and of different colors. Really fought hard to advocate for my situation as a client and ended up having to waste a lot of time making sure I got my purchase only to receive an unacceptable product that they were unwilling to make right for us. The manager on duty that I spoke with after receiving the last delivery seemed like she could care less about the whole transaction and waved us off to re-explain our situation and work with the online team. She made clear she was tired of dealing with what seems to be frequent messes made by Crate & Barrel, but at the end of the day, her job is in customer service and just the slightest bit of compassion towards neglected clients who were understanding, helpful and proactive throughout the process would have gone a long way in redeeming some respect for how her store and employing company does business. Crate & Barrel has some nice collections at what I consider relatively affordable prices. But even at the lower prices, between the product quality and customer service, I firmly do not believe any of their furniture prices are worth even that. So buyer beware. Crate & Barrel, please train your associates better- empower them with resources and information that can better help serve the people who keep you in business!

Amazing customer service. Hubby and I decided to upgrade our serving dishes and opt for more quality dishes. We decided to give C&B a try and we were not disappointed. We ordered our set online. Love that they have the option to choose a set or individual. We went for a set of 4, each dish was priced at about $9 each. We chose to pick-up our items at our local C&B upon checking out our online order. We got our e-mail confirmation to pick-up within less than a week. We pulled up to their designated curbside spot, filled out the check-in form provided in our e-mail, and a staff member immediately came out with our box. The staff member dropped off our box in our trunk and exchanged a thumbs up with us as he was coming back into the store. How great is that?! Super easy. We got in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. We also learned that you can curbside an hour before the store officially opens. That is A M A Z I N G. As for the serving dishes. Worth every darn penny. These dishes are durable and sturdy. They do not chip or leave scratch marks from silver cutlery. We couldn't ask for a better set of serving dishes! 10/10 would definitely order from C&B again!

Last week I went in for an interview for a job at the store that I'm abundantly qualified for. It seemed to go well, but I guess not. Regardless, she promised to call me back by Monday to let me know whether she wanted to hir me. The store manager who had interviewed me, Shea, is unprofessional. She never seems to be available when I need to speak with her, and she doesn't keep her word when promising to make a phone call or return one. She is condescending in a subtlely sarcastic way, which falsely indicated to me the interview had gone well. She evidently has no respect for my time. There is no way in this world she found fifty people more qualified than me, and she apparently doesn't have the courage to tell me what her decision was and why.

Purchased dinning chairs and a bed frame with the understanding that the items will arrive in September However the bed frame was delivered damaged which was taken back however Crate and Barrel is now stating we have to wait another month til November for a bed frame? It sounds like they do not actually stock any furniture in their warehouses and purchases from a vendor when you purchase your item. Called support to see what can be done perhaps expedite the shipment but they basically told me to kick rocks. Support told me that it's dependent on their vendor and nothing can be done how do these businesses not have anything they sell on the showroom floor in stock?

Came here for curb side pickup. No one picks up the phone, they are too busy. Had to knock on door to get attention & a worker was able to assist myself and others parked outside who could not get through the phone line. Finally got my 8 wine glasses at an affordable price during Memorial Day sale.
