Google
Cute place, they have a great coffee machine. Open kitchen so you can see everything what’s going on in the kitchen, super clean. Nice and efficient stuffs. They make their cupcake fresh. Cake sponge texture is very soft and flavorful. However the icing is too sweet for my taste.

Joelanda L.

Google
Crave Cupcakes taste amazing, the glass cupcake showcases that allow you to see how deliciously displayed and clean everything is reassuring. They offer an array of different flavors and I always find it difficult to choose—but by far, I’m obsessed with the Dubai Chocolate flavored cupcake and will going back for it again soon!

HtownQueen

Google
I love Craves cupcakes. My favorites are the chocolate with white icing, cookies and cream, lemon, red velvet. and wedding cake. Their Dubai chocolate was amazing. Every year during rodeo they have a cotton candy cupcake that I enjoy. I just hate that their cupcakes dont freeze well.

Google
gourmet cupcakes. A variety of upscale cupcakes. From gluten free, sugar free and vegan options to more decadent options. The salted caramel and cookies and cream are my choices. Friendly staff will help you choose and box it up for you. There are a few tables and chairs outside but you’re probably taking it home to celebrate later. Decent parking, but uptown can get busy.

I love love love their cupcakes. Very fresh and flavorful. Their creams are really flavourful. We tried: 1. Dark chocolate 5/5 - the taste is not actually like dark chocolate but I loved it. 2. Italian cream 5/5 It's a very cute place. They dog treats too.

Google
Loving the vegan options at Crave. After going for so many years with just one vegan flavour, I'm so delighted that they are embracing and including different dietary preferences. Way to go, Crave. We'll return soon for our sugar fix 😉

Google
The cupcake was delicious. I ordered the salted caramel I enjoyed it. But I did noticed In another display case the lemon bars had a fly stuck on it. They didn’t have any extra in the back and the worker was very nonchalant about it.

Google
Beautiful clear display of cupcakes. Clean and neat interior. It is an inviting vibe. They have large selection of different flavors for everyone. I had the confetti, salted caramel, and vanilla cupcakes. The bases of the 3 cupcakes are the same. The icing on top of the cupcakes were a little too sweet for me. However, I prefer the salted caramel one because of the contrast of sweet and salt, also there was a small amount of caramel injected in the middle of the cupcake base. I will go back to try other flavors like the dark chocolate to see if there will be surprise inside.

Yelp
Yesterday I was on a mission. I got a text on my way to my doc appointment, notifying me of the Dubai Chocolate cupcake at CRAVE. Here's some background. I used to patronize CRAVE weekly when they first opened. CRAVE and the old location of Dessert Gallery on Post Oak were my sweet treat playgrounds. But over time, as the expensive cupcake trend has grown and I come into the city less, CRAVE and I have grown apart. But it's the texts that sometimes pique my interest and bring us back together. Yesterday was such a day. So boom, I finish running my Galleria errands. I successfully find a parking spot in the back of Uptown Park, finally. I walk in. CRAVE is packed. I get in line, coincidentally right in front of where the Dubai cupcakes are staged. I watch as a baker gingerly places one, then two, then four of the five remaining in a box. But alas, there's one left. And then, the gentleman in front of me requests it. Heartbroken after my day of fasting and looking forward to my last treat before a Whole 30 month, I sadly have to pivot my order. I chose the Skinny strawberry. I mentioned to the gentleman that he crushed my cupcake dreams. My attendant told me the cupcake was sold out, but just as I pulled up my cashapp to pay, another angelic attendant came to the counter and revealed there were more Dubai cupcakes on the way. Hooray! Enough storytime. I got the cupcake and noticed a lone wedding cake cupcake too. I'm enamored by almond flavored treats, so I grabbed that too. Here are my thoughts. The Dubai is different. It's unique. I've never been a fan of CRAVE's chocolate. It used to give me headaches. This has smooth dark chocolate that's not overpowering. It's a adorned by crushed pistachios (see pic). Inside there is a pistachio filling with some kind of cream, not caramel, but something delicious. It was a nice treat - worth the wait. I'll try lt again next year. The wedding cake was below average for wedding cake. The flavor seemed to be only present in the icing. But the cupcakes were both beautiful. They made for a nice final treat before my month long journey into wellness. As always, I appreciate CRAVE offering utensils so I can enjoy small bites on my way home. CRAVE, join inKind!

Yelp
Crave Cupcakes is one of my favorite places for a sweet treat. They offer a wide range of cupcake flavors, including both classics and unique, seasonal creations. Every cupcake I've tried has been incredibly soft, moist, and full of flavor -- clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. My personal favorite is the Wedding Cake cupcake, which I always seem to come back to. It's rich, delicious, and consistently satisfying. I also enjoy branching out and trying their specialty flavors when available. Plus, they offer cookies that are just as tasty as the cupcakes. One great way to try Crave on a budget is through Too Good To Go. The box is made up of cupcakes from the previous day, but in my experience, they're still just as fresh and delicious. You don't get to choose the flavors -- it's a surprise mix -- but that just adds to the fun if you're open to trying new ones. Prices are what you'd expect from a high-quality bakery, but the taste and consistency make it well worth it. I'll definitely continue coming back!

Yelp
I have been going to this location for years and have yet to make a review. I love crave! The staff is always really kind and the storefront is always clean. They answer their phones which I love and once I needed a last minute order for a bday and they made my order before closing and stayed open a few minutes for me to grab it. Customer service is great! Their flavors are always solid and I like the vanilla, red velvet and strawberry especially. Keep it up! I'll continue to be a loyal taster

Yelp
Got a great deal on toogoodtogo. Four cupcakes for like 6 bucks. What Great deal! The cupcakes were great! Full of flavor and very tasty and moist. The customer service was great too. I'll def come back as a real client and continue to use toogoodtogo app. Great deal! I'll be back soon.

Yelp
I recently visited Crave in the Uptown area near the Galleria, and the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. The location is beautifully set within one of Houston's most polished districts, giving the shop an elegant and inviting atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The staff was exceptionally professional, warm, and attentive, making me feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of throughout my visit. Each cupcake I tried was meticulously crafted--jampacked with rich flavor, balanced sweetness, and a velvety icing that tied everything together seamlessly. The textures and taste showcased a level of quality and dedication that truly elevates their cupcakes above the rest. Their variety is impressive without being overwhelming, offering a curated selection that shows real culinary intention. Crave is absolutely worth a try if you're in the Uptown area and craving a premium cupcake experience done with care and consistency.

Yelp
You canNOT go wrong with Crave Cupcakes near the Houston Galleria. The cake part is always moist and flavorful but the frosting is my absolute favorite! The staff are always kind and helpful. If they recommend a flavor, trust them, they know their cupcakes. The location is so convenient and the space is adorable, bright, and welcoming. #HappyEating

Yelp
What a delightful name for this store! The cupcakes here are amazing, and you'll crave them! They strike the right balance--not too sweet, and the icing-to-cupcake ratio is spot on!
google avatar

Kathryn W.

Yelp
They have different options for diet restrictions and they taste very fresh, we typically go for birthday celebrations.

Yelp
I got 2 007 chocolate cupcakes (gluten free, low carb & low sugar) and they were delicious! I appreciate that were gluten free options! The mini cupcakes are only available for pre order, but definitely will be getting those next time :)

Yelp
Judge me if you wish, but Crave and I have had a pretty rocky relationship. It took 3 trips to this location to snag my desired cupcakes. The first, I'll blame on a certain unnamed internet browser citing incorrect store hours. Arriving a cool 30 minutes after close, I left with my tail between my legs and my candy coated dreams crushed...until I realized that Van Leewen was next door :). The second snag was on me. As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm, and in this case if you arrive to the location on a Friday, 30 minutes prior to close, you will not get the cupcake (well maybe if you're a fan of gluten free vanilla, but otherwise good luck.) Anyways, this particular location far from my home base, I'm glad I gave them a third try. I've previously dismissed Crave as overhyped and commercially acceptable, but you live and you learn, and as I was gently reminded by a coworker, it's all in what you choose. While I still can't stand for the lower calorie strawberries and cream (I think it's a the texture of the cake I have trouble with), the wedding cake cupcake was an outstanding sub for vanilla and the margarita was sublime (can you tell I just watched the Barbie movie). Both had a light, flavorful crumb, and the icing was spot on (which is saying something because I'm usually not a fan of buttercream and buttercream based frostings). Additionally, the dark chocolate was pretty solid. If I can make it before close, I'll def be back for some treats. The margarita cupcake is only available until May 5 after all!

Yelp
OMG the sugar free cupcake! This cupcake was ridiculously good for a stevia based cake- I tasted stevia , not sure if that's what they use. The nutrition facts come down to 7gCarbs. Next time I want a box of these bad boys!! This place is a breath of fresh air. They have an extensive lift of flavors- coconut, lemon, wedding cake, strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, and carrot. Plus some. There isn't much seating, one table with room for 4, some bar seating. The cupcakes are big without an overkill of cream cheese frosting. Dry cupcakes are the number one reason most places don't gain much traffic so it's really nice to bite into a well balanced, moist cake. Glad I don't live close, I'd be here weekly if I did. Nothing like ending a tough week with a perfect cupcake. The cinnamon drip coffee was good, and the chocolate chip cookies are massive. Have to try that next time I come around.

Yelp
I wasn't much of a fan of cupcakes until CRAVE Cupcakes came into my life. Truth be told, ingesting unremarkable dry grocery store cupcakes with ridiculously sweet icing at a young age kinda ruined my enjoyment of them. However, these jumbo gourmet cupcakes are something else. The frosting is sweet but flavorful too. The cake to frosting ratio is nice, and the daily rotation of flavors inspires one to try a new concoction every time. I love how they also offer a gluten free and vegan option as well. The mini cupcakes are also a nice bite sized option! Great for parties! The plain vanilla bean and white cake option is simple but fabulous. I also enjoy the strawberry flavor as well. The cute packaging and presentation makes these cupcakes a great gift or splurge for yourself. Staff is always friendly. Storefront is bright and clean. Parking is plentiful at this location.

Yelp
Received this mini dozen for my birthday from my team. So far I've only tried the chocolate with cheesecake icing and it's my favorite. Crave never disappoints & usually has friendly service.
google avatar

Chantel C.

Yelp
Stopped in for a sweet treat! They were almost out of cupcakes as it was close to closing, but I was able to snag 1. The staff was veey friendlyand tokd me all about their summertime flavors, but I chose the salted caramel cupcake. To me, it's the perfect blend of a summer sunset and a fall morning. Just gives you all the feels. Moist and the right amount of sweetness.
google avatar

Sherika F.

Yelp
The lady behind the counter had such a great and very welcoming personality . I was greeted immediately as I walked through the door. I ordered the red velvet and salted caramel cupcake. Both the red velvet and salted caramel were delicious. FYI- The frosting is extremely sweet, other than that I'll return again just to order both flavors.
google avatar

Zo M.

Yelp
This location has some delicious cupcakes .Have been here a few times for their signature vanilla nd strawberry ones. Sometimes, the frosting is a little too sweet for me However, it won't stop me to come by for a little treat every once in a while.
google avatar

Kristin J.

Yelp
I absolutely loved getting to try these two new summer flavors! They were phenomenal. I hope crave ends up making them part of their main collection at some point. I love this location as well! The people are so helpful and the store is very clean.

Yelp
Crave never disappoints! The cupcakes are always fresh and perfectly. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The shop is cute and the staff is always welcoming.

Yelp
Got 4 cupcakes 2 chocolate and 2 vanilla. Decently flavored a little dry. I dont think they are very worth it for the price.

Yelp
omg I had the rudest lady take my order just now ....need better training all because I said bring Italian cake back.
google avatar

Andrew W.

Yelp
Been here more than couple times for my delivery service and I got to try for the first time today! I got a strawberry cupcake with cream etc The staff told me that half sugar less compared to just strawberry cupcakes but it was still very sweet to my mounts. Perhaps that's great for sweet tooth peep but twas still too much for me. Maybe goes well with coffee or tea but I had it independently. But for sure they are doing great job visually tho! I like it and maybe little less sugar will be appreciated Come for those who have sweet teeth Cheers

Yelp
1-10 I rate this place a 6 out of 10... cupcake looks nice, shop is beautiful. But the cupcakes were kind of dry. Not super dry but for what I thought it was going to be I was disappointed. Did not expect it to taste that mediocre... I can see why I don't think about eating cupcakes anymore.

Yelp
Honestly these are probably the best cupcakes I had in Houston , I tried one of the red velvet before and I had to come back for more they were honestly amazing ! This time I had the rodeo bourbon and omg ! It is probably my new favorite! It is only for adults as it tastes a lot like alcohol, we also had the lemon cupcake and it doesn't taste like artificial food colluding at all , we honestly loved them , the service was amazing too and the ambiance is quiet they have chairs outside so you can enjoy your cupcakes and drinks , so overall 5/5 ! Totally loved these !
google avatar

Alana S.

Yelp
These cupcakes are awesome! The cake is super moist and the icing is rich and flavorful. I got the skinny strawberry cupcake and the dark chocolate cupcake. I was scared that the skinny strawberry would taste funny because it is a healthier cupcake, however, it was amazing and I wouldn't have been able to tell it was meant to be healthier. The dark chocolate was amazing as well. It was the perfect balance of flavors and not too sweet!

Yelp
I am here to pick up a Schuyler delivery at 930 am the workers won't answer my repeated calls. Now I am going to be late. Scheduled pick up 930am. It's 958 am. The workers won't acknowledge me at the glass doors nor will they pick up my repeated calls. Unprofessional and rude.

Yelp
We've been fans of Crave Cupcakes from the first bite. Straightforward yet reliably delicious, they stand out with creative flavors that keep us coming back. These cupcakes are perfect for special occasions and never fail to impress clients and out-of-state visitors, winning their hearts every time. Their packaging and presentation are top-notch, making them my go-to gift for clients. The shop itself is minimalist, but it's a well-organized and meticulously thought-out operation. Crave Cupcakes isn't just a bakery; it's a testament to how simplicity and creativity can create something truly delectable.

Cynthia A.

Yelp
Unfriendly service and not a lot of variety. The older lady with brown hair did not make us feel welcome and I felt like I was ruining her day by asking simple questions.
google avatar

Lola O.

Yelp
Tried crave cupcakes at last. The façade was certainly a looker and easily invites you in. It's an open kitchen so you can see the whole operation, and even then it's quite pleasant to look at. Had an oreo cupcake, which was beautiful - service was quick, for a total of $4.25+tax. I really appreciated the packaging - the holder makes sure there's no oopsies; great idea Crave. The taste is where it falls short for me - I was quite disappointed. It was a bit dry, no moisture whatsoever. The minis might be better, but having to get a dozen is quite a lot. I did really enjoy the oreo bits in the cake and how it carries over to thee frosting. ...till next taste

Yelp
I literally go everyday! I love this location everyone is amazing! They definitely should know me by name now! It's part of my day to stop here love the treats.

Yelp
I'll be honest with you, I've yet to find a cupcake place in Houston that I actually like. On second thought, there used to be a place over in Town & Country called Ooh La La and they absolutely devastated me by closing. Anyway. Crave. I do not crave the Crave cupcakes. I respect that the strawberry is ACTUAL strawberry and not the fake stuff (but tbh... I like that fake stuff), but the texture is just not great (kinda dry??) and the icing is--and I cannot stress this enough--horrible. And I LOVE all icing/frosting, my sweet tooth is wild and I have the dental records to prove it. Crave's icing is overly sweet, grainy, and it dries out a bunch as they wait for someone to buy them. So the cake itself is fine I GUESS, but do yourself a favor and scrape the icing off. Or, do yourself an even better favor and instead of spending $4 on one middling cupcake and take your craving over to HEB.
google avatar

Samantha G.

Yelp
Best cupcakes you can EVER buy! Great customer service! So many to choose from. They are worth trying. You will not be disappointed!
google avatar

Shelley R.

Yelp
I thought the cupcakes I had here were some of the best cupcakes I've ever had! They had a wide variety of flavors that all sounded soo good! I tried the tiramisu, dark chocolate, and red velvet and they were all amazing!! Worth the visit!
google avatar

Mel N.

Yelp
I have been coming here for YEARS. 13 to be exact. Probably the best cupcakes I ever had in my life, but that's my preference. I've tried pretty much every flavor, and my absolute favorites are the dark chocolate and strawberry. The strawberry has real pieces of strawberry mixed into the cake with no artificial dyes! It's so pretty. They used to have a chocolate on vanilla flavor but took it out and now have old fashioned birthday cake, which is a yellow cake with milk chocolate frosting and sprinkles, but it's not the same. Still good though. So sometimes what I do is order a vanilla cupcake and an old fashioned birthday cupcake and switch frosting tops around LOL. The cakes are pretty dense yet moist, not dry at all! The frosting is sweet, but not cloyingly sweet. If you want something that's "not too sweet," probably don't come here. It's a little sweeter but not overpowering. They have their regular flavors of the day and some special flavors that rotate throughout the year. Order accordingly if you want a specific flavor for a specific event as they will only be able to make the flavors offered for that specific day! I really do crave these cupcakes all the time. They aren't cheap but they're worth it! The absolute best.

A A.

Yelp
Very much depends on what item you get, quality and flavor vary widely. The regular red velvet cupcake is amazing, with delicious cream cheese frosting however the vegan version has an odd flavor. The dark chocolate frosting is more like an overly sweet ganache, and the carrot cake has chunky carrots, and is overpowered by cinnamon.
google avatar

Victoria Z.

Yelp
Bootleg sprinkles cupcake store with clumsy service and very mid taste. The people working there were unfocused and forgot half of my order so I had to go back in. Never had that happen at a cake shop before! Like what other reviews have mentioned, the taste was dry and lacking (just like their service). Came here to try their gluten free cupcakes so at least they got variety for different diets, but I would not go there again when in Houston.
google avatar

Bailey R.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I are doing "Vegan January" so I was thrilled to find out that this delicious cupcake bakery offers vegan options! Unfortunately, they only offer one right now (Vegan Red Velvet), but it incredibly tasty! I asked the gentleman behind the counter why they only have one option, which he responded with "the owners are very particular about what they produce and sell so they've only approved this flavor for now as they're working on perfecting additional options". Sounds plausible so I went with it. They are limiting how many people can be inside the store at once (something that I really appreciate as COVID is still running wild) and there is some seating outside if the weather is nice. Also, they have gluten free options for those interested in checking this bakery out but are gluten free. Just a heads up! Friendly staff and tasty treats means we will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks, y'all!
google avatar

CC J.

Yelp
Selection was very limited on what they had available around 2pm versus the flavors I had anticipated trying. I opted for salted caramel, Italian wedding, red velvet, and vanilla. The cupcakes were $4 a pop! I took mine to go. They were very dense and filling and quite delicious! I would say expectations were satisfied... just really wanted to try more flavors like Nutella and key lime. Variety is the spice of life! I left the vanilla and red velvet for my husband. He's pretty plain John and doesn't like to try new flavors... he's not a foodie but appeases my 'CRAVE-ings' for new eateries to check out. **UPDATE: my husband says they are overpriced and dry. He is not a fan at all. Says if I ever go back don't bring him any back LOL. Changed my rating from 4 to 3 after his feedback

jana ..

Yelp
I love Crave cupcakes. The staff always greets you and are very patient when you change your mind or can't make a choice. Love their chai tea. If you can't decide, vanilla is always delicious as is the choc iced bday cake!
google avatar

Tranika T.

Yelp
My first visiting this location. The sweet smell hits you as soon as you walk through the doors. Very clean and I was helped immediately upon entering. I visited as a YELP Elite perk (we were given one free cupcake). I let my daughter choose and she picked the red velvet! I would love to visit again to try their vegan and gluten-free options! They also have tables located right outside the entrance to sit down and enjoy your cupcake.

Cynthia C.

Yelp
Delicious yummy variety of Cupcakes, pleasant clean place ! I like to share them with my friends with morning coffee!
google avatar

Laura R.

Yelp
These cupcakes are my favorite when I visit Houston. Last time I visited the Mardi Gras cupcake was featured and it was one of the best cupcakes I've ever had. I've never been disappointed with my choices here. You can't go wrong with your selection.
google avatar

Jana T.

Yelp
This is my second visit to this location in the last year. This will be my last to ever patronize Crave Cupcakes. Their baked items are always dried out, not fresh, no variety, and the service is unfriendly at best. For the prices they charge, this is unacceptable. You are better off going to HEB or any other grocery store for that matter. Disappointing.
google avatar

Hana C.

Yelp
I went in intending to try the pecan pie cupcake but they were unfortunately out of stock so I was recommended by the girls there to try the vegan pumpkin spice cupcake. Omg it was literally AMAZING I don't eat vegan desserts bc I expect them to be weird dry and brittle. You cannot tell the difference with this one!! So moist and flavorful but not too dense and sugary! Will definitely be back to hopefully try more of their seasonal cupcakes

Melissa N.

Yelp
I decided to go out of my way to enjoy some cupcakes as an early birthday gift to myself. It was definitely a detour, but there isn't one near my side of town. It was a rainy day and there wasn't any parking in front of the store. They're next to an ice cream parlor and a restaurant so parking is limited. They were pretty steady but had a decent amount of staff out ready for orders. There were many flavors and this time there were actually quite a few cupcakes still available. I've gone to the one off Kirby and most flavors were gone mid day. This location had numerous Christmas flavors, vegan, and gluten options. They even had an alcoholic cupcake that was for adults only. They now make cookies, pound cakes, breads and other desserts. They used to bake dog treats but I'm not sure if they do anymore. They also have coffee options available. Our cupcakes were good the only problems we encountered were A) the box she placed them in wasn't properly put together and fell apart in the bag. The sides were bent and wouldn't keep shape at all. B) there was a blonde hair in my chocolate cupcake. Which is why I've given them a three star review. It happens but overall the experience was three star status.
google avatar

Santoria M.

Yelp
Ok ... So I have LOVED Crave since they opened at Uptown Park.... BUT they recently removed the chocolate cream cupcake from their menu and I am NOT OK :-(. Their CCC was the BEST on the menu. The Red Velvet cupcake is seriously delicious. The birthday cake is awesome. The lemon cupcake is (chef's kiss) so good and the strawberry is a must add ( to your cupcake box). Thank me later :-)

Yelp
So sweet to be Elite. First YEE of the 20-20-WON, that's right WON, because I WON the ROTD, on the day I decided to attend the YEE to collect my red velvet cupcake, and purchased a chocolate chip cookie. Both pastries seem to melt in your mouth. Gosh how I now craaavve to have CRAVE cookies and cupcakes.

Yelp
TLDR: Curb your cupcake cravings and give them a go! The staff was pleasant and the cupcakes had a good cake/frosting ratio. While mine tended to be a bit on the drier side... I'd still say they were worth a try. Visit: Weekday (morning) Overall Rating: 7.6/10 Order: Salted Caramel- 7.4/10 Loved the caramel drizzle and icing that was complimented by the flakes of salt. The cake had a wonderful caramel filling in the center. Aside from being a little on the dry side, this was satisfying. Red Velvet: 7.4/10 This was a solid red velvet cupcake. Anyone who's a fan of the pairing is going to be happy with it. Again... a bit dry. Strawberry: 7.2/10 While I'm not a huge fan of this flavor, I do commend them for using strawberries in the cake itself and for having a nice (not overly artificial tasting) icing. However, this was the driest of the bunch. On my visit, the staff was friendly and polite. I ended up trying a trio of Salted Caramel, Red Velvet, and Strawberry flavors. All were solid, however they were slightly over baked in my opinion. Maybe that's their style, but I prefer a moist cake. If they had been a little less done, they could easily be bumped up an extra point. That being said, the frosting to cake ratio is on spot on, which for me is a big deal with most cupcakes. They don't overdo the icing and the taste/texture of the sugary topping was perfect.
