If you love yourself do not buy furniture from here especially if it needs to be delivered and installed. You will put yourself through a month of h3ll at the minimum. Whatever you order will always be damaged no matter what you order, then they’ll deliver it again and it will still be damaged. If you have even an ounce of respect for your own sanity, stay away. This company is a wine company anyway, don’t buy furniture

I purchased a Breville Oracle (Espresso) Machine in May of 2025 from Crate and Barrel in Pasadena (Old Pasadena). No additional attachments and it makes cold brew. It is absolutely awesome! I love this machine! Marilyn helped me and she is an expert Barista! Marilyn is extremely knowledgeable regarding the various espresso machines and will share her likes and dislikes regarding the various espresso machines. I had originally visited Williams Sonoma in Pasadena and they were not interested in speaking with me for the first half hour. I finally got someone and I told them I had to go home and do some research on this. They were annoyed with me. Williams Sonoma was not helpful with all of the various brands of espresso machines. I have lived here for many years-6 generations. I will be going to Crate and Barrel from now on.

I just purchased a Cuisinart Supreme Grind automatic burr mill. After reading the directions I opened up the bean hopper and noticed that it smelled like stale coffee. The grind chamber also has substantial residue of stale ground coffee. I called Crate and Barrel and talked to an employee about my discovery. She said that Cuisinart sometimes tests the machine before packaging. This is not hygienic and should be disclosed to the consumer. I requested a clean replacement and she said that they are not available at the store purchased and would have to be ordered. Very unsatisfactory purchase and now a hassle to return.

I just got my sister and her husband the most amazing little house warming gift here! The have very different décor tastes… she is more rustic and he leans more to the contemporary side which can make shopping challenging, but not here! I found this amazing drink dispenser with a wood/ marble stand that I think they will both love!

I was shopping there last week and I asked to use the bathroom, someone downstairs told me it was located right up the stairs. The hallway was blocked by a metal rack. I asked the man upstairs and he told me the bathrooms were out of order and there was one across the street but did not know exactly where. I then told the woman that I first spoke with and she said “oh yeah after 2:00pm he sometimes closes the bathrooms so that all of Pasadena won’t come and use them”. I had to go to the bathroom so bad, so I sat my basket down and went across the street to try and find the bathroom. When I got over there I could not find it so I asked the sushi restaurant if they knew where it was. The person at the front told me “there was not one, but I could use theirs” thankfully. I then went back over to Crate & Barrel to finish my shopping however my basket was now gone and the stuff I wanted to buy was put away. I was so mad about this whole situation that I just gave up and went somewhere else. Also not only is that rack blocking the bathrooms, it is also blocking the emergency exit. These employees do not care about their customers or their safety.

Really great customer service. A tall guy (sorry I forgot your name) helped me yesterday with an exchange of a broken bowl I received for Christmas. Easy, quick, no questions. While he was getting me a new bowl I looked around and found some amazing scented items I had to have. The same person helped me find something in the back that was out of stock on the sales floor. I felt like I was asking for annoying things and he went out of his way to make sure that he found what I was looking for. I don't think I've ever shopped in this store before and will definitely be coming back.

My problem with Crate & Barrel in a nutshell - I think they make some well made, magnificent pieces; totally perfect for anyone who's a fan of mid-20th century décor. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of mid-20th century décor... Tip: For people who are fans of this type of merchandise, it's a great place to shop, but bear in mind that the prices are NOT for the faint of heart! On the plus side, the staffers here don't trail after you trying to hurry you, or playing up-selling games.

While the service in store was on point but the massive delay and unprofessional customer service from website left me no choice but to leave a review here to warm potential customer to be careful when placing order with CB. We custom ordered an Axis sofa back in Nov 2nd 2024, it is now Feb 21th 2025 we still haven't received our order. There is no update nor explanation from CB except when we reach out to them and informed us we will have to wait more time because the delay on production or shipment. Unprofessional customer service never give solution but reason why it's not their fault. We already paid $2000 deposits and $300 delivery fee can't believe still have to suffer. Please stay away from this brand, the reputation it built is no proven and won't be as what you think it will be. Pics to prove.

Very happy with the quality leather sofa, table and other home additions I purchased in March. The rest is arriving this week after waiting for them to be manufactured. The wait is worth it, the quality is evident, but I wanted to take time to thank Alyssa and Kimberly (manager) for taking time to deal with all my questions and last minute changes. They showed patience and professionalism every step of the way. Thanks again for world class service!

Walked in and got hit with enough devil stares to summon a horror movie sequel. Yes, I'm returning something--apparently, that's the retail equivalent of threatening their firstborn. The way they acted, you'd think my return was the final nail in the store's coffin. Customer service? More like "customer, suffer."

It saddens me that a few people had negative experiences here but for my wife and I, this is our go-to store for anything C&B related. Every time I've come here, we are always greeted with friendly smiles and amazing service. Carlos and Esther has been nothing but helpful and a huge pleasure to work with. We were looking for a couch and an accent chair and picked what we liked. Carlos mentioned that we get 15% off since we had just moved, which was a promotion. He offered us a quote and didn't pressure us to purchase right on the spot. We told him that we would be back. A week later, my wife and I decided to go with the furniture and make the purchase. We were greeted by Esther, who helped us through the entire process. She looked up the quote, applied the discount, and we were set. Thank you to you both! Honestly, it's professionals like them which make big purchases a smooth process. Will be going back for sure!

No service at all! Because of smoke damage from the Eaton Fire, I have to replace all of my upholstered furniture, sofas, chairs,ottomans, and beds. I came into the store today primarily looking for sofas and chairs. I didn't think too much about not being greeted when I entered the store, but did notice the person behind me was greeted. I headed upstairs to the furniture department. Two employees were at their desks, but neither offered to help me despite the fact I was clearly looking for furniture. There were no other customers at the time. I refuse to beg for attention from "sales" employees, so I left. I will not be back.

We bought a couch here and were told it would be delivered in 30 days. When it finally gets here 9 days from now, it will have been 3 months we waited. They sent us a loaner so we wouldn't cancel our order and this morning they charged me the full price of the loaner ($1,800) and said they'd refund me when they received the loaner back. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere.

I posted the following review to the Crate and Barrel website 11 days ago. They immediately posted a response saying they would reach out directly to resolve the issue. After a week of crickets, I emailed them, no reply. The C&B site does not allow me to post a follow up so people reading will think 'Crate and Barrel surly resolved this' but that is not the case. 'If you don't read the item description carefully you'll think you are buying a solid iron/steel bed. The design is clean and beautiful but, unfortunately, this bed is quite fragile. They use the words updated, modernized and lighter but fragile is equally applicable. The legs that support the middle of the bed will snap off if you move the bed even a few inches without removing the mattress (see picture). Its pretty just wish it was more substantial.'

I love Crate and Barrel's products. If you purchase furniture from C and B and/or use wedding registry, I hope you have a great deal of time and patience. You will need much of both. I used some gift exchanges and certificates from registry to purchase a the Ivan dining table. The money was taken from the cards but the order was not placed. I went in person. Manager could not figure it out. I called. I called. I called. I have waited patiently. It's been a tough go all around. Still not resolved. It's a situation where I've had to accept. I literally took a day off work to try to resolve. I can't tell you how many hours I've spent on the phone with customer service. (FYI: There is only one review for the Ivan Dining Table. That is my review and I still don't have the table. I ordered it in August, but it was recorded only as a quote. We finally got the order in, the customer service agent and I, and it is expected in January.)

Found an 8x10 rug in the clearance section for $600 off! I asked the sales associate, Esther, if it had been used and why it was so cheap? She said they do not take back used items so it was probably returned and the store didn't have room for it so they marked it down to get rid of it. Sounded good to me. Thought we got a great deal, but once we got it home and unwrapped it we saw why is was such a low price! This rug was 100% used and disgusting. Currently in communication with customer service and I am told they will send a replacement or refund the money, but this review is simply regarding the fact we were told it was UNUSED. And if she didn't know or wasn't sure then she should have asked another associate. WHY WAS THIS ITEM EVEN BACK ON THE SHELF?! I felt like I was tricked and they were just satisfied to make some money off a destroyed item. Did they even inspect it when someone else returned it??? The tag also says inspection is required before purchase, we were not offered an inspection and I simply didn't asked because we were told it was not used!

**INVENTORY PEST ISSUE** MAJOR ISSUE - Love the OCEANSIDE SOFA - however am having a major issue with it coming with SMALL SPIDERS (Gross). Customer Support has been extremely standoff-ish and blaming US for the issue(unacceptable). Im simply trying to either get a replacement delivered without the pest issue, or a credit or refund so i can get a new sofa. Happy to have this one picked up by CB. Again we love the sofa, however the issue we are having is INEXCUSABLE and poblematic. Hoping for support and to get solution for us. We are killing 2 to 4 of these per day ever since thos sofa was delivered!!!

The service was fantastic!!!! Elizabeth and Marilyn made a great team. Each went out of their way to help me and made sure I found everything I needed. They were personable and fun yet very professional and knowledgeable. I had such a pleasant shopping experience that I didn't want to leave the store. The products are beautiful of great quality and reasonably priced. If you visit this store make sure to ask for Elizabeth and Marilyn. They will definitely take care of you.

I hope the Pasadena Crate and Barrel closed. I have gone here multiple times and each time all the workers have been extremely unprofessional, rude, and aggressive. Lots of long waits, not knowing the answers to any questions and having to wait to find out and horrible attitude. We once spoke to the manager of this location to make an exception since we were ordering a huge amount of items she said she couldn't and told us not to bother trying to call crate and barrels customer service for this arrangement since their online customer service is "horrible." First of all, what kind of manager brings their own company down, second which is VERY interesting to note.. their online customer service was able to go above and beyond and accommodate every single thing we had asked for while the rude manager at Pasadena rejected and brought down their own company. Even the cashiers lack lots of knowledge and are quick to be snarky and aggressive in their tone and then verbally blame you and say that the customers tone is bad. For being a "high end" store this store is terrible quality furniture, worse than target and cannot ever even compete with the customer service of the amazing employees at RH across the street. So instead of spending 20k at Crate and Barrel, we instead gave all of our support and bought everything from Restoration Hardware. This place needs a big wake up call from the cashiers down to their management at Pasadena. Clearly they don't know how to run a store and wouldn't be surprised if they close since their numbers seem low. Terrible Terrible Store!

July 2020..... I had a big empty wall on my living room for years finally I decided to something about it. I love C & B and my favorite location to go is the one at The Grove but it was closed due to current events that we all know. I did my research online and I found this paint I like "Semblance of order"so I called to the store to find out which one had ok on display and I was told that the only store that had it was the one in Pasadena. I drove all the way to Pasadena, as soon as I entered to the store one of the saleswoman looked at me and totally ignored me. I didn't expect to get close to me due to Covid-19 but at least I was expecting to be greeted. I found the paint and I liked it and spent about 5 minutes starting at it and nobody asked me a question. I left the store , went home and purchased online. I love it. It's a great print but the customer service at this store completely sucks. They need to be trained how to smile and greet customer. They are completely unfriendly and rude so different from the one at Grove where I was always treated so nicely. I will never come back to this location.

Both arrived damaged, massive delays in delivery and no communication from the customer service team. Always passed to a new rep, no consistentcy and general apathy for towards the failings of their logistics.

I love Crete and Barrel but unfortunately there is no store near me so I ended up doing most my shopping online. But for large furniture I still prefer to see/feel it in person as there is a restock fee (I believe 25%?) if you do end up returning (unless you keep all the packaging and take it back to store yourself). I didn't end up ordering here in the store because the item was back ordered but I wanted to comment on how friendly all the staff here are and quality of the service I received is top notch. I called the store to schedule the delivery for my online order and they were able to help me very quickly and get a time slot less than one week away.

Yesterday I went into this location to return some side tables purchased online, but I didn't package the items properly. Despite my mistake, the team at this location jumped through so many hoops to complete the return anyway, and they were so kind and helpful the entire time. Strong recommend, go get ya Crate and Barrel on at this location and you won't regret it ;)

Crate & Barrel moved across the street on the same block as their previous location. What's interesting about the new store is that it's a concept store and at the moment, the only Crate & Barrel Design Studio in the country. That's right, the first. It's a smaller space, so they've created a boutique feel with less than the usual C&B but more custom options, made to order furniture, complimentary design services, and items that other C&B locations do not have. It feels more upscale, like a Design Within Reach but with more natural materials and a lower price point. Paying $500 for a bone inlay nightstand seems reasonable since I assume it's a bit better in quality. The furniture has simple lines and a classic, timeless feel. The walnut end table ($600) looked like a smaller version of our dining table. Cute. The interior is light, spacious and pleasing to the eye. The emphasis is on furniture (sofas, tables, headboards, outdoor furniture, dressers) and home furnishings (pillows, throws, lighting, trays, art, curtains, mirrors, faux plants). There is no cookware, kitchen appliances, or kitchen gadgets.

My visit to this store today was an absolute disaster. The employees were unhelpful and very dry with their service. I wanted to exchange my items and they could not accommodate me and could not explain why. I asked to speak to a manger and the team member who claimed to be the manager was just standing there the entire time. I was beyond disappointed with the service, especially having 12 years of customer service experience myself. That is definitely not how I provide outstanding customer service.

Their delivery service is absolutely horrible. We waited over 6 months for a special order. Then their delivery vendor comes, doesn't call saying he's at the gate, and drives off after sending a text that he's leaving. Watch out for their Euromarket DB delivery vendor. Then the driver had the nerve to ignore our call and blocked us!

All the staff were conversing amongst themselves and never acknowledged any of their customers. It was weird it was like they didn't want talk to any of their customers. Terrible experience ordering a $3K sofa and ottoman here. First, they took us to 5 different computers and kept us waiting for an hour to place the order. Then the woman called the next day to tell us she undercharged us and I needed to pay more. While stuck in the store for an hour, I'd asked for a designer to recommend rugs, a lamp, and side table and nobody followed up with me at all. Here we are 3 months later and I called for an update on my order. They said the sofa is ready for delivery but nobody ever bothered to call to tell us. No apologies, no offer to help. When I asked for a manager and asked about the design consultant that never reached out, the Manager said that she would make a note. What??? It's like they don't want our business!! I told her 3 times I would like someone to email me about those three items I asked for and she just kept asking me if I'd like to come back in when I got back to town. I finally lost my patience and said, "You're not listening. I'm done wasting my time " and the manager actually said, " We don't need to continue a business relationship." I guess buying a $3K sofa doesn't make you a valued customer. I'll buy my accessories at West Elm.

I usually go to the one in Beverly Hills but they were closed. So, I ended up driving all the way to this location for some things I needed for my kitchen. Every single employee greeted me, but after that, it was as if I was invisible. I had a bunch of bowls and plates in my hand, but no one, and I mean NO ONE offered to help or ring me up. Two older male employees walked passed me, seeing that I had these items in my hands, and completely ignored me. I even waited at the check out counter when one of them answered the phone, but they walked away after they hung up without saying anything. Are you kidding me? I was so frustrated and annoyed that I ended up putting everything back and walking out of the store empty handed (no one said bye, not even the woman at the front desk). Needless to say, I'll never come to this location again and I'll be ordering my products online or drive to Beverly Hills where they have better customer service.

I would like to give this store 0 star if I can.This store whole team are snob like another comment,every time you walk in the associate will look at you ,if you not dressing very rich if they think,they never will come to help you,cause they think you won't by anything stuff.Also on last week me and my brother been both treat unfairly also their manager are racism.On Last Thursday I am going with my brother I am think to buy new bed sheet set,nobody are help me.Because I don't like dressing fancy.Then I try to ask my brother opinion,I don't see him at store.I been call him,him been told me he been kick out by the store employee.Because they are close!But I am seeing still few people in the store,also there are still 10mins away to close time.I feel sad to my brother been kick out,even for the close time you can't just kick out or instead use kindly reminder.Still less here very clearly they just direct only my brother not other customer.Then just left.Then next day,I just try to shop online to get sheet,then jump out 10% off promo,then I follow the online step to type in my text and email.Then I never received the code.I am going to store try to ask if someone can help me to see why I don't receive.Then the employee he try to ask his manager to come here help,the manager he was so so so impatient,he just saying he don't know.Then he left to downstairs to instead look up his phone and talking to his colle.Then the employee he try to help me find another manager say she probably can help me.Then the side manager Kimberly came,she was more impatient compared then manager.She just look at me say why you can't receive code,it's because you used it already.Excuse me I am not have one code then shows on the system already used.The thing it's I never get any code.I am tell she to give me an apologize right away!Also she can't say this without any evidence,it will be frame up.But Kimberly just say:I don't know you!How can I know if you use or not.Don't waste my time,I need go to my lunch break right now!I been shock how see language abuse also insult me!Also these ridiculous conversation happen on me.Then I call the customer service,they said the supervisor gonna contact me end of last week.But they never did.Then I call the customer team this week then speak one supervisor directly by long long time.She said gonna passed these to corporate office,and give me a answer by today.But the supervisor just email me,looks like the supervisor pass the thing,but the corporate office never care.SO I won't choose these brand again,these was how they treat customers!

Big disappointment! They recently moved across the street to a smaller space and now really just cater to selling larger pieces and projects to clients with bigger budgets. It's no longer that fun place where you could walk in to browse the kitchen gadgets, frames, or smaller cute things. I guess that goes to show the economy but all in all gave me no reason to even browse. With the new space I was approached by overzealous sale reps, women in their 40-50s trying to sell me the concept. Then explaining I need to shop online or order at the store. But then better ship it to the store to avoid the shipping rate. I honestly came in here trying to avoid shopping on amazon for a tiny whisk / peeler. Lol now I'm just going to place my order with zero cost to shipping for the next day.. crazy And no one could answer me weather or not the new store will have Christmas ornaments or any fun decor items that size. Prolly have a giant tree with a giant bow and oversized everything. Feel pretty corporate and not for the common person / people.

This is a showroom version of Crate and Barrel, but they can still ship you anythinf crate and barrel carries, usually for free! Everyone working has been so kind and helpful. While it's not your normal Crate and Barrel experience, it's worth popping in- you might just find something you didn't know you needed!

It's not a design studio anymore but back to being a regular store. I'm so glad they saw all the negative reviews and decided to go back how the Pasadena location originally was. Customer service here is mixed. Sometimes it's bad and sometimes it's great. Honestly I don't need help other than checking out, so it doesn't bother me either way

This is the first time in my life that I have to written a negative review. I did not expect it to be a furniture brand I like very much. Don't believe what in store sales tell you. And even the store manager, she is not helping to solve problem but getting things worse. They don't allow you cancel your order even did not receive anything and have to wait around 2 more months. I was so mad with this store and won't order anything from them. Be careful when you buy anything from them, also must be carful when they explain the delivery fee for you. There is hidden policy they have!!!!

Every time I walk into this store, I regret it. Their constant control and policing of you is annoyin, we felt we were targeted and velt uneasy, when told to stop, the manager was rude and confrontational it wasn't a welcoming environment. The lady at the front is paid to harras patrons, not happy, liked a few things but couldn't stay a minute longer, we wanted to get out and quick. We used to shop there so much, I remember when they were on the other side, before they moved, still have stuff over 20 years old we got from them, the culture has changed and it doesn't feel the same and the store feels empty too. The employees have gotten worse and worse, I feel they're constantly on top of you, leave me alone, shish.

I was in the store recently. It is definitely not the same experience as the regular Crate & Barrel that used to be across the street. Products here at the new location are sparse. It doesnt feel like a 'design studio' it feels more like a 'this is all we can ship in from china right now' studio. For a supposed design showcase the products themselves have poor design. Everything has gone minimalist (except the plump older employees gossiping in the back). Ive got plenty of money to spend and no one was helpful or attentive. Im not a fan of overly attentive but at least acknowledging customers when no one else is in the store would go a long way. Bottom line I hope this place goes out of business.

What a disappointment. Not only is the space bland and completely uninspiring and dull, no one asked if we were looking for anything! They said hi and were nice enough, but we were literally in to buy something and no one asked anything about our needs. So I'm writing this review from inside Pottery Barn where they have been super helpful and we are making our purchase. I predict closure after the 2020 Christmas season.

What was wrong with this new crate and barrel store! Used to love the one across the street. New set up was ok but staff were not friendly at all and not so attentive. They didn't even say hi when customers walked in rather just gave them a look! Oh wow! Just impressive! CB should check out Room and Board customer service! Top notch!!! Carried inexpensive floor items compared to Location in Costa Mesa!!!!

In 2022, the item I ordered on-line did not work. Took it to store, staff extremely friendly. Greeted me, helped carry item. I asked them to test it just in case I was doing something wrong. They tested it. It did not work, they offered to order a new one, which I declined. I was issued a refund. Overall, excellent customer service. Today, I called about an item on-line. Staff very polite and helpful. She looked up the information for me, as it was not available on the computer. Since item is on stock at the store, I asked about the parking for the store, she provided that information too. Excellent customer service.

Such a let down after visiting a miniature version of what C&B Pasadena used to be. Don't bother going in if you used to have fun browsing through a variety of items and spending money on all those goodies you didn't need but loved! I was in and out in 3 mins. The new store is solely a much smaller showroom with extremely limited products on display. Kitchen odds and ends, decorations, serveware are non existent. Just a dozen tabletop samples out and that's basically it. They would've been better off just closing Pasadena location altogether IMO. I love the brand and will stay their patron probably to less extent as I prefer to see what I'm buying in person. I won't be visiting their boutique though. Order online and save yourself a trip.

This store is beautiful and the team here has been incredibly helpful with all my orders and changes. Most recently Monique and Alexis helped me with an order. They were so polite, quick and efficient. Also, shoutout to C&B corporate. The Agents always provide good customer service. Thank you.

Sad that the old store is gone. I loved going in and buying new gadgets and leaving with new glassware and an excuse for a wine party. Bring back the old concept this new store is a joke.

Truly the worst customer or shall I say lack of customer service I've ever encountered. My friend and I were looking forward to making some kitchen accessory purchases for our new homes. I was looking forward to making a purchase for my kitchen. How about I start with not being greeted when we entered the store. We counted 4 representatives working the floor and one other customer. I had planned on making some kitchen accessory purchases and was initially ignored by someone that was sitting at a desk, she made no eye contact and when we asked her where we could purchase kitchen accessories she mentioned the Basement. We could not access the basement so we asked two other representatives helping one customer with her purchase and they repeatedly ignored us. I politely asked 5 times and on my last attempt they told us they did not have a kitchen accessory area. I went back to the same rep that had initially ignored us for clarification and with a condescending tone she claimed that she never told us to look in the basement and when I asked her where the we could find kitchen items she responded with a smug face and said, "like what kitchen items". I think any representative that works at your store would know what basic kitchen accessories are and when I broke down what a kitchen accessory/item is she pointed to the back of the store and said that way. I'm not sure what the problem was, but I can only assume that as a people of color my friend and I were not ideal customers for your shop. I'm highly disappointed that an already empty store would have no regard for customers. I will highly discourage anyone I come across that's interested in making a purchase at your store to not shop there. I would expect more sensitivity especially with the current social climate (black lives matter) movement. Shame on you and your horrible store representatives.

Customer service is poor at the cashier/online order pick up. The Caucasian lady who was at the desk from 12:35-12:40 was condescending. Needless to say, I'm not going to pick up any products from this store.
