Cravin' It (Food Truck)

Well I ordered the 3 gumbo tacos and gumbo package and it was delicious. There was a lot of meat, and it had a little spice to it. While waiting I hot to taste the fried chicken and it was on point. We waited in a long line but I would wait again that's how good it was 👍🏿

We liked it! Took my mom here while in the area. Parking can be a little tight due to location. They had run out of a couple of items but it was a little past normal lunch hours and they seem to get alot of business. They are also cash only. The guy that worked there was super cool though and the "secret sauce" is amazing! Would definitely visit again!

Ummm, yea you want some chicken with some flavor? This where you need to be, fish, shrimp and wing baskets stay hitting.And, they got the sauce.... no, like for real, the sauce is AMAZING, the customer experience is great, with friendly quick service. I love it! Been eating here since they opened the doors.

The "Gumbo Tacos" are mediocre. The Gumbo itself is off the chain, very hearty, meaty full of sausages, chicken, shrimp, crawfish and whatever else meat they had in it. It was spiced up just right, but my tacos was cold and didnt have that cheese melt reaction i excepted when i dipped in. Theres really no excuse for it to be cold with line and i literally walked to my truck behind the building to eat it. Its definitely not worth the $30 I spent, but I enjoyed the experience as the hype was crazy and the marketing was genius. 3rd Ward has culture no matter what so I went for fun. It gets 3 stars because it's okay, it's nothing fascinating, or captivating, I'm not even interested in returning as long as Turkey leg hut is 3 blocks up the street. I'm I'm just saying.

Best wings ever !! Please go support this hard working young woman! I travel all the way from Saint Louis for her wings. Best in Houston ... worth the flight definitely.

Omg! The food here is soooo good. You can literally order anything from the menu, whether it’s chicken, shrimp, fried boudin, hell even the salad has a nice kick. The owner Ravin is super sweet and professional. I’ve been coming here since 2017! Seriously won’t regret it 👌🏾

Great little food truck located outside the Valero gas station at the corner of Almeda and Southmore. Relatively simple menu of wings (various flavors), chicken tenders, shrimp, fish, and fries. I ordered the Lil' Buddy Wing Box doused in Cravin' It sauce and also sprang for the deep fried boudin. The wings were excellent, having meat that was tender, moist, and easily came off the bone. I was particularly impressed with the Cravin' It sauce which is a mixture of several different sauces that imparts a delightfully unique flavor. The deep fried boudin was not quite as good as the wings or as other kinds of boudin I've found in Houston but was still reasonably tasty. The only drawbacks to the experience were the homeless man who hassled me for money as I was placing and waiting on my order as well as the fact that they were out of drinks (The menu shows them serving iced tea and homemade lemonade). The credit card system was also down at the time, but I was able to pay using CashApp, so it wasn't a problem. Such issues were really relatively minor, though, and given the quality of the food and friendliness of the service, will not keep me from returning to try some of the other menu items.

Presssssuhhhhh, top 3 wing places in Houston. Large crispy wings with a great amount of sauce. Nice fries as well, and the fried boudin is great too

I ordered some food to be delivered and this place texted me 45 minutes before it was due to be dropped off to cancel. I would avoid this sketchy restaurant at all costs.

I love the chicken and shrimp here, ate it all so fast I forgot to take a picture. A staple food truck been in the community for years now! Excellent customer service food made to order.

Late Post.. went to Cravin It about 2 weeks ago. On this particular day they were preparing food out of a different truck not the normal food truck with the logo on it. Upon ordering no one else was in line so the wait wasn't a problem. However, many of the menu items such as wings and salad weren't unavailable. I decided to get the shrimp, tenders and fries meal for $17 and the deep fried boudain(can't remember the price). The order took about 15 minutes to receive but it wasn't a big deal. The shrimp and tender combo came with 7 shrimp (ate one before taking the picture) 3 tenders, plenty of fries, a fresh Hawaiian roll and special sauce. The amount of food given for the price was acceptable. I was very pleased with the taste of the food as it was fresh, hot, seasoned well and very flavorful. The shrimp and the tenders were a nice size and they weren't overcooked or dry. I would definitely return just hope the full menu will be available when I do.

Cravin it is soooooo good! I would eat there 24/7 if I could! The wings are sooo good. The sauce is very very good, the longest time I've waited was probably 15 mins max, the crew is very sweet as well.

So my girlfriend and I went to this place twice the food (boudin and wings are good). My fires were cold both times. The next day I went I had no sauce I just took my gf sauce and no roll the salad looks dead asf. So yes I can say the wings were good leave off the fries. Plus girls go with a friend because she literally tried to get my gf number . She was pissed then the next day he asked why she didn't want to talk like ew.

I tried them out at black restaurant week food truck festival. I wanted to try the fried boudin, but they were out so I order the chicken wing and shrimp platter instead. It was a bit chaotic during while ordering process, which took a longer than planned due to issues with their card swipe device. The gentleman had to manually type in my card number about 4 times. My sister and I eventually got my food about 10 minutes after ordering. Instead of staying at the festival we decided to take the food to go and head home. We tried the fries, delicious! We also tried a few of the shrimp which tasted good and fresh. However, I grabbed a wing and noticed some time of string was sticking out. At first I thought it was hair but eventually realized it was left over feathers on the wing! I saw this on two different wings, immediately became disgusted and refused to keep eating. I would have returned the Platter and asked for a refund had I not already been halfway home at the time. Would not recommend as it was evident that their chicken wasn't cleaned properly.

The first couple times it was really good. I was literally craving it so I went and it did not taste the same, fries weren't crispy at all and wings were alright. Definitely not as good as the previous times.

The hours of operation is wrong, this business is open right now. The owner of this food truck has really done her research. The optimal price for any meal is between $6 to $8. My pan seared talapia and fries was at $8 on the head. The truck was easy to find. It's right next to the softball field. The owner's name is Raven and she is very open minded and cordial in a genuine way,not in a "pretend to be nice so I can get your money" way. I gave her a few ideas that could propel her business to another level and she attentively listened. I haven't eaten talapia in no less than 2 years. This fish was delicious. It could easily be mistaken for something you'd order at a 4 star restaurant if you just went by taste. The presentation was great as well. Lettuce , tomatoes, and secret sauce. It was very flavorful. I live more than 10 miles from this place so I had to trek to get here. It was worth it. Gas is cheap now so I'm really more likely to drive more often, anyway. I will be back and I'm taking my friends there .

An amazing place to eat late at night or any time you can catch this place posted at some of HOUSTONs hottest hangouts. The owners are amazing down to earth professional women and you can tell they take pride and their work... boy does it show in the delicious food! If I were you, I'd bookmark this place and on a late night while looking for food, simply follow the directions and like the song says "it'll take you there" Can't wait to visit this place again! They keep the freshest, most flavorful seafood in the city after hours you won't find anything better!!!

I am absolutely in love with this place and a solid performance in the Food Truck industry. Cravin' It has continued to provide the best fries and wings combo. I have been there many times and continue to return with coworkers and friends, everyone always leaves with stellar reviews. There might be a little wait for the food but it is totally worth it. They are normally in the same spot but use their Instagram or Twitter to locate them for the day...Try it and you will not be disappointed!!

Didn't have the wings, went for the porkchop. After a evening of drinking and loud ass music. It really hit the spot.

Don't waste your time. They're always out if something I've been trying to give the food a try but on both occasions I went the first they were out of fries and Hawaiian rolls, second time out of boudin. Fries and rolls come with every combo order and boudin is supposedly one of their signature items, definitely dropping the ball. WHOMP

This food truck is bomb!! I found it located outside of The Spot, on a Sunday afternoon. I could smell the food as soon as I walked outside the venue. I ordered the wing plate, I requested all flats and it was a dollar extra, not too bad, I've definitely paid more for all flats. The food was made very fresh, I waited about six minutes to receive my order. The plate comes with fries, salad, and this awesome wing sauce. I would definitely stop by again.

This food truck came out to our bank bldg. last week and the food was good but people were a little disconcerted that they wanted to mix food and politics into their trip. There was an event flyer that was out of date on the front of the truck but it was also telling people HOW and WHO to vote for! Not a good mix! They were asked to take it down and the food service person didn't take it down.

I found this food truck at Pride and I was pretty open to trying it, since they had chicken strips. But after ordering, the process was terrible. Before ordering, they mentioned they had ran out of fries, so to me, the chicken strip combo I thought I was getting, was no longer a combo, and they still had us pay for the entire thing. It wasn't until my friend ordered the same thing, except he brought up the fact that since there was no fries, it should be cheaper, and they agreed. My question is, why was this not extended to everyone else? I paid for an entire combo, and in return got no fries, over cooked chicken strips that were very dry, no seasoning, and little sauce. My other friend got the wing combo (it clearly said wings on the box) and instead, they gave him chicken strips, without informing him. My other friend, who ordered right after me, got her food AN HOUR AND A HALF after I did. They failed to acknowledge her and continued serving everyone else. The only reason for the 2 stars is because I couldn't give 1.5 (the .5 for the sauce) It was one of the most terrible experiences with any food truck ever and as a customer, it was unfair.
