I'll start by saying that the food here is good, and the recent meal my wife and I had was decent, but Crazy Burger is a shadow of its former self.
Their menu use to be so unique but it has since been scaled back substantially. Long time staples were also inexplicably changed (for the worse). For example, the "whassupy burger" use to come with a side of a wasabi mayo (as its name suggests) but now it's just a generic spicy mayonnaise. The "justinquesedilla" use to be served with a red pepper aioli, now, nothing. A burger is $18-$22 but does not come with a side; they use to come with a side of slaw or balsamic bean salad; fries were a up-charge, which was reasonable. I understand businesses have to cut costs to stay competitive but taking away a simple side which can be prepared cheaply, in bulk, and ahead of time does not seem right. The business also adds an upcharge for paying by card which, by itself, is not a big deal but when compounded with other things, including cutting corners on the menu, just makes it seem worse.
Someone on another platform, in reference to changes made presumably after Gordon Ramsey's visit, wrote that crazy burger had "lost its soul." I reluctantly have to agree. That being said, the quality of their food is good and the homemade ketchup is still just as good as it's always been. Wishing nothing but the best for this business but I am not sure we will be in a hurry to get back!
