You know, I've been hearing around for years now that Crave has really gone down. I used to love Crave and actually have a ton of great memories from when I was younger, so I am very nostalgic towards the restaurant.
But let me tell you. It's just not worth it. Maybe if it was half the cost, or even a quarter. Fine. But I've been to the Roseville, MOA, and downtown Craved a couple of times the past few years, and I have to finally face the reality that they absolutely suck now. I wanted to celebrate a special occasion today, and spent $100 on my meal. This meal would only be acceptable at $20, total. It was the quality I would expect from, say...a gas station.
First, I ordered the Salmon Picatta. I asked for the salmon well done, admittedly, but it was so hard and chewy it actually hurt my jaw to even get through. And absolutely NO flavor. Completely flavorless. I didn't actually know that was possible. The pasta, too, had no seasoning, no salt, no cheese, nothing. It was just coated in about an inch high of oil, and that was it. Absolutely disgusting. How do you mess up pasta this bad?!
My partner ordered two rolls and a cookies and cream cake. They altogether forgot the cake. Great. One of the rolls was a straight up incorrect roll, but he forced himself to eat it - didn't like it. Naturally. Which is why he didn't order it. The other was just...bad. I don't know, he didn't go into details, but he said it was bad enough to not finish, and tossed the rest.
I haven't had my cheesecake yet, but not holding my breath for a good review.
Let me reiterate. This cost $100. I have nothing but regrets and a very ill stomach. Frankly, Crave, I want my money back.
