It always smells so good when we pass by when we visit Downtown Summerlin. So we finally were able to visit tonight, on National Pita Day, because there were specials- pita $5- chicken, normally $14.99 and freebies (one per person- free bowl- no purchase necessary). I belong to the e-mail club.
There is a small area for outside dining. But lately it's been too darn windy to enjoy anything outside. That's Spring for Las Vegas.
One hour wait, the lady at the counter told me. I let some other customers go ahead of me. I called hubby right away to let him know. I got assisted by the owner, who I recognized, from the ads, and he was very funny and nice too. Gave us free drinks, Thank You very much. I took my son. We really appreciate it.
Clean bathrooms, good sign. There were lots of people inside. It was very busy for National Pita Day. Very roomy inside. It was about 25 minutes so I'm glad that we stayed inside to wait. We took it to go.
The pita was good size. The pita was excellent- so pillowy and soff. Filled with fresh veggies- cucumbers, tomatoes, large chunks of chicken- the seasoning was perfect, and it came with french fries and ketchup. There was a spicy chili sauce and tzatziki sauce too, mmm to both. The small chicken schwarma rice bowl was excellent, topped with yellow rice, which was cooked perfectly.
Thank You for having this event, celebrating "National Pita Day." I'm so glad that we were able to try it. The stringbean really liked it too. (This is the 3rd mediterranean restaurant that we've tried, as a family.) I can see why it's popular.
The drink cup and lid are recyclable.
