We made a registry for our wedding with Crate and Barrel and a lot of things were purchased from family and friends. The items we got felt cheap and not worth the price point so we decided to return more than half of what was purchased for us in hopes to find better quality items in the store that were at-least worth the price point. When we brought in the registry gifts for return they didn’t scan $100 worth of product that if I didn’t catch on the receipt I would have lost out on. The items we did keep have broken/rusted or been damaged somehow. we have a gift card left over and don’t even want to use it because everything there is 100% not worth the price. Crate and barrel is unbelievable cheap and disappointing. Photo below of the Tupperware lid that cracked in half

Crate and Barrel is just a small and super overpriced IKEA. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're looking for practical options, I'd be afraid to use half of these things with how much they cost...

Hosea Daniel’s was the best sales person I’ve ever worked with. He gave us all the information we needed to make a decision. He even drew up a furniture layout of what it would like when we receive the couch. He didn’t pressure us into buying a couch and gave us ample amount of time. Hands down the best person to work with! Ask for Hosea Daniel’s if you go! ****UPDATE 8 MONTHS LATER***** Although all the above is correct I’m going to give the couch itself 2 stars. The individual cushions are not the best. I contacted customer service and they were able to give me 15% back of my original purchase order. I ended up paying $300 more out of pocket to get the bench cushion. I’m sure something else could have been done if I reached out to the salesperson but I thought reaching out to customer service would be the same. Anywho, find the pictures attached for your reference.

I bought a very expensive sectional sofa from Crate & Barrel and it is defective. The pillows don’t lay flat and fall constantly. I’ve tried speaking with the manager and customer service and both were not helpful and dropped the ball. This is quite surprising as I have always known Crate & Barrel to be very reputable!

Google
The customer service for the location was great. The product not so much. I purchased a new Ganther couch and the cushions were too small for the couch casing a gap. Customer service gave me a credit of 15% and explained the bench cushions I wanted were about the same price. The bench cushions were actually twice the price. I had to come out of pocket for a couch that was already defective to get a replacement cushion. I will never buy another couch from crate and barrel. The quality is not good and this was after only 6 months of use. Extremely disappointed with my purchase.

I live in Orlando, but was visiting Tampa so I decided to stop by Crate & Barrel since the Orlando location permanently closed. When I first arrived, I picked up 12 napkins rings and placed them in a Mercer mug that I needed to replace because one of my children broke one. Unfortunately, I felt like this lead to one associate essentially following me the entire time I was in the store under the guise of trying to be helpful and offer information with various products that I was looking at. I guess she thought I was going to try and steal the napkin rings. The entire experience made me uncomfortable, and I’m more disappointed in myself that I didn’t address it right then and there, but just didn’t have the energy at the moment. I won’t be going back to the Tampa location.

I’ve been to this location a few times. The female manager with short dark hair has always been very condescending and makes you jump through hoops to get assistance. I’ve also seen her be pretty rude to the other employees. Another employee Teresa was very helpful and friendly and went above and beyond.

Hi, I visited the Tampa location with family as an alternative to IKEA and was absolutely disgusted when I tasted the coffee offered in the store. I have no idea if the milk used is 3 weeks old or what but I will absolutely not be eating or drinking anything from this establishment and would highly recommend a health inspection to see if procedures are being followed correctly.

Yelp
It really makes no difference if I need something or not, I'll always find something at Crate & Barrel. Their holiday decor selection is great and I love browsing the kitchen gadget area...you can never have too many gadgets or small bowls! There's something magical about walking out with that white bag!

Aisha S.

Yelp
Customer service was awful! This was my first time visiting the store. None of the workers asked if I needed assistance.

Yelp
Beautiful Crate & Barrel location! Great options for cookware and glassware. However, I came in looking for a desk that they had online and it was not available on the showroom floor. I also was looking for holiday cookie cutters and was unable to find any. The service was also not that great because there were several employees that did not ask if I needed help finding anything. You would expect the service to be as top notch as the prices.

Mark W.

Yelp
Employees are unable to help. They simply tell you they don't know. They have to talk to your manager, and those people are not available instead of helping find solutions and actually selling your product. They simply say they're unable to help highly recommend you go online versus going to the actual retail store.

Yelp
The price range was moderate to high as expected from any Crate & Barrel store. I like browsing in-person and looking for pieces I can add to my home decor.

Yelp
Ethan and Camilla made this place incredible! Within seconds of sitting down they greeted us. I'm a local and would highly suggest checking out this trendy rooftop bar!

Yelp
I am very disappointed in the Tampa Crate & Barrel Store. I purchased several things, 2 sofas, 2 armchairs, a dining room table with 8 chairs and also a chandelier. Approximately two weeks ago, I received part of the furniture at my house. The guys who delivered the furniture were very attentive and removed everything from the boxes so I could check if everything was ok. After checking the furniture, my house was full of open boxes, the guys asked me if I wanted them to clean the room and take the boxes with them in the truck. Obviously I agreed. At night when my wife arrived home from work, we noticed that the chandelier was too big in relation to the dining table. I called the store and asked how I could change the chandelier. Over the phone, the store told me that I would have to take the chandelier back to the store. I drove 140 miles from my home in Gainesville to Tampa. That's where the problems started. Arriving at the store, I removed the chandelier from the car and was attended to by an employee named Robert and explained the reason for the return. He asked me if I had cut the wires and I said I hadn't even touched the chandelier. Then he asked about the box and I explained that the box would probably be in the trash, since the boys who delivered it took it with them. He then told me that without the original box he would not be able to give me the money back, only give me a credit to be spent in the store as he would not be able to resell the chandelier. I explained to him that we had no intention of purchasing anything else in the store, since we had already made a large purchase and that no one explained to us over the phone or at any time that we had to have the original box to return the product. From then on, he unfortunately began to treat me, my wife and two daughters in an arrogant manner, with disregard and a lot of prejudice. To be honest, since I arrived in the United States I have never been treated with such disregard and prejudice in an establishment as I was treated by this person called Robert in Crate & Barrel, especially in a place where I consider myself a good customer. At the end of this I decided to bring the chandelier back home to try to resolve it in another way. But I would like to know who pays for my time and gas. I can say that it was the first and last time I shop at this store. And here's a tip for those responsible for the store, make it clear to your customers that is mandatory to keep the original boxes so that exchanges can be made. And a tip for those who migrate from another country, don't buy from this store as you will have the same feeling of racism that I felt in front of my family, even after buying a considerable amount of products in the store. The return policy and the way they treat people is terrible. So sad.

Yelp
I love Crate and Barrel and this store has excellent customer service, BUT. This is a home store and upon entering their restroom I was shocked. The toilet seat was beyond disgusting. Not that a customer did something but the seat was old, chipping, stained brown and should not be in a high end home store. I haven't even seen a seat like this in a Home Depot. Shame on you guys for not spending $30 for a decent replacement.

Yelp
Had a great, quick experience buying coasters. My sister just moved in to a new apartment in downtown LA. I was about two months late on a birthday gift so she suggested I get her coasters (plus other things). Done! I also thought hey if the coasters are expensive enough maybe I wouldn't have to figure out the other things. My sister is a quintessential LA girl, which means she is a bit snooty with her shopping. I knew this meant I would have to get the coasters from either Pottery Barn, West Elm, Crate & Barrel, or a local boutique. I went to Hyde Park first to look and ended up checking out Sur la Table and Anthropologie as well. I never realized coasters could be so expensive. There were some that were $18 per coaster at Anthropologie. At West Elm there was a set of 4 that were $59. They were made out of petrified wood and super heavy so I didn't think my sister would appreciate having to fly back with them. At this point I was thinking score I might not have to buy anything else plus the coasters! After scouting all of Hyde Park I went back to Anthropologie to get the coasters. I wasn't actually super impressed with any of my options, but I wasn't going to spend a second day looking for coasters. My mistake was I had my one year old with me and he lost his mind when trying to get the coasters. I decided not worth the effort and we left coasterless. Driving home I decided to swing by Crate & Barrel as a last resort. First, this store is huge compared to the Hyde Park stores. It is two stories and has everything. The moment we walked in an employee walked up and asked if we needed help. Yep, looking for coasters. The coasters were spread throughout the store so after showing me a couple she asked if I had an idea of what I was looking for. I said white marble/modern/etc. (really I was just grasping for what I thought my sister would like). She pulled up a couple on her iPad (awesome tech!) and showed me the perfect set. She then grabbed it for me and we went to check out. While checking out she double checked that $34 was an ok price. She sounded kind of apologetic saying that it was a little pricier because they were fancy. I had just been looking at $18 for one coaster, so $34 for 4 was a steal! I did appreciate her checking with me. (This did mean I had to find additional gifts for my sister though.) The woman was so nice. She chatted with me and entertained my son during the entire process. She said she couldn't believe he would lose his mind at another store and the little demon just smiled happily at her the whole time. This was such a quick and easy process. She even stuck it in a box for me. I should have just started here. Now I know better and I will next time.

Yelp
What an amazing experience we've had at C&B, Tampa, as we have worked over this past year to furnish our new coach home in Naples, FL. We had the pleasure of working with Debbie D. - designer extraordinaire (understandable why she is the top producing sales person for the company)!!! Debbie encouraged us to shop around the store to see what we liked before she started working with us one-on-one. While we didn't need a lot of hand holding, because of our previous furniture experience, ordering and purchasing the furniture was beyond easy with Debbie's expertise. In fact, Debbie even provided us with her personal contact info (not something she normally does, folks!) so that we could reach out to her any time we needed to modify our order and/or arrange delivery. What a pleasure experiencing customer service to the degree Debbie provided! If you're on the west coast of Florida, within driving distance to Tampa, and shopping for furniture - make the time to go to the Crate in Tampa and be sure to ask for Debbie D. in furniture: You won't be sorry you did!

Yelp
This was our first visit to a 'Brick & Mortar' Crate & Barrel. After purchasing items on their website, we figured it'd be fun to see the goodies in person. From e-commerce to eye-commerce! Fab one and I took a day trip from Brooksville...a little shopping, a little lunch, a little who knows? Well, I do love to drive, we both love to shop and we are gourmet foodies after all! We were immediately greeted by several of the store employees. The store is light, bright and airy, two stories of shopping seduction. On that cue, we dove right in to the crates and the barrels! Funny how you plan on shopping for just ONE item, but thanks to keen peripheral vision you become that veritable 'kid in a candy store'...and there we were, chasing after porcelain lollipops and cookware kisses! Fab one was already visualizing plating up some superb cuisine on these new found treasures. Court low bowls, Cambridge Rectangular Platters, Over-The-Sink Mesh Colanders and more! We were immersed in a sea of glee, as it were....and I love when my lady is delighted. Let's talk about the C&B staff again. Each time we'd pass the check out, Barbara and Chuck were there for the hand off. They eased our burden of carrying platters and bowls. They skillfully stacked our prized pickings. When we could shop no more, Barbara handled the wand of scanning, laser tallying for the legal tender trade. Then, Chuck meticulously wrapped and gingerly boxed each item. My wits are sometimes whirring, like a thousand wings, and with this cha-ching ring I realized, I had forgotten one little thing. I was lax to ask if they had a discount for my past? A Veteran's Discount, that is...so I tardily asked. Barbara politely smiled and answered with a hearty "Yes!". She summoned Steve to come help in this mess....(not a mess, at all!) Steve re-rang the entire purchase, followed by a big "Thank you for your service", and a generous discount. As Fab one and I strolled towards the door, we heard a trio of voices wishing us well and inviting us to come back for more! I turned, smiled with a wink and a blink, knowing there's a birthday approaching for my Fab one, I think..

Yelp
When you enter there's a gallon bottle of Hand Sanitizer available, yet the first Sales Associate greeting you at the door is mask less. Numerous other Associates were also mask less. Why even have Hand Sanitizer if the Associates aren't considerate enough to wear a mask then why try at all? Wear a mask or don't. But, as a person working in Retail interacting with multiple people daily you should be aware of the 51,000 COVID Deaths in Florida.

Yelp
Over the years, we have relied on purchasing housewares from here. They always have an up-to-date collection of nearly everything for your living spaces. The staff is ever-present but also lets you browse with being pushy which I like a lot. For anyone who has been here before, you can find household items here that you cannot find elsewhere (e.g., tables, lamps, stemware, place settings, etc.) This store is located in a south of International Mall. I would definitely recommend you stop by if you want to upscale your housewares.

Yelp
First time coming to a flagship store, and it was a bit disappointing. There were really no sales that Crate and Barrel offered except on holiday decor items. The quality of dishes that were in store were really poor. I saw scratches and dents on some. I would imagine for the amount of money you are paying you would expect the quality to be high. Moving on, there are hand sanitizer stations when you walk in and near the escalator. We came on Black Friday and I felt like there were more sales associates then actual customers. We were greeted promptly and some of the sales associates did ask us if we needed any help. The gentleman upstairs in the furniture section was friendly. The actual furniture on display was mediocre, high prices for similar items that you could get for cheaper at City Furniture or even Z Gallerie. I don't find myself going out of the way to shop here.

S F.

Yelp
I ordered a bread box on February 9th. It has been in the status of "being prepared" since this time. They give an estimated ship date and when that date comes they change to a delivery date. I requested that the order be cancelled and I be refunded. Customer service called the warehouse and they said ok and he told me my refund would appear in 3-5 days. The next day I get an email that says the warehouse can't cancel it and I have to wait until I get it to return it because it is being "prepared for shipment already." I explained it has been like this for two months and I am being lied to because it is not being prepared. At this point they once again changed my delivery date today to next week. They are doing everything possible to not refund me for a product I assume I will never see. I always thought this was supposed to be a good company but I am extremely angry and feel I am getting fraudulent responses so they can keep my payment without delivering an item.

Yelp
As soon as I get upstairs on the escalator,8 envisioned that I was home. Everything was so perfectly decorated and perfectly placed that it's just a dreamy spot to shop at. Whether it's wine glasses, an area rug or a whole living room-it can be sourced here. The staff are super friendly in helping you find all the items you're looking for without bombarding you. There's a bunch of parking and since it's in the entrance of the mall without being connected to it, it doesn't come with that clustered mall feel. I was able to get some nice stemless champagne glasses and some new spatulas for my new kitchen. I was in Tampa for the day so I decided to peruse the area and shop my afternoon away. The patio section gives me life and if you're looking to upgrade your house in a way that won't need replacing in the blink of an eye, then come here.

Yelp
This is my favorite Crate & Barrel location because the staff is so friendly and capable. My wife and I love Ms Debbie, in particular, because she single-handedly helped us furnish our living room, dining room, patio, office and bedrooms with new couches, tables, rugs, etc. The experience was so much better than our prior visits to competitors (RH, DWR) that we look for reasons to make the drive to Tampa. We didn't expect to spend so much time and money for the effort, but experience was preferable to dealing with snooty interior designers or aloof salespeople. Just my 2 cents...
google avatar

Marqus R.

Yelp
This store is huge Crate & Barrel and as a result has pretty much everything in stock, so there is no waiting around for shipments and orders. They have all kinds of patio, other furniture and home decorator items. This store also offers assistance of "Wedding Registry" experts and store experts in home furnishing and design though best to schedule an appointment in advance for such services. The quality of the goods seemed to me to be pretty good but they darn well should be for the prices being asked. In fact if I have one sort of sore point with Crate & Barrel in general it is with their prices. I certainly don't mind paying top dollar, but when I do I expect a top quality and a great design bang for my buck, and though their goods are of very high quality, nothing either super special in quality or of a design I would expect for the price.

Yelp
ahh.. Crate & Barrel. If only they would just let me move into the store with my cat. I was so excited when I heard they were building one in Tampa. Prior to that, the closest one was Orlando, and was always an ordeal to go to. The Tampa store is a very cool, modern looking, free-standing, two-story building with plenty of parking. Inside the store, the bottom level consists of housewares ranging from sheets, rugs, and tablecloths, to dishware and kitchen gadgets, to wall hangings, to knickknacks for every room. They also have an excellent selection of gifts in every price range. Sales people are usually everywhere, but once they greet you, they leave you alone unless you ask for help. Upstairs they have their furniture - mostly for furnishing a house: bedroom sets, desks, couches, lamps, etc. My boyfriend bought his television console there, and I bought a lamp, and both purchases have lasted well and received numerous compliments. When you buy something at Crate & Barrel, you may spend a bit money more than you intended, but know that you are purchasing a quality item that will last indefinitely (or at least, until you tire of it).

Lissette F.

Yelp
I am blown away by the customer service at Crate & Barrel - Tampa. Debbie Davis, a true design expert was excellent to work with. She has so much knowledge on decor & style and is willing to go the extra mile. She gave us so much of her precious time until we were able to address our needs and feel comfortable with our purchases. Debbie exemplifies what customer service truly is and we could not be any happier with our local store.

Yelp
We registered for wedding gifts at Crate & Barrel and I absolutely love every gift I got from this store! They sell everything you could need for your home: dishes, pots and pans, kitchen electronics, bedding, towels, curtains, rugs, home decor, and furniture. Everything here is so modern and stylish, but the prices can be a little extreme so I knocked off a star. Most of the furniture is outside of my price range, but we did purchase a gorgeous bar for our apartment. The bar is so functional and we receive so many compliments on how amazing it looks. The store's customer service and return policy is amazing. Our Vinturi Red Wine Aerator was leaking wine from the stand so we brought it back to the store. Even though the item had been purchased more than 30 days previously the store agreed to exchange the item for a new one.

Robin E.

Yelp
Our favorite store to furnish every area of our home for years in NJ. I'm so sad that the entire state of Florida has only this location...almost 3hrs away .

Yelp
Favorite furniture store! The entire staff hAs been amazing! Debbie is the most wonderful sales associate. Because of her, we have furnished the entire house quickly and it looks wonderful. Can't thank her enough for her patience!!! Jamie and John are always helpful and remember us each time we come in, from a previous visits. Can't say enough about shopping here. Will always be my favorite place to shop for the home

Yelp
I needed some nesting bowls so wanted to see what Crate & Barrel had. I was promptly greeted by Heather, who searched her iPad for all options for me. After looking around the store, I also received assistance Ghassan when looking for another item. I found the bowls I wanted at at a good price and received exceptional customer service from Ghassan & Heather. This is why I love shopping here!!

Yelp
The furniture is great and up to date, but the customer service is awful and the way the furniture is delivered is sloppy for how expensive the furniture is. When you have to finance furniture, you know it is expensive, but then when you have to return the furniture 3 times because it is broken, you question if you purchased Ikea products. Contacted the corporate office and they did not seem to care. Go elsewhere like WEST ELM!! Oh and Crate, please don't respond to this yelp with "Thanks for sharing, this information will help us in the future" because that is garbage. I gave multiple attempts for someone to fix things and no one did.

Yelp
I am a self described Crate and Barrel junie. However, this location on more than one occasion has had the snootiest salespeople I have ever come across! I was a definitely put off by the salesman's attitude towards me. Ill admit, I was a mess. I had been not feeling well and nursing a back injury, but he acted as if i were a bum that had wandered in from the road. I came in as a last resort to find a beer flight board for my Airbnb. ( After shopping all the local big box stores, i KNEW CB would be my savior) I have a triple tap kegerator and thought it would be a novelty for guests to pour their own flight. I found what I needed and had to look for a cashier that was available. The experience left me unsettled, as I shop at CB frequently, in store and online. I have purchased $1000's of $ in furniture, half my home is furnished in CB. I have driven across the state to PU items that were on sale and even been to the enormous CB outlet in Cranberry NJ! (Which btw gets 5* for service alone, Jersey peeps rock) Perhaps a chat with salespersons is in order as not everyone may come into this location looking South Tampa chic. Don't judge by looks and dress, you never know who you are dealing with. Update: A big Thank you! To the manager who received my comments. She took the time to reach out and apologize which is A+ customer service in my book!

Yelp
If I can give zero stars I would. I bought a $5000 couch three years ago and it started pilling. I called to ask how to remedy the situation and they said I can buy new casing's but they would not cover it. Reason that they do not stand behind their product is because they don't know "what lifestyle I live". I found that to be very offensive-- ended up closing out my credit card and will never shop at a crate and barrel affiliated store again in my life.

Yelp
I've been here a number of times but today I felt compelled to write a review. We walked into the store this evening at the same time as a mother with two kids (one around 10) 40 minutes before they were closing. 1) They had a lot of holiday decorations up with baskets of sparkly ornaments greeting us when we entered. The 10 y/o promptly grabbed an ornament and I saw him squeeze it only to hear the thing literally shatter before our eyes. I gasped because it was less than 10 seconds when we entered the store and it was right next to me so it startled me. The staff reacted professionally and remained friendly saying, "No one is hurt right? No worries. I'll clean that right up." Amazing! This is why I would fail in the customer service category because I stared incredulously at the mom who did not admonish her child at all that this wasn't okay. Kudos to the worker who remained cool, calm and collected. 2) At no point during our visit did the staff act like they were eager to see us leave or rush us in any shape or form. From entering to store to making our purchases, they remained friendly and professional. I always have fun shopping at this store looking for new additions for the home or gifts for friends and family. Some of the items are on the pricey side but the quality is there. There are definite treasures to be found here.

Yelp
I have a friend that is very sick (had to take him to ER room twice over the past few days). He continues to be very sick and weak and had a scheduled delivery from Crate & Barrel the next day. Too weak to call Crate & Barrel, he had me call for him to reschedule the delivery. It was still over 24 hours in advance of the scheduled delivery. Crate & Barrel demanded a $35.00 rescheduling fee just to reschedule. I went ahead and paid this for my friend, but was appalled at Crate & Barrel for even charging such a RIP-OFF fee. I've been a long term shopper of Crate & Barrel myself, but will NEVER shop there again. I will also be sure to pass along to all my friends to AVOID SHOPPING AT CRATE & BARREL. Such a rip-off.

Yelp
This is the best Crate and Barrel I've ever been to. For starters, it's never overly crowded and that's primarily to do with the fact that they aren't attached to the rest of International Plaza. Huge plus. Every sales associate is knowledgeable and helpful. I especially love the manager, Audrey. She spent over 30 minutes with me trying to go over specifics from a previous model of cookware in comparison to the new model they released. Sales associates and managers don't have to do that, so the fact that she chose to spend the extra time to make me happy was really appreciated. The merchandising of the store is also done to perfection. It's so easy to navigate throughout. Turnover of product is also fast which is important to me, because I always want the latest model or version of something. Love this store!

Yelp
I am in love with this place. I have never been in before and we happened to be invited to a Bridal registry party. There were only about 8 couples in the whole store before it even opened at 9am and we had the place to ourselves til about 11a.m. The place is so clean and we were there to see how they set up the store for an opening! Lots of work went into it, people steaming and painting walls it was amazing. They are to me like the kitchen version of sharper image. There are so many nice gadgets I never even knew existed as well as normal day basic things like cups, plates, silverware. Mary was such a personable person and made sure she could answer our questions, then we were sent to Abbi to help out with decorating and furniture ideas! She's got a degree in interior design! Good way to select your workers. It makes the shopping experience so much fun!

Yelp
Gosh I like Crate & Barrel. Simple well designed housewares, great home do-dads and a staff that will tear the place apart to find you what you want. These people are not gonna miss a sale if they can help it, no sir. I recently popped in looking for some custard ramekins, and while they did not have exactly what I was hoping for (I like round bottoms in the cups - square seems to be the current prevailing design) They DID find me 2 options that were a lot closer than anywhere else - and did it with the help of their snappy computer look up system (which I'm assuming is their web interface) but still, they did it for me - I like that. Service, great products, wide selection. Plus this store is HUGE and has an enormous furniture selection. Pssst: next door they have a great bar - you can shop and then retire for a well crafted cocktail after....

Yelp
I have always been a fan of Crate and Barrel and am happy this store is only a few minutes from my house! I always have a good experience when I shop here and normally find what I am looking for. Parking can be tricky on some nights if Ocean Prime (restaurant next door) is packed and their customer cars overflow but that is more of a rare instance. I have purchased all sorts of items here...furniture, house décor, gifts, etc and think the quality and construction is very good. I normally see a good amount of items on sale so keep your eyes peeled for those red price markdowns! :)

Yelp
Schwing! Crate & Barrel...ahhh! I love this store and I'm so happy that we registered here for our wedding. Everything is designed so well and the store itself is laid out so well and it's so open and pretty and, perfect. And there, folks, is the most distracted review ever. I just keep thinking of everything I want from this place. Do you think anyone will notice if I just hide out every night and make this my home?

Yelp
Been 7 years since my original review (maybe reviews that old should be deleted?). I had an excellent experience here with great help from employee "Amy". As a matter of fact, her assistance increased my purchase from $15 to $150! She was knowledgeable and didn't mind doing some legwork for me (finding something not on display she thought they had, for example). She wrapped meticulously so my things arrived home in one piece. This is a two level store with a wide variety of items for the home. Unfortunately their furniture is EXTREMELY expensive--they do have some cute "trendy" stuff. But there are bargains galore in other departments. Lots of neat seasonable items. You can pre-shop online, they do a good job of organizing, posting and including prices on their site.

Yelp
Crate & Barrel prices aren't the greatest in the world, but many of them are fair considering the quality of what you get. A pan for making 24 mini-muffins set us back $12.95, but it's made of steel rather than aluminum. Their dining sets aren't nearly as cheap as IKEA's, but the set we picked up on clearance has lasted years with no problems at all. My advice: Pay attention to what's on clearance and what's on sale, and stick with clear glass and plain white dishes. The quality is very good, and you don't pay extra for a trendy pattern. Let's face it: this stuff is going to last you a long time. Don't pay extra for patterns that you'll regret in ten years. And be creative. I paid $2 each for bud vases that turned out to be perfect as shot glasses. They look like chemistry-lab flasks. Put a little dry ice in there with your blue curacao, vodka, and cinnamon schnapps, and you'll blind all your guests with science (and cleverness).

Yelp
Ok so, I have an obsession with any and all furniture stores, so I was excited to check out Crate and Barrel. [+] - Staff was pretty friendly and helpful - Unique and funky accessory pieces - Everything was organized and easily found - HUGE appliance section [-] - It was smaller than expected at the end of the day... While I wasn't a fan of their larger furniture (sofas, dinner tables, etc.), I did like a lot of the funkier accessory items (throw pillows, end tables, etc.) that seem to be unique to their store. Their appliance and kitchen section was GINORMOUS and I loved it. They also had a couple of funky colored rugs and bedding that I loved.

Yelp
In the last year and a half we have spent thousands of dollars at Crate and Barrel furnishing most of our new condo. Last week, I noticed that a burnished leg on a coffee table we purchased there had a defect in the finish. Now it's been 8 months since we got this particular piece, but all I wanted was for a finish repair person to come out and make it right. I called customer service at the store and it was clear from the beginning that all they were focused on was washing their hands of it. I sent them photos of the damage along with an email with my information. They called me back about an hour later to tell me that there was nothing they could do for me, and that after 10 days they couldn't take returns. I never asked for a return; I asked for a repair. When I asked what the warranty was, AND THIS IS THE PART THAT EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT CRATE AND BARREL, she told me that there is no warranty on their furniture once the 10 days has passed. When I asked for the phone number of the repair service they use she said she could give it to me, as long as I understood that this in no way means that Crate and Barrel is responsible for any repairs that are made. Even Pier 1 has 5 year warranties on their furniture. For the prices that C&B charges they should at least back up their products. We already returned a set of chairs we bought for out dining area months after we purchased them because the seats started collapsing soon after we purchased them. The chairs we replaced them with were delivered only to find the finish on one of the legs was defective. Starting to see a pattern here? When you take delivery on your purchases I strongly recommend that you check every inch before the delivery people leave; otherwise you might be stuck with damaged furniture at Crate and Barrel prices. Your better off buying quality furniture from a reputable dealer where they back up the products they sell. Shame of Crate and Barrel. We will NEVER shop there again. Messaged C&B with order#. Haven't heard anything at all.

Yelp
My favorite crate and barrel store. Huge store with two floors. The staff is always friendly and willing to help out.

Yelp
Ordered 4 expensive wood dining room chairs....They just threw them in a huge box individually with NO void fill...No cushioning. Nothing. Just a loose piece of plastic wrap. Tossed around in trucks. Consequently they showed up completely shattered. Just broken to bits. Called customer service to get a run around. They weren't sure they could pick them up from my house? They have 72 hours to come pick up their junk and refund me or it's a chargeback and the end of it. WORST furniture buying experience EVER!!

Yelp
I like the store and their furniture. We have been to the store a few times before making a decision on buying the sofas we wanted and have had different experiences while in the store. I think it was mostly because of the store buying busy and the sales reps trying to give attention to everyone that was in there. I bought a sofa and a chaise in mid-July and was told they would deliver in about a month and that they would give me an exact date in the next couple weeks. About two weeks after I got a call scheduling the delivery for Aug 18th. A couple days before Aug 18th I got called to confirm the delivery time. All going great thus far. On the Aug 18th in the morning, I got called by the store saying that the chaise would not be delivered and that they don't yet have a date for the delivery of this piece. Note that they only told me that on the exact day of the delivery they have already confirmed a couple days before. They delivered the sofa on the 18th but not the chaise. The delivery service was terrible. They went into my house wearing dirty shoes and didn't worry about getting some shoe covers or removing it before getting in. I got called today that they don't have a clear date on the delivery of the missing chaise, but I should get it in 7 to 10 days. They also mentioned they would compensate me for the issue. Here are the highlights on unacceptable and unprofessional things they have done thus far and I will update as I have news: * Not letting me know until the delivery date that part would not be delivered; * Terrible delivery service; * Not being able to give me a new date on when the furniture would be delivered; * Prices (and supposedly quality) are higher than average on this store. I'd hope I really get what I paid for, which doesn't seem to be the case thus far; * My card was completed charged at the day of purchase (more than one month ago) and although they are willing to offer some compensation that won't happen until the final delivery, which is still unknown. ------- Update on 9/4 I was called by the store who offered me to waive the delivery fee and to give me a credit for the inconvenience caused. They gave me a new delivery data for 9/8. This is 20 days after the initial promised delivery date. I will post another update once I have it.

Yelp
Furniture, home goods, kitchen gadgets. It's a beautiful wonderland. I really appreciate that the staff at Crate & Barrel is always so helpful. They are also amazing to work with if you happen to have any problems with your items. I must commend them for working with me through getting the perfect table delivered to my house; it took a few tries/deliveries, but I can't imagine my home without our huge reclaimed wood table!

Yelp
One of the best experience we have had in a retail store. Professional and amazing customer service. We purchased a large bookcase and everything from the purchase to the delivery was flawless. Well be shopping here on a regular basis.

Yelp
This location is very helpful and friendly. Betty and I have purchased numerous knick-knacks here along with dinnerware, our sofa and an armchair. They are definitely not cheap, but the quality is decent and their designs are nice. We had a problem with our sofas cushion and they replaced it multiple times until we were satisfied and it wasn't much of a hassle at all.

Yelp
Great location and a great selection of products. It's a two floor store and there are treasures everywhere. The staff was super helpful in tracking down an item that wasn't in stock. Most items are extremely over priced. However, you get what you pay for! It's good quality stuff, that will last forever. I will say that the furniture is of the upmost quality. I'm very happy with my purchase. I'm just salted over the fact that after I spent over $3,000 on 3 pieces of furniture, that they can't throw in delivery and there was an extra fee. I mean, really?? Otherwise, good experience with this store!

Yelp
Walking into this store always makes me feel like I'm in a magazine, everything looks nice, organized, colorful even if I dont buy anything I always like to take a look to see what new kitchen gadgets I can find and yes most of it is not needed but when you have something you really like you tend to use it more ... and perhaps will attempt to cook more often. The furniture here it's also very nice and yes pricey if you receive their emails you may be able to get some discounts every now and then. Overall love it. The only think that I was disappointed about was that they arrange for furniture delivery but not assembly.

Yelp
Thanks so much to the team at our Tampa store. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I live in an apartment and really need to make my selections careful since my space is limited. I have been very pleased with especially one suggestion to purchase a ladder to place my large towel on. This is one of the "fun" ideas because it looks perfect in a corner in my bathroom just behind my door however to an angle. My company appreciates that they can easily "see" the towels! When you do not have any storage this is a great find. Thanks to the associates who always have a way of "thinking outside of the box". I continue to explore other ways to enhance my "home". My last purchase was an outdoor rug for my patio. It's more than beautiful, great to walk on because it replaced one that was too thin. I will continue to shop with a store that hires people who you can tell love what they do and therefore are happy to assist. I hope anyone who reads this will shop local and stop by this amazing store.
