17 Essential Pho Restaurants in Houston

"As the name implies, this recently opened restaurant in Katy is all about phở and hot pot. The phở hot pot is a splurge at $33, but good to the last drop. A steaming pot of aromatic beef soup is brought to the table, with a platter of lean brisket, fatty brisket, flank, meat balls, noodles, and vegetables." - Minh Truong

My wife and I order Pho and rice dishes. The pho is mediocre at best. The rice dish was bad in my opinion. I was expected broken rice, but it was just jasmine rice and it came out mushy. Fish sauce was not good at all. We came around 2PM and only 1 table of 4 at the time, however the food took awhile to come out.

Their Bun Bo Hue spicy noodle soup is excellent! Pork hock, blood block, noodles, the beef, soup stock was just perfect!!! Reminded me of my mom’s cooking! My wife and I been back 3 times already! Also love their fresh made strawberry mango smoothie with a cute edible teddy bear! Will be back for more.

Great food! We tried the nem nuong, salted fish fried rice, nhung dam hotpot, and pho. Our waitress was friendly and provided good service. They are a new restaurant so give them a try!

Staff was friendly and attentive but not knowledgeable in hot pot. The meat selection was horrible (only had the Meats that you put in pho).

Food was alright, I was expecting my pho to come out hot but it was barely warm.

Yelp
Another new pho place in the burbs! I don't love it, but I also don't hate it. The pho itself...meh, 6/10 (10 being phenomenal). The natural (before any added condiments) broth is too dark for my liking. Which means there's extra stuff that doesn't need to be in there. Growing up my parents owned 3 pho places so I know what good pho is. I like to eat my pho as is, and dip the meats on the side with hoisin sauce & Sriracha. The cuts of meat are perfect, not too thin, not too thick. I ordered netted eggrolls as an appetizer. Crispy and yummy. I would say the thicker sweet chili sauce would have been my choice of dipping sauce because the texture of these eggrolls... but no complaints on the taste of the fish sauce it came with. The Vietnamese Iced Coffee took a bit long to make, but it's made to order. Super cute touch with the gelatin bear on top! :) Their menu doesn't list the full array of drink options available so make sure to ask! I saw wine and sake on the shelves. Perhaps I'll return to try the other menu items. Service was good. The interior is bright, open and tidy.

Yelp
Saw a few recommendations for this spot on my local Asian eats group so decided to check them out when I was in the area. The restaurant was easy to find but kind of dead for Sunday at 5pm. We ordered chicken wings and grilled bone marrow for appetizers. For our main course I ordered the bun Bo hue + oxtails and my boyfriend ordered pho with lean brisket and eye round. We also ordered salted fried rice (Com chien ca man) to share. Even though we ordered the appetizers first, everything came out around the same time. Chicken Wings - 4/5 - although they were delicious and had the perfect crisps to them, they were just chicken wings lol. They didn't really have any flavor that stood out either. Grilled Bone Marrow - 3/5 - I was super excited for this one and honestly it has potential. I just was a little disappointed because mine had more bone than it did marrow - i only had a thin layer but from what I tasted it was good. Can you really go wrong with bone marrow tho? Bun Bo Hue with Oxtail - 1/5 - the colors of this dish make you think it will be delicious, however I didn't really like the broth. It's a little too sweet for my liking and the meats weren't that great. Pork ham tasted subpar and the oxtails/pork feet were way too overcooked. I did not enjoy this one. Pho with eye round and lean brisket - 4/5 - judging by the way my bf slurped this down and complimented it, I'd say it's pretty decent. I like that you can have the pho with wagyu, which he didn't order but it's a nice option to have. Com Chien Ca Man - 3/5 - it tastes pretty solid but has a bit of an aftertaste to it that a little overpowering at first. Yummy dish once you get used to it. The serve it in a stone bowl so it stays warm for awhile and portion size was pretty good.

Yelp
I found another Pho spot in Katy and decided to give it a try. The inside is simple yet very cute. They even have a bar. I ordered the Pho with ginger. I also ordered an appetizer, something I've seen before but never tried. The bone marrow. I was not ready. The bone marrow was so delicious!! It spread on slices of baguette to soak in all the juice. It was so amazing!! Then they brought out the Pho. The broth so flavorful!!! I've had pho at a few places around the Katy are but this was really different. It was not only full of flavor but it had the right amount of meat in it as well. I was so full and happy when I left and I can't wait to come back and bring my friends. Highly recommend trying this little gem out. They also serve hotpot which I can't wait to try on my next visit!!!

Yelp
Food was great, excellent service and a fun setup complete with the robot server. Also brought back great childhood memories as I grew up with this style of fondue. In Switzerland it was called Fondue Chinoise!

Yelp
Idk why they have been closed but they need to open back up. Best pho and bun bu hue we've had since moving here. Also great drinks.
