"This Chinatown restaurant is especially proud of its chicken, hence its former name, Crave — Mad for Chicken. Fried Korean-style, it comes as wings and drums, chicken and waffles, and more." - Erika Adams, Rachel Leah Blumenthal, Terrence Doyle

"As the name suggests, this restaurant is all about chicken — Korean-style fried wings and drums, chicken and waffles, and more. But that’s not all; there’s also a lot of sushi and sashimi, as well as some Korean entrees. Lunch and dinner available daily. Order: Official Site" - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Pros: Flavorful food. This is comparable to the Korean chicken I had in Korea, which I missed so much since leaving. The wings were crispy and just the right sweetness. The deotbokki was sweet and cooked in the perfect texture. I have too often had the rice cakes overcooked or undercooked at a Korean restaurant, but this place has it spot on. This is a great choice for those who haven't had Korean and would like to try. I guarantee you'll find something you like here. Cons: This is not really a con, but if do not know this, you will regret not knowing before going: Order the wings first as you browse through the menu. It takes them a while to prepare them as they batter and fry them fresh in the kitchen. As soon as they come out, they are hot and delicious while you wait for your other food. Be careful not to burn yourself!

Google
Asian spot in downtown Boston that's known for its fried chicken. It was near my hotel and my daughter eats here often so I had to try it. The fried chicken is as good as advertised and the Asian cuisine is also very good. This was my first time having Buffalo drumsticks but I don't want it to be my last.

We went to Crave on Sunday around 5 pm. It was not busy as we were early before the standard dinner time. We ordered 3 dishes; Korean fried chicken, spicy pork bulgogi, and topkoki. On drinks, we ordered hot sake. It was enough for two people. The food was good, and the portions were generous. We didn't even touch the spicy pork bulgogi as we were full, so we had to bring it home! I would definitely revisit this place and explore more of its menu! Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would highly recommend it!

Google
I would say this is easily the best lounge / bar in the area. With lots of great food and atmosphere. Perfect for dates, group, or drinks with your co-workers. Their chicken wings are amazing and unique but I feel like I am not doing the restaurant justice if I only write about that which they are known for. Whenever I come here, I always HAVE to get the tuna dumplings (they also have salmon version too!) and they have a number of dishes that I like that I rotate depending on my mood. Their truffle fries are good (i like the side of sauce they provide). I usually also order their kimchi fried rice. They also have a variety of salads that I like, one in which includes "The Amazing Salmon Salad" and "Spicy Crab Avocado Salad" are among my favorites.

Get the hotate hokkaiyaki! Get the hotate hokkaiyaki! Get the hotate hokkaiyaki! It’s sooooo good!!! You won’t regret it! I also got the angry spicy garlic boneless fried chicken, and it was mehhh. Nothing outstanding. It probably would taste better as wings or drumsticks. Don’t get boneless like I did. Also ordered the rabokki, and it was hugeeee! Very good too! I recommend getting that and splitting it with at least two people because the portion was a lot

Google
Definitely well known for their fried chicken! I love getting their soy garlic and spicy fried chicken. I also love their truffle Parmesan French fries. I try their other entrees and appetizers and they’re all solid. Can’t really go wrong with anything from their menu here.

The chicken here has a nice and crispy coating while still being incredibly tender! It’s very tasty. They also have A LOT of other choices. It can be a little overwhelming. The service is good enough, had to ask twice for my beer. But the beer is on draft from another country and it was very good and fun to try.

I had time to kill before my tutoring session, about three hours, and this place helped me achieve that very end. Firstly, I should say that I recommend getting one of the Japanese beers on draught. As far as the drinks menu is concerned, it will give you the best value and the beers are quite good. Otherwise, you end up paying just as much for a can of boring domestic beer. I arrived early enough to get the lunch specials and chose to get the Dolsot Bibimbap for old time sake. It's the best egg I've ever seen on top, fully-cooked and well-textured. It was the hottest rice bowl I've ever seen, and with the right amount of gochujang inside and outside the bowl, the heat let me heat slower than usual, taking sips between bites hot enough to finish off the polar ice caps. The service was good. Of course, it wasn't exactly primetime for the waitstaff with just two-three sets of customers in there. If not for the fact that there are so many good restaurants around there, I am liable to come back and try the fried chicken and other dishes, including Sushi.

Yelp
When my son was in grade school, I nicknamed him the "Grumpy Gourmet" because, while he loved to eat, he was always hesitant to try something new. His usual requests stayed within the boundaries of burgers, fries, pizza, American Chinese food, and his grandmother's cooking. I remember the exact face he made when I recommended that we eat Korean fried chicken; he looked as if I had just asked him to take a large bite out of an unpeeled lemon. However, after I dragged him, reluctantly, to Crave and we were presented with a large basket of garlicky-sweet chicken, as well as a few of his other favorites, he started to become curious. And after his first bite, he was less reluctant and more ravenous. I'm glad I had the foresight to order extra chicken. Now, my son is in college and every once in a while, he'll ask me to bring him an order from Crave when I come to visit. Although, he asks for the fried rice without the egg, showing me that he is still that finicky little boy. But, I have faith that the Grumpy Gourmet will eventually get there.

Yelp
It's been a handful of years since I've been back to Crave. We were going to see Jo Koy tonight and my friend suggested we come here for dinner. I was cool with it even though I remember the food being ok, the service not so much. Surprisingly, the food we got tonight wasn't bad. We got the wings, which were very crispy and flavorful. Also, the sushi pancake was very tasty too, as well as the kingslayer maki, I say it's a must-order. The service was better than the last time I was here.

Yelp
The food here is sooo good! One of my favorite combinations is sushi and fried chicken! It's like Korean fried chicken and similar to Bonchon. The flavor and texture is similar to bonchon but not as sweet. It is unique and flavorful and I just want to have an unlimited bucket if this chicken while watching my favorite movie. I came here for lunch so I got the 3 maki roll combo which is perfect! I get to experience different flavors at an affordable price and the atmosphere is so calm and so chill. I love it here and I feel like I can really get comfortable and eat my heart out

Melody H.

Yelp
Usually love their KFC - crispy skin that's not too thick/bulky with a delicious sweet and garlicky sauce. Though last time I ate there the oily taste was too much. Otherwise have tried their tteokbokki which is pretty meh. Would just come here for their KFC

Victoria T.

Yelp
The chicken was just okay. I got the medium combo, with half spicy and half soy garlic flavors. They were both very sweet, I think sweeter than Bonchon, but I liked the spicy chicken more than the non spicy. It was also not as crispy/crunchy as other places. The soondubu was really good, I liked it better than the chicken. It was so good for a cold night. There was little tiny shrimp in it, I've never had shrimp in my soondubu before. Is it supposed to be like that? I don't know, but I liked the dish overall. Also got the jalapeno bomb appetizer, that was really good too. I liked the combination of the jalapeno, spicy mayo, eel sauce, and crab meat. I thought the food was a bit expensive. There's also a 3% kitchen appreciation charge.

Yelp
Korean fried chicken is, hands down, one of my favorite foods! Crave definitely doesn't disappoint! We came on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. There weren't a lot of people here during that time - this is definitely more of a dinner place. We ordered the crispy shrimp shumai and soy garlic boneless fried chicken to share. The shumai was delicious - I loved the crispy skin and the flavorful shrimp filling. Since I had to share with 2 other people, I only got 2 pieces - I was tempted to get another order just for myself! The soy garlic chicken was SO yummy! The outside was so light, crispy, and insanely flavorful! The chicken, itself, was a bit bland. But the flavored batter makes up for it. Overall, I had a great experience - everything we ate was so delicious! I'll definitely be back for more!!

Deedee M.

Yelp
Parking here sucks 99.87% of the time but the food is worth it The soy garlic & angry wings are my go tos. The skin is always crispy but they could add just a little more sauce on their wings The drinks I can go without because they taste very watered down The fried rice was really good and has a lot of flavor, portion size wasn't bad either Seafood rangoons tasted of old oil and mainly cream cheese The roll they got wrong and had to remake, the crab salad is fresh some days and not so much on others I don't like going to the bathroom here because I always feel like something is going to jump out at me Thr service is typically good but its better to order everything at once because they're typically under staffed and over seated

Yelp
I've been to Crave a handful of times, and the most recent was last night. Went with a friend and we ordered their garden salad, chicken wings, and crave fried rice. The chicken wings were not that great; tasted soggy, and they weren't even properly heated.. felt like they were almost cold ? The garden salad was ok, and the crave fried rice didn't have much flavor, just tasted salty to me. Other times I visited it wasn't too bad, but last night the the ambience and food just seemed off... To be fair it seemed like the restaurant was short staffed, but the food was still not good.

Yelp
Yummy fries and fried chicken, casual spot where I got my first dinner together with my roommates and talked about how hard I was crushing on my to-be first boyfriend (now ex LOL).

Yelp
My favorite Korean fried chicken spot! Chicken is always consistently good. Really great selection of food! Street parking is available with meters. Chill and good vibes ambiance.

Yelp
Years later, I still have the same opinion about Crave's service. We waited for a long time to get our name down because no one at the front. When we sat down, took a long time to get our order in. When the waitress brought our food out, she was in a hurry so she was running at the same time at putting our food down at the table, so no interaction, no eyes contact, she left the food at the outer table and ran to her next thing. Same thing with all the 3 times our food came out. Didn't ask what else we needed. I stood up and walked around to look for more napkin myself because no one was around. Then when she finally showed up, I had to ask twice for it. Not her fault, but it is just a broken business process!!! it was a busy night and I saw only one waitress.

Yelp
Crave is a hit or miss, depending on if you eat in or take out. When I've eaten in a few times, I've really enjoyed the meals, but when I got take out, it was less than impressive. Their fries are really good, and so are their wings.

Kristy S.

Yelp
It's a bit warm inside and I think there's one server for lunch. I ordered the spicy wings with passion fruit mojito and baby octopus salad. The octopus tasted fishy and slimy but slightly crunchy. I wasn't a big fan of it. It's on a bed of arugula and seaweed. That was ok. The wings had the perfect amount of spiciness and crunch. The passion fruit mojito was good. Overall a good lunch. I wanted blood clams and oysters too but they were out of it.

Yelp
Overall rating: 1.5 stars Food: the chicken was the only redeeming thing about this place Texture: crispy and spicy, the spot in Boston for spicy Korean style chicken Pricing: $40 for 15 tender pieces and fries Ambiance: a bit messy but spacious Seating & Parking: no parking out front but there were a lot if seating options the bar area was used as a storage area though The seat's material or leather was torn and the stuffing was popping out Service: extremely rude, waitress acted like she was better than us, didn't bother to smile, greeted us with "whatchu want" Music: k pop, c pop Bathrooms: male and female bathrooms Final comments: good chicken HORRIBLE attitude from host and waitress, seats and chairs have seen some things, drinks we're good either

Yelp
I've been to Crave a bunch over the years- sometimes its a five-star, sometimes its a one star. You never know which Crave you're going to get! The pick up process was not-so-fun chaos, no real line many people trying to get to the front. Wish that was more organized. Food was soggy and cold which means the pick up time they gave us wasn't very accurate. After a few minutes in the air fryer, we were ready to eat...we ordered a 16 piece wings and drumstick combo and truffle fries. You get a choice of six sauces- we chose their spiciest and the garlic soy (mild spice). We only got ONE banchan- no daikon or kimchi. That was disappointing. The soy garlic tasted like nothing- skin was crispy. The spicy tasty had good flavor, but was more mild than I expected. The wings and drumsticks were all on the small size. Truffle fries were the highlight- weird. All this for $40 bucks- which i didn't think was a good value. I recently ordered a family combo at Bonchon (a chain yes- but a tasty one!) that was similarly priced with more chicken and sides plus fried rice. I might just wait until post-pandemic to hit up Crave again!

Yelp
I have been coming to this restaurant since it first opened. I have yet found another Korean fried chicken that tastes this crispy and on point with the sauce. I have compared them with other Korean fried chicken joints and their chicken always have perfect amount of seasoning and not too much sauce and lose the crispiness. The salmon dumplings and truffle fries never fail as well. I also love their maki selections. Not only they all have creative names but they also taste yummy and have a generous portion and perfectly made rice with the right balance of softness and vinegar tastem.

Yelp
A Japanese Korean restaurant in Chinatown ... and it's delicious! Food I've tried: - OKONOMIYAKI ($16): pillowy chewy pancake, with the right amount of oil, and a touch of sweetness. The fishy flavor of the dancing bonito flakes was balanced with just the right amount of mayo and okonomi sauce. The price and portion suggests it to be more than an appetizer, as the size was pretty hefty. - EEL FRIED RICE ($20): exactly as the name implies, a generous cut of eel atop a generous portion of fried rice. The eel was a pretty standard barbequed eel flavor, and pretty standard freshness. The rice was surprisingly well executed, all the seasoning complementing the seasoning of the rice. For a person with low salt tolerance, it was slightly on the saltier side but still very good. - MEDIUM COMBO (10 WINGS + 4 DRUMS, 1/2 MAD + 1/2 ANGRY) ($25.50): one of the best executed fried chicken places in Boston. The skin is nice and crispy, and there is the right amount of sauce coating it. The meat was not dry at all, and appropriately marinated. As someone who loves spicy, I though the spiciness level of ANGRY was appropriate and not too overwhelming. There is a sweetness that balances the spicy kick. I am looking forward to trying the next level of heat when I return. Atmosphere: - Pretty spacious seating. When I visited, the restaurant was quite empty. - Standard dining experience and decor. Service: - The staff were friendly, and we got our food relatively quick. Overall: - Very fair portion for the price. Honestly, between two people we had a lot of leftover food after ordering the above. Well executed flavors with great balance.

Yelp
Food presentation is always on point. The menu is large and all of the items are great (seriously, I've never ordered anything that tasted bad). Favorites: Truffle Fries Salmon Dumplings Sushi Pancake Crave the New Black Fried Oysters Furious Wings ...the list goes on and on

Matt L.

Yelp
During COVID, this place is still open for pick up and delivery via Uber eats! I decided to try Kimchi fried rice, rabboki, and 18 wings (mild and angry garlic). Wow this meal was definitely fresh and hot, considering we did delivery. I was very impressed with the amount of food split between three people (probably around $20-25 per person depending on what is ordered). The kimchi fried rice was probably my favorite as the rice was flavorful. Fried chicken was the same as my last visit a few months ago and I believe is still one of the most popular things to order from the restaurant. Overall, crave is a great place to do takeout during this time if you're craving some korean food during COVID in Chinatown!

Yelp
Charge Fraud!! Be careful when dining here. I was here for a birthday celebration with two other friends last Thursday (2/2). Two of us came in at around 3:45pm and the last person came a bit later. The restaurant was empty. There were two or three other tables dining while I was there. The food was ok but the waitress kept forgetting our items. It took a while for us to flag her down for the items we ordered. We ordered a Large Wings, a Bulgogi stew, and a portion of rice to eat there. One person in our party wanted food to go which was the truffle fries and the medium wings. We requested the to-go food on a separate bill but I guess they didn't do that. Which is fine, I didn't mind calculating the difference. I was lucky enough to have taken a photo of the bill to split the cost difference because they never brought back the original receipt!! The restaurant completely charged me a different amount than I was billed!! As a former service worker myself, I understand that tipping is how we generate our income and I would usually tip 18-20% at minimum anyway. It feels weird to refute a tipping charge. However, to charge me a different amount than what I was originally billed, for a table of three btw, is absolutely fraud!!

Yelp
Crave-Mad for Chicken...known for their Korean fried chicken yet my favorite dishes from here don't have any chicken in them whatsoever. Crave is a pretty cool joint in Boston's Chinatown that puts together a trendy menu with creative food and drinks. Delicious drinks + tasty food = great place to eat and drink with a group of friends. We loved the salmon dumplings! So much so that we ordered them twice. You can get this dish with salmon or tuna and it's a play on xiao long bao (soup dumplings). The raw salmon is stuffed with crab and mango and shaped into a dumpling and served on a spoon with some of their sauce. They're fun to eat but the dish will be gone within seconds. We also liked the sushi pancake which is more like a sushi pizza with the way it's cut and served. I get why it's called a pancake though because it's actually a fried crispy rice pancake with a bunch of sushi ingredients on top. The hotate hokkaiyaki was another cool dish that we tried. The presentation is super fun because a mixture of scallop with crabmeat, mushrooms, and scallions are served on a scallop shell and it comes out sizzling on top of a fire. As for the Korean fried chicken wings, the first time we came here we didn't care for them too much. We got half spicy and half non-spicy wings but I thought the chicken was a bit on the dry side. I was expecting juicy and tender as they boast they make perfect fried chicken but they left much to be desired. Maybe they were having an off day in the kitchen because we came back to give them another try and the chicken was delicious! It was actually tender and the flavor of the spicy garlic was tasty. Non-greasy fried chicken? I'm in! Overall Crave always provides a really fun meal for us and we were able to enjoy a few drinks as well. We shared a large sized "The Mason" amongst 4 people which was a LOT of drank. We've also tried the lychee sangria and got a pitcher to share and it was sooooo delicious. I definitely recommend this place.

Daniel K.

Yelp
BAD FOOD! If you're Korean, I wouldn't recommend going here. I got the tteokbokki and Budae Jungol and they tasted like buffalo sauce or tabasco. Would not recommend coming back here again.

Basma S.

Yelp
This review is for delivery. I love their combo pack of fried chicken. I usually mix it up with the soy garlic sauce (tangy) and the spicy sauce (not kidding spicy). So crunchy, so juicy. I haven't tried anything else on the menu except the pancakes which were not worth the trouble. Once 3 or4 times I got a not so crispy batch. And you can't fix it. But when it comes right it so good.

Jessica D.

Yelp
Being from Orange County, CA there are plenty of Korean restaurants that we are so blessed to have around us with many options to choose from. That being said, this seemingly isn't too bad for what it is. It got pretty crowded on a Monday night and there seemed to be only one server when we first got there. Then we noticed new faces working as more customers came because it clearly got randomly busy. Service was pretty slow and our first round of drinks came out later than the apps we ordered. Second round of drinks, we all ordered the same thing but they all came out looking different. Mine was the most evident that it was an entirely different drink or made a completely different way because the color of the first round was straight clear and then the second one was yellow. I let the server who brought it out the second time know that this looked different and she smiled and said 'this one is probably better because I made it' lol which is fine but why are the drinks not consistently made throughout the whole restaurant.. For food, we got the okonomiyaki, salmon dumplings, fried jalapenos, soy wings, and the spicy soy wings. Everything was not bad, but just ok. The wings were crunchy but I kinda got over the batter after like 3 wings. I'm definitely being generous from 3 stars just because I know it's a lot more limited in choices around here than what I'd have back home.

James T.

Yelp
Decent service and decent food. Enough space to host a birthday party but small enough for drinks after work and some goodddd fried chicken. A lot of my friends enjoy their truffle fries as well.

Jen M.

Yelp
Very large food portions but service was lacking. The servers were nice but they forgot drinks and food that we ordered and it was hard to flag a waiter down. In terms of food, we got 3 types of fried rice and fried chicken. The drumsticks were much better than the wings and the fried rice were good too.

Katherine W.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times and can always count on eating delicious crispy Korean chicken. The menu is pretty expansive, though, so I admit I haven't tried some items (like the sushi). What I will say is that spicy means SPICY. If you have a medium to low spice tolerance, please do not choose the "Angry" or "Furious" sauce levels! (Same goes for the bibimbap--the sauce is truly very spicy.) Other than the chicken, the cocktails are pretty top notch. I've tried the Lychee Sangria and Chocolate Monkey and enjoyed them both. As a lychee enthusiast, I'm happy about the large variety of lychee cocktail options. The one thing I'd note is that the atmosphere isn't that nice, at least not when I've been here... Compared to other Asian restaurants that serve drinks/cocktails, Crave Mad is really dark and undecorated, and certain employees like the sushi chefs look sad

Nicole C.

Yelp
Truffle fries were SOO good. Chicken was ok, not the crispiest and I didn't like the sauce too much. It didn't even come w pickled radishes or anything. Mad expensive for what u get

Ngoc M.

Yelp
We came in with 9 people and ordered quite a lot of food. The chicken tasted good and crispy. We also ordered kimchi jiggae which was pretty spicy but also good. My favorite was Okonomiyaki, it's delicious. One down side of this restaurant is the waitress. She gave such bad attitude and rolled her eyes when we asked for some napkins. The other servers are great beside this girl.

White B.

Yelp
We went there today with my family. This is the third time we ate here and we ordered two appetizers and three main foods for my parent and for me and my fiancé. But one appetizer came out and then a main entree food came out. Then another appetizer came out. Me and my fiancé had almost finished our food but our parent's food hasn't even come out yet. We shared some soy garlic flavored Chicken wings, but they were too salty and felt very oily. Our Stir fried rice cake was salty as well and taste kinda weird and stale. Only the seafood soup my parents got was good. We had asked for less spicy and the guy told us usually it is not spicy at all. But it was too spicy when we tried it, so my mom could not eat it. My dad felt the same way,and he usually can tolerate spicy food. The service is always bad every time we go there. None of the servers were friendly. The environment felt inappropriate for a family meal because the girl working there wore such a short pant and short t-shirt like she was wearing a bikini to work at the restaurant.

Vivian C.

Yelp
Their chicken was not as finger licking good as Bon Chon's although they had a nice crisp. On average, the friends who enjoy spicy food tended to prefer the soy garlic "Mad" sauce over the spicy garlic "Angry." We were more satisfied with the salads and Crave's sushi than with the chicken. The salads were agreeably portioned at $6.50 for their seaweed salad, $9.50 for their crabmeat salad. The Crave Sushi Boat landed with a portion of seaweed salad decoratively served in a martini glass with a waterproof color changing light shining within. The sashimi were fresh and the boat's rudder could be moved! August 2014 3 stars *** Crave offers lunch specials, but only for weekdays (11:30am - 2:40pm, except holidays). So, for our weekend lunch visit, we ordered off the regular menu. For the medium size order of their wings or greater, they allow you to split your order between two flavors, so we went with the Mad (soy garlic) and Angry (Spicy Garlic), which was plenty hot for our heat eaters. I was happy with the crispity-crunchiness of the soy garlic wings. Another member of our party inquired about the sides, which were then brought out by the 4 oz cupful. Turns out their sides are only at request, and it wasn't until the bill arrived that we found out we had been charged 50 cents twice for them. Well, at least they didn't charge us for the refills... One DC noted that the spicy wings were preferred here over those at Bonchon, though they are a bit pricier here. I haven't been to Bonchon in a while, so I'll refrain from any comparisons at this time. The Dolsot Bibim Bap $18 with marinated ribeye was plenty of food for a lunch for two lightweights with a few wings tucked in. The beef was well flavored and a good portion, though the stone pot wasn't quite hot enough to crisp up the rice. I also sampled someone else's RaBokki $16, and found out that the chef's sweet and spicy sauce packs a bit too much heat for my taste at normal levels.

Yelp
Update: Updating to 1 star because my friend called after our meal & said they suspect this place gave them food poisoning that night. They think the culprit was their appetizer that had raw fish and veggies. That's the only thing they'd eaten all evening besides the chicken we shared. They also reminded me how they noticed we were missing a side item during our meal, and pointing this out was met with attitude by the server. This place isn't worth the stress and upset stomach! 1/18: I guess we came on a bad day because our group received awful service for no reason. The hostess didn't greet us properly, and the server was forgetful and snarky when politely asked about our order. I got zero refills on water and the wrong entree. The chicken was alright but nothing to write home about. Additionally, my friend says they never answer the phone, so keep that in mind before ordering takeout.

Bruce K.

Yelp
I don't know that I was craving chicken or mad for chicken but they were new to me and their menu included things that would work on my eating program. So I ordered on the Yelp app and the food arrived on time. That's a plus. I started with the sashimi salad. More of a poke with the very small pieces of salmon and tuna and a shrimp on top with a (quail egg?) and it was quite delicious in a light dressing. I'd have this again but bigger as a main course. Main course was the chicken wings, buffalo style. A little more breaded that I'd have liked but the sauce was hot and spicy, the wings dipped well into the included pot of blue cheese dressing and I enjoyed them much. Well packaged and very tasty. I could order from Crave again. [Review 10108 overall, 1694 of 2018.]

Yelp
Overal the food is not too bad here but I think it's definitely overpriced for what you get. The truffle fries were the best item on the menu. My main thing was my group ordered soju bottles (not the sojuice) and were told each bottle was $10-12, but when we got our bill it turned out to be $16 each

Yelp
Good food. Awful service. We were headed to a show and decided to try this place out. The food offerings looked interesting and we decided to try a couple of dishes we've never had before. The dishes were very good and tasty. However, once the food was delivered we never saw the server again. When we were ready for the check, the staff *actively* ignored us, even though my wife was standing at the end of the table to try and get their attention.

Yelp
Went to this place because me and my friends were craving fried chicken. The appetizers were unique and well plated, but the flavors were eh. The flavors didn't mix well. The chicken was well cooked and not dry, but it was not that crispy. The outside could've been crispier. The food for me and my party did not come out at the same time and while we waited for everyone's dishes to come out, some went cold ._.

Yelp
A very busy restaurant that has pretty good food but we believe they didn't filter their tap water before serving to customers.. Food was great, soju was great, the wait time was bearable because there was seating to chill at and it was pretty clean. Super loud in here but that's alright. We had some bad tummy aches during the night after dinner possibly due to the water here... Oh well. Not coming back here.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant to go to for group events, such as birthday celebrations or any type of group setting. You should definitely make a reservation ahead of time because there will always be a long wait if you're coming on a weekend night. They will only seat you if your entire party has arrived as well, so make sure you get all your friends to come on time. As for parking, it's basically your typical Chinatown restaurant where you'd probably spend at least 10-15 minutes looking for street parking on a busy weekend night, but sometimes you're lucky and you find parking right in front of across the street. One of the reasons why this a good place for group settings because it's a pretty spacious restaurant, and you can order the large mason jars; last time my friends and I came here, 3 mason jars were ordered for a table of 12 and it was enough to get everyone pretty buzzed. Most of the food here are good for sharing as well, especially the appetizers and the chicken options. I'm honestly not a fan of fried chicken like that so whenever I come to crave, I order sushi. My favorite appetizers include the sushi pizza which is pretty genius, truffle fries, and hotate hokkaiyaki. My friends love the Jalapeno bombs if you like Jalapenos and the spicy seafood salad is pretty good as well. If I'm not with a large group settings, I'd order the salmon dumplings which are SO BOMB; it only comes with four spoons of dumplings that's why. For entrees, besides chicken, my friends would order toppoki and kimchi fried rice. I'm not a huge fan of spicy food, but these are definitely a must when you're here. The chicken is pretty standard, but it will definitely take them awhile to prepare the chicken for you so they'd usually ask you for your chicken order first since it can take up to half an hour to come out. Sushi wise, my favorite rolls are crave the new black and the governor. Honestly, when you first look at their special maki menu, it can be overwhelming, but just ask the servers for recommendations if you're conflicted and they'd for sure be able to tell you which one are the favorites amongst the servers and customers.

Yelp
This review is for delivery. The fried chicken holds up well even if you do delivery, it still came nice and crispy, but BonChon's chicken is slightly better. We ordered a bunch of wings and picked 2 flavors of sauces- mad (soy garlic and angry (spicy garlic). If you are brave, you can go for furious (extra spicy garlic), but I would proceed with caution. The spicy garlic sauce was very very spicy, luckily I had watermelon in the refrigerator, but it still hurt. Even my friend who had a high tolerance for spicy food, found the spicy garlic pretty spicy. I would not get the extra spicy garlic, unless you have an excellent tolerance for spicy foods. Note: do not touch your eyes when eating these hot wings! The wings came with the usual sides- cucumber with jalapeno, daikon and some sort of corn coleslaw. I didn't really care for the corn. The daikon was ok. I didn't eat the cucumber salad because of the jalapenos in it- my mouth was already on fire! If you've never had Korean fried chicken before, I suggest giving it a try!

Yelp
This was my first time at Crave and the reviews are not wrong - the chicken is delicious! We tried the soy garlic and the angry (spicy garlic) - my favorite being the soy only because the angry was a little spicy for me (not overly hot, but I couldn't eat more than one drumstick, and trust me you're going to want to eat more than one!) We also tried the kimchi pancake, truffle fries, salt and pepper calamari, and a veggie dish with glass noodles. The noodles were my favorite of the sides and the truffle fries a close second. The service was quick, friendly and attentive so absolutely no complaints there. Although the chicken does take a while to cook so I recommend making that decision early so you can munch on some appetizers while you wait. Overall I had a great experience at Crave and I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
I've been here multiple times and I am disappointed with this restaurant. Their service is terrible! I always wait at least 10 minutes for a host. During my most recent visit, the host was very rude and unwelcoming. Her friend visited her while she was clocked in and she spent 10 minutes talking to her rather than seating customers even after she made eye contact with us. When we got seated, we waited another 10 minutes for the server to greet us. We ordered our food and it took almost an hour even though the restaurant was basically empty. On weekdays, they offer lunch specials. We ordered two chicken lunch specials and one crave sushi special - shrimp tempura and spicy crab meat. Although the restaurant was empty, the chicken and fries were overcooked. The sushi was ok, though, I've had better elsewhere.

Yelp
The nearest Turks to home! Their store has just the right amount of space for diners as they serve food that's mostly consumed on-the-go. For in-store diners, they have adequate seating, good lighting and a nice view specially during late afternoons. Food, as always, are served hot and fresh and the crew are also friendly.

Yelp
So people were saying this was better than the competition and I had to check it out. They're known for their Korean fried chicken where they double fry the wings. I decided to get the 8 piece wings with spicy garlic flavor. It had the perfect spice to it but I could've handled the next extra spicy level up-- I think. The batter was perfect and crispy just the way I like it. 8 pieces were more than enough for me. I also ordered one of their cocktails which was ok, too fruity and weak for me. My friend ordered baby octopus seaweed salad which were okay; the baby octopi with the heads attached is not my thing. My husband ordered the regular garlic flavor boneless wings which he didn't like, he said it was bland but he liked my choose better. Overall, I think it's similar to the competition but not better. I would love to try their other flavors but I'm glad to be able to experience this! The restaurant was pretty big with plenty of seats.

Yelp
The chicken and waffles here is excellent! The chicken is nice and crispy, but also very juicy on the inside. The flavor is so good! The waffle is nice and fluffy and the syrup is scrumptious. What I love about this place is that they know how to package the dish properly so that everything remains at the right temperature when it arrives. Nothing gets soggy on the way. I highly recommend Crave for the fried chicken and waffle dish. I may have to get some tonight!

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night for dinner and was glad I chose this place! The staff here is extremely friendly and it has a really nice vibe. If you're looking for a delicious drink, DEFINITELY get the Brooklyn. You won't regret it! I also got the truffle fries and calamari as a starter. If you wanted to only choose one, I'd say get the truffle fries. It was perfectly seasoned and the perfect amount of crispiness. For my entree, I ordered the crave fried rice- Very flavorful!! If you're looking for a rice dish, I'd highly recommend this as well!

Yelp
I come here pretty often and the experience is always variable depending on how many people are in my party. We came in with a group of 10 (anything above a party of 14 requires a price per head minimum by the way!) on a Monday night and we were seated with a reservation right on time. The waitress took our order pretty quickly and our 2 fried combos as well as the fish bowl (very strong Malibu flavor) came out promptly but the chicken took a bit, which is understandable as it takes a while to make. After the wings arrived though, service was hard to flag down. We wanted radish on the side (something that you have to ask for if you want it served) and it took a few attempts to get someone's attention as they seemed to cater to those around us and not so much large parties. This is a trend I've noticed as I've been here with parties ranging from 2 to 12 people and the larger it is, the less responsive they are. Crave is my favorite Korean fried chicken place taste-wise and due to its central location, but the service is always inconsistent.

Yelp
This restaurant often has many people waiting in line, so the people worked there doesn't care about losing customers. I have found that the chicken winds I ordered from here are all drumettes or sometimes they will place 1 wingette in my order. This restaurant used to place half drumettes and half wingettes in an order just like what other wing restaurants do. So after a few times, I asked them to make my order half drumettes and half wingettes, the front desk told me I had to pay $2 extra and they would make sure I have all wingettes in my order. I told the front desk I was not going to pay extra to get what I was supposed to get. And the front desk told me ok then, I will "try my best" to let the kitchen know your request. As you can see from the picture, I got 1 wingette and the rest are drumettes. A very hard try, indeed.
