The 7 Best Crawfish Restaurants In Austin

"You would hope that a place with “crawfish shack” in its name would know its way around a mudbug, and we’re happy to report that this spot on Wells Branch Parkway delivers. The flavors here are pretty traditional, but the crawfish gets tossed in a heavy mix of housemade Cajun spices and butter at the end, adding a deep, rich depth to every bite. Crawfish Shack is built for this—the tables are covered in long sheets of white paper, with bibs and napkins at the ready. And with crawfish on the menu all year round, it’s not difficult to see why.  " - nicolai mccrary

Very happy this place is open once again! Place is really generous on there portion of snow crab and is delicious for a cheap price you won’t find anywhere else, blue crab was very good as well. Service was solid, place is really good and worth coming back.

We came once before and liked it a lot. This was our second and last time. I order the fried mushrooms app and when they came out they were still frozen in the inside. Then me and my partner ordered 2ob of crawfish which came with sausage slices, corn and potatoes. I tried a sausage and it was sour so I grabbed another to smell it and again a sour smell. I told the waitress and she admitted to smelling the sour smell. Then as eating our crawfish we realized it tasted bad as well. We paid $50 for the worse experience. Not even a discount or nothing. Never again

We were a party of four. Had to wait approx 30 minutes for a table on a Saturday at 5:30 pm. Server was busy so we weren’t tended to as often as we would have liked, but server was good and was efficient when asked for things. We ordered 12 Cajun wings, hushpuppies, 2 pounds of snow crab, and 2 pounds of crawfish. Flavor was good. Quantity was good. Quality was good. Family friendly environment. Handicapped parking available. Not pet friendly. Bathroom was clean, restaurant was clean. With tip came out to about 35 per person. 2 alcoholic beverages. Would recommend.

Google
Food is always excellent the flavor is always great. Always served hot and it’s always delicious. The service could use some improvement. There was no people when we visited and our waiter would not check in on us regularly as other places do. We waited maybe 10 minutes or more to get our order taken and the place was basically empty. Waiter checked on us at first and at the end we were not getting any refills while we ate. Could use some improvement.

Food is delicious. I love their live crawfish hottest with cold beers. KZee is our server. We recommend this place. My visits have always been at the up most profesional, never fails to surprise us with the amazing food options and services.

Google
Our first time here, Do not order the oysters! They are not fresh 🤢. My husband ordered the gumbo and it was bad, definitely not authentic. I had the shrimp tacos and they were okay but not the best, the hush puppies tasted bitter. Don’t waste your time or money. Very disappointed ☹️

Google
Came in from out of town and decided we had to try Crawfish ATX. The flavor of the boiled crawfish and shrimp were great just not spicy like we like them. (I’m from deep LA) Our raw oysters, charbroiled oysters, fried pickles were all amazing! The atmosphere and staff were amazing! Our waiter knew every inch of the menu and made suggestions based on questions. We will be back to try other menu items!

Google
The new location is definitely a downgrade. They are stingy with the seafood. They give you way less than what you pay for. I ordered Cajun wings and they served me burnt drumsticks with seasoning. If you gonna eat here just stick to the seafood. The other food is not good. I rather just drive to crawfish shack at least they give you corn and potatoes with whatever seafood you get and they not stingy.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was great! The combo platter had fish, oysters, and prawns. Everything was seasoned well. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
First time knowing this was in SPM and my first time trying it. I got the pound of shrimp and pound of crawfish, you have to add all of your veggies. There is nothing included. I was disappointed to find out nothing was included but I added potatoes, corn and sausage. The flavor was very good. The medium is pretty spicy and I will say there is a tad of sweetness to it that I was not expecting but was not off-putting. Service was nice, they only come check on you occasionally as to not interrupt your experience. Drinks were always refilled and this is some place I would come back to visit when I'm craving a seafood boil. It's a classic boil restaurant with paper on the table and a country Cajun feel.

Yelp
Food was good, server was informative and friendly . We arrived pretty late to celebrate my daughter in law birthday. I called a couple of hours prior to arrival to inform we would be coming in and I requested the group to sing Happy Birthday to her. (Which they usually do) I was told absolutely; However, even after I reminded the front hostess when we arrived and told my waiter... the song never happened.

Yelp
I got my order to go! I got the NOLA Oysters and 2LBS of crawfish, spicy. The Nola Oysters were okay. I won't be ordering them again. The CRAWFISH was sooooo delish! A little salty but it helped my craving for crawfish. This is a real crawfish boiled. I have tried many restaurants and Crawfish so far is the best. I will be placing another Togo order.

Yelp
Living in Austin and finding good Vietnamese styled crawfish has been the challenge... until now. What makes Vietnamese styled crawfish distinct compared to others would be the abundance of garlic and butter they use post-boil. I've had a hard time in finding this unique style, as most places I've been to are overpriced or overcooked. For those seeking the traditional style, they also offer that as well. Spice levels can vary depending on your selection. For only $12.95/lb, you're getting a steal in Austin (Houstonians don't come for me, I know, we're paying double). Service is poor, as there is no sense of urgency here. In terms of cleanliness, there isn't much to go by, just average.

Yelp
We dined here Friday evening around 6:30pm. This was my first time here and last. The restaurant was decently full but no wait. Ambience ok- sort of a seafood nautical mixed with sports bar feel. We read the reviews before we went in, so I knew it could be hit or miss depending on what you order. Most reviews only complained about the oysters and raved about the crawfish. If you make it before 7pm they have happy hour food and drink specials. I ordered a Mexican martini for $5.50 and the hubby ordered the house margarita for $3. We were seated at a booth in the back with a nice window view. This is pretty much the end of my positives. We ordered jalapeño poppers. They were your basic, bought out the frozen food section and dropped in grease poppers, nothing fancy. My Mexican martini was awful- someone had poured a ton of olive juice in it. The house margarita just tasted like mixer. My hubby ordered the shrimp po boy and Cajun wings. His wings were slightly burnt but at least temperature hot. His shrimp on the po boy were hot but the french bread was hard and tough. I ordered the tilapia platter, fried, with Cajun fries. My food was completely cold! Fish batter was bland with no seasoning and tasted slight burnt also. Meanwhile my husband kept mentioning there were ants crawling on the window we were sitting next to. My son accidentally dropped a French fry on the floor. When I went down to pick it up, the floor was swarming with ants and the fry was covered as well as other food particles. I was completely grossed out at this point. My camera pics don't do it justice. We advised the server and asked for our check. He just looked at us like we had three heads and walked away for the check. No apologies or anything. He then brought the check and disappeared. Luckily we had cash so we could easily pay and leave. Typically I like to address these issues with management but I was tired with a toddler so I needed to leave.

Yelp
I'll keep this short and sweet, but the service was excellent and so was the food. The crab boil was excellent and for the price, the calamari wasn't bad. Oysters were super fresh. I think it's dependent on what you order here, but highly recommend the above and will be back for the crab many times to come!

Yelp
Been going here for years as the local crawfish shack! Friend and I came for a late lunch so no reservation was needed. I ordered my favorite, 2 lbs of crawfish (no sausage, potatoes, or corn) and regular fries. You can pick your spice level...mild was just good enough for me. My friend ordered the fried shrimp platters; lightly battered and seasoned. Definitely a must go to if you are looking for a local spot to eat.

Yelp
Heard rave reviews about this place especially the oysters. Also a favorite of my GF's kiddos. So, we decided to check it out with them. We arrived just before opening; hung out at the front door with the sign blinking open. Once inside they told us another 15 minutes as they were behind on prep. Took the rest of our party a few minutes to arrive so we weren't too worried. Drinks were provided quickly; we did forage for our own menus while we waited. First thing I noticed is most are the apps are small but equally cheap. I mean, who takes the time to put only 8 mushrooms in the deep fryer? Or how about 4 hushpuppies for $1.80? I'm baffled, thinking they went and stole the add on prices for extra at Long John Silvers. Truthfully, most of the fried stuff is straight outa the food service truck. And, those cheap apps are only there to entice you into spending your weekly paycheck on pricier food. Some of my raw oysters suffered from sediment meaning they weren't properly cleaned. The diablo shrimp should have been grilled or griddled instead of time in the deep fryer with all the other apps. Boudin balls were super tough. One member of our table never received her wings; that was to be her entree. I did find the crawfish etouffee acceptable with a light blonde roux. Only a few dashed of tabasco made it a solid dish. And now, they 2lbs of Cajun snow crab legs. Possibly some of the best I've had and the redeeming quality for my two star review. Service started out OK and got worse as our meal progressed. Refills started great and then it was down to waiving and asking. I appreciate the restaurant's tenure but I've noticed even some of their regulars have started to complain on yelp in recent months. We spent over $200 with tip; that doesn't jive with the food offered and the venue. Next time we'll just head over to Pappadeaux.

Yelp
***THIS PLACE IS NOW CRAWFISH ATX*** Since I've been trying to lose weight I haven't been out and about. But when an opportunity for a sister day came up I HAD to take advantage to get out with my bestie! We both wanted seafood so we decided on this place being that it was close to my house. Unfortunately, it didn't open until 3 so we had 2 hours to kill. And know when they say 3 THEY MEAN 3 on the dot! After lingering around southpark meadows, we tried to go in a few minutes before 3 and it was a no go. That's ok, do what you need to do. We were the first and only ones there for a little bit so the service drug a bit was unusual but I figure it was just the lag of first opening. And other people soon trickled in so it picked up pretty quick. Going over the menu, the prices seemed fair except for the add-ons for the boils. Things like $1 per egg seemed a bit much in my opinion but I figure I haven't eaten out in a while so maybe my expectations are off. We ended up getting sharing the oyster sampler and jalapeno poppers appetizers and each got a seafood boil. All together it came to about $93 not including tip. I don't feel like I have a gauge for whether or not that's good for 2 people so you be the judge. But I can tell you it was VERY good. I had a spicy boil with snow crab, crawfish, sausage and an egg. It was not only very pretty but it definitely quelled the cravings I'd been having for some really good seafood. And even though I don't know anything about the time period for crawfish season, I have to say the crawfish was the star of the boil for me...it was made perfectly and tasted fresh. Both appetizers were great as well. The oysters were my favorite. They were so good I contemplated getting some to go but I decided to not continue to ruin my diet and not allow the "treat" to extend beyond the this one lunch. But man I really wanted to. Especially considering it was happy hour so the appetizers were half price! I also wanted to get the daily special which was 2 for 1 fish platter for that day. When I got home I was kicking myself for not taking advantage of that deal even though I know for my diet progress it was the right decision. So I'll def be back to try more of this menu. My other regret is that I wasn't able to take pictures of my food for you guys because my phone storage was so low it wouldn't let me take photos so SORRY! It really is a shame because the food looked so delectable. So again, I'll go back soon to get pictures (for you guys of course)!

Yelp
**Updated Review** We've been back a few times and the service/overall experience has taken a turn for the worse. The owner/managers should really take a few minutes out of their day to read customer reviews. This location is a favorite to many and has so much potential but yet lacking due to poor communication and no reservation system. Yes, we get it - management prefers to have their customers wait on-site but that is outright absurd given the supposed wait times are not being honored; and quite frankly this system is antiquated. On one occasion, we called to see if there was a huge wait. The lady on the phone said, no ma'am come on over. We arrive only to be told, there's a 30-45min wait. No prob, I added my name to the list and went back to our car. I think about 30mins passed and no update so I went back inside. I spoke with the host; mentioned we called before leaving our home and were told we could be seated in 15mins now the total amount of time we've waited was 45mins. The host apologized and said it's about a 50min wait. I said no sir, that's absurd - at this point, we'd be happy to be seated at the bar and we were miraculously given a spot at the bar. On another occasion, we stopped by with relatives who were visiting Austin only to be told there was a significant wait time. I asked, how bad? The young lady said 1-1.5hrs. I said, thanks for the info but no thanks and left. During our most recent visit, we waited about 25-30mins to be seated. Despite the decent turnaround time for a table, restaurant offered a limited menu! They could have notified customers who called before heading over (as we did), that they ran out of both snow and king crab legs. While my hubby loves crawfish, I prefer the crab legs. Needless to say I had very little choice but to go with a "new dish" - the battered shrimps platter served with fries and two hush puppies. The shrimps didn't woo me - found them quite bland and no tarter sauce offered. Very disappointed with the overall experience and honestly not worth the continued hassle. I've decided to find another seafood place which is better suited to adequately manage the high-peak demand (busy time slots) while providing a pleasant customer experience.

Yelp
Came here on a Tuesday night figuring it's be quiet that way. Haha, nope. Turns out they have $2 beers on Tuesday. So the place was packed! We were told the wait would be thirty minutes, but thankfully that was an overestimate and a table was ready for us in twenty. (They use the method of texting you when your table is ready, asking you to wait outside the establishment or in your car.) This place primarily specializes in big buckets of seafood (crab/crawfish boils, etc.), so the menu is not terrible extensive. I think they would benefit from having some pasta options added. I got the shrimp platter and had the option of fried or blackened- went for the former. The breading was tasty and the shrimp were very moist and not at all overcooked. I would have enjoyed the cajun fries more had they been crispier and more well coated with spices. The hushpuppies were rather small. Our server was a little too overattentive, which is better than underattentive, but still, he came over to ask if we wanted anything else six times, so at a certain point it kind of felt like he was hoping we'd increase the size of our bill and therefore his tip... @_@ The restrooms weren't unclean but they were a little small and not well-attended to.

Yelp
I was skeptical reading the reviews but I'm telling you the crawfish is amazing. They were slammed and it was loud but they seemed to have their system down. We didn't wait long to be sat or to get our food. My kids and I were so impressed we ordered more and more! This is great crawfish no joke, we just found our new spot.

Yelp
I've been here ~3 times already, and I really enjoyed each visit! I'm not an expert in crawfish, but I definitely enjoy it and have a preference for certain seasonings over others. They do a pretty good job of packaging crawfish to-go, but it sucks that they charge you extra for gloves. I'm not sure if that's just the case due to limited supply during this pandemic. The first time I came, I could tell the crawfish either wasn't fresh or had been frozen. The meat was quite mushy. The last two times I visited, the crawfish was fine and tasted really good. I love their corn and sausages as well. Eating crawfish in Austin is bound to be pricey, but Crawfish Shack & Oyster Bar has been my go-to when I am craving. You shouldn't expect Louisiana-level crawfish, but I'd say it's still pretty good. Expect to pay ~$30 for a full meal here.

Yelp
What's not to love?! The portions are huge, happy hour is great, the waiters are kind, the place is bright, inviting, and family friendly!!! Highly recommend!!! Coming back very soon!!!!

Yelp
Best crawfish in Austin ! Nothing beats their sauce & quality of seafood . Would recommend to anyone wanting to try a seafood boil

Yelp
Great value, fast service. Got a half dozen oysters and two lbs of crawfish and just went to town. The spice levels were perfect and I was very happy with the meal

JK F.

Yelp
So I didn't think a place in southpark meadows would have the best crawfish but it does!! The fresh crawfish are soooooo good!!! Shrimp are great too.

Yelp
Eric was an amazing server and the food was amazing! We had the snow crab, crawfish, and calamari. The restaurant was clean, calm, and inviting. Eric offered plenty of advice and recommendations when it came to the menu. You definitely need to try the oyster shots if you've never been here before. Definitely will be returning soon!

G.D. N.

Yelp
This is in my favorite crawfish place of all time here in Austin. I give this a two thumbs up and include the cold beer and the bat tender D! If you want great atmosphere, food and drinks this is the place for you!!

Yelp
I've been here with family and friends multiple times over the years. I hadn't been during the pandemic because they were charging extra for sitting inside. I thought that was unnecessary and I don't trust this place with to go orders. My crab a few times seemed to be skimpier when I ordered pick up versus sitting inside. I recently visited and sat inside. To my surprise they now have a fountain machine for soft drinks instead of cans. I've only had snow crab, crawfish and the boudin balls here. The boudin balls this time were greasy and lacked flavor. All I really got was a lot of grease and heat. They were spicy but flavorless. Confusing? yes. They have been really good up until this point. Very disappointing. The star of our show...the snow crab. A lb was priced at the time $39. We orders 2 lbs with no potatoes an extra corn and extra sausage. They won't do half orders of crab. The size of the clusters? Consistent. Although this time the salt in the mild seasoning was too much. I had to ask for more butter to balance the seasoning. It was good but overpowering and spicer than I remembered it to be. It wasn't terrible though. A lady next to us ordered crawfish. We didn't order them this time. She complained about hers being dead. Our crabs were fine. The service was good. The kitchen forgot our extra sausage. He took it off our bill without complaint. When we came in there were only two other tables seated. A party of one, a party of two. They were already eating. About time we were eating, 4 more tables had walked in and 3-4 to go orders or delivery drivers had shown up. He was alone in the front so he was overwhelmed. He did well and we didn't need much attention. Everything I asked for he did immediately get for us. Refills or extra scissors. Can't complain about the service. It's a little hole in the wall place. Nothing fancy. It's our go to in the wells branch area for crab as there a ton of choices in Austin for crab unfortunately.

Molly T.

Yelp
If I could give one star I would. Food is incredible. But somehow service is bottom feeder level. We were told "our system is down" and then were asked to venmo the server. Spoke to the manager and was mansplained on how credit card processing goes when you type in the numbers. Was told "I'll get yall good next time you're here." What sense does that make. We spent 30 minutes and were late to work. You literally cannot hold customers when it's your incapability of processing payments!!

Yelp
We were a party of 10 here for a birthday. The food was GREAT. If you are looking for yummy crawfish outside of LA you will find it here. I am giving a 3 star review because the manager ruined the night. We ordered a pound of king crab. We did not have a problem with the price but with the fact that there were only two legs. If you go anywhere and buy a pound of king crab you get a cluster of legs. When we brought this to the waiters attention he said he would be right back. The "manager" (I can only assume because he didn't identify himself) came to our table and said "What is the problem?" This immediately caused tension. Customer service 101: approach your customer in a helpful way. Being annoyed and aggressive will get you nothing. Fast forward we brought it to his attention but he said he has pictures of H‑E‑B prices and it is fair. The manager end up storming off shouting he was a marine and talked about his MOS. As a military family we knew the MOS was a secondary MOS and the MOS he listed came to be in 2008...he claimed he has been in this business for 25 years. Sir, your dates don't add up. Point is, just because this is a pandemic doesn't mean you get to be rude to people because you don't like them questioning things. Also, I guess I will wait for his "rebuttal" he threatened us with.

Lester A.

Yelp
2 lbs of crawfish, 1.5 lbs of shrimp & Jambalaya (small). Went with medium spice. Delicious seasoning flavor, crawfish was delicious, shrimp not so much. Even with all the seasoning shrimp still tasted bland. Got one potato and one piece of corn with our order, wish it came with more. Fun getting your hands dirty while you eat. Jambalaya was a bit dry but enjoyed the flavor.

Juan D.

Yelp
today 02-14 Valentine's Day. My family and I wait for about one hour and 15 minutes to get a table. We finally got a table and we wait 20 minutes and no one got to us. We went ahead and let the host know that no one have services and she replayed that they were real busy. She asked another waitress to help us and he refused. I was with my 14 years old and 10. we went there after work and we waste like one hour and thirty minutes. real poor services. At the end and she told me that she was just the host and that she was sorry and that there was nothing she can do.

Yelp
We were craving some cajun seafood today and finally decided to try out Crawfish Shack & Oyster Bar. I've driven by this place a few times down at Southpark Meadows Mall, and I'm so glad we decided to give it a go. First of all, the decor is a woody rustic maritime, and I was all about it. It reminds me of places down near the Gulf of Mexico. They had a great bar and lots of TVs for watching games. Lily was our friendly server, and she was fast, thorough, and detailed. She brought a big piece of butcher paper, which would be especially great if you are having some boiled items off the chalkboard menu at market price. Today shrimp was $10.99/pound, for example. I think some of their boils require a minimum of two pounds, but let's be real, I was there for some fried shrimp. So, drum roll...I finally found good fried shrimp in Austin. The batter is a bit heavy on the cornmeal side (a bit more flour mixed and a pinch more of cajun spices would make it perfect for me), but the shrimp are fresh gulf shrimp, perfect in size, and cooked just right. The french bread was deliciously grilled, making it an awesome poboy. My sweetie had a catfish dinner that came with amazing cajun fries and two hush puppies. We ended up ordering a small order of 4 hush puppies because they were THAT good. The batter for the hush puppies was the best I've had outside of southeast Texas and Louisiana. SO tasty and fried in fresh oil. All in all, the prices were great, and they have even better pricing for their lunch. Kids also eat free on Tuesdays. We will be back for more yummy seafood soon!

Yelp
So last night was my first time here. Went out with a couple friends and was excited to try it because I really love seafood. But I have to say, it wasn't as good as it was hyped up to be. It was either over seasoned, or no seasoning at all. The drinks tasted like actual medicine and they gave you little portions. I also lost my wallet and when I asked the front desk staff have they seen it or had anyone turned in a wallet, they were very rude and didn't seem to care at all. I try to be very understanding of people that work in the food industry because I know how brutal it can be, but sometimes...it's like they forget that customer service is apart of their job too. I still gave a very generous tip because you never know what sometimes is going through. Hopefully next time, I'll have a better experience.

Yelp
If you want cooked seafood this is the place but I wouldn't spend any money on the oysters they are very small unfortunately.

Yelp
Tried this place the other night for the first time. Love this type of food but was disappointed in almost every way. The hostess wasn't around, the bus boy cleaned off and motioned us to a table. I took some menus as I walked by the hostess stand. The young waiter didn't bring silverware but eventually we got waters. We had fried oyster platters and shrimp tacos. The oyster were not hot and freshly fried when they came out, they had been sitting under a heat lamp for at least a few minutes. We also didn't have silverware and when it was brought, they didn't bring a set for the shrimp taco diner. The coleslaw had a nice bite but after a few bites didn't leave a good taste in my mouth. The hush puppies too were not freshly fried. The shrimp tacos were probably the best part of the meal. Through the dinner, as others came in, it seems like the whole fairly large dining room was totally leaderless. The hostess was clearing tables, the bus boy was at the hostess stand. Afterwards the food didn't sit terribly well in my stomach either. Fried food must be served as soon as it's cooked, otherwise it's not tasty. Not only was the food poor, the but service was too.

AJ A.

Yelp
Food was good, definitely recommend the oysters, fries and toast. Beer is cheap. Definitely will be back when the crawfish are in season! Service was great; felt bad bc one of their employees was late so our server was by himself but he did a great job & the place was clean!

Yelp
Food was ok but could use more seasoning. I got the seafood platter. The one fish fillet was huge compared to most restaurants. The oysters were chewy the shrimp were actually pretty good! Service was really fast & friendly. The restaurant was clean & nicely decorated (Austin Style)

Yelp
I stumbled upon the Crawfish Shack while searching for a place that offers grilled oysters. On the drive back from DFW to San Antonio, we stopped for dinner. While there was a line when we arrived, we were seated in under 10 minutes. We ordered a dozen NOLA grilled oysters topped with butter, garlic and cheese, 2 lbs of crawfish with mild seasoning, shrimp tacos and jambalaya. The jambalaya seemed to be loaded with mushrooms. The oysters didn't have the chargrilled flavor we expected, but were tasty still. The tacos and crawfish were great! The crawfish weren't too spicy and included corn, potatoes and sausage. The tab was under $60 for two of us, which was reasonable for all the food we had.

Yelp
The food here is so good. Everything I've had is awesome. Especially the crawfish. I like pretty spicy food, but the medium is perfect. The King Crab legs are . They have all kinds of delicious appetizers. Oyster shooters. I think the only thing that would make this place better is if they weren't always out of the Rockefeller Oysters and if they carried pineapple Austin Eastcider. Something about the sweet and spicy combo that is just so good. I've tried crawfish at quite a few places lately, but this one always brings me back in.

Yelp
I was placing an order and she told me to hold on a second and then almost immediately she hung up on me. I called back thinking it was accidental, but no answer. I called back 3 more times and no answer. I understand they might be busy but that's just rude.

Yelp
Don't eat here. Let me save you the trouble. This is NOT Cajun food. It's actually an insult to Cajun food. The seafood is not fresh. No flavor. And they cook their Étouffée with cream of mushroom soup!! Too lazy to make a roux. It's not too often where I literally have to throw the whole plate away, but with this place...straight to the trash.

Yelp
Tried going there after being treated rudely by Bartender and now realized won't go back. Food is good just dont order at bar or grab a drink there he'll either cough in your drink or spit in it. Go else where to be treated nicely.

Yelp
I was doing some shopping at Southpark Meadows Shopping Center and had no intention of eating dinner there until I spotted this place. I just liked the name so I looked on Yelp and was satisfied that their reviews were good enough that I would want to eat there. I was not sorry. I got a crawfish po-boy with two fried oysters on the side just to taste and ordered a Tuesday drink special called the Hairy Granny for $6. It hit the spot. Everything was very good and the service was also good. It's one of those places I hope to make it back to before I leave town. If you are looking for inexpensive seafood I can recommend this place. It's not gourmet food, just good solid comfort food.

Yelp
We normally love this place but the bar staff are incredibly rude. They don't even acknowledge you when you sit at the bar. When they finally do, they have serious attitude. This is/was one of our favorite spots in South Park meadows but sadly we will not be returning. Take my advice and go to Serranos instead!

Yelp
Came here in a group of 11 about an hour before closing. They ran out of the raw oysters for the day :(. The table ordered a whole bunch of things and the only thing that I really liked was my crawfish. I expected the size to be bigger given its proximity to Louisiana, as opposed to the crawfish spots I've been to in Cali. Still, the flavors of the crawfish were plentiful without having to be soaked in sauce. OK: fried mushrooms (only came with 8 small pieces) Not good: cajun fries were served as a small portion in a little basket and didn't seem very fresh, the gumbo AND the crawfish etouffee were bland. The jambalaya was really just rice with a bit of sauce.

Yelp
Ordered recently through Grubhub for delivery. Their website and menu were harder to track down than I would like. We ordered the Caesar salad with blackened shrimp, and the seafood platter with catfish, shrimp, and fried oysters. Everything was good, but they could have added a couple more shrimp on the salad based on the price.

Yelp
Usually when I come here the crawfish are not that big they're not usually the best crawfish ever but sometimes they're at least good enough to where I am able to get my fakes however when I see big crawfish and they're still so unflavored full I just really am confused I don't know if these crawfish are live or not they don't taste like their live boiled at all from you know how mushy they can be I wish that places have the ability to like clean or purge their crawfish but it doesn't seem like this place does that at all I wish that there was a little bit more flavoring being put into the crawfish to make sure that it would taste better and not only just seasonings on top but also seasonings inside of the crawfish more than just different spice levels I don't want just spicy food I want very good tasting food with a lot of different flavor profiles in it so

Yelp
This was my first time here and I'd say overall it was a pretty good experience. The shrimp and steak was really good and I'd say it's a decent price for what you get. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because it's not a place that is going to wow you. The customer service was average. Other than that, I would recommend coming here. We had a party of about 15 people on a Sunday and got seated fairly fast.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time and there were no disappointments. Had 5lbscrawfish, 1lb blue crab and that was just right for 4 adults. Well seasoned and "spicy" is the right amount of spice. Went on a weeknight, not too busy and got to sit on the patio. Would definitely return! Current market price $8.99/ lb for crawfish and blue crab. $10.99/lb for shrimp.

Yelp
***DIABETIC + KETO BEWARE*** I have gestational diabetes, and I thought I was having a nice, low-carb dinner. My blood sugar spiked up to 185 1 hour after eating. I'm not supposed to go over 140, 1 hour after eating. It's dangerous for myself and my baby. For scope, 29g of carbs puts me at 120 1 hour of eating. I have literally no idea what high carbohydrate crap I just ate. 185! I don't even want to know. I had 2 lbs of crawfish. Do they boil it in sugar here??! Don't get me wrong, it's delicious, BUT if you are medically diagnosed with any dangerous, carb sensitive issues, this is not your place.

Yelp
This place used to be amazing. But after my most recent visit, I will never go back. The crab was good although it was cold when I was finally able to eat it, apparently all of the silver/scissors were dirty so had to wait 20 minutes to eat. The hostess was super mean and our server ignored us.

Yelp
I've have seen this place many times and finally decided to pop in on my B day. They have a great happy hour 3-7pm. I sat the bar and the bartender Ozzy was great. Recommend some drinks and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We asked him about some food we saw other people order and he explained everything. The food prices are good and the atmosphere is real chill. I will be back

Yelp
You walk into a restaurant, order the menu, and then someone makes the comment about your eyes being too big for your stomach. The hostess sits you outside, you order food with a larger group, the waiter is too busy with multiple tables and is too overwhelmed to get the order correct. Sometimes businesses fall for the same ploy of thinking they can handle more people just because some tables are empty. While the service here was subpar. The food was great! I had 1 pound of shrimp spicy, Cajun fries, and 2 potatoes. The Cajun fries were pretty average, and the potatoes were just boiled. Exactly what you would expect. The game changer was the shrimp. I've been to similar Cajun style restaurants, but never with a significant amount of butter. The butter was a really nice layer of flavor that helped to coat and enhance the spice. Don't be intimidated to get the spicy level as it is a good kick, but it's not going to keep you sipping water the whole way for most people. The quantity was a good amount, and there was plenty of sauce to dip the potatoes and fries in. Besides the waiter messing up the order a bit, a function of a busy Saturday night, it was a good experience. Definitely recommend checking this place out when it's not too busy and get the seafood! Some other people got the jambalaya and etouffe and the quantity was not as good.

Yelp
I love this place. I've been eating here for 3 years. I give it only 4 stars because I think they need to expand. Go on a Friday and you can be there for 2hrs before getting seated. Especially when there's a party of 27 people ahead of you! I really don't have anything negative about the food options or service quality... my only issue has always been making a decision on what to get. The servers are pretty nice and the bar is well stocked. The sweet tea is fire! If you get a boil just know medium is a bit spicier than most.

Yelp
My wife wanted crawfish so we looked for a restaurant nearby and Yelp came up with this restaurant The floor seemed to be a little sticky 'cause when our server came around you could hear the squishy sound as he walked by. He was attentive and friendly. Made our dinner enjoyable. My wife had the Crawfish Etouffe which she said was pretty good and I had the Butterfly Shrimp was coated with a thin layer of batter. the shrimp seemed to be freshly cooked, couldn't tell if it was frozen, and came with two hush puppies and coleslaw which was pretty good. With two beers, our total bill came to $31.
