Craven Cottage

We purchased Riverside hospitality tickets for the Fulham vs West Ham match for a modest price. The stadium’s location is fantastic; being right by the river makes it very iconic, and the structure of the stadium itself is quite unique. However, since it is next to the river, it can get quite windy, so it is a good idea to dress warmly. As for the Riverside hospitality experience, there is an open buffet with food and desserts before the match, during halftime, and after the match, along with unlimited drinks. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience, and I would definitely like to attend another hospitality event in the future.

This stadium is truly special and offers a unique experience that not many top flight clubs can offer anymore. It’s literally the best experience for professional soccer and situated perfectly right along the Thames river. I personally love the old school style and gives a cozy vibe that makes you feel like you’re around family.

Craven cottage is such a great experience. Fulman football club has to be very proud of it. Quaint not like the Giants stadiums of the larger football teams, but actually a better venue because you can see the players right up close and even here a kick of the ball. The lighting at night is fantastic, vibrant and clear. Exhilaration in the stands from both teams wanting a score adds to the excitement. Plenty of beer and also a very good pizza. I was surprised at the quality it's delicious. There are other food choices as well. Craven cottage even if you are not a Fullham fan, from a tourist perspective as well worth it. The location is excellent along the river. I felt safe walking to the venue. Highly recommended.

Its an absolutely lovely football stadium. Had a lovely tour guide called George. He was very informative and took time to answer everybody's questions. Staff in the reception and shop also very helpful and friendly. Overall a nice experience.

Last time I was here there was no left hand stand. The improvements inside are impressive. Fairly easy to get to with public transport not so much in your own car. A shame they've stopped serving the cottage pie that was a nice bit of food. Disabled away end is now platforms raised and unrestricted viewing. I don't know if it was just for FA Cup but drinks were free for disabled supporters. Good gesture. Not sure about food as already eaten. Very helpful staff once in the stands. Outside not all know where things are which doesn't help when you're sent to a serving hatch for a hot drink that only serves alcohol. Especially when you queue for nearly 15 mins.

Oldest London club and the most intimate stadium with an exceptional atmosphere. Travelling there can be a bit of a pain, however it's very well organised for supporters and non-supporters. Definitely worth a visit if you're a football fan.

Famous English stadium set on the River Thames, has that something about which other grounds lack so much. The recently opened Riverside stand is superb and the stadium pulls of that mix of old and new very well. Of course there is no atmosphere from the home fans but what do you expect for a club like Fulham. A ground we must cherish.

I went to go see the Carabao Cup match with Cambridge United face off against Fulham FC (good news is we won 1-0!). It was amazing to see one of my top favourite players, Raúl Jiménez out on the pitch!! What’s even better was that the seats were so well worth the view which were very affordable! All to say that this match and the atmosphere were lively so the experience was very meaningful and worth every pence to be at this stadium supporting Fulham!

Review #6666! Gayle and I took in a Premier League match between Fulham and Manchester City last Saturday at Craven Cottage. I was a pleasant walk (mostly in a nice park) to the stadium from the Putney Bridge Tube station and an easy exit from the stands and back to the London Underground. Craven Cottage has been the home of Fulham F.C. since 1896. My Charlton friend tells me that you used to be able to watch ships pass by on the Thames while watching the match. But with foreign ownership and revenue enhancement beckoning, the new (and not yet completed), Riverside stand now blocks that view and kind of stands out vs. the rustic features of the original stadium. Our seats were flip down and a little tight, but no complaints. A London friend of ours advised that we should have gone to see his team (Charlton - League 1), but at a premium over face value, I wanted the the Premier League experience at least once. We sat in Section E (Row J) in the Johnny Haynes Stand. The view of the pitch was decent, even with a pole partially blocking the view. However, we were too high to see the electronic scoreboard on one end of the field. The TV screen in our section helped. We of course rooted for the home team and hoped that Fulham FC would hang in there. But alas, the vastly superior Man City team easily defeated the home team by the score of 4-0. A friend of mine in California (a Man City fan) was up early to watch the match and we exchanged observations throughout the match. He of course was thrilled. As I was basically a tourist here (among others in the stands), I was only a bit disappointed. As football matches can get a bit rowdy, alcohol is not allowed in the stands and beer sales are cut off early. On that note, Gayle and I enjoyed a burger and a pint under the grandstand with a couple dozen "friends". I also came away with a Fulham scarf for a souvenir, and later my brother's note that players Tim Ream and Antonee Robinson are American. At the time of this review, Fulham was sitting in the lower half of the Premier League table. They've been here for 2 years after being promoted from the Championship League, with maybe some previous relegation. Maybe next year will show have them move up a bit. Come On Fulham! Really beautiful stadium! Food and drinks are overpriced, but that's pretty typical. The workers there are all super nice too, allowing us to linger after the game to take pictures.

First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - I've been to Craven Cottage so many times now. I've seen Premier League games here and a League Championship game here. The problem is, I'd come here so often because it's beautiful, intimate, cozy, friendly, and I felt an affinity with the club because of the Michael Jackson statue. As soon as they tore it down, I stopped coming. He was one of my fave musicians of all time, and destroying a statue of a dead man is heartbreaking and heinous to me. I don't care if it's unrelated to football. I just don't care. Nevertheless you won't find much better places to come and watch football, and it's a shame it's not a Prem stadium anymore. Being in here, right by the bank of the river, watching this tiny little club, is always a pleasure, and everyone should try it. The damn owner tore down the Michael Jackson statue. Awful. Other than that, it's top class. Cheaper than most London stadiums, really nice fans, warm family atmosphere in a nice neighborhood, and best of all the stadium is literally on the banks of the River Thames, what could be better? As an American who saw his first Premiership game here, it truly was awesome. It was a lovely mid-January day (30 degrees below zero in Minneapolis that same weekend so anything above zero would be a joy). We made our way to the Putney Bridge stop of the tube. Went downstairs and went to one of the bars that houses the Fulham faithful. Since our game was in the afternoon, we were able to watch Peter Cech's return(and Chelsea's loss) against Liverpool. The atmosphere in the bar alone was fantastic and when we saw Babel's strike, the place went nuts. After a few pints and a definite lift in our steps knowing Chelsea were going to lose, we started our walk to the stadium through Bishops Park and the Lawn. I don't remember exactly where it was but on the walk, someone sets up a stand for some excellent grilled food. When we made it to the stadium, we were seated in the Putney Bridge end next to the Tottenham fans who were full of song. The game itself was listless, but the atmosphere kicked ass. I saw Clint Dempsey's debut, and it was the first time three American gringo's were on the pitch for the same team in English Football. Post match, I made my way to the edge of the stand and could see the old risers that the stadium was built on and you could just imagine what the crowds were like when there was near 40,000 in the stadium. Overall I highly recommend this for anyone looking to experience English football. I can't stand all the "orchestrated" music and such at NFL, NBA, & MLB games in their shiny new sterile stadiums, so I don't go. The only stadium in the states that I think that has the neighborhood feel is Wrigley Field in Chicago, but again that is baseball and a bit dull. I give this only four stars because like others have said, you can't have a pint in your seat and that is wrong. But would I go again? Definitely.

This is my footballing mecca and home of Fulham FC. I first visited this place 21 years ago and return every 10-14 days for another home game of the mighty Fulham FC. I hope as a Fulham supporter people can read this review and take on board some good knowledge without making abuse comments as I was there when we were poor and dreadful, so being in the Premier League means I feel untouchable to your comments! Lovely old style football stadium right on the River Thames. Beautifully quaint old stands (although the stands behind the goals are modern) give it an atmosphere that is gradually being lost at English football grounds as new identikit stadia take over. Although it's old the facilities aren't too bad and a half-time beer beside the river is a pleasant way to kill the 15 minutes. It's relatively close to Hammersmith and Putney so there are plenty of places nearby for pre and post match drinks. I've only been once but at least my team won.

The power of foreign ownership and TV money in football can be witnessed in the fortunes of Fulham Football Club When I was at medical school at Charing Cross Hospital down the road, my friends and I used to come to stand on the terraces at Craven Cottage because it was a cheap way for poor students to watch some live sport. Granted, it wasn't salubrious or warm but you could go to a match and get some food for less than 15 pounds Love him or loathe him, Mohammed al-Fayed has transformed this club through his ownership and investment and with the help of satellite TV money, Fulham are a solid mid-table Premiership club these days, enjoying visits from glamour sides. They remain one of the cheaper Premiership clubs to support but a day out here will set a family back well into 3 figures these days. However, the facilities are of course a lot better than in my 'standing on the terraces' days. Unlike the stewardship of Roy Hodgson, the team are playing astute and pragmatic football, which has taken them into Europe this year Not the most fashionable team to support but it's a team with history and the waiting list for season tickets is a lot shorter than Chelsea!

Baaaa... Baaaa... I like it too... baaa... Baaa... 4-stars from me as well... baaaaa... So it seems that I (along with the rest of the yelpers) agree that this is a quality 4-star establishment. I was not there for the footie, but rather for the Oxford/Cambridge boat race. The stadium is not only perfectly perched along the river for all of the epically exciting action, but also has some rather posh bars and members lounges that were ideal viewing locations for the 30-seconds of racing that blew past us. (Sure, it was so cold that we ended up watching much of the race inside on the large flat screen tvs, but who's counting?)

The 4 Stars "Yay! I'm a fan" is fitting, as well, I am a fan of Fulham FC. Actually, I am a season ticket holder. Craven Cottage isn't the biggest, newest or nicest Premiership stadium in London, but there is a certain something about it that makes this place special. There really is no bad seat, as the 25,000+ person stadium is pretty small and offers many great views of the pitch. I have sat both behind the goal and on the sidelines and can say I've enjoyed both areas. Obviously, being behind the goal is pretty exciting when play is on your side of the pitch. The stadium is easy to get to (and a nice walk through Bishop's Park), there are plenty of entrances making it easy to get to and from your seats and almost every seat is covered.

I'm not a fan of football really at all, I mostly act as the "supportive girlfriend" whenever my boyfriend's team are playing. Although he isn't a Fulham fan, we've both been here twice already. The first time we visited Fulham FC was because a friend was taking his nephew to see Fulham play. They live round the corner from the club and are fans. I really enjoyed myself. It had a real family feel to it and was a good size, not too big and daunting and really relaxed. During the summer, I went with my boyfriend again to watch Celtic play Fulham in a friendly. There were lots of Celtic fans in the stadium, but again, a really lovely atmosphere and cheerful vibe, despite Celtic having lost that day. For a non-football fan, I must say I've enjoyed both occasions when I've visited the club. It's a great wee place in a really lovely part of Fulham.

As a visiting fan this is a great away day. Compared to the usual away days Fulham is a great day out, nice pubs, nice area, good banter from the locals and a very welcoming ground which is full of character. It is a little crampt in the stands and away fans are put into the temporary stand but this is still near the top of grounds I like going to

Say what you want about Fulham as a team (go ahead, I dare ya) but I will not hear an ill word spoken about Craven Cottage. One of the last Premier League stadiums with any character, the Cottage is nestled along the Thames in a relatively quiet residential part of Fulham. The old cottage is still part of the ground and really adds to the charm of this rustic ground. Sure it only holds a fraction of an Old Trafford or Emirates but that's a good thing as there are really no bad seats in the ground, it's a very intimate place. It's a very safe and family friendly ground with a good atmosphere and when the team lose, which they doa lot, there's no rioting or swearing just lots of oh well, musn't grumble as you come out of the stadium. Tickets are cheap (for the Premier League), the amenities and food are good, and you can't beat the location, just a 5 minute walk from my house :-D

I was really taken aback by Craven Cottage. It's rather a lovely looking ground. It was only 1996 that saw Fulham not far off the bottom of what is now League Two (I think) so their stadium had to be rebuilt around 2004ish to meet Premiership standards. Even now though, the full capacity is "only" 25,700 people. This makes Craven Cottage really rather special to visit. Rather than the usual London Premier League stadia, which I find rather intimidating in size and the vast swells of people one encounters to and from a match, this ground feels friendlier and more welcoming. It's a particularly pleasant walk through Bishop's Park to get there, the tickets are relatively affordable, and the fans are passionate but friendly (although I may have neglected to wear my Tottenham Hotspur shirt the day I went). I watched them play against Roma and didn't hear any swearing that I can recall, felt closer to the pitch than I have at any other stadia I've been to (even Loftus Road), and it was easy to get out afterwards. I've been to Craven Cottage about three times now in the last three years to go and see the Fulham v Middlesborough game (don't even ask why it just became a tradition for us!) Admittedly I've not been to any other Premiership matches to compare it to though I've seen a few international games Wembley Stadium. The walk to Craven Cottage is fairly entertaining as you make your way there from Putney Bridge (or Fulham Broadway) with the rest of the crowd. Most people seem to be quite energised and make the walk at pace to get to the stadium. The stadium doesn't seem very big and as a result you can really feel part of the action. The atmosphere as a result is very good and I love the fact you can stomp your support and you when you're all doing it must sound pretty impressive to the players. Great character.

Craven Cottage is such a lovely old ground, it's impossible to dislike it. It has a lot of character and history, the atmosphere is great and the seats are close to the pitch, so you get that added feeling that you really are making a difference when you shout your support. There's a largely friendly atmosphere between fans rather than the hostile nature of other clubs and stadiums. Even though I'm not a Fulham fan, it's always a pleasure to go to a live game and Craven Cottage makes it a great experience.

Been to three matches at Craven Cottage so far... love it. Even way up in the cheap seats the view of the pitch is incredible. Compared to American stadiums (that seat up to 100,000 people) this lovely stadium on the river is old, the seats are horribly small and uncomfortable, but it's charm is amazing. Even as you wait in line to use the tiny bathrooms you'll appreciate the English charm of this place. There are plenty of pubs around to go to before or after the match, so take advantage.

Caught Fulham FC v Blackpool FC... Sat 2 rows from the pitch! Great action, saw Clint Dempsey show his stuff and Fulham won 3-0

The last time I was here (the away end), Aston Villa managed a draw after missing two penalties (that's Juan Pablo Angel for you). I like the atmosphere of the place, though, if not the result. The home fans are useless. You can have a great time here as an away fan abusing all the American fund managers who go to the Cottage to support their local team. They don't sing and they don't get behind their team. It makes you feel good about your own team. Still, the Fulham fans can't be all that bad, otherwise they'd be down the other end of the Fulham Road supporting Chelsea. Don't get me started.

Decent little place for the family and friends. Very conservative football ground, football O.K by their standards. If u do visit do not sit in the jonny Haynes stand as it is very cramped and you could hear a pin drop.

Declaration of interest - my dad took me to my first game here in 1960. Yes, I am really old. Once you've made that riverside walk from Putney Bridge through Bishop's Park to the most beautiful football ground in the country, you're hooked. Where else can you watch the boat race and a football match in the space of an hour? Of course, Fulham are perennial under-achievers, but it matters not at the Cottage. One rainy Wednesday evening many years ago, the whites were battling to a goalless draw against Bury. The ball was kicked into the crowd. An actor (of which there are many here) caught it, and quick as a flash, whipped out a pen and signed it. His pals followed suit. That's the way it is at Fulham - the crowd's autographs are worth more than the players. A lovely place to spend a quiet Saturday.

Another good family club to take the youngsters to and reasonable ticket prices

One of the few old style stadiums remaining (especially for a top flight club), I quite actually enjoyed my experience in the Craven Cottage. Albeit you may be unlucky enough to sit behind a beam or a supporting pillar (which makes it that much more important to choose your seating carefully if you are booking online!), the atmosphere is not bad, you can feel the passion of the fans. I would say the scale or size of the stadium helps all this as it is rather compact, and it is funny how the players have to strut to one corner of the stadium to get back into the changing rooms. Not too far from Putney Bridge, the short walk (through a small park) is not bad. Having visited as an away fan, I felt Fulham have a nice stadium here - however, does not seem like it can be expanded so no idea if they will move away one day to increase attendances - would be a pity.

Fulham are an odd little football club. First off, their name and location: despite what it may suggest, Craven Cottage is closer to Hammersmith than Fulham proper, where it is Chelsea who hold court. Secondly, there is their pantomime existence in the Premiership, marked by improbable great escapes, some truly great players, more than a couple of hastily-hired (and fired) gaffers, and, of course, the gaffe-ridden ownership of a certain Mr al-Fayed. Then there's the stadium. I'm told, by real fans, that so ancient is 'the Cottage', it qualifies as a listed building. And that's no surprise when you have seen its ancient facade, which is clearly visible on Match of the Day, and the crumbly, rusty edges, which are not. But you can't argue with the atmosphere created here by the twenty thousand odd souls who congregate here on any given gusty Saturday afternoon by the Thames. Win, lose or draw, west London's less fashionable premiership club always seems to be enjoying itself slightly more than the blue-shirted brigade down the road.

Very enjoyable place to catch a game! Smallish, and cozy, but the view lines are good. A bit cramped around the concessions, but very enjoyable nonetheless.

Whilst this stadium does not have great facilities, you are guaranteed a nice friendly crowd and a great view of the game! Highly recommended.
