Crazy Sushi

We went to Crazy Sushi when they just newly opened at this location, and kept going back ever since. The food is fresh and tasty! I always say if a Japanese restaurant served good quality hand roll, it’s a good Japanese restaurant in the States! The service is always welcoming and efficient!

Service was excellent. Portions were large and beautiful presentation and ambience We ordered the salmon miso yaki appetizer and three rolls for two people and it was way too much. But so good we ate it all! The last two photos we didn’t order but they were so impressive! We stumbled upon a gem!

Love the new location, it’s so beautiful inside! Every roll was so fresh and delicious- our favorite is ninja vs samurai or pepper tuna. We loved every piece we had. My toddler was with us and they were so sweet to her! They had a cute kids plate and kids cup for her to use. Service was amazing and fast- they checked on us a lot and were so sweet to my toddler. We can’t wait to come back!

I’ve eaten a lot of sushi around Portland, and Crazy Sushi stands out. Located in Tigard near I-5, it’s easy to reach and feels like a real find. The fish is unmistakably fresh, and the presentation is thoughtful without being fussy. The creativity shows real care. Small details made it: the fried onion garnish was delicate and crisp rather than greasy, and the spicy mayo had a subtle hint of sesame oil so it tasted balanced and not mayonnaisey. Service feels distinctly Japanese, almost anxious to please, which in Portland is reassuring. The ambiance is relaxed and intentional, and the pricing is fair for the quality and portion size. You leave feeling groovy.

After traveling all day to get to Portland from the East Coast we needed a quick bite to eat. We decided to try Crazy Sushi, it was on our way to our final destination, and boy are we glad we did! The sushi was excellent and very fresh! Everything was unique and super tasty. The staff was all very friendly and the service was nice and quick. Great spot for sushi, highly recommended!

We stumbled upon Crazy Sushi through a search. It’s not that close to home and we drove right past our typical places to get there. We wanted something new. We watched our places that serve good but not great sushi start to serve smaller plates, cut back on servers and increase the prices despite the drawdowns on food and service. So we figured we’d give this place a go. We will be back, we will make the drive out of downtown Portland to return. There are multiple servers, who greet and serve you warmly. The food is fresh, reasonably priced. A draft beer is $6.50 a pint and they offer beers in different sizes including spouted tanks for the table. Reminded me of Europe. Take a quick snapshot of your party with the fun camera on your way put. Yours to keep. Parking is not terrible but you have to hope for curbside near the place. Highly recommend.

Nice interior, with main attraction on a huge cherry blossom tree in the entry of the restaurant. Modern, and good utilization of space for a small corner restaurant. Friendly staff and was the 1st week of grand opening drawing new curious patrons. Street parking poses challenges. We ordered sushi and ramen and both was ordinary. Price is reasonable and comparable.

I stopped in after visiting from out of town. Google told me this place is inexpensive, and offered carousel style sushi. I thought to myself 'perfect, just what I'm looking for before I get back on the road and head home.' This was not my experience. The atmosphere is light and bright, and the restaurant is clean. Staff were pleasant, though communication was a little challenging. This restaurant does NOT have carousel-style sushi (think conveyor belt), which was disappointing given my time schedule. Secondly, the prices were a little high, in my opinion. Especially the premium rolls. So....I ended up with two very basic rolls (1 Tuna, 1 Hamachi), and 2 orders of Nigiri. It was $27, and I got it to go so nothing else was included. The Hamachi Nigiri was delicious. The two rolls were not good. The rice tasted old, and the fish inside was almost non-existent. In other words, very minimal. I will give more positive feedback when earned. Unfortunately, this was not my experience. I could have done much better somewhere else for the money I spent.

Went here today after a park date with one of my best friends and her three year old son. Served was very friendly and kind! We ordered seared salmon nigiri, tuna on fire, a seared scallop roll, and also the chicken yaki-udon for her son. All the rolls were delicious but tuna on fire was my personal favorite! The yaki-udon came out piping hot with steam coming out fresh off the plate - very delicious. They also gave us a free "crazy sushi" tote at the end of our meal - I presume as part of the grand opening.

They recently opened this location and yet they tried to make it sound good by not creating a new yelp for themselves and just connecting it to their old locations. We are very excited that there was finally a sushi place in our neighborhood but unfortunately on our first try tonight we have been waiting for over 45 minutes for our meal at the table . It would've been nice to be told that the order was going to take so long or at least to encourage us to order appetizers ..... they also could have apologized for this. Do not go here there's many other sushi places close enough.

Went to Crazy Sushi with my coworkers since it's right across the street from work. We ordered seven rolls, and they came out super fast, which was impressive. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were generous for the price. The menu has a good variety, so there's something for everyone, whether you're into classic rolls or more creative options. The service was friendly and efficient, making it an easy spot for a quick lunch. The casual atmosphere and convenient location make it a great go-to for sushi in the area. Will definitely be back!

How can you say you're open and then not be open?! Very disappointing as your door hours say you should be open but your doors are locked!

Soooo Goood! Amazing food, great ambiance and top notch service. The OML roll was possibly the best Sushi I've ever had. Go try them out today! PS if its your Birthday you (and the rest of the restaurant) are in for a lot of fun!

This is the best sushi I've had at this price point in a while. Each roll was about $8. The nigiri was a little more expensive at $6 for two pieces. It was packed in here and the service was still fairly fast and very friendly

We had an amazing time at crazy sushi! We live right up the street, and have been excited about this place since it said it would open up. The food was great, large portions for the price. I ordered the heart attack roll extra spicy and was not disappointed. We were given chicken gyoza on the house, as well as a very large to go reusable bag. Amazing atmosphere, the pink tree is beautiful and there was a buzz around the restaurant. Thank you crazy sushi Tigard!

We've been waiting for this new sushi place near us to open and we finally had the chance to try it. We were not disappointed. The interior is bright and inviting. Our servers were helpful and friendly. The food was great and the portions are large. We tried the poke appetizer as well as the Crazy roll and scallop roll both were delicious. A fun retro photo station allows you to take a photo on your way out. It was a delightful experience and we will definitely be back soon.

We went in for lunch and got awesome sushi and service the other day. The rolls were filling; well made and they gave us plenty of ginger refills. The AC was on and gave us relief on a hot day, and the restaurant was clean.

Last few times, we noticed there may have very well been a change in owners. It's no longer the quality of the raw/fresh fish that I've loved over the years past. All new faces plus there's definitely noticeable in the menu and quality changes. Good luck to the new owners, but those of us that have loved the quality of years past, it's now definitely not there in the raw/fresh. Edit: (IMHO) to owner's response The changes I mentioned would be specifically to not just "staff" changes but also the menu. The menu is a lot more condensed and just tasted differently. We recalled in the past that most, if not all, staff were Japanese. Not that it mattered much here because food quality is what's important, but now it's mostly Korean staff. I should mention also that staff is very nice. It's just an observation thus, the changes I noticed.

Great quality sushi. Service was really good as well. Highly recommend their sushi and sashimi boat. Their chicken teriyaki and tonkatsu were pretty good as well. The restaurant is a bit small, but rotates pretty fast. Plenty of parking spaces.

Love this place. Food is amazing, and staff is very friendly. Everyone smiles. Best sushi I've found anywhere.

This is our local sushi place and we just love it. Eat here probably twice a month and the staff is always friendly and fun. Ambience is always awesome, especially if you're celebrating your birthday. Don't want to say much if you haven't been here, but you have to come on your birthday. Sushi is phenomenal from sashimi to the fun rolls. Can't say enough good about this place.

Used to be the best sushi in town! I will say their prices have gone up quite a bit. We have also found that it is just not cost effective when there are other sushi places that really are comparable. We loved this place but we noticed we were spending 80$+ for 2 adults and one child. They also are picky when you ask for sauces and ginger. Like they charge extra or want to charge you... haha so we have stopped coming because the last time we came everything seemed over cooked or not up to the standards worth almost 100$. For train style sushi we have found sushi town off Scholls to be amazing. Then you are also not forced to buy whole plates and can have more variations.

This was my first time in here. I normally go to Sushi Hana because it's delicious, fresh and affordable. I have been staying with my mom in Sherwood for a few weeks while I transition into my new space, so I decided to give this place a shot. First off, I want to say the staff was very very nice and pleasant. But I honestly don't think I'd go back. First of all, I ordered hot tea and the cup they gave to me was so scalding hot, that I couldn't touch it for several minutes. Then I was a bit shocked to look at the prices on the menu which were double of what I pay at other places. I understand times are hard, but I could not justify paying 6.25 for 2 pieces of salmon Nigiri and 6.50 for 2 pieces of smoked salmon nigiri. The pieces were also smaller compared to other places. Seems like this place is trying to capitalize on the inflation happening, but there was nothing that special about how this was made or the quality that would trump what I've had anywhere else. I would have gotten more food and it was very good, but again, could not justify the insanely high prices. If the prices were more reasonable I would consider trying it again. Until then, I will stick with Sushi Hana. :)

Excellent service, menu, presentation, and absolutely fresh and delish. Son's 31 birthday and they recognized that so nicely!!

Crazy Sushi is still our weeknight go to spot. It's small and gets busy fast during the first hour of opening, so come early or later. It's not a great spot for large groups but they manage it, you just have to wait a bit at times. The sashimi is fresh and the BBQ chicken is very taste without being all sauce forward.

What can I say, the people here are pure gold. They are so warm and welcoming. The food is always exactly as I ordered it, and very fresh. It's a favorite spot for me.

There is nothing crazy about this sushi except that it is crazy good! We came for mother's day and ate a sushi boat. It was perfect for three people and left very satisfied. I thought the spicy tuna was exceptionally tasty with a nice spicy kick. I also thought the fish was fresh. I enjoyed the variety of the sashimi. Overall, this is a wonderful institution with lots of great fish. The miso soup was mediocre, but no one is coming for the miso soup. No offense to anyone that does. On a side note, there is a gluten free soy sauce option and low sodium soy sauce as well.

I'm not sure what has happened, but the quality of fish and portion sizes have changed. It didn't taste real fresh, and the rolls were shorter than they've ever been. Used to love this place, but I won't be going back.

Had some great food here again. I hadn't been back in quite a while and was happy to have a delicious meal again.

Stopped in for lunch today. Was in the area for a job and was looking for a well rated sushi joint. Decided to try this place. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, with nice lighting. The service was very quick, attentive, and accurate. I got some assorted nigiri, seaweed salad, miso salmon appetizer, and a small hot sake. Overall, everything was incredible. I'd say I'm used to nigiri being good but somewhat plain. This place takes pride in every bite. Each nigiri had its own individual slight variance as far as topping and preparation. If you're in the sherwoof area and looking for a great sushi joint, definitely try this place.

Super Good service and food! Love them since WAY back. Try the Monkey Balls (I know, but TRUST ME) and I'm a huge fan of the spicy tuna. CLEAN GOOD FOOD!

I always hate having to post a negative review. Crazy Sushi has been my stop for sushi for about 2 years. Unfortunately, something happened that changed that. The other day I was meeting my family for dinner there. We hadn't been able to get together for the Holidays, so this was going to be our holiday dinner. There were a total of 6 of us and we called ahead. 4 members of our family arrived. The other 2 were a few minutes behind. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very grumpy older lady. I think she may of been one of the owners. We were told that she wouldn't honor the reservation due to the arrival of 2 of our party being 5 minutes apart. Not even a wait, but a refusal to allow us to dine in. She also seemed very annoyed that there were children in our party. It really cast a negative feeling on our holiday dinner. We went to another local restaurant where we weren't a burden. We used to have lunch at Crazy Sushi 4-6 times per month. I guess it's time to find another sushi restaurant.

Crazy sushi has always been great in the past but it has gone downhill. At least with carry out and delivery they charge to cut the sushi into pieces. That should be part of the process. It still is pretty good but not what it used to be.

Excellent sushi! Very friendly staff!!! We will definitely be back. Also nice that they are open to 9:30 on the weekends! Very accommodating!!!

Hands down, the absolute BEST sushi place in the area and I am a harsh critic. The atmosphere was pleasant, staff were extremely friendly, prices were reasonable and everything I ordered was incredible. I will be back!

This place is truly the best sushi's restaurant I have ever been too. They are so nice and courteous. I love the vibe it's nice and small limited seating tons of pictures of all the customers splatter the wall. The sushi boat is the best a mixture of several sushi . I orders some spicy noodles and they hit just right. The rest of the sushi was awesome . I give them 5 stars worth the money and the ambiance is really good. Check them out the next time your in Sherwood.

A few things I wanted to note first- Staff every friendly but not as attentive as they should have been. Came here on a somewhat busy Saturday night for them. Ordered 4 diffident items- 2 appetizers & 2 sushi rolls. Chef made to go sushi orders first which made us wait 40-50 mins for our rolls. Which was a little disappointing because a few other tables who came after us received their meals and right away. We waited at least 40 mins before any items were delivered to us. The other table that ordered after us received their order of rolls soups and salads before us. Pretty disappointing because we were there first and waited longer. It would have been a nice gesture for wait staff to mention to us they forgot to make our appetizers because we got the appetizers 10 mins after we got the rolls which was disappointing. First time going to this sushi joint and I'm afraid it will be my last. There's nothing I found "special" about this Resturant. Salmon appetizer had the entire salmon on it which included to bones in tacked. Salmon salad didn't have decent pieces of salmon on top of it. Large thick and hard salmon skin which was challenging to consume. Sushi rolls- fish & rice Just fell apart before leaving the plate.

Wow! I went here on my birthday and they turn off all the lights and have their own little birthday chant. The food was very good and they were very quick to deliver the food. There were a bunch of pictures on the wall for all the birthdays and that made me want to come back even more. I would HIGHLY recommend this place.

This place does their very best and it shows love this place.Smiling faces attentive servers I wish more places were like this especially steakhouses when you're paying 50 60 85 bucks per person.

Service is awesome, selection is huge , I love the crab rolls they are delicious. The staff is friendly the sushi chefs are focused and detailed. Also other selections on their menu beside sushi. Closed on Sunday

Crazy Sushi is a delightful sushi restaurant. The restaurant was fully staffed with at least 3 sushi chefs, 3 servers, and other staff which ensured that patrons were served in a very reasonable amount of time. All our meals were tasty, and portions were generous. The servers were friendly and informative. We will definitely be back.

This is Korean own restaurant in Tualatin. Volume of fish is greater than any other place. I will recommend to order Chirashi sushi there... Regular sushi is okay except rolls (maki sushi) are added by sweet sauce all over that I can't take it. Now problem here is actual Korean dish...that is questionable. I have never had that much worst Korean dish before... Bibinbap with Sea Weed and Daikon Tsuma (it should be next to Sashimi) instead of typical Korean vegi...(bean sprouts, zucchini, spinach and other Asian vegi). And their Chijimi Seafood pancake was worst. That is not close to Korean pancake nor Japanese Okonomiyaki. I will recommend no one to waste your money to their Korean dish. Just stick with only Chirashi zushi.

My second favorite sushi here in Sherwood. I loved it the first time I went but went for lunch and the food was mediocre. I'm hoping it was a fluke.

I really like crazy sushi it's not really different from other sushi places but overall it's really good has a good service and it just has a calm feeling to it.

Worth the wait!!! Such great service. Good sized portions and so delicious. Arrived 6:00 Saturday- gave name- waited in the car 10 minutes and enjoyed a fabulous meal at the bar. Loved it!!!

Very tasty food no matter what you pick. The Bento boxes are great and the sushi very worth the wait. If you are celebrating a birthday, there is quite the show. Flashing lights and music for your special day. One of our favorite places to eat. Family friendly but not for very large groups since the location is not huge. The waitresses are very prompt and kind. A must try.

For not being close to the ocean, definitely some of the freshest sushi in Sherwood. The staff is on point, the food is fresh, and our belly's are usually maxed out. This spot is the real deal. Always enjoy our time here and usually bring new people with us. Thanks for always giving us a good experience.

The sushi was amazing because there was raw sushi fried sushi and tons of variety of fish and they also included a low sodium soy sauce and the spicy ramen was the best ramen I have ever had.

this is the friendliest bunch of people i have ever met. the sushi is affordable and delicious. the ramen was very tasty as well. someone was celebrating a birthday, the lights went out, flashing dance lights turned on, clapping, singing and joy commenced. hands down best sushi experience ever.

This is my go to sushi spot! Their sushi is absolutely fantastic! Every time I go it's busy so that should tell you something. The staff is phenomenal; I've never had a bad experience and I've been coming here for several years now. My top recommendation is the 503 roll and the white roll. Truthfully, I've made my way through much of their menu and it's all delicious. If you come for your birthday they turn off the lights and put disco/strobing lights on and sing a rendition off happy birthday while the whole restaurant claps. It's actually fun! All in all - you won't regret coming here!

Delicious sushi. This is always crowed. The staffs were nice and good service. We only had take outs only, we hadn't eaten in the restaurant yet. Well located place.
